On the Grid : Palermo Hollywood

"The colourful tropical storm that is Palermo Hollywood is the brightest workspace and concept store in all of Nørrebro. Its a modern mash-up, where art and pop culture, sensuality and seriousness, fun and quality - and especially GOLD & GLITTER - go hand in hand. The shop stocks contemporary english books from modern feminism to colouring books, stylish stationary and selected fashion accessories. Pop on down and feel the vibes the girls are bound to make you smile." - Kaktus København

Palermo

"Palermo is the largest barrio of Buenos Aires and it’s a great area for visitors to see street art, stay, go out, eat, and shop. The top sight in Palermo is MALBA, a museum dedicated to 20th-century Latin American art. But for those who prefer to spend time outdoors, the neighborhood is also home to many green spaces, including Bosques de Palermo, a huge urban park where porteños hang out during the evenings and weekends. Because it is quite big, Palermo is divided into smaller sections, some of which should definitely go straight to the top of your must-hit list." - MATADOR_NETWORK

Yelp
This is a no frills, home style cooking type restaurant frequented by many elderly people and families. The food is heavy and portions are enormous - be warned. The sauces let down the homemade pasta we ordered which is why i'm giving a lower score. The pastas themselves were great (ñoquis and sorrentinos) but the mushroom sauce was pretty much cream with a few dried mushrooms thrown in at the end, zero taste. The bolagnesa sauce was a little better but lacked seasoning. Food is served sloppily table side. I'd give this place another shot but would definitely order something else.

Yelp
The Milanesas were really good. Not a fan of the Tortilla española, it was a bit too dry. Service was OK too. They have charging stations next to the front entrance, very useful for travelers.

Yelp
We ordered the Paella. It was delicious. Pricey, but enough food for 4, so that actually made it VERY inexpensive. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Neither of us speak Spanish, and our server didn't speak English, but we made it work. All in all, excellent service and food. I will definitely be back!

Yelp
Great food. It's like going to a friend's house and being invited to eat. Very Argentinean, with typical menu that even has a section for food "like grandma prepares it". It's always full with families and, mostly, groups of friends. Good idea to call in advance for reservation. Very cool spot in Palermo, a neighborhood full of pretentious places where food is expensive and the Argentinean experience gets totally lost. Palermo Cantina is a respite from all that snobbism!
