Pali Lanes (Wimberly & Cook 1961)

I grew up going here as both my parents were on bowling teams here since I was small. Loved it...now I bring my family here to enjoy bowling too. Great experience. Nice staff. Friendly Older employee gave my daughter a light weight ball. He went out of his way into the back to get it. Very nice 👍. Special rate $20 before 5pm Saturday up to 5 people for a hour!!!👍 Had a fun time....great for family. Will definitely go AGAIN 😃

Historic bowling alley, I loved the retro feel and everyone was laid back and nice. The lanes were well kept and we had no issues with any stuck pins, or the equipment not working. The place is cash only, but it was very cheap to bowl, you could even buy socks super cheap! The equipment is older but it’s well cared for and rocks the retro vibe for sure. I had a ton of fun and would definitely recommend! If more people bowled there they could definitely use the money to fix up the outside, don’t be intimidated by it.

Totally old school bowling alley with 1980's equipment. the place is a very cool low key atmosphere and the feeling of a small town hang out with out the clutter of new technology. We has a blast and celebrate family night.

This is the best place to go bowling. People are so friendly here. A great place for the leagues to play. This bowling alley is for all ages to play. The restaurant food is always cooked on the spot and fresh.

So much potential...wish I could get an angel investor or two and we could really shine up this historical jewel of Kailua.

I cannot grasp that this last true community hub in Kailua is closing, taking all of the great work it supports with it. Blessings to Pali Lanes and all of the great work you have helped to thrive over many decades. One of the last Kanaka (Indigenous) owned and operated spaces in Kailua. I held youth Peace Dances here, packed organic produce from local farms, and until last night, delivered healthy foods for Lena and Auntie Tammy to make into lunches for Hawaiian Charter School keiki. I will miss you dearly, Pali Lanes. Mahalo, mahalo, mahalo.

The people that work here seem nice and I get that it's a local classic, but this place is a dump. All the equipment is old, but mostly functional, but everything is really dirty. There is loose equipment everywhere. The arcade games don't work. My group mostly had fun by making fun of the place. It's not bad, but I won't bother going back.

Awesome family fun. The staff are friendly, the facility is clean, and the bowling is FUN! I would rate it 5 stars if the facility were updated, but I understand it's good old fashioned fun on the cheap for a reason! I really hope it is able to stick around, as there are few options for families in Kailua for entertainment now a days.
