The positive: The hotel is centrally located, and the beds are comfortable - but that’s about it. In our opinion, it’s definitely not worthy of 4 stars. The rooms are extremely noisy, every time our neighbors went into their room, it sounded as if they were coming into ours. Every door slam could be heard, and to make matters worse, our room was right next to the office (so we heard that door slamming even more often). I’m aware we were centrally located above restaurants/bars, but the closed windows were so thin that it was as loud outside as if we’d had them wide open. The bathroom is poorly designed - I turned on the rain shower for 2 minutes and the entire bathroom was flooded! Just two minutes! Either limit how far the shower can be opened and reduce the water flow, or change the drainage/floor so you don’t end up flooding the room as well. Luckily, we only stayed one night, and I had to use all the towels just to dry the floor. The minibar was hotter than the outside air - it was switched on but felt more like a heater. The parking situation was an absolute nightmare. There is only one remote control for the parking lot (getting there with an SUV is tricky, but that’s on us) - the real issue is that the entire hotel has to share that one remote. We asked in advance how we’d get to our car if someone else had the remote, and the hotel staff just laughed, saying, “Oh, that would never happen.” In the worst case, they said, there’s a number to call so they can open the gate remotely. Ironically, that exact situation happened the same evening - at around 8:30 pm we stood in front of a locked gate, the remote was gone and never reappeared. Only the next day did a different remote show up, but the one from the previous evening was never seen again. The phone number they gave us only answered after 3 calls - and remotely, nothing happened. The man on the phone apparently manages several hotels and said he’d send someone over in 45 (!) minutes. We had planned to go for dinner at a restaurant, most of which close at 10 pm, so this was absolutely ridiculous! Especially considering that in the morning we were laughed at and told that everything could be opened remotely. Instead, we had to stand there like fools, and after 30 minutes, a resident happened to let us in. The person who was supposedly sent never showed up and never called back. On vacation, I can definitely think of better things to do than stand in front of locked gates for at least 30 minutes because you can’t access a parking space you paid for. For €30 a day, I expect a completely different parking service - in other hotels you get your own card. Leaving a remote in the lobby on a “trust basis” is just ridiculous. There was also back-and-forth regarding the booking, so we had to call several times - but compared to the above, that was the least annoying thing. So, I can’t recommend this hotel at all - there are plenty of others in this price range that are truly worthy of 4 stars.

Slept wonderfully in the renovated Paleis Hotel. The room has nice warm colors, a comfortable bed with soft sheets, smart-tv and small refrigerator. A spacious walk-in shower and wonderfully scented bath products. What more could you want 😊 |The bonus is waking up with a view of our king's working palace.. |Highly recommended. ✨✨

We loved our stay in this lush hotel in the heart of The Hague.|From the "+": pleasant receptionists and staff who gave tips for the city's sightseeing; honesty bar + "feel free to taste"-snacks in the lounge section + bookshelves and workspace at the ground floor; in a room: besides all the amenities we liked the high quality bathroom facilities (shampoo and co.).|From "-": parking slot price 29€/day and noisiness in the street at our window till 05:50 a.m. which literally held us from sleeping.|That's why we'd recommend the administration to give the quests earplugs )

We had a very nice double room which had its windows towards a small side street filled on both sides with small tables and chairs. The people were the outside part of local restaurants and bars. They were very noisy throughout the evening until quite late. Sleeping was an issue and we were unable to open the windows as the noise would have been even worse. |We understand that this is a city centre hotel but sleep should be the priority. The manager on our last day said that the windows are to be replaced so hopefully the problem may be resolved. |However, our room was lovely, clean and spacious and we had a very adequate ‘small’ breakfast which was not included in the price of the room. All the staff were very helpful and polite. The hotel is perfectly situated for city exploring.

Wonderful view from the 3rd floor over the rooftops to the palace. Great bathroom with a tub and a very comfortable bed with lovely cotton linen.|Very central; super support - our room was even ready even though we arrived a good two hours early.

Came to Den Haag for a short break and to visit the Keukenhof gardens nearby. The hotel is down a narrow quaint street, there is parking available which is secure and paid to the hotel. We were greeted by friendly staff when we arrived after our long journey, coffee was provided, everything was explained fully and not rushed at all. We had room 107 which was a large room with a very large comfortable bed. We didn’t need much from the staff while we were there but the Polish lady ( sorry I don’t know her name) who checked us in always found time to have a pleasant chat. Breakfast there was a small offering and unfortunately for me there wasn’t any gluten free options, they do offer a small discount at a couple of local cafes. All in all a good stay
