This hotel was absolutely gorgeous! The gardens were an amazing relaxing place to have a coffee, the rooms were small but beautiful as well. The bathroom was stunning, with a great bathtub. It included room service and turn down service. The staff was friendly, the breakfast buffet was good. Being on a smaller island was not as convenient as being on the main island but the bonus is the food and drink on that island was better priced than elsewhere and none of the places we ate within walking distance overcharged the service fee. There's a shuttle offered by the hotel to get to the main island which runs every thirty minutes. The mild inconvenience of having the Grand Canal in between and the more famous sites is offset by the view and this luxurious location.

The Bauer Palladio is a wonderful oasis in the beautiful but busy city of Venice. We have stayed here 3 times now each time for 5 nights or more. It’s discreet, the staff are welcoming but also professional and the rooms are beautiful. Breakfast is plentiful and fresh. The garden is the jewel in the crown of this hotel - it is beautiful. In warm weather you can dine in the garden or just chill on the loungers before going over to Venice when the crowds have left. Giudecca is a quiet peaceful island with its own choice of eateries. Visit Venice, stay a while at the Bauer Palladio, relax and discover all the amazing hidden gems the city has to offer - yes there is an amazing square, yes there are gondolas but there is so much more to see.

Our second time staying at this INCREDIBLE property. This trip we had an AMAZING villa in the garden section with our own private patio. Tranquil, quiet and relaxing...this property is a botanical heaven and is like having Versailles in the middle of Venice!! This is a beautiful hotel whose sister property is across the canal with free private boat shuttle back and fourth throughout the day and evening which drops you very close to Piazza San Marco. A SPA treatment with Angela and Roberta is a MUST!!! 14 year veterans who are incredible and have become good friends!! If you are going to Venice this stay is a must or at the very least an appointment at the SPA!!

Is the most beautiful, peaceful and welcoming hotel in Venice ! The staff is super friendly! The room is really big and have nice energy The property have the most beautiful garden and amazing view of Venice The experience can be better because they have a complementary Boat that bring you every half and hour to San Marcos ! So is like being in the center but in a really peaceful place !

Pretty nice hotel. The monestary gardens were beautiful, full of grapes, tomatoes peppers, peaches, all served at the breakfast buffet. The taxi service to the main island was convenient. The gym was well equipped and had free water and towels.

The hotel is beautiful. The rooms are nice. The bathrooms are nicer. No pool and no spa unless you have an appointment. I think that is a mistake. The restaurant and room service options are over priced compared to local comparable dishes and their wifi was inadequate and needs to be updated. No ice anywhere. A few well planned changes could make this hotel #1.

It's not 5 stars hotel. Maximum 2 stars. Terrible. Everything is old and worn. I could not enter my room because of old lock with corny chip card. Breakfast has to start at 7 am but at this time they just started to prepare. Impolite room service stuff. There was not free of charge water in the room. Keep in mind it is 5 stars hotel.

Spent our honeymoon there had a wonderful time my wife throughly enjoyed her Spa day made ample use of the complimentary boat to San Marco. Only complaint the so called City Tourists tax which is €5 per night per person & was only informed of this fact upon departure which then left us out of pocket for the journey home rather sad to leave on that note.

Yelp
Worst hotel in Italy! I can not believe they call themselves a "5 star" hotel in Italy. My reasons for the low rating.. - misdirecting staff, if you want to get around easily you better know Italian. - it is very old school. - no fans in the bathroom so you can expect it to get smelly. - if you like nothing but pastries, bread, cheese, & pasta this is the place for you. - to use the gym & jacuzzi you would have to take a boat across the island, which is just absurd. - the restaraunt was probably the worst I've been to on Italy. They even play the same 4 songs over & over again. - last but not least as you already know, the euro is about double the American dollar so prepare to pay insane amounts of money. They will charge you for as much possible. To use the Internet per hour & to watch television. You need to know your boat stops to because they will not wait for you to get on for more then 15 seconds. The people who sell you tickets & are suppose to help you get around aren't very generous either. I was so lost with all the wrong directions given by locals I was about to run out of time to get to my train, so I went back to the hotel & asked the receptionist how I can make it and she called a taxi that was going to run 70 euros per person. I just looked at her in shock & she smiled and said "yes, it's very expensive". You would think of Italy as a relaxing place for a vacation after looking at pictures & trying the Italian food in America. It's not like that. The American Italian food is way better then Italian Italian food. The pictures portray Italy as a beautiful place & when I came to Venice it was trashed. I can not believe how this generation treats their history. Nothing but graffiti and dog poop on the walking paths. The water is not turquoise or pretty. It's got trash in it & is very smelly. It's a nasty green color. If you want to see the coliseum, Michaelangelo's work, & 16th chapel then check it out online. It's way better then it is in person just as it is to watch sport games on the television. The last trip I took in Europe was France. & that was miserable too. The French hate Americans. I get the same feel for this place. I will never return to Europe again. If you choose to stay I wish you the best of luck & hopefully your experience won't be as bad as mine.
