PALM Hotel

Palm Sri Lanka is simply divine. It’s one of those rare places that manages to be truly child-friendly without falling into the usual traps of tacky waterslides, noisy entertainment, or mediocre food.||The setting is stunning — lush, scenic, and incredibly calming, with beautiful views in every direction. The design feels thoughtful and understated, allowing both adults and children to relax in their own way. Kids are clearly welcome, yet the atmosphere remains refined and peaceful, which is far from obvious to achieve.||Food is excellent (a big plus when traveling with children), and everything feels well balanced: comfort without compromise, elegance without stiffness.||Honestly, Palm Sri Lanka could be a blueprint for resorts worldwide. We need more places like this — where families don’t have to choose between quality and kid-friendliness.||Highly recommended. We would return without hesitation.

We had a fantastic experience at PALM Hotel Ahangama. The hotel has a beautiful, relaxing vibe with a perfect blend of comfort and style. The atmosphere is calm and refreshing, making it an ideal place to unwind and enjoy the coastal surroundings. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the service was excellent throughout our stay. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always attentive to our needs, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Ahangama looking for a peaceful stay, great hospitality, and a memorable experience!

Palm hotel has been a gorgeous refuge for me and my kids over the season providing a happy calm space for us all to relax and unwind in. The kids can enjoy the playground, ample open spaces and of course the pool. It’s perfectly set to keep an eye on them whilst still enjoying a drink or bite to eat. I held my son’s birthday party there and parents and kids loved it. The team are great and super helpful when it comes to tear away toddlers. It’s a great spot for all ages whether it’s a special occasion or an afternoon out.

The nicest hotel in the South - absolutely amazing food with a chill ambience, perfectly capturing the vibe of Ahangama. We've stayed there a few times and every time has been truly memorable. We had access to the pool, the staff was very friendly and nice. Excellent services - highly recommend this place to anybody who's looking to stay for a few days, or just to enjoy a day trip.

We were day guests at Palm Hotel. It’s an amazing place with a very good restaurant, a small shop, a pool, gym and so much more. We traveled to Ahangama and stayed here a few days as days guests. Don’t know if 5 stars does it for me. I need more stars. The service, the food, the toilets (clean!!!) and the staff. Outstanding! We are a young family of 4 and it’s not always easy to find a place with where they understand being a family place. More places claim this position but it’s not true. At PALM they understand how it works. Proper pool, safety around, play ground, child seats, kids menu, ice, etcetera. Thank you! The food on the menu is curated very well. Not to many option but enough to be treated very well. The toilets are clean and this is rare in Sri Lanka. I never witnessed so many dirty bathrooms. Also a small shop with nice merchandise and other items. I highly recommend this location. For anyone also as non parents. It’s quiet and safe. Not too expensive. Just enjoy the vibe!

It’s a really nice design-led place with a relaxed vibe, good food, and friendly service. The service is quite casual, but in a good way. I really enjoyed the room, especially the outdoor shower, and the pool area itself is lovely. The downside is the hotel’s approach to day visitors. External guests are clearly encouraged, and it often felt like there were more day visitors than actual hotel guests. I understand opening the restaurant to non-residents, but opening the pool to outside visitors as well, and actively promoting it, doesn’t sit right. As a hotel guest, you’re paying for the amenities, yet the pool area is crowded for most of the day, with hardly any space to relax. A good solution would be a second, more secluded pool in the garden, reserved for hotel guests only. Because of this, I wouldn’t come back.

We stayed at Palm for just one night. The town of Ahangama is pretty frenetic and busy, especially along the beachfront. Palm’s location was perfect- peaceful and tranquil amongst the greenery, and an easy ~10 minute tuk tuk into the beach. The gym is a great addition too - we did a great class with Ele. Service was a little aloof. We stayed in a suite which has an amazing bathroom you can open up the shutters to begin essentially indoor outdoor.

One of my favourite places to spend a chilled off day. A tranquil space with a beautiful pool, delicious food and lovely staff :) reccomend to anyone coming to Sri Lanka who are looking for a little oasis away from the hustle and bustle of town, also my favourite espresso martini in the south ;)
