"Tropical Plants The impressive Palmhuset greenhouse in the middle of Trädgårdsföreningen park hosts a large number of tropical plants and butterflies. It was built in 1878 with the famous Crystal Palace in London as its inspiration. It's named after the middle area of the building, where palm trees (the tallest one is 14 meters!) and ferns grow."

Beautiful and free place - so many awesome plants and wildlife to see! The greenhouse (as well as the park itself) is completly free. When I entered parts of it were renovated but there was still so many things to discover. The paths in the greenhouse are very small and pretty easily crowded, but since i could take all the time i want that didnt bother me. All plants have a latin name with a sign. The park also has restaurants and cafes. I couldnt find a toilet.

So happy we made it here. The park was a little uninspiring but the glass house was absolutely stunning and the Christmas decorations was simple but gorgeous. The rooms are set up to different temperature to cater for the plants. There's a section where you can write Christmas memories or greetings I would say this is must if in Gothenburg if you like plants.

The beautiful Palm house showcasing exotic plants and trees from all over the world is just in the middle of the city centre in a small park that is free to visit. We visited on a cold day in February this year. There are many rooms to explore and various places to sit. There is a beautiful balcony with an impressive view over the palms. There are tables and chairs available for you to enjoy your own food and drinks, and relax while admiring the beautiful plants. The atmosphere at the Palm house is very tranquil.

Lovely greenhouse showcasing plants and trees from all over the world! There are multiple rooms to explore and various places to sit and rest. It is definitely fairly warm inside, so be prepared to take off any heavy clothing after entering.

The Palm House is located inside the Trädgårdsföreningen and has free entrance. It's currently under renovation but still worth a visit. There are usually many painters in the area, adding to its charm. The Palm House features even Middle Eastern plants and Dagliagården. The balcony has seating where you can relax and enjoy the warmth during the last days of summer. The garden is also a great escape from the hectic rush of trams in the city. You can feel the change in weather as you enter the Palm House.

I've been to a few greenhouses in Europe and this one didn't stand out. I wouldn't visit it as a tourist, only if you have a lot of time and need to fill it. It's quite small, all explanations are only in Swedish and due to the construction 2/5 of the rooms were not accessible. On the other hand, the need for renovation is obvious, many metal parts are rusty and the paint is peeling. It's not as humid and hot as usual. I liked the terrace with seating. You're allowed to sit and eat here (self brought food and beverages). Entry is for free.

Very nice public garden with no entrance fee. It is very convenient with many seating areas even within the glass house. There was even free wifi inside. There are many plant types that you can see and you can relax in the exterior gardens as well while contemplating the beautiful plants.
