The women who is at the hotel at night is lovely and helpful. The room was filthy and had no air conditioning and 89 degrees in Florence. The sheets had someone else’s hair on them. Tried to ask for a refund due to unsanitary condition and received no assistance. Checked in and checked out the same day . No soap, shampoo or hair dryer in the room. Did not feel safe in hotel as solo traveler. Requesting full refund and will dispute on my credit card.

Highly recommended Palazzo Tolomei ෆ The atmosphere are the best in Florence! The location is very convenient can walk to the most popular tourist spot.The room is cleaning and romantic,everything is so good here! Also ,the host of the house Daniela was incredibly kind and welcoming, and everything she prepared was simply wonderful.We enjoyed all the restaurant and sightseeing by Daniela recommendations. Thanks Daniela so much for giving us honeymoon so romantic and unforgettable experience in Florence! Looking forward to seeing you again in the future! Grazie !

This place is a hidden gem!!! It’s quiet, the rooms are GORGEOUS, the palazzo is STUNNING, Daniella is the sweetest and most adorable human, the staff is attentive and friendly, the snacks and common rooms are beautiful. I could go on for the whole day about what a joy it was to stay here. Its location is perfect for walking to all the main tourist sites. Florence is small, so walking is easy, but this is in the center of it all. The breakfast is soooo good, and there are tons of super cute restaurants on the same street. The laundry service was quick and reasonably priced. We spent 2 weeks in Italy in several towns, and this was by far our favorite room. We stayed in the deluxe suite and it was just incredible. It’s great for romantic couples, and has space for families too.

The opportunity to stay at a 16th century palace doesn’t present itself every day, so with the chance to do so, at Palazzo Tolomei Residenza in Florence, we didn’t hesitate. The authenticity and beauty of the palace is well preserved and well decorated. From the front gate and court yard to the beautiful frescoes throughout, Palazzo Tolomei will transport you back in time, making the experience of Florence more memorable. We extended our visit and therefore stayed in two different rooms, each spacious, elegant and comfortable. Complete with a music room and library, Palazzo Tolomei gave the feeling of home away from home, if you lived in a romantic palace, during that time. It was truly breathtaking. They thought of just about every amenity from fresh fruit in the music room, bathrobes and slippers, tea, coffee, snacks, etc in each room. The location is within walking distance to many attractions, shopping, and restaurants in the city center. We enjoyed our quick stroll down to breakfast at La Ménagère each day, which was a lovely experience all on its own. The true beauty of the Palazzo is Lady Daniela. She is so passionate about life, the city of Florence and the Palazzo Tolomei and it is infectious. Daniela’s hospitality, as well of that of her staff,( we met Guglielko or William) makes everyone that walks through its doors feel like honoured guest and leave feeling like old friends. We couldn’t imagine staying anywhere else on a return trip to Florence.

It is an old palace, nicely decorate with friendly staff. The owner is a very nice lady. The floor in the room had a few loose tiles but nicely decorated. The breakfast service is at a nearby restaurant and the ambience and food there is fabulous.

I never got to stay here. I made a reservation and asked specific questions and the next morning I woke up to find reservations were canceled by them. I never had this happen before. I don't understand all the great host reviews and 5 star treatments. Not sure this will get posted based on all the glowing reviews. We were suggested other options by the host platform and we will find something I am sure it will all work out for the best.

The best stay during our Italian trip! Daniela was so kind and welcoming. Every morning she served us a large spread of delicious, authentic Tuscan breakfast in the dining room, where classical music is played and you can admire the beauty of this old palace. We stayed in two rooms, each spacious and unique in design. We were upgraded to one of the suites and we couldn’t get over how truly remarkable the frescoes are in person. A must stay in Firenze if you’re looking for something special or romantic!

The palazzo is a magical place, both the accommodations and the staff simply could not be more lovely. Our room was incredibly spacious, and charming, and we were made to feel so at home by Dario and Daniella. We can’t imagine a nicer spot to stay in Florence, and will definitely be back! Additionally, the complimentary breakfast is extraordinary. It changes day to day based on what is freshest, and the staff all take immense pride in the meal they serve, its extravagant and wonderful.
