The positive: The hotel is centrally located, and the beds are comfortable - but that’s about it.
In our opinion, it’s definitely not worthy of 4 stars.
The rooms are extremely noisy, every time our neighbors went into their room, it sounded as if they were coming into ours. Every door slam could be heard, and to make matters worse, our room was right next to the office (so we heard that door slamming even more often).
I’m aware we were centrally located above restaurants/bars, but the closed windows were so thin that it was as loud outside as if we’d had them wide open.
The bathroom is poorly designed - I turned on the rain shower for 2 minutes and the entire bathroom was flooded! Just two minutes! Either limit how far the shower can be opened and reduce the water flow, or change the drainage/floor so you don’t end up flooding the room as well. Luckily, we only stayed one night, and I had to use all the towels just to dry the floor.
The minibar was hotter than the outside air - it was switched on but felt more like a heater.
The parking situation was an absolute nightmare. There is only one remote control for the parking lot (getting there with an SUV is tricky, but that’s on us) - the real issue is that the entire hotel has to share that one remote. We asked in advance how we’d get to our car if someone else had the remote, and the hotel staff just laughed, saying, “Oh, that would never happen.” In the worst case, they said, there’s a number to call so they can open the gate remotely.
Ironically, that exact situation happened the same evening - at around 8:30 pm we stood in front of a locked gate, the remote was gone and never reappeared. Only the next day did a different remote show up, but the one from the previous evening was never seen again. The phone number they gave us only answered after 3 calls - and remotely, nothing happened. The man on the phone apparently manages several hotels and said he’d send someone over in 45 (!) minutes.
We had planned to go for dinner at a restaurant, most of which close at 10 pm, so this was absolutely ridiculous! Especially considering that in the morning we were laughed at and told that everything could be opened remotely. Instead, we had to stand there like fools, and after 30 minutes, a resident happened to let us in. The person who was supposedly sent never showed up and never called back. On vacation, I can definitely think of better things to do than stand in front of locked gates for at least 30 minutes because you can’t access a parking space you paid for. For €30 a day, I expect a completely different parking service - in other hotels you get your own card. Leaving a remote in the lobby on a “trust basis” is just ridiculous.
There was also back-and-forth regarding the booking, so we had to call several times - but compared to the above, that was the least annoying thing.
So, I can’t recommend this hotel at all - there are plenty of others in this price range that are truly worthy of 4 stars.
