Palazzo Viviani Castello di Montegridolfo

Lovely hotel set in a medieval fortified village ("borgo") with pool and two nice restaurants close by (the Bistrot in particular is excellent). The family room was a little bit tired but charming and spacious. The staff are friendly and helpful, especially at breakfast, which we enjoyed every morning. Urbino and Gradara are a short drive away. The Montegridolfo museum about the WWII local fighting around the"Linea Gotica" was a nice addition to our stay.

Five stars are not enough for this place. The best hotel and restaurant I have ever stayed in all of Italy. The dinner amazing, people friendly and the hotel out of this world. The rooms are very nice and look like you are travel back in time ! They call it castle in the sky and it is very true. I hope my photos do justice to this place.

The location is great. The hotel rooms being inside the houses of the small castle village is astounding. You must like the sound of crickets though, because they are extremely loud, so it's uncomfortable to be outside or inside with the windows open. We were excited for the advertised memory foam mattresses, but unfortunately we got a regular (hard) spring mattress (which was upside down at first, and the springs were poking in our backs) Furthermore very well renovated..

Spectacular views of the surrounding hills, valleys and even the sea. We stayed in a delightful studio in one of the small houses inside the castle walls. Great local food at the restaurant, plentiful breakfast, friendly and helpful staff. Cute castle cats.

I was taken here as a surprise for my birthday by my boyfriend. It was a welcoming hotel with good food and a lovely atmosphere. It is a castle so expect the rooms not to be in perfect modern decor and you’ll be happy. The manager is clearly very professional and his staff have the right balance of friendliness and professionalism. I felt welcomed, made to feel special & loved every second of my stay.

Five stars are not enough for this place. The best hotel and restaurant I have ever stayed in all of Italy. Very friendly and polite staff. They had a spa which is rear to get in Italy. The dinner amazing the breakfast fantastic the hotel out of this world. They call it castle in the sky and it is very true. I hope my photos do justice to this place.

I have slept in this hotel only for one night, my boyfriend got it as a birthday surprise for me.|We were warmly welcomed by the girl for the check in.|The hotel is located in the beautiful castle of Montegridolfo.|Very nicely decorated and clean our suite was in the tower overlooking all the hamlet and the surrounding hills.|Our room was really impressive and it felt like being in a fairy tail.|There is also a beautiful garden with a swimming pool overlooking the countryside which was very enjoyable.|Because of the new Covid rules there was no buffet breakfast but we could still choose for homemade cakes and biscuits, croissants and tea and cappuccino.|Would surely recommend this place, it’s unique in its charm.
