Palm Grove

My partner and I stayed at Palm Grove for 4 nights and had the most amazing experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel so welcome — everyone was kind, hospitable, and truly went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. A special shoutout to Mama T, who was absolutely wonderful! The food was beautiful — especially the breakfast every morning, which included fresh fruit, delicious banana and lemon bread, and more. Happy hour was a real highlight too — my partner especially enjoyed it, as the staff kept happily refilling his glass! 😄 We stayed in one of the Garden Studios, which was peaceful and quiet, and just a short walk across the road to the beach. We also loved that kayaks and snorkelling gear were available to use — such a great bonus. We were even welcomed by a friendly cat who hung around near us throughout our stay, which made it feel even more like home. If you're looking for a quiet, relaxing spot in Rarotonga with lovely people, great food, and a laid-back vibe, I’d absolutely recommend Palm Grove. Can’t wait to come back!

What amazing friendly place, kiti and mama tum are so welcoming, as well as all the staff at palm grove and yellow hibiscus restaurant, felt like family by the time we had to leave. Not that we wanted to leave. Accommodation fantastic, staff truly amazing, views to die for. Can't wait to return to their loving embrace 💕

Such a great experience had there over ten days, the people we met are exquisite and made us feel right at home. The only thing is if you run hot, the room requires the key tag to be in to run the air con. Top tip is to run the ceiling fan while you're out to try and help with the heat in your room

We spent a wonderful 2 weeks at Palm Grove. We stayed in a garden bungalow and it was great, we really enjoyed the patio space. The pool area is absolutely beautiful and the grounds are beautifully maintained. The beach is gorgeous and safe for swimming. You can borrow snorkel gear and kayaks. We rented our moped here and that was super convenient. The wifi is not included but it’s super inexpensive and they have great promos at the front desk (you can use the code at hot spots around the island too). The breakfast was great: lots of fresh fruit, yogurt with cereal, and the scones and banana bread were delicious. You can pay to upgrade to a hot breakfast if you’d like, but we found the continental breakfast perfect so we never did. We also attended the Sunday night BBQ twice and it was fantastic: delicious meat options, tons of salads, dessert, live music and a great atmosphere. The location is perfect. Wigmores Supermarket is only a short walk away, has everything you need, and is open 24 hours. Other beautiful beaches are close by as are plenty of food options. Big thank you to Mama Tum and Kitty for taking such good care of us. We had a wonderful time and would be delighted to come back someday. Thank you!

What a fantastic place to stay. Lovely poolside villas, great onsite restaurant/bar that has amazing staff. Meals are lovely and twice a week music accompanies you eating or just having a drink. Spent a great 3 nights at Palm Grove. The location is perfect if you hire a car as the buses are slow and run on island time. We found all the staff great and very welcoming. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The breakfast included is a bit deceiving, the continental breakfast is free, different types of breads, condiments, cereals and fresh fruit and yogurt but the cooked breakfast is extra. Wifi is not included.

I finally had the pleasure of staying at Palm Grove Resort after many years of recommending it to clients. The experience did not disappoint as all my expectations were met. We stayed in the three bedroom beach villa. The kitchen was well equipped with everything that you need to take care of your own meals and there was ample space for the 6 of us. ||The kids (5 and 3) enjoyed the beach, and we all agreed it was the best beach on the whole island. There were many hours also spent in the small pool set back in the garden on the other side of the road. ||One thing that struck me in talking to other guests is this is a place that guests return to year on year. One guest commenting "it feels like coming home." ||It's important to set realistic expectations. Yes, there is paint chipping and yes, the furniture is a little dated however the resort is scheduled for a renovation at the end of 2025 so it will be nice to see it freshened up. Look past the paint chips and you will find a comfortable, clean and affordable place to enjoy the sun and sand.

I would just like to say we had a great stay at palma Grove. We stayed in a pod that was just right for us .clean . Shower a little small but didn't bother us .the food we had was lovely and not to mention the staff thumbs up to iris for making us welcome. Would definitely come again. Jon and annette
