Thank you, we had a wonderful time at the Palm Pavilion Inn and can’t wait to return. This was my first time visiting. Dee and Tammy at the front desk were the best hosts. We were on the 3rd floor (stairs on the inside is a plus) and nice bed/room, and has a mini-fridge in the room. Park your car with the nice Kentucky parking attendant and walk all over. Make sure you stop at The Palm for drinks and music on the beach. Amazing visit with friends for their 35th wedding anniversary.

I’ve now been here 10+ times over the last 15 years, and every stay has been wonderful. Clean and neat. |Best location away from the craziness down the road. |Less than 50 yards away from the beach and the PP bar and grille. |Walking distance to many venues. See you in October

Please be aware that as a paying guest at the Palm Pavilion Inn, you are not allowed to sit on the beach area in front of this facility unless you rent their umbrella and chairs. ||During our stay, we were sitting on the shoreline in front of this facility in the morning and within 10 minutes an attendant with Palm Pavilion beach rentals told us we had to move so he could set up the rentals but we can stay if we rent their chairs. I said this is a public beach and we are guests at the Palm pavilion but he informed us that this area belongs to the Palm Pavilion for rentals. Prior to this altercation, there were NO signs posted or roped off areas to indicate this policy. To avoid a bad situation, we went to the office to find out about this policy since we were not told about it. The office staff confirmed that the beach area is designated for their rentals and nothing can be done about it. At this point, our beach vacation was a disaster so we checked out immediately and will never return! I understand the convenience of beach rentals but it should be an option not mandatory for your guests to use your beach area!

I hesitate to write this review as I don’t want others to find this hidden gem. We have stayed several times and would never stay anywhere else. Location is amazing right on the beach and next to a great beach bar with music every day. Your car is parked right as you go out so you can pick up your chairs, umbrellas, etc. The staff is very friendly and the place is immaculate. The pool is hidden in the back in a quiet area. Please don’t discover this place and leave it for those who return regularly.

My favorite hotel on Clearwater Beach 🏖️ Been coming here since the 90’s. Great staff, clean rooms with Palm Pavilion restaurant right behind it. Pool on the property as well. Just steps from Beautiful Clearwater Beach & it’s Awesome Sunsets 🌅

Highly recommend! Extremely clean and the absolute perfect location. Free parking right next to the hotel, and less than a minute walk to the beach! Housekeeping went above and beyond to ensure comfort and cleanliness. We didn’t have to use our car much as everything was walking distance. The Grille is also amazing! Staff was so friendly and offered recommendations and tips since this was our first time in Clearwater. We will definitely be back!

Clean, quaint, friendly, great location. The Palm Pavilion is not a big fancy hotel. It is a small hotel that feels like family. Super friendly and super clean. The 1-bed 1- bath apartment had all the amenities we needed including kitchen and utensils, comfy bed, and plenty of space. The location is the BEST! Right on the beach, and also the Palm Pavilion Bar and Grill is right there and it’s great too!

Yelp
I've been here a few times and have always been happy with the service. The location is right on the beach and they usually have live music on the patio. I've never had the food here but will give it a try one day. I can vouch for the frozen Rum Runner - very good!

Indhira A.

Yelp
Friendly staff, a lot of variety on their menu, good prices I got the Big basket of fried shrimps, came with too sides: coleslaw and French fries also took longer for me To decide what to eat that for them To serve the food. We did have beers and their piña colada's are to die for.

Melissa V.

Yelp
We recently came home from a week long stay at the Palm Pavilion Inn in Clearwater Beach. We had originally booked at one of the fancy resorts on the beach, but after reviewing all the extra fees that the resort charged ($455. extra for parking and resort fees!!!!) we decided to look at some other options. We found the Palm Pavilion online and it had great reviews and there wasn't any extra fees for parking etc. so we booked at Palm Pavilion Inn and canceled our previous reservation. We arrived about 3 hours before check in time, but thankfully they had our room ready (this is one of the many things that they try to accommodate you with). Be warned that they don't have an elevator and this is a 3 story hotel. Our room was on the second floor, so other than carrying our suitcases up the first day it was easy to handle. Our room had a king size bed and an beach view (albeit a little blocked by the Palm Pavilion Restaurant next door. The room was tastefully decorated with a bathroom that had a spacious shower stall. Everything in the whole hotel was very clean. They also provided a mini fridge and Bath and Body Works toiletries that they refilled daily. The bed was very comfortable, but the pillows not so much. We were only steps from the beach! Everyone that works here seem to really care about their jobs and were very conscientious about taking care of everyones needs. We also loved having their restaurant right next door whether we wanted to grab a meal, stop for appetizers and drinks or just grab a drink. I would definitely stay here again, we figured we saved about $1,500. switching our hotel. We also loved the location as it's a little more quieter on the North side of the beach and so many amazing restaurants were close by.

Meredith A.

Yelp
FYI this is still a great place! It's clean, with friendly employees and an unbeatable location. I got an ocean view room this time, and it was great being able to see the beach even when I wasn't on it I also enjoyed watching the sunsets from their observation deck every evening.

Amy C.

Yelp
There's no place like this place! Best beach bar. Great view, drinks & food! Don't miss the sunsets.

Suzy Q.

Yelp
I liked this place... I just wished someone wrote the following for people to see, which I think is the whole Purpose of Yelp. It is not relaxing to stay here. There are loud work trucks (does not matter, it is not random, it is consistent and constant): all around the hotel 24/7: bar next door delivery, beach clean, you name it: it's beeping moving and making a loud loud noises akin to construction, all night and all morning. The walls are also so thin: we could hear a cough all night long and all morning long next door. So, location great, bargain, people who work there are so nice... but it's a loud, loud, scene and a half. You will not relax, you will be in a seedy bar late night party, as you tuck under covers, and it will never go away... not later, not in the morning, afternoon or night. Beep beep beeppppp

Yelp
Location, family friendly ,great service live music and incredible food! Not much else to say.

Arianna B.

Yelp
Such a great little place. The larger one bedroom unit was big enough for my family of 6. Receptionist were so sweet. We ate at the Palm Pavilion Grill behind our room. Which had great views of the beach. Love this place. Greatly appreciate how they let us check in earlier.

Jen D.

Yelp
Amazing visit. Great location. Really friendly and helpful staff. Clean and renovated/updated rooms within walking distance to restaurants, shops and the beach!

Princess H.

Yelp
This was my first stay and staycation. It was on Christmas Day. They exceeded my expectations. Some of the Yelp reviews are for the Palm Pavilion Beachside Grill & Bar which is next door to the Palm Pavilion Inn. We booked online. They allow ample time if you need to cancel your reservation. The check-in process was excellent. We had an issue with our cable for the television so they changed our room to another room to resolve the issue. We enjoyed the pool. They also have Bath and Body Works toiletries like soap, shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion. Free coffee in the lobby every morning. Chairs with seats infront of the lobby to sit and enjoy. Free parking. Free WiFi. Right on the beach. Viewing area on the fourth floor was wonderful. Pool towels available in the lobby. We enjoyed it. What it does not have 1) No elevators 2) No workout room but you can run or walk around the neighborhood and 3) No valet service. Return customers receive a 20% discount on future stays. Friendly service. Convenient location. Comfortable chic. I love this place! We will definitely return again.

Mike L.

Yelp
The hotel it's self is a dump not worth the $200 a night $59 is what I'd pay the halls smelled like mildew the carpets look like they haven't been cleaned sinse 1926. Now the restaurant is very good great food we enjoyed that part. Clearwater beach has always been our favorite beach but people need to learn not to throw the garbage into the water and keep the beaches clean.

Greg M.

Yelp
What a great place! In this world of big monster hotel chains, this place is a hidden gem. Right on the sand, gulf right outside the window, and quaint clean rooms at a low price! Make sure to ask for Al, and he will hook you up with best place, at the best price, and super easy! Great service, clean rooms, free wifi. I will be back as soon as possible!

Abby H.

Yelp
Booked a room for 4 days because they had a good price and many good reviews, we had booked quite a few months out and had this trip planned for a while. When we arrived, we were turned away because we were not over 25, not sure what being over 25 has to do with anything. Not once in the website does it state that you must be over 25. They said that the confirmation email sent says must be over 25, BUT you get that email AFTER you pay, which is completely wrong if you ask me. Not once in the confirmation email does it say anything either. If you want 25+, so be it, but be clear about it, we were left stranded at the last minute looking for other places to say. Additionally, it's is in a very loud place so I can't imagine it being relaxing.

Michelle V.

Yelp
This place was perfect for our family of four. We got the apartment which had a queen size bedroom, and a pull out couch. There was a small kitchen with all the amenities, pots, pans, classes, microwave, large refrigerator, stove, and oven. The bed was extremely comfortable. The whole entire unit was exceptionally clean. The bathroom is on a smaller size. The girls in the front office are as sweet as can be. They have pool/beach towels. Just feet away from the sand. Complementary coffee in the lobby each morning. Pool was heated.

Harish V.

Yelp
Laid back and casual overlooking the gulf of Mexico.Sunsets are terrific.Live entertainment with good sea food with Mexican style.chicken, seafood wraps, smoked ribs ,smoothies and drinks. Right next to the the beautiful beach with white sand. Cant forget this place. Take a dip and relax with a drink watching the sunset.

Kelly G.

Yelp
What a great view!!!! We sat on the deck of the Palm Pavilion restaurant that was right near the beach. The sight was amazing especially if you want to see the sunset on the ocean. We only stayed for drinks. They also had fans on the deck to keep you cool. I really enjoyed the view from The Palm Pavilion restaurant.

Tolik P.

Yelp
This hotel is beyond what I expected. Really nice staff and service. I drive a semi truck for work, they made space for me to park it in their lot, without a trailer. Their site says no breakfast, but they have coffee and pastries every morning from 7-10 am. Very convenient location.... beach right in front of the hotel and in the main strip. Nice, comfortable and clean rooms. Pricing is really good, will be back for sure.

Janelle C.

Yelp
This is a great place to stay if you are looking for friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Older hotel but very clean.

Kate M.

Yelp
We stayed here because I wanted to be close to the beach. What a great find! They are literally 20' from a beautiful public beach with umbrellas and chairs that can be rented (that was very important for me). The rooms are clean and updated. The roof terrace is a nice touch for relaxing once it's dark We had a 1 bedroom apartment for mom and dad and a hotel room for the 2 college kids. Perfect. The Palm Pavillion restaurant is just next door. They have live music that you can enjoy from the beach or the rooftop. Breakfast is coffee and pastries only, but there are 2 convenience stores within 1 block that have sandwiches wraps, etc. very convenient.

David H.

Yelp
What a nice break from chain hotels. Location is perfect, restaurant is yummy, sunsets are beautiful, staff is friendly and make you feel welcome and appreciated. A must-stay that you will always remember.

Yelp
Our family of four stayed two nights at the Palm Pavilion Inn a couple of weeks ago. This was our first stay at this hotel but after reading reviews, we had a good idea what to expect. First of all, this hotel is NOT a resort. It's an older, small, budget friendly, 3 story hotel that has been remodeled in a sort of funky, art-deco style and is an easy walk to the beach. Our room was small with two comfortable double beds but well appointed with flat screen tv, mini fridge and excellent wifi. The room is a little tight for four people but would be perfect for two. Coffee in the lobby. Friendly staff. Hotel furnishes beach towels and you can charge the beach chairs to the room. They even had some beach toys for our daughter to borrow. I was told that for more money, the efficiency rooms are larger. We would definitely stay here again but would try out one of the larger rooms. If you're looking to stay at a chain type hotel or resort, this isn't for you. If you're looking for a small, family-owned, well appointed hotel, give Palm Pavilion.

Ryan A.

Yelp
What a great experience. I had eaten at the restaurant many times but never stayed at the hotel. The entire staff was very friendly & accommodating; the room was very clean & comfortable, especially the bed which was amazingly comfortable. The best part is the proximity to the beach and the 4th floor sun deck which was a phenomenal place to watch the sunset into the Gulf & listen to the music coming from the restaurant. Would highly recommend and will definitely stay there again and again.

Carol M.

Yelp
If you are looking for an expensive luxury hotel, don't stay here. If you are looking for a well priced, clean, comfortable, friendly place steps from the beach, then by all means STAY HERE! The outdated lobby and hallways could give the wrong impression, but look beyond that. The rooms have been refurbished. They are clean and comfortable with an awesome mattress! There is a small fridge and a room safe. Every staff member from the front desk to housekeeping to the parking attendant was so nice and helpful. They went out of their way to look up restaurants, print our boarding passes and were just friendly in general. The beach is set up with chairs and umbrellas that can be rented by the hour or day. The Palm Pavilion restaurant has good food and a live band playing at most times. It was a great experience and I plan to stay there whenever we return to Clearwater Beach.

Lisa H.

Yelp
This is probably our 5th or 6th time staying here in the last 3 years. It's always nice, comfortable and affordable. Literally 10 steps from the beach and Palm Pavillion restaurant. Rooms have good AC and front desk always pleasant. Nice room decor reminiscent of art deco. We'll be back again!!

E F.

Yelp
Decent enough, good for families with budget. NOTE NO ELEVATOR. Close to beach and main strip. Clean but everything a bit damp from humidity. Cost wise, a real bargain. For business travelers a bit of a headache: no elevators, no breakfast, no workout room, but it does have WiFi and parking! Restaurant next door good, food unremarkable, great view. Restaurant across parking lot slightly better quality, same view. View of wall next door from room. Not a big deal.

Elizabeth B.

Yelp
Neither fussy nor pretentious, the Palm Pavillion was the perfect place to hang our hats after a day spent at Spring Training (Phillies, of course) and exploring neighboring St. Petersburg and Tampa. The front desk staff was always in attendance and friendly. Sue in housekeeping was most kind and solicitous, leaving extra towels without being asked (yea!). The parking attendants, enmeshed in the cutthroat world of beach parking vs hotel parking, always made sure the paying guests had a spot (special shout out to Kim!). Right next door is the Palm Pavillion Bar and Grille. Live music is featured throughout the day and evening, often just a man and his guitar. Always entertaining without overwhelming and being intrusive. The hotel has a "quiet time" policy, enforcing neighborly respect and courtesy beginning at 10:00 pm. Sure enough, the live music at the bar ended right at 10:00 pm! The bar food itself is standard fare (though I don't see Gator Nibbles on many - okay, any - menus at home). The Bloody Mary with a string bean marinated in jalapeno juice garnish and the Acai Berry Mojito were the libation standouts! The barkeeps - Morgan, Darrin, Nicole, Art and Andrea in particular - were lively and never let a glass run dry! Nothing fancy, but just right!

Brandon M.

Yelp
Drove all day and into the early morning hours to get here. Was greeted with a smile while my wife and I were in zombie mode. We were told couldn't check in until 3pm which is what we expected and was told in confirmation email. We added a little ice to the cooler and changed into swimwear in lobby bathroom and were ready to walk 200ft to the beach. Until we were told we could check in at 8am and our room was ready. Needless to say a weight was lifted off our shoulders and we unloaded the van before heading out on adventures. That's 7hrs early check in. They didn't have to and it wasn't expected but the staff did it. I'm not saying it going to happen every time and to everyone but it meant a lot to my family. A lot of regulars stay here so we were lucky by the sounds of it to get a room book only 3weeks out. I assume someone canceled. The sun literally sets in early April right in front of hotel. Right before sunset people are running past hotel to the beach to get family photos with sunset behind them, while I'm acting like a regular in the pool watching it all go down. So all in all great staff, clean accommodations, pool 25ft from door , ocean 200ft from door, Frenchy's restaurant and palm pavilion bar and grill in the parking lot. Please only tell close friends about this place because I want room next year and every year after.

John R.

Yelp
When I was very little I grew up on Clearwater Beach, living a short distance from this hotel, then known (I think) as the Gulf View Apartments. I would have figured this long-time beach fixture would have been demolished long ago to build some other high-rise hotel or condo, but I'm happy to see it's still there. And it's delightful. The entire hotel has been recently updated, but without losing its charm. The room we had was a bit smaller than rooms in some more modern hotels, but it was very comfortable and attractive. The bed was extremely comfortable, as were the pillows. The view from our 3rd floor window was of the Palm Pavilion restaurant next door, but also the expanse of beach south to the pier. There is an outdoor pool next to the hotel which was very tidy, but unused while we were there (presumably since most guests were on the beach); there is also an observation (and suntanning) deck on the 4th floor, which provides an even better view of the beach. The beach, which is much, much larger than when I was a child, is just a few steps away and remains one of the finest beaches in the country. (There were plenty of rental chairs & umbrellas for those without their own.) The hotel provides towels for use on either the beach or at the pool. Since the hotel is older, there is no elevator, but we were helped with our luggage by the staff member at the front desk. Every employee we encountered was very friendly, and seemed genuinely interested in making our stay a happy one. The Palm Pavilion Beachside Bar & Grill is right next door, so it's extremely convenient, and has some tasty selections. There's a DQ next door, as well. There is a parking lot next to the hotel, as well, and parking is free for hotel guests. Everything considered, this was a great hotel for our 4-day stay on Clearwater Beach; we plan on returning when we can.

Lindsay Z.

Yelp
I have stayed here a few times. I used to live in Dunedin and miss the beach so much! Especially Clearwater! I want to give credit where credit is due, and there were 2 women that worked the desk that really went above and beyond my expectations. I only know the one woman's name, Kat. The other woman worked the overnight shift from 6/25-6/30/15 & regretfully, I didn't catch her name. They were just the friendliest people and made my stay wonderful! The hotel is CLEAN, includes parking and is attached to a restaurant/bar that has great food. The pool is a nice change if you want to get off the beach. However, you are literally steps away from the beach, 2 rental chairs & one umbrella is just $20 for the entire day. I usually spend more time reading reviews rather than writing them but I was compelled to write about how great the hotel was, and how wonderful every staff member was..housekeepers to front desk. I'd give 10 stars if I could!! I will be back. They don't disappoint!

Cat N.

Yelp
Inexpensive and great quality for the cost. Sure it's not a resort but it's a nice little place and they keep everything really clean. I stayed in a queen room which was pretty small but pleasant. AC works well so it's nice and cool inside the rooms. Great location as it's right near the water. Unfortunately tho they don't have an elevator so you will have to haul your luggage up the stairs if you're not on the ground floor. Nice and secure as you have to use card keys for your room and entry doors at night. Free parking!!

Nic J.

Yelp
My wife and I have stayed here on 2 occasions, and have loved it both times. First of all, it's very affordable, especially considering the beach is a stone's throw away. The rooms are extremely clean, and the staff couldn't be friendlier. We'll be staying here again next time we come to clearwater.

C D.

Yelp
The Palm Pavilion Inn is a good little Motel that is literally steps to the beach. It also in walking distance to the shops and restaurants downtown. While the motel itself and the rooms are a little dated, the bathrooms have been recently remodeled and are very clean. For what you pay, this is a great little place.

Sal R.

Yelp
Awesome view, great drinks, and delicious food! I had a grouper sandwich and shared "gator bites" with a few friends. Both were delicious. I had a rum runner which was strong but yummy. The music was loud but decent. The view is absolutely gorgeous! If i could go back, I would stay at a hotel nearby so I can visit this restaurant more often. I had a great time. TIP: many pro baseball players frequent this restaurant/bar from the Gulf Coast League!

Cameron M.

Yelp
Great service at desk. Clean room. Right on the beach. Cool bar and grill fifty feet from the front door.

Natasha B.

Yelp
We've been staying here since the late 90's. It's a Superior Small Lodging. It has history and is an older non chain hotel steps from the sand. Has rooms ranging from standard double, efficiency and even a couple of apartments. No elevator but we always stay on the 3rd floor anyway! Rooms are recently updated with new dark wood decor, fancier bedding, flat screen tv, tile bathroom. Staff super friendly and overall you cannot beat the price for staying on the beach! Even better incentive to keep you coming back is returning guests get 20% off rates! Just steps away from their own bar and grill right on the beach!

Kiki R.

Yelp
I booked the Palm Pavilion after reading hundreds of positive reviews on tripadvisor.com Maybe my expectations were too high, but I'm disappointed. My ocean view king room on the second floor looks at the roof of the bar next door, with a slice of ocean at the corner of the view, over the parking lot. There is mold on the ceiling and my shower just sucks - it sprays water all over the room. I wish I'd made another choice. The free Wifi is good, and the parking set-up has worked well and the beach is definitely lovely.

Thomas M.

Yelp
Boutique Inn with great location. Mere steps from beach. Many restaurants and bars in easy walking distance. Helpful, friendly staff . Only coffee in morning. No elevator. Did not get in their pool. Our room had shower, no tub. Free WiFi. Good TV. You might feel room is dated, but recommend without reservation.

Beth H.

Yelp
I love this place. Have stayed half a dozen times. It is the perfect location at the right price. If you are looking to spend the day at the pool with the kids, this is probably not your best bet. It is perfect for adults who love to hang at the beach and take a quick dip in the pool. Staff and service has always been outstanding.

Dawn S.

Yelp
I stayed there because so close to beach....rooms are over priced and not updated.....front desk service not very friendly....restaurant next door does have good food...service was not bad...

Meena N.

Yelp
Beach side hotel; reasonable, clean and friendly staff. Wonderful experience.

Katie G.

Yelp
This hidden secret is a great place to get away to. Smaller than the average hotels in Clearwater Beach but so accommodating in every way. I saw the reviews about the staff being so welcoming, and I also experienced it for myself. My visit included my talkative 3 year old and 8 year old. The staff was incredibly attentive and welcoming to the both them as well. The hotel overall is very clean, kept up, and offers everything you need during a beach stay. The only thing I would caution other parents like myself traveling with small children is that there are not any elevators. I was aware of this before I reserved our room so I was prepared for that. It turned out that our room would be on the 3rd floor so I literally had to pack light and leave big items like the stroller and beach chairs in the car. The parking is between the hotel and the beach so that wasn't a big deal at all but I planned accordingly for that and therefore wasn't disappointed. In fact, for once I didn't over pack or carry things to the room that we would never use :)

Jenny S.

Yelp
I really enjoy this place. I called last minute and they were able to get me in and so accommodating to our needs! We have kids and they moved us into the apartment homes off to the side of the palm pavilion and loved it! The pool is a bit small, but our 2 year old still really enjoyed it! Best part is it is just steps from the beach without the price of a high end hotel/resort! STAY here you will not regret it!

Barb H.

Yelp
My husband and I "stumbled" onto this place. The location is superb, the staff feels like family and the service is excellent. Though this is an older property, it is very well maintained and white glove clean. Their adjacent bar and grill provides live music, tasty food and great sunsets. When we return to Florida next March we hope to spend our entire time at the Palm Pavillion. Barb H.
