Pali Wine Co. Wine Garden

I have enjoyed Pali for years - we have come on date night, celebrations, with our daughters for a long time. I have previously found this business to be very family friendly which is why we have enjoyed many sweet memories over the years. When trying to order a bottle of wine, we were told our daughters would have to stay in their seats the entire time. It’s a patio - on dg outside in a parking lot. I don’t typically stay seated an entire time either. It was very odd….Sounds like new management and unfortunately some instances of parents not watching their kids. I am pretty confident that drunk adults could do more damage though than kids sitting in the dirt. A lovely spot and disappointed to not share more memories here with somewhere that is not welcoming of families.

Really nice place to hang out and have some wine. There's a spacious covered patio and trendy interior, and they offer glasses, bottles and tasting flights. The only drawback is the tasting is a little pricier than others for no clear reason.

Drafted wines were so flavorful. This store at this location closes quite early , I think this is the thing in SB most of the wine restaurant are closed early. We were there by 7:45 pm on Sunday I guess. So they were just able to serve the wine is glass but we could not try the flights which we were excited to try. Also the food trucks are closed much early. Also the store itself provides some appetizers but even that was closed. Sit out is really gorgeous. It looks so warm- perfect to spend time with your loved once.

Great wine but poor customer service. We have tried going here twice during the winter but the staff there closes the place down super early. Called to confirm they were open until 7pm, the staff confirmed, we arrived at 6pm to find out we couldn't order flights (because it was an hour from closing time) and then at 6:15 they had their last call. Frustrating to say the least...

I love the wines from Pali. And I’m loving their new space. I’m happy that they were able to find a spot that has outdoor seating. Having a frozé on a warm day with a cool breeze is just *chef’s kiss*. And the space also accommodates for outdoor performances. A lovely guitarist sang lovely tunes when I was there last. I haven’t been disappointed with their wines and I really like their frozé. On that day, it was a lemon/lime flavor topped with their rose. Also, I just really like their laid back atmosphere. It makes wine tasting more approachable for people like me who may not have the most sophisticated palate, but does enjoy a glass. I will definitely keep coming back here.

I felt like the customer service was below average. It was chilly outside on the patio and we asked the server to turn the heater on, and her response was “we turn them on at 5 pm so you still have a while.” We got there at 2:30 pm……. sorry but the customer service in that scenario was trash. Be better.

Our favorite wine tasting stop in Santa Barbara's Funk Zone. The patio was light, white, and bright! And the awning kept out the heat of the sun while we relaxed and sipped our wine tasting. We got the Neighborhood Winery Flight, which is all natural wine, (pictured, $30), and the staff led us through how to do the tasting, and gave us a card that described each wine. We also got the hummus - which seemed to be homemade. It was garlicy and delicious. We were also thrilled that the patio is dog friendly! A great stop. We will be back.

Chill winery with nice ambiance in the middle of the funk zone. Was easy to order up front and find some nice seating. Flights were heavy on the Pinot noir spectrum, but I was not mad because they were all delicious. Wish I had time to bring home a bottle!

This beautifully decorated wine tasting location was perfect for a girls' trip. The lighting in the afternoon is ideal for pictures. The wine selection for the tasting was excellent, offering a variety of choices from chilled to red wines. The servers were pleasant and allowed all the parties to fully enjoy their time without rushing them.

We came for a birthday celebration, with no reservation & were sat immediately. The wine was mediocre at best, but unfortunately we were pretty let down by the quality of it. The service was okay, but not great. There was only one girl who was very attentive, we didn't get her name but she came at least twice to check on us, while our main waitress kind of forgot about us. It seemed they prioritize tables with reservations a lot more than just a walk in. The setting was nice & the live music artist was very talented. But we don't think we'll be back here. The prices are very high compared to many other places & the experience overall was very disappointing.

Cute spot, yummy wine! This was a fun stop during a girls day in Santa Barbara. We sat outside and everyone in my party ordered a flight, which we all enjoyed. Our waitress was super nice and we had great service. Would recommend Pali Wine.

Definitely worth visiting when you're in Santa Barbara! It is noted to be one of the top few places in the winery website! The service here is really great as well as they explain to you which flight is best for your pallet! I definitely recommend sitting outside as you can enjoy the nice Santa Barbara breeze and the greenery! I went with the neighborhood winery flight which has all the natural wines and everything is so light and airy one thing I would know as any winery places they have very limited food selection and as to note, they are also very overpriced.

We came in because Will Brennan was playing. I was happily surprised because they have Frozes. I really like the higher end wine here but not so much the lower end wine. The service was spectacular. The location has definitely been updated since it was Oreanna's. We were also checked in on which was nice.

Best tasting room in the funk zone! Ambiance is mellow with a beautiful outdoor patio. Great variety of quality wine. Service is always friendly. I'm partial to their neighborhood brand wines, however I do also enjoy tasting the varieties they offer in the flights. Will definitely be returning & recommending Pali. Cheers

I am a big fan of Pali. They have always had a great vibe and I was going for years as this was one of the spots Yardi hosted their holiday party at!

Worst experience at Pali in the Funk Zone. We went on a Sunday afternoon. Staff was extremely rude and unprofessional. They gave us our wine and never came back. We were interested in ordering snacks from the menu and I had to go to the bar to ask our server who was sitting with her feet up talking to her friend. She barely acknowledged me and then said they only had popcorn. I asked for water and she rudely pointed me in the direction of the water fountain. You can self-fill a carafe that barely serves four people. Mind you there was no one else there but at least four people working. I had to go to the counter to pay when we were ready to leave. Overall it's a gorgeous location with live music but there are a lot of other great locations nearby.

Stopped here for a quick glass of wine, and it was a great spot. The outdoor patio is very open and has plenty of space, and there was even live music when we went which was fun. They have a pretty extensive wine list and each wine was around $15 a 6 oz pour, which is pretty typical pricing. I ordered the "Market Price" 2022 orange wine and although it wasn't very orange in color, it definitely had the classic flavor of an orange wine, and I really enjoyed it. My friend ordered the "Harvest Moon" 2022 white wine blend, which is similar to a vinho verde. This wine was very refreshing and light which we also loved. I wish the servers explained the notes of the wine or just gave us more information prior to us ordering our drinks, but next time I might order a flight to get that experience. Definitely a good place to spend an afternoon with a glass of wine in the funk zone.

I was able to book a reservation for a bachelorette party here for 9 people whcih was ideal since a lot of the other wineries around here don't take reservations. Our servers were attentive and they have an extensive list of regular wine and then also wine flights. The don't have food but have smaller bites like hummus and pita chips. They have a variety of wine that everyone will like and this is the perfect place for a warm summer day. Get the frose if they have it- so good!!

This was probably the cutest place we went to on our little wine tour! I mean.... The string lights, little bistro tables, cute little wine glasses! And on a hot day, it was really refreshing to have a glass of frose! There was also some non-alcoholic options and some snacks too, although we did not try it. The guy who served us was really cheerful and nice! We got our flights pretty quickly :) Overall, great place for groups as there was plenty of seating and shade!

It's always a blast coming back to visit my alma mater and getting to see how the funk zone is changing. It's great to see Pali Wines in their larger spot and of course still pouring delicious wines. I opted for the "Fade into Autumn" tasting experience because it included a white, rose, and red wines but you could also snag some bottles and enjoy it at the smaller bar area or their larger outdoor seating area. I genuinely loved all the wines I tried! I was able to sample their natural wines which was a little different than what I'm used to but still very delicious. If you buy 2 bottles, the tasting experience is waived! Can't wait to return!

Palatable wine, but taste is very bland. Service was just so so. Too bad, because it's in the heart of the awesome Funk Zone in SB. I'm in need of handicap parking, which they have, but I was asked to move my car because it was "private property." I'd arrived early and wanted to hit a couple shops before I met up with a dear friend to wine taste. I should have taken the time to explain that but the women who shooed me off was just so catty and her rude tone when asking me to move my car (my disabled parking pass hung visibly) was just too much. I won't return, as there are so many other great wineries to choose from with better ambiance and nicer more welcoming staff. Boo Pali Wine Co, you suck.

This is a great wine tasting room in the Funk Zone. The patio is really cute, and the indoor is tastefully decorated. Our server Amelia was very nice, attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. I enjoyed the wines themselves and the overall experience. Actually, so much so that I added them to my menagerie of wine memberships (I gotta have enough of them to satisfy my desired weekly tasting amount hahaha). I went through two of their tasting options in order to get a wide idea of what they offer. Flight 1: Keep it classy tasting - Chenin Blanc was enjoyable and light. Would be good for sitting in the sun or bringing to the beach. - Tower 15 2021 Viognier was delicious and I added it to my wine order. Great rendition of this type of white (though is rare I find a Viognier that I don't enjoy). - Chapel Chardonnay is very heavy and buttery with that oak barrel flavor. Usually I do not like this style Chardonnay, as I prefer steel barrel and crisp, yet I bought 2 bottles of this one and would recommend it even to people who don't like Chardonnay. - PCH Rose would be great in warm weather or with a light appetizer. I enjoyed this one more than the Play Ball Rose listed in flight 2. - Pali Vineyard Pinot Reserve is pretty yummy and relatively light for a Pinot. If the Pinot of tried from this region I enjoyed this one. I do find Cali pinot tends to be much lighter than a southern Oregon Pinot, my favorite region for Pinot. - Neighborhood Jetty Red Blend was okay, not my personal favorite, though I wouldn't turn a glass away. In my terms 'okay' is a step below 'like' - Merlot being another wine I usually don't really enjoy, this one was fantastic. I've been back multiple times just for a glass of this Merlot. It's only the second one I've found in this region that I've truly thought was amazing (excluding Merlot blends). Flight 2: Natural tasting - Natty Chardonnay is my usual style that I prefer with that crisp steel taste and very little buttery flavor. Would totally love this with fish, fruit, or just sitting out on a boat. - Neighborhood 2022 Harvest Moon White Blend was enjoyable with a sharp, acidic, and crisp taste to it. Light bodied but delicious with flavors that were long lasting. - Play Ball Rose was not my favorite for a Rose. It was refreshing and would likely be enjoyed by folks who really seek out that Rose taste. I've only recently found one I would pay for a glass of so my view of Rose is pretty picky. - 2022 Orange Wine Dawn I really loved. Would be a good one to match with fish, Seafood, fruit or cheese. Would also be good as a day drinking or brunch wine. This is one I'd bring to a party or recommend to someone who isn't as familiar with wine varieties. - Natty Pinot I found this one to be very light with no body or depth to its flavors. Personally I like very bold, dark, and heavy Pinot, so that is a personal preference. - Neighborhood 2021 Full Moon definitely enjoyed this one with its dark and deep flavor. A much heavier red than some of their others and a variety of flavors layered in it.

My second ever wine tasting experience was at Pali Wine Co. and it was delightful! The server was very knowledgeable and had a great memory (she remembered 3 custom flights without a notepad, which is always a risk!) I knew I wanted whites and roses, so we built our own flight with a mix and you get a wine glass that you pour the flight pours into. So, if you're not feeling a certain wine, you could also get a pour bucket so you can move on if you wish. There are no non-alcoholic beverages (for our DD), but the server was very nice and built a little drink for that friend with seltzer and a little juice. We also asked about the food, but it seemed not quite worth it for the price. Overall, we had a great experience and felt really comfortable- happy to return!

This place is super cute! It's is a great place to grab a refreshing glass of wine on a sun day in Santa Bárbara! They have frose, both flavors are great! The staff is nice. They have a nice selection of wine. They also sometimes have live music on weekends. Over it is a great place to hangout with friends. It is a bit pricey but a good time :)

Vibes here are immaculate. Perfect for an early evening glass of wine before dinner, which is exactly what we did. Good music playing but not too loud. I love places like this where you can actually have a conversation without music blaring in your ears. This place is beautifully decorated and great atmosphere in the outdoor seating area. All wine seems to be made by in-house Pali. We each ordered a glass of rosé which came perfectly chilled and delicious. Service was a little slow, which is why it loses one star, but very friendly. We didn't get any appetizers/snacks but it seemed to be a great selection. Would definitely come back with my beautiful lady for another glass, or two, and hopefully soon.

This place has such a great vibe. I love their frozay!! I've also had their seasonal flight before, which was also great. It's perfect for the summer and to enjoy on a nice day in SB. We had a cool person who attended to us and he was really welcoming. I overall love this place, a cute place to drink wine and enjoy the company around you.

Had a wonderful time sitting outside in the wine garden enjoying a wine flight. The wine was good and ambiance was lovely. The prices per bottle were a little overpriced because I wasn't crazy for any of them (I ended up buying some bottles from other wine bars and tasting rooms in the area) but it was still an enjoyable experience. The girl who helped us was a little ditsy but sweet, I specifically told her I don't really like white wine and asked her to bring me 5 of her favorite reds and she brought me a flight with 2/5 whites. I didn't say anything to her about it because I didn't want to make her feel bad and just tasted the whites but it was a little annoying. The branding is very cute and definitely targets a millennial audience. I bought a branded wine glass because it was too cute not to (it makes me happy every time I drink from it).

Yeah, don't come here. A group of my friends and I came here yesterday whilst in Santa Barbara and were going to order a few bottles of wine because they have a wine Wednesday special. When we asked the server he told us that they don't offer that promotion. But then why would it be on the menu? Seems fishy.

I came here on Sunday afternoon with four friends of mine. We were looking around for a wine bar with a lovely sunny patio. Luckily, we found Pali Wine Co! There was a lovely duo playing music when we walked up and this beautiful man named Colton greeted us. Wow. Talk about a great smile. Thank you Colton for a lovely Sunday afternoon experience and Pali Wine Co for yummy natural wines! My favorite is the orange wine.

This is a lovely, fun place with great wine. We got one of the samplers and I loved all of them. The music was super fun and the patio is beautiful. Highly recommend and will be coming back!

Great wine and great service! Taylor took care of my wife and I celebrating our 12 year wedding anniversary :) We snacked on some olives and popcorn while having a great experience. Excited to come back and would definitely recommend!

This place rocks! They have the most knowledgeable and friendly staff in the funk zone and the most beautiful patio where you can kick back and listen to great live music on Friday and Sunday. Fun little snacks that are definitely reasonably priced relative to other tasting rooms in the area that offer snacks. Great vibes and tasty wine. Live laugh love Pali!

Came here with a girlfriend for drinks before dinner. What a cool vibe. We both ordered flights and loved them. They hand wrote our wine flight. How cute! It's a pretty place filled with lights and cool decor. Highly recommend!

So lovely, so ambient. The wine flights are a real treat and the pretty lighting and tables adorned with wildflowers make this place extra special.

Totally disappointed by their service, I was super excited to celebrate my best friend's bachelorette weekend and we called ahead and they told me they where available to seat my group of 8 if I'm ok waiting for an hour. Upon arrival they said they couldn't seat me that they where all booked and they can't seat me at all that day. I made sure that I called the right place and I was lied to and said that I didn't call the right place. After calling again I was told that it was the oki wine garden and they now they couldn't seat me. Unfortunately super disappointing how I was turned down despite they having multiple tables open. Do not recommend.

Been coming to Pali for years at the original location and just tried out the new digs today. Not only is the space beautiful but the live music and upgraded service takes it to a whole new level. Was served by Matti who made nonstop perfect recommendations the whole time. Can't wait to come back!

We had a great time at Pali Wine Co. Wine Garden! The wine was delicious, the ambiance was great and Freddie was so friendly and knowledgeable! We are currently on our highway 1 honeymoon, and we're so glad we stopped here!

Had a group of 7 and were turned away. They said they were only accepting parties of 4 or less. Seriously! Went down the street to Area 5.1 and they welcomed us even though there was only a 4-top table which they gladly squeezed 3 more chairs into. Super nice and accommodating which this place obviously isn't.

The staff here are super friendly, and give great recommendations on wine. I was educated on the differences between grapes, where certain wines were grown, and what I might like. I ended up picking up a bottle of nice white wine that I would have never considered before. I highly recommend checking this place out if you make the trip to Santa Barbara. It is in the funk zone where there are other wineries and breweries.

Got the 6 pour variety flight and all wines were delicious. The music was great, really pretty seating area outside and relaxing vibes. Our server, Izzy, was super nice and attentive. Perfect date night vibes or to grab some delicious wine with friends.

The only place I've ever seen to charge an "on-site" fee when you order a bottle and want to enjoy it there. It's like a corkage fee, but it doesn't make any sense since you're on their property and drinking their own wine. No where else in the Funk Zone does this. I'm an SB local and was excited when this opened, but when we saw the menu and the "on-site" fee, we walked out.

Pali makes stellar natural wines that taste even more delicious on their beautiful outdoor patio. This is the best spot in the Funk Zone for a glass of wine in a cool and casual setting. And if natural wine isn't your thing, Pali is known for their single -vineyard Pinots grown on remarkable local vineyards.
