"KLM’s most frequent flyers—those who fly 700 flights within a decade and reach one million Flying Blue miles—receive a rare Royal Palace Het Loo house, which is not available to other collectors (only about 100 people have this one). These most frequent flyers and important corporate customers also score an invitation to the famous reveal party each October to discover the new house."

We visited this palace over the weekend, what a pleasant surprise! A beautiful palace, it tells a lot about the history of the kings of Holland, about the architecture. A very well preserved palace, the view from the top of the garden is a sight to behold. We loved everything, one of the best palaces we have ever visited.

This is a great place to come and spend 75% of your day. You'll get a chance to visit the inside of the palace as well as wonder around the palace gardens. There are several restaurants that offer food and drink.

Great place to enjoy quiet walks through opulent palatial interiors and perfect French gardens. Many places to enjoy a coffee and something to eat. Early mornings is best to visit, as large crowds gather around noon, especially during weekends. You will be asked to remove your jacket - and be sure to do so, as personnel is very insistent.

Beautiful, full with history about the king of the netherlands, explains a lot about the architecture, the rooms in the palace, and all about the memorable history of this country. They have beautiful gardens as well. 🫶🏻 I came here with a museum card so there is no wait on queue for the tickets. It can be a lot of tourists but it was not that busy

A Majestic Day Trip Steeped in Royal History Paleis Het Loo is an absolutely beautiful palace that offers a rich and immersive experience into Dutch royal history. From the moment you arrive, the charm begins—whether you choose to walk the paved path to the main palace or opt for the convenient €1 shuttle ride, the journey sets the tone for a memorable visit. Once inside, the grandeur is undeniable. The rooms are meticulously restored and provide a vivid glimpse into how the royal family once lived. Each space is thoughtfully curated and filled with detail, offering both elegance and authenticity. You have a choice in how to explore—either with a free, well-designed booklet that guides you room by room or by renting the app and headphones for an engaging audio tour. Both options enhance the experience depending on your preference. The gardens are a true highlight, reminiscent of a smaller version of Versailles. They are beautifully laid out and perfect for a leisurely stroll. You’ll want to take your time soaking in the symmetrical designs, fountains, and blooming greenery. There are also two lovely on-site shops offering tasteful, non-touristy gifts and items—perfect for a keepsake or special gift. And when you need a break, there’s a charming restaurant near the former stables with a simple, satisfying menu and pleasant outdoor seating. Just an hour and 20 minutes by car from Amsterdam, Paleis Het Loo makes for an ideal day trip. The combination of history, beauty, and atmosphere makes this a must-visit destination for anyone interested in royal heritage, architecture, or simply a day of cultured exploration. I can highly recommend!

We primarily visited the garden today because we visited the house earlier. Because daffodils and tulip season had ended and the perennials still were green, it was rather empty but still a very nice experience with a lovely iced cappuccino at the kiosk in the back. Did you know that the founder of the castle , William the III, chose the building spot because it was in a low place so that the water for the garden that came from higher grounds, was easily led to the fountains and ponds. The garden cannot be visited separately, the entrance is through the house. The house and gardens are accessible to wheelchairs. Catering is provided on several spots.

Really enjoyable few hours walking around the palace and new underground museum which is a absolutely stunning space! Well worth a visit. There's a family ticket available for two adults and up to 4 children - really good value!

Yelp
It is a beautiful Spring day and you feel like going to the museum...ah..I wanted to see this palace and the gardens for some time already. It is located in a beautiful woods and has a great adjacent park. You start with parking close to the stables and car garages. If you feel like already having a small break maybe you can check the restaurant/ cafe which is located in the old garage. They have a great selection of sandwiches, salads, soups and sweets. You can enjoy your break on a nice terrace. If you are already up for it you can start your walk to the palace and the gardens. It will take you about 7 minutes to walk through a really nice alley to the main palace. It is a very big palace. Both wings of the palace host different types of exhibitions. Currently there is Sisi exhibition in one wing and orders in another. Sisi's exhibition was very nice, informative and nicely done. Order exhibition...ah...they make orders they give those to each other...not something that gets much of my attention. Our journey to the main palace started. You go thorugh floors and see different bedrooms, sitting rooms, writing rooms of princes, princesses and the regent queen. I really loved all the different styles of the rooms. You can see rooms in the decor from 17 - 18 century, from 19th century, but also from the 50 of 20th century. Really impressive. I am sure you could just stroll around a lot longer..but the park invites you.. If the weather is great just take your time and stroll through this beautiful park and adjacent forest. On your way back to your car be sure to check the stables and the garages. It is a great museum, little bit off the main route, but definitely worth visiting. I decided to give 4 instead of 5 stars, as I found parking fee, 5 euro on a higher side and there was not sufficient information about the exhibits.

Yelp
This National museum is a real pleasure to visit. it's been beautifully restored to historic conditions. To walk through it is to gain a sense of past royals and their lives. I do not, however, recommend taking this tour with a toddler! It's a tad too contemplative a stop for the under-five set. The gardens were great for running and exploring, though. This is a place I hope to return to someday (alone), perhaps for one of their special exhibitions.
