Palm Hotel & Spa (Reunion, ) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"If neither Mauritius nor the Seychelles can satisfy your need for a luxury escape, don't worry: La Réunion is another remote Indian Ocean paradise, a lush volcanic island that rivals the finest getaways. But probably more importantly, it remains immune to crowds; even on its most densely populated north and west coasts, the atmosphere is still enlivened by locals and their Creole culture, not T-shirt vendors. Jump from one volcano to the next (preferably still asleep) to the south coast where you will find Palm Hotel & Spa Réunion; a world of its own bordering the bay of Grande Anse, its white sandy beach and crystal clear waters." - Tablet Hotels

We had an excellent stay at The Palm Hotel and can only say positive things about our experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming, professional, and attentive, always making sure we felt comfortable and well taken care of. The location is perfect—peaceful, beautiful, and ideal for relaxing while still feeling connected to the island. The food was outstanding, with high-quality ingredients, great variety, and consistently excellent service in the restaurants. What really sets The Palm Hotel apart is the overall atmosphere. It truly gives you the feeling of being on a special vacation: calm, elegant, and perfectly organized. Everything runs smoothly, and the attention to detail makes a real difference. We would absolutely recommend The Palm Hotel to anyone looking for a high-quality stay and a genuine, relaxing vacation experience.

I really like this hotel! 😎 It’s small, tucked away, and quiet, yet beautifully located on a hill above Grande Anse beach. There’s no direct beach access, but there are two great pools (one partly heated) with stunning views. The rooms are very nice and pretty much up to modern standards. The staff are super friendly and attentive, the food is delicious, and the prices are fair. The only downside: too many birds at the breakfast buffet… not so appetizing. 🙈 We’ll definitely be back!

Overall, the hotel is nice. The rooms are decent, the pool area is nice and also the other amenities like the gym is basic but very functional. Absolutely outstanding is the view over the beach and the sea, amazing sunset views and the area of the hotel is really a prime spot, as it is also very quiet and calm.||Still, I cannot shake the feeling that the hotel is not truly a luxury hotel, despite having one of the highest rates on the island:|- At breakfast, they serve instant coffee, which is not acceptable in a midscale hotel, not even to mention in a ‚luxury‘ hotel. This is cost-cutting at its worst.|- Drinks are very expensive, which is ok. However, to then serve Aperol Spritz with Prosecco that apparently has been open for too long and was completely flat is borderline.|- Beach towels are not replaced pro-actively, but we were told we need to bring them to the concierge to have them changed. If they are not in the room, you are threatened with a penalty of 40 Euro per towel. Honestly, in such a hotel I really don‘t want to care about basics like beach towels.||So overall, the hotel is nice, but don‘t expect a real luxury experience.

I’d say the cliff side location + views are 5-star, and the food at Kah was good, but several things were pretty awful that detracted from our experience. I’m sharing them both for prospective guests but also so that management can take note and improve: - There were noises in the room from the refrigerator, the water dispenser (which also emitted light), and possibly other things. Guests shouldn’t have to unplug appliances to get a good sleep. - The gym is dismal, and when I inquired about a foam roller the very first day of our 5-day stay, someone said they would check and then never followed up with me. Given that this hotel/island attracts a lot of hikers, that seems like a pretty essential item they could grab at Decathlon for €10. I also noticed loose screws on their main technogym apparatus. - The kids area is equally underwhelming. - The fan in my room wasn’t working, something I flagged the very first minute we entered the room, and no one ever fixed it. - The outdoor jacuzzi with incredible views is tepid. Not pleasant at all. When I mentioned this, someone said it might be a sustainability issue, which makes no sense. Either have a jacuzzi you keep properly hot during peak times of the day or don’t have one. - I instead went to try their steam room and the handle came completely off the door. Shockingly shabby. - If you leave any food at breakfast while grabbing something else from the buffet, birds swarm your plate and peck at your meal. - The laundry prices are extortionate.

Very nice hotel, with 2 pools and jacuzzi. |The food was delicious, rooms very clean and comfortable. Great ocean views. We had a rented car and made some excursions on the island, so this was a perfect place for relaxing after a day out and about.

Beautiful resort on a hill close to the beach. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. Food and drinks are from a very good standard. Lovely pools and relaxing areas. ||The pathway down to the beach is in a terrible state and overgrown. It needs to be attended and maintained.

It was one of my best hotel experience ever! Everything is amazing about this hotel: silent place, perfect service (they even change my mattress with a harder one upon my request!), great heated pool (made of black rock, with lights in the evening, just amazing!), fantastic view on the ocean (if you are lucky you can even observe the whales while enjoying your punch!). Amazing breakfast, plenty of choice, fresh fruits. Really, I do not have time and space to give a full list of things that are really great about this hotel, and the owner and the management fully deserve congratulations. One sole remark, still: when you are charging 300 eur for one night, I do not think you should charge 10 eur for a bucket of ice cubes...

Great place! Stayed with family for 6 nights. Restaurant was very good. Our room was great and very good breakfast. The real asset is the staff! Very friendly and attentive. Location is OK and the hotel gardens are very nice and very well kept. Highly recommended!
