Good luck to those who get their food! 1.5 hours later and 2 cold (not intentionally cold) appetizers later and still no entrees. Everyone around us in the same boat. A lot to be desired. Only restaurant option open and a lot of infrastructure improvements needed. Great ambiance but poor execution. Good luck to all!

So far I've only eaten here during Sunday brunch, but it is always phenomenal! Every time I'm visiting Dominica, I plan to attend brunch here with family. We absolutely love it! The combination of local foods as well as other international dishes really makes it a treat. Kudos to the chef and kitchen team! The staff are always so friendly and helpful. I hope to visit during other meal service in the future, but brunch is so worth it!

Liked to eat here every day. Good menu. Sunday brunch is popular among locals with BBQ chicken, fresh fish and salad, and freshly baked pastry. Fish cakes were good as an appetizer. The breakfast buffet is plentiful with a wide array of food, including bacon, sausage, scrabled eggs, fruit, yogurt, granola, etc. Full bar and wine menu. Fast service.

The location of Fort Young Hotel and the visual ambience of the Palisades is wonderful. However, the service experienced at dinner was quite lackluster. The waitresses constantly forgot about us, they were not attentive, and they operated with tunnel vision - focusing on singular tasks, rather than providing quality service. We waited a long time to receive water and the tables were not cleared in an appropriate manner (the waitress removed one person’s plate, left the other two plates on the table without asking a question and disappeared forgetting to return). At the end of the night, the waitress then proceeded to take an inordinate amount of time to bring the bill. I think the most concerning part of the night was when an elderly person (60 years old and birthday celebrant) in my dinner party was asked bluntly whether she has hypertension as a segue into explaining that the smoked fish fritters were quite salty for one to order. This was a highly inappropriate question to ask and is borderline discriminatory and ageist. The waitress could have simply provided information on the various dishes without the aforementioned question. What is even more concerning is that our table was not asked the more appropriate and standard question of whether anyone had allergies; and two persons in my party suffer from very severe shellfish allergy. No low ambient music or entertainment was given to patrons on the night I had dinner, even though there were speakers on the wall. Perhaps the speakers were not working, or maybe the staff forgot to turn them on. I am not in a position to make a definitive statement on why such was absent. I last visited Fort Young in November 2022, and the experience was also sub-par at best. 26 months later and the dinning experience has not improved, neither have the service and the quality of food. On the positive note, the drinks were mixed to perfection. We had pina coladas and whiskey sours and they were absolutely amazing. The bartender is definitely skilled and experienced.

The menu is expensive, but you're paying for the experience, and treating yourself. It was superb. Would do again. Did the dinner menu when visiting. Staff etiquette was impeccable.

Very Bad for dîner AT 9pm Hello.. I am really disappointed with our experience at the Palissade restaurant tonight at Fort Young.. we had a reservation at 7pm but we were not hungry we were staying in room 203...so we postponed it to 9pm.. we arrived there was no more choice in the food on the Italian formula offered at $45 per person drinks not included. my wife and I were forced to eat rice and I had the last leftover pasta because no more lasagna... we ended up eating only salad. And we were able to bring some desserts to our room... We were at the table with a 16 month old baby and the team was rushing us as soon as we arrived so that we could already return our plates because they were already preparing the breakfast table for the next day around us. I asked to speak to the manager but she had gone to an interview..I asked for a better rate however only 10% was granted to me. I paid 88 US dollars like those who had eaten well and enjoyed this experience for a couple 90 US dollars. For us it was frustrating because we felt that we were eating leftovers before closing. In fact the discount corresponds to the non-alcoholic Virgin ordered by my wife. However the palissade team is really very nice they always heated the baby's meal for 2 days. It's a shame that the restaurant does not recognize giving us leftovers and no more choice in the menu at the end of the evening when there is no more choice and we have to pay like the others. It was our wedding anniversary and the dinner remains a big failure for very expensive. Lovely ambience. The staff were pleasant and friendly. Quick service , they took the orders right away. The food was well seasoned and tasty. Will visit again

The outside sitting and view of the Mountains is breathtaking. The food is great as well.
