A straight 4 stars. The hotel itself has a wonderful old Hollywood vibe. For someone who is usually happy in lower quality, no heirs and graces about me, this is excellent value, and I love the architecture of the building. Not given five stars simply as to not mislead anyone into thinking this an exceptional hotel in Palm Springs, but it would be exceptional in most resorts. I loved it. And it has that bit of history too.

We stayed in the main building and our unit was recently remodeled so it was very nice. We loved being within walking distance of the downtown shops and restaurants. The tennis court and gym are very well maintained. The few minor issues with the stove and garbage disposal were fixed immediately with the friendly maintenance man, Manny.. Staff was extremely helpful and pleasant. Free EV car chargers was a plus

Spent two weeks here and it was great. The amenities are very good and staff very friendly. We were also able to charge our Tesla in the garage. Spencer’s Restaurant was walking distance as was downtown PS.

We stayed in a studio in the 'hotel,' which was nice but not luxurious, as you can tell old cabinets and tiles just got some paint. But fresh carpet, clean, quiet appliances, and great balcony set-up. Love love love the saline pools. Spencer's, where we planned to grab breakfasts, is closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays. We made coffee in the room, and walked the 8-minute stroll into town. Staff are attentive and checked in with us via text. We enjoyed this new way of staying in Palm.

The location was perfect. Close to attractions. The room was quiet but road construction woke us up a couple of the days. The bed was my biggest complaint. It was old so it had huge indentations where people slept so if you went too much towards the middle you felt like you were going to roll off the bed. The a/c was tricky to master at bed time. Our room had a full kitchen but no oven. Tip: check the temp of your fridge because ours was set at the lowest level. I was surprised by the small family pool. You can borrow bikes here but they don't have kid-size bikes.

Outstanding vacation and a great facility. Not too crowded and well decorated cottages. There were a couple of issues which were quickly rectified by staff.

First the people are unfriendly at the front desk. The rooms are old and smell moldy , se had to leave the sliding door open for fresh air. I don’t think they have updated this property since the 1930s and they are trying to live off the old days. I would never stay here again when there are so many other choices in the downtown area. ||The check in from 430 on and check out is at 10:30, this is absurd and a waste of money . IMO

The management does an excellent job of taking care of the property and the owners are also well taken care of. Best location in the valley for walking access to restaurants and shopping.

Yelp
We wanted to thank Ernie Perez (Chief Engineer) from the Palm Springs Tennis Club for his assistance and generosity. On Friday January 5, we went to start our adventure for the day around 9am. Alarmingly, our vehicle would not start. We went to the front desk to ask for assistance for a battery jumper or jumper cables. They phoned in to maintenance for assistance. Ernie and his partner came to our assistance offering jumper cables and assistance. The jumper cables didn't fix the issue, so Ernie offered to call AAA for assistance. Approx 30 minutes later, AAA arrived and fixed the problem within 5 minutes. Ernie truly went out of his way to assist us. Our way and vacation went on without any other problems. Our day could have been a whole lot worse if Ernie hadn't helped us. Thank you Ernie!

Yelp
The extended family has been spending a week in July here for forty years! My husband and I have been joining them for the last 15 years and have seen numerous updates and consistent maintainence of the rooms and lovely flowering landscape throughout the bungalows and in front of the hotel rooms.. We have stayed in the large hotel rooms with large bathrooms and full kitchens, as well as the one story bungalows grouped around the family pools. We enjoy hanging out at the adult pool behind the fabulous Spencer's where you can get cocktails from the bar if you cover your swimsuit. Great place for a getaway.

Yelp
It is with great pleasure as the owner of a concierge business out of state " Las Vegas NV" in fact the optimum test for quality in hospitality that I find a resort in Palm Springs CA that met and surpassed all my expectations. From the point I made my reservations, during my stay, and after my check out the management team went beyond pale to make sure my experience was everything I anticipated. The staff Ray Ogden and his front desk team, reservations, security, house keeping, really made for a "the four seasons" type of stay. I can only ask you reach out to the staff when making your next reservation as it will NOT disappoint. Job Well Done All!!

Yelp
We have owned a prime week for a decade at the Tennis Club. Excited in the beginning, issues of some kind many times, this year has been the worst yet. Mistakes from the Tennis Club desk, combined with six entirely different Capital International and Trading Places frustrating conversations have left us defeated. Endless hours trying to resolve simple things, "I'll forward you", has become the slogan. We are dumping our week, since it is simply a waste of effort. It's just terrible. Customer service, sometimes it appears, it may be a lost talent in companies like the Palm Springs Tennis Club, Capital International, and Trading Places. We rent a house now, it's so easy.

Yelp
Stayed here over Memorial Day, 5/27 - 5/30, 2022. I was mentally at 3.5 stars, but my lean is more toward 4 stars. I have nothing bad to say, the club is loaded with charm and the staff was outstanding, we truly enjoyed ourselves. The highlights: LOCATION = can't beat the location, right up against the San Jacinto mountains, in the historic Palm Springs tennis district, just a 2 block walk to the heart of downtown Palm Springs w/ tons of shops, restaurants and cafes. UNITS = we stayed in a 2 bedroom, 2 bath "Wimbledon" bungalow. They have a full kitchen, living room, and little private patio out back, which I utilized to enjoy a nightly cigar. The couch is also a pullout, you cold easily accommodate 5-6 people. POOLS = the main oval pool (adults only) is sweet - right up against Mt. San Jacinto, with a few cabanas, lounge chairs, and big retro jacuzzi. Right outside our room (#354) was the quiet pool, which is where we spent our time. We enjoyed meeting several other individuals staying at the tennis club. FRIENDLY SERVICE = ask for whatever you need, and you will likely get it with a smile. TENNIS COURTS = plenty of these as you might imagine, you do need to make a reservation, but it's not a problem getting on. FREE BIKE RENTALS = great way to see the surrounding neighborhoods and head into town, I enjoyed ridding a tandem bike with my daughter. GREAT HIKING NEARBY = You can walk to the start of the North Lykken Trail, the Museum Trail, or the Tahquitz Trail, with the beautiful Tahquitz waterfall at the end (so I've read). See my review for the Museum trail head hike. AMENITIES AND ACTIVITIES = they have so many fun, free things to do!  In addition to the bikes, they have board games and DVD check-outs, game room w/ foosball, shuffleboard and pool table, plus outdoor ping pong, skee ball and basketball.  Plus, they have a few activities each day, like lawn games, movies, Bingo, crafts, etc. Also, the renowned restaurant, Spencer's, is right on site, but we did not dine there. PARKING = you get your own reserved parking spot which is convenient. I guess I'm not at 5 stars because the property is dated, but, that is also part of the charm and allure, the amenities are always evolving but they are not making any quantum architectural leaps, and they likely don't want that. Everything works great and we really enjoyed ourselves, I look forward to a return visit.

Yelp
The Tennis Club is a combination hotel and time share villas. It is clean, well maintained and a short walk to downtown Palm Springs. The staff are very attentive and friendly. There is an upscale restaurant " Spencer's" a "stones throw from the hotel. The 2 bedroom timeshare bungalows are across from the hotel. You are assigned your own parking space right by your bungalow. The master suite is large, has an en-suite bathroom and the second bedroom is also spacious with 2 twin beds.. Both have TV's with another TV in the living room. Our bungalow was steps away from the smaller "quiet pool" as they call it and it has a separate fenced private patio. Haven't made it to the Adult pool yet but I'm told has a beer bar and music. All in all it's a great place to stay in Palm Springs, close to everything, private and peaceful.

Yelp
Nice place to stay when in Palm Springs. Just 2 blocks from downtown, tucked in a residential neighborhood at the base of the mountain. The room I had in the main building was remodeled and very nice. Good service. Underground parking in a well lit garage.

Yelp
I loved this place. Stayed for the weekend with two friends. The bungalow we stayed in was large and very clean. It felt like we had our own apartment. Also, I loved how quiet the complex was!!! The only downside is the adult pool closes early, but other than that this place is 5 out of 5. Visually beautiful, clean, and decently priced. I will be back.

Yelp
The highlights are the pool, free coffee and popcorn plus the housekeeping staff. However, this hotel is very outdated-there was a tear in the bathroom shower curtain, the door had cracks both on top and on the bottom. We were given 10 papers to thumb through at check in-they need to condense and make it simple. Also, the staff was not very friendly unfortunately. For example, we asked our first day for pool towels and her response was "they told you at check in". Which was not the case. Apparently they are rolled up in the closet. Also, your towels specifically need to be in the laundry basket outside and not by themselves if you want them replaced (again not in papers and not shared at check in). If you do laundry, expect the dryer to take 1.5 hours. Lastly, the fitness center temp was set at 84 degrees. It's very close to downtown but unfortunately we will not stay here again.

Kenneth C.

Yelp
Stayed here several times but this was my first time in the Bungalows. Absolutely loved it. Plenty of room and the ground were beautifully maintained. Several pools and a short walk to the main str with all the shops and restaurants. The history in this resort is amazing. All week we were there I kept wondering which stars stayed in our room. Nice job to all the staff at the resort especially the grounds keepers and pool cleaners.

Yelp
In the midst of July when it is 115F degrees in the shade. A quick get away to one of our favorite destinations. That of course includes the resort we stayed at. The Palm Springs Tennis Club gave us a worry free accommodations with all the amenities that are important. Easy parking, a security gate entry, lovely gardens and mature palm trees, a well stocked unit 304, easy access to the pool and spa with clean RR facilities close by, a friendly front desk staff, and the hot sunny days we enjoyed by keeping cool indoors or in the pool. Yes we have been here many many times before, and will definitely return to the Palm Springs Tennis Club again.

Yelp
Palm Springs Tennis Club is now our favorite place to stay in Palm Springs. Top 10 reasons we love it? 10. LOCATION - can't beat the location, right up against the San Jacinto mountains, in the historic Palm Springs tennis district, just a 2 block walk to the heart of downtown Palm Springs w/ tons of shops, restaurants and cafes. 9. HISTORY - It was initially built over 80 years ago, in 1937, and postcards claim its oval pool with two majestic 75-foot palms forming a V over it, was one of the most photographed pools in the word. The Club was a hot spot for tennis legends and movie stars, and the prestigious membership list included celebrities such as Bob Hope and Frank Sinatra. 8. UNITS - they have studios and 1-bedroom suites, but our favorites are the 2-bedroom, 2 bath "Wimbledon" bungalows. They have a full kitchen, living room, and little patio out back. 7. POOLS - the main oval pool (adults only) is absolutely stunning - right up against Mt. San Jacinto, with a few cabanas, lounge chairs, and big retro jacuzzi. One time we actually saw 4 bighorn sheep meandering on the rocks right above the pool - so cool. Old postcards claim it was one of the most photographed pools in the world with its hallmark of two majestic 75 foot palms forming a towering "V' over the pool. There are two other pools and several other Jacuzzis, too. 6. FRIENDLY SERVICE - ask for whatever you need. And much of the staff have been there forever; the first time we went, one of the housekeepers, Flo, told us she had worked there for 40 years, since 1977; crazy! 5. TENNIS COURTS - historic and beautiful. Wish they would add some pickleball courts! 4. FREE BIKE RENTALS - great way to see the surrounding neighborhoods and head into town. 3. GREAT HIKING NEARBY - You can walk to the start of the Lykken Trail, which goes right above the Tennis Club. Or, just a mile south is the Tahquitz Trail, with the beautiful Tahquitz waterfall at the end. Or, the beautiful Palm Canyon, Murray Canyon, Indian Canyon hikes are just 4 miles south. 2. AMENITIES AND ACTIVITIES: They have so many fun, free things to do! In addition to the bikes, they have board game and DVD check-outs, game room w/ foosball, shuffleboard and pool table, plus outdoor ping pong, skee ball and basketball. Plus, they have a few activities each day, like lawn games, movies, Bingo, crafts, etc. Also, the renowned restaurant, Spencer's, is right on site. 1. BEAUTIFUL HOME AWAY FROM HOME - every time we go, we just feel relaxed and rejuvenated. From the stunning views to the beautiful desert landscaping, to the fruit trees on the property, hiking, biking and exploring the town, we feel right at home and are so glad to have had the chance to get away.

Yelp
Really great place. Clean and comfortable condos. The kids loved the pool, had a great time. Definitely will go back.

Yelp
We had a small snafu at check-in but it was solved quickly. This place is beautiful! The location is superb, it's nestled against the mountains. We stayed in one of the one bedroom villas (booked via air bnb so I'm unsure of their booking process). We were right behind the jacuzzi. The resort is within a few blocks of the downtown area but it was too hot for us to walk. There seems to be a solid amount of parking wherever you're wanting to go. The grounds are really nice and we had a blast staying this weekend.

Craig R.

Yelp
I am hosting a large family group this weekend and everyone has commented on the ease of the check-in process and how much they love their rooms! The Tennis club delivers a 5-star experience all the way around, from customer service to accommodations. Highly recommended!

Yelp
Our stay transported us to the mid century. This did mean a compromise on some modern amenities, but the price seemed to accommodate that. Hope to come back for warmer days by the pool!

Yelp
The Palm Springs Tennis Club is a beautiful and relaxing place to vacation. It has great customer service, (Esmeralda and Michelle were so helpful!), newly remodeled rooms, 3 pools, spas, and of course premier tennis courts! The Tennis Club also Spencer's Restaurant located on the premises. It's one of the best restaurants in town. We've been going to Spencer's for years, but unfortunately we're not able to take our family there any more. Spencer's stopped allowing children under age 12 to eat there. This is disappointing because the Tennis Club is and has always been a family resort. I hope their policy returns to allowing children in, at least for daytime hours. Visit the Palm Springs Tennis Club on your next vacation. You can become an owner like we are (its a Timeshare) or you can just visit. You won't regret it! Patti G

Yelp
We love being in such a beautiful place so close to downtown. We've been coming for years, and each time we notice that they've improved yet another thing in the rooms. The staff is really helpful, especially Pauline, who has such a gracious attitude and truly wants to make your stay the best it can be.

Yelp
Where do I start. Let's start with check in. Asking the front desk where the closest place to grab a bite to eat because their restaurant is closed Tuesday and Wednesday and they had the nerve to reply with, "I don't know, you'll have to look for something." Don't expect reliable wifi. Don't expect good cell service either. Being against the mountain is like being in a cult compound. No communication with the outside world. Let's get to hospitality. NO HOUSEKEEPING. When we went to make our own bed, we discovered that the mattress pad and fitted sheet were buried underneath the top sheets at the foot of the bed, not even attached to the mattress. We slept on a mattress slip cover the first night. Their website told us there was no pool or hot tubs so we didn't pack our suits (and we stupidly still kept our reservation.) We arrived to seeing wet people leaving the pool area and walking around the property. There's a flyer in the welcome brochure about vacation rentals that will call the rooms willy nilly trying to sell you something. OUR PHONE RANG FOUR TIMES BEFORE 8AM. Stay at the Holiday Inn and save a lot of money and at least they'll tell you where to pick up coffee in the morning. We're being charged $300 a night because of Coachella. Their attitude sucks no matter where you turn. I still can't get over the person that told us that they didn't know where a nearby restaurant was. It was dinner time. I know front desk isn't concierge service, we weren't looking for them to make us reservations. I was greeted by a very nice woman the next morning at 5am that told me Starbucks was 4 blocks away. She had to apologize for her coworker's negligence and arrogant defiance to help a tourist new to the area, in a goddamn hotel. I genuinely felt bad for her because the staff the night before was so attitudinal and dismissive. If I could give any place less than Zero stars I would. May the universe protect you if you ever decide to stay here. Never again. I would stay anywhere else at this point, it's a nightmare of a stay. The wifi has left my ipad a dozen times while I was composing this. This place is the worst and I hope to get fully reimbursed in the morning and hopefully find a room anywhere but here because I have to be in Palm Springs for another 6 days. UPDATE AFTER 3 DAYS. Since there is no housekeeping I am making my own bed. Fine. Today as I pulled the sheets back to air out the bed I discovered multiple long black hairs. My husband is bald and I have short blonde hair. They never changed the sheets before we checked in. I am so grossed out.

Yelp
Let me start by saying it was a 2 bedroom bungalow that is very dated but clean and spacious.. There were some pros but major cons.. Pros: Very roomy for a 2 bedroom The kitchen was large with everything you would need to cook Dining table had a great setup The Staff were very welcoming and made you feel at home Assigned Parking spot The Adult Pool the water is cooled down which was good Cons: The bungalow was very dark Shutters in both bedrooms and front room did not stay open as they were older No hot water in the bathroom showers One of the bathrooms had barely any water coming out of the shower head No conditioner in the bathrooms (very odd as they had shampoo and soap) POOLS were a big letdown... The pictures in the photos looked nothing like the pools actually looked. In the rules they outlined you could not use your own flotation device/noodle but the ones they had onsite were awful and falling apart There is poolside service but only in the adult pool and only between 11:30-2:30 we however were not told so we found out after we had already purchased our drinks elsewhere The walls are very thin so I heard kids in the EARLY AM outside my bedroom and everyone at the family pool that was in front of our bungalow Overall if you are looking for a 2 bedroom and do not care about the pools or the thin walls this would work out as it is spacious. However for me I will not be going back.

Yelp
One tip! You can only book via phone!!! Crazy right? It's great with last minute plans during a holiday! Just checked in and so far so good! Did some shopping at cabazon before checkin and totally pooped! Checkin was quick! Walking distance to downtown main strip (5mins). Nestled against the mountains... One only downside is that the adult pool was closed since 3:30 due to a private party! I was devastated.... But it's open tomorrow and the family pool and quiet pool is open... Our room has a straight on view of the tennis courts against the mountains. Beautiful!! Sipping on my sparkling wine...things are good. You get free underground parking as well. So your car doesn't roast in this 95 degree heat.

Yelp
Always love the rest and relaxation at the PSTC! Had a bungalow this time. Will do that from here on out! The best!

Yelp
First time in Palm Springs and we'd definitely stay here again. I was a little worried what to expect because some of the reviews. The staff here were friendly, but I'd like to give a special shout out to the security guard. He was amazing and went out of his way to welcome and show us where our room was. The tennis club is very close to downtown. We also used bikes for free that were offered by the tennis club. The bed was also very comfy and the room was clean. Over all no complaints, great stay.

Yelp
I love coming out to our time share at PSTC every year for some rest, relaxation and TENNIS! This year we stayed in room 206 which is a nice big room that needed just a few maintenance upgrades. First, the bathtub was in need of resurfacing. I'm sure the tub has gotten a lot of use over the years and just needs a quick resurface to look good again. Second, the doors in the bathroom needed wiping down as there were dirty hand prints where fingers slide across to close the door. Also, I don't have a picture, but the elevator has short green carpeting on the walls that makes it look like a freight elevator. The Waxie air freshener inside always reminds me of how a hospital smells and can be overpowering. Again, a quick upgrade of the elevator would make PSTC more inviting when you head up to your room, as it's one of the first things you see and is a first impression of the overall property. Perhaps some neutral wall carpeting or paint would do the trick? I've included some pics of the tennis courts, the clubhouse and fitness center. I used all three and always have a good time using these facilities. There's always enough stuff to do here and we rarely have down time because of all the amenities! The young man at the front desk on a Thursday night was very friendly, gave us a great Thai food restaurant recommendation and let us do our laundry past the posted hours (6a-10p, just in case you need to get some FREE laundry done!). PSTC is a gem. I really feel terrific when our week is up and I'm refreshed and ready to return to real life. See ya next time!!!

Yelp
Love the Palm Springs Tennis Club quaint little Villas with plenty of pools and Hot Tubs at your pleasure. Very private with lots of great workout facilities including all the tennis courts and phenomenal weight room. They are walking distance from Downtown Palm Springs and very close to the Tahquitz Falls as well as all of the other Mountain hiking areas. You can do it all at the Palm Springs Tennis Club.
google avatar

Yelp
Pleasantly surprised. We booked a Deluxe Suite, and got a quiet bungalow corner unit, with private patio and parking! The entire interior have been remodeled and redecorated very modernly. Nice living space with large Kitchenette and fridge. Small bathroom but very good shower. Well appointed bedroom. The white shutters are nice touch. Great AC! And so affordable!

Jill L.

Yelp
If you need internet access DO NOT STAY HERE! It's difficult enough to travel during Covid and if you need to check in with work, family or school this is not the place for you. They give you a WiFi password, but it's to a garbage system that doesn't offer any service. We offered to pay more for better service and their own IT company said they weren't authorized to upgrade it. This is a great example of not investing in their own property. We had to find a new hotel after 16 hours here. They should be upfront about no or limited service. We specifically asked before we booked our stay and they flat out lied to us. The only good thing is the cleaning/house keeping crew do a great job and are very thoughtful.

Yelp
We stayed one August weekend and it was freezing... ...Yeah right, it was effing HOT in the desert; upwards of 110F and I think the car thermometer read 118 at one point in the day, but still felt like a record 123. PSTC is a great place to get away, located at the base of the San Jacinto mountains, and not too far from the main road. Check-in was a cinch. Even though we arrived around 9-10pm, there was someone at the front desk. He was polite, made sure we knew where our assigned parking space was and the easiest way to get to our condo (++). I think housekeeping forgot to pull the door locked because I was able to push the door open without a keycard (-). I got creeped out since it was dark, so we checked the rooms, closets, and under the beds SWAT Team style to make sure the place was secure (Code 4 - no further assistance needed). After unpacking, we left the place for a few hours because even thought the air conditioners were running in preparation for our stay, the door being ajar turned the room into an oven. Housekeeping made up for it later on, though, with towels...and more towels with a smile. No rationing of towels like there was a shortage. The 1bd/1ba place was sufficient. It had a kitchenette including a fridge, oven, micro, dishwasher, and sink. The main room had an air conditioner, ceiling fan, dining table for four, TV with DVD/VHS player, a chair w/ ottoman, and a couch bed. The hallway closet had a vacuum, iron and board. The bedroom had another AC, fan, closet, and dresser drawers. The full bathroom was stocked with the usual accoutrements (+). The small pool and jacuzzi areas were reasonably clean and the landscaping was well manicured (+). We preferred the adult pool to escape the crowding, splashing, loudness, etc. The family pool was especially busy because a secondary pool was under construction. The property is relatively dated in comparison to newer resorts and hotels that have all HDTV flat screens and digital on-demand services. But that's not why we enjoy coming back. Palm Springs Tennis Club is family friendly and provides an opportunity to get away from the stresses of the daily grind without sacrificing all modern amenities. A good value at a fair price.

Yelp
It was a surprise to me but the Historic Tennis Club area of Palm Springs is not kid-friendly! Most of the hotels do not accept guests under the age of 18. The Tennis Club was an exception, and while the rooms were not super updated, the room's amenities more than made up for it. I stayed two nights in a Deluxe 1 bedroom. The room was bigger than some of the apartments I've rented with a separate living area, two bathrooms (one on-suite to the master) and one in the hallway, and a full kitchen with stove, full fridge, microwave, and dishwasher. Some of the room was clearly recently renovated, like the new carpeting, some of the furnishings in the bedroom and living room. However, the bathrooms and kitchens are pretty outmoded with vinyl showers and a lot of linoleum. The location was very central to downtown Palm Springs. A quick drove took you straight to Palm Canyon and the nearby restaurants, grocery stores, and convenience stores there. It worked out really nicely for my stay with my family (including my 1 year old baby). Note, they do not have baby cribs and their beds are REALLY high off the ground.

Rishi M.

Yelp
Pathetic place to be in Palm Springs. I stayed with PSTC for 2 nights, and during 1st night stay some water pipeline broke and it damaged most of my personal property. When have informed PSTC management, they asked me for itemized details of property damaged and put a claim to their insurance. Now the insurance claim agent calls me to inform, first as per California law they are only liable for max $500 and second in their investigation they found out it was a water pipeline break and because it was accidental in nature they are denying my claim. Now they are asking me to put claim on my home insurance for the loss. This is really absurd!! It was my first vacation in last 2 years and it went down the drain along with my personal loss of over $5k. WARNING: 1. Irresponsible management 2. Very old place, so carry your own insurance- because anything can happen and PSTC management just washes their hands it's not their mistake.

Yelp
Omg, I found these tennis courts yesterday close to noon. It was like approaching desert hot high time. So the tennis area was empty. I found the best time to play tennis in Palm Springs is early morning. So I made a reservation for an hour with the tennis machine at 6:30am. Well, I initially awoke at 5:30am, but got ready too early because there was still 30minutes before my reservation. So I fell asleep and just woke up at like 9:56am. And I'm still sleepy. I guess, I'm not hitting tennis balls as initially anticipated today. It's only $15 cash too. Anyhow, the Palm Springs Tennis Courts are gorgeous grounds with a pool, Spenser's and valet parking. I could be a whole resort vicinity. And the people there are personable. I liked them. There's always a next time.

Yelp
Love love love this hotel! My family comes here a couple times a year and we absolutely love it! The staff is always friendly, the rooms are always clean, it's definitely our spot when we come to Palm Springs. We usually hang out by the small pool it's so relaxing and nice. They've been renovating the rooms the past few times I've gone, giving them and much more modern look which is kind of nice. It's also super closer to downtown Palm Springs we're all the restaurants and shops are.

Yelp
As I plan my escape into the desert heat for the 4th of July weekend, I can physically feel myself relaxing just thinking about Palm Springs and the Tennis Club. I've been staying at the Palm Springs Tennis Club since I was about 15 or so. It's become my place to relax and recharge from the stresses of everyday life. It's close enough to LA to make it not such a journey, but far enough that it feels like a trip. The Palm Springs Tennis Club is in a great location. It's in the heart of Palm Springs, but nestled against the mountains. The mountain side of the resort is my favorite place to be. From the balconies you can watch an assortment of desert life from road runners to large lizards to even coyotes or the occasional mountain lion! The Tennis Club has been updated recently, yet it still has that old charm. The units are not luxurious, but they are functional, comfortable, clean and nice. Most of the units are 1-bedrooms with 2 full bathrooms, a living room, dining area and kitchen. There are some smaller units and even a couple with Murphy (sp?) beds! Now those are fun! The resort opened up a 4-star restaurant called Spencers a couple of years ago. Also a very nice place to dine. Near Spencers is my favorite place at the Tennis Club: The ADULT pool. I dream about this place...not because it's large or has any sort of special features, but simply because of the colors. Strange, I know - but the combination of the blues from the water and sky combined with the hot pink bougainvillea and the reddish brown mountains and rocks makes this place a pleasure for the senses. My only issue with the Tennis Club is something that probably won't be an issue in a couple of years. My issue is that the resort is heavily geared towards families. There are daily activities and social gatherings. That said, it is not necessary to participate or even come in contact with any of that...though sometimes it is difficult to avoid screaming children in the hallways. Honestly, where do they get that energy in that heat? I was also told when I booked my reservation that they no longer have their spa. Now that's sad. Also, given that I haven't played tennis in years, I can't really comment on the actual tennis part of the club. The courts do look nice and are usually occupied in the very early hours of the morning (big surprise). So, as my week comes to a close and Palm Springs draws nearer, I can already feeling the lapping of the cool water as I float in the pool. These are the things dreams are made of!

Yelp
My family and I stayed here on July 7-14, 2013 (high temperatures 86-114 degrees, low temp. was only during the night). We stayed in one of the villas with a king size bed, sofa bed in the living room, and full kitchen. We also had a reserved parking space. The grounds were filled with beautiful views of green plants, trees, and flowers. They did a great job with maintaining the property. Staff here were also friendly, if they don't pick up your phone call, they will call you back when they are available. In addition, housekeeping always did a wonderful job cleaning and stocking our room (clean towels, soap, shampoo, etc.) on a daily basis. Furthermore, I was also surprised to see a small red sharps container under the bathroom sink. What a great accommodation to have for their diabetic guest. We stayed here because of its location of being close to Anaheim and San Deigo. Palm Springs is in the middle and about a 2 hour drive away from each of them. Palm Springs Tennis Club is also in a great location in Palm Springs. We were near the heart of the city, minutes away from downtown PS, hiking trails, casino, soak city, museum, grocery stores, and church. Our villa was perfect for our family. The girls slept on the sofa bed, while our son slept in between us on the king size bed, and our baby in his crib (yes, we brought his crib =). The full kitchen was a great help during our vacation. With a family of 6, its not an easy task to get everyone ready to leave on time, so while one of us was getting the kids ready, the other would make breakfast. In addition, the kitchen was equipped with the necessities, plates, knifes, utensils, pots, pans, measuring cup, ice trays, paper towels, soap, dish rack, etc. Furthermore, our room included a small patio in the back and front of our villa. The front had a small round table with 2 chairs and the back had a small round table with 4 chairs. The back patio came in handy because it was so HOT that it only took a few hours to dry our swimsuits on the chairs! The only things I would change in our villa was the shower head and the swimming pool curfew. The shower head needed more pressure and the pool closes at 10pm. With high temperatures during the summer, I wish they would have made an exception. All in all, I would definitely recommend this place. It really was our home away from home.

Yelp
Such a great location and hotel. Although they are remodeling, they have sectioned it off so you're not bothered by noise or dust. The room we stayed in was a very clean blast from the past. My husband and I felt transported to the 60's/70's. This is not to say it looked ugly to dirty. It looked like an elegant place our parents would have come and enjoyed. From check in to check out, the staff were super friendly and helpful. The grounds were manicured and beautiful. The hotel was elegant and clean. The rooms are outdated but very comfortable. The only one thing that will lower it from a 5 star to 4 would be the loud air conditioner. I'm sure once it's remodeled, there will be an updated system that will be quiet. For those that love to play tennis, this is the place. I had planned a reunion with some of my UCLA friends so we can play like we use to. Unfortunately, we're all a bit older and don't play as well. But we had a blast! Since it's very hot in the summer, we decided to play early in the morning or in the evening. For those that love to hang out at the pool, they have a great pool. Lot of cool people hanging out and relaxing. Although we came with friends, we still ended up making friends. This is just one of those places that makes you feel good. Being a historical spot with celebrity stories, you feel a sense of nostalgia. If it's not too hot, it's few blocks of walking to the strip. All in all, I was very happy with my stay. Even though I'm a bit of a snob when I stay at a resort, Palm Springs Tennis Club just made me feel good to be there. Spencer's restaurant is right next to the hotel (actually on the property). They are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It's very updated with seating inside and out. The food is delicious and the staff are awesome! I am going to keep up with their remodeling and go back as soon as it's done! I know my review says 4 stars, but it's actually 4.5! Looking forward to coming back!

Yelp
This was our second visit to this location and both experiences have been nothing short of AWESOME. Most of the staff are very friendly and care about your needs. Actually on this visit there was only one lady who could care less about your needs or desires. She may really care, but acted like whatever...This incident stemmed from a car which parked in two spots one being mine for almost two days, really??? The condo's, two different ones we stayed in were nothing shore of exceptional. The first time we were in a smaller style unit which still seemed really big with a kitchenette but had a ton of closet space and was very comfortable. The second unit had a full kitchen, was bigger then the first visit but had less overall closet space. Both units as I said were very comfortable but they do need to have curtains on all the windows which the second unit did not in the bedroom, it only had blinds which did not keep the morning light out. We had to cover the window with towels to keep the morning light from shining in. The location is right in the heart of downtown Palm Springs and now that the city has the Buzz bus which stops right on the corner of the property, you can get anywhere in the area to any shop or restaurant you desire. We love this place and the experience we had and even though we can trade in, I am considering purchasing a week here just to have because the prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend this place as a place to stay as the entire staff are very friendly and really care about your concerns and needs. They will go out of their way to ensure you have an enjoyable experience and anything you need will be taken care of.

Yelp
This place brings back memories for me. I've been coming here every summer since about the age of 10 and I'm 36 now. Granted I may have missed a few years here and there. This has always been a good relaxing resort. It's located close enough to downtown that you can walk or bike. It's quiet and tranquil at times. There are several different bungalows that you can stay in. They mostly all look the same but they are nice. There are a few different pools and jacuzzis that are on the grounds that you can plunge into if you like to swim or relax by. This resort also has different activities that they put on throughout the day everyday. So there is always something to do. They lose 1 star due to some of the rooms being outdated but last I was there they we remodeling them.

Yelp
Great place and great value. We got in late and they still honored all our requests. We had a full kitchen and Mountain View. There was a separate bedroom. Very quiet and very close to town which is walking distance. There are around 3 pools and jacuzzis . We would definitely stay here ahain

Yelp
They've definitely done some much needed upgrades and modernization. Rooms are looking really nice and staff is still as accommodating as before.

Yelp
Stayed her for a night for a wedding in town. Easy check-in, but had to drive out to the room. Parking was right next to the room which was great since it was 105F. This is a timeshare kind of place, so it had a lot more than what I needed or expected. The room has a separate room with couch/dining set and kitchen. Small, but definitely good if you are planning to stay in the area for longer than a couple of days. Worked out great since my brother stayed with me, so he got the couch. The room had more towels than I have ever seen I a hotel room. I could have washed my hands all day and had a new towel to wipe them down each time. The bed was comfortable, and did not problem passing out until the 11:00am checkout. The TV in the room was kind of small though.

Yelp
My husband & I have had a time share her for the last 8 yrs. we knew it would be different w/ Covid but it's worse than we thought! The place was dirty, no housekeeping. You have to leave all dirty towels, trash outside door & hope it gets replaced. Bathtub was peeling off finish. Large clumps of hair stuck to the wall (not mine!) couch springs broken & fabric had large stain. Dishes in cupboards had food on them. Apparently u have to ask for a non-stick pan, fun cooking eggs in an old metal saucepan! Microwave cracked (was it even safe?) , the place was dirty! when I complained to front desk, they told me that our unit was to be remodeled next year!!! Seriously?? We're leaving early bcuz/ PS basically closed down, & police car going down street on loud speaker yelling orders for masks & such, it just wasn't worth it! Rather be home in my own Covid infested city!!! Anyone want to buy a cheap timeshare???

Yelp
I honestly do not know how anyone has given this place any stars. Let me highlight the positives first: Proximity to downtown Kitchen Negatives: Dirty carpet Dirty couches Bedcovers that need to be washed I encountered ants and cockroaches in MY ROOM! Dated decor Chipped paint all over my room Overall, this facility needs a major overhaul. Don't be fooled by the other reviews. Update one day later....more roaches in the kitchen.

Yelp
We have owned a studio here since early 90s. They have recently renovated the rooms and are very nice. The old management company as well as front desk were always great to work with and allowed our grown kids to stay at the resort. The front desk was always responsive, answered the phone quickly and excellent to work with. The verdict is out on the new management. Whenever we have called the front desk, the phone rings and rings and then put on hold! Have to push 1 for reservations (even if you only don't need a reservation) if you want to talk to anyone quickly! But PSTC grounds are beautiful, love the quiet pool for adults, very clean and well maintained! Spencer's (on site) is one of the best restaurants in PS.

Yelp
We've stayed here before, in a studio with kitchenette in the main building. This time, we got a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom suite across the street from the main building. I was very surprised at the size of the suite. It was HUGE. The front door opens onto a foyer leading to the master bedroom, the second bedroom, and the living/dining room. The living/dining room is next to the kitchen, separated by a breakfast bar/counter. I managed to call dibs on the master bedroom before GMIT could claim it. Phew! Master bedroom - big room with king bed, two closets, a TV, ceiling fan, and private bathroom. The bathroom area is large, with sink and a full-sized closet. The toilet and shower are in a separate room from the sink and closet area. The shower/toilet room is large, and the shower head is big and round. Good water pressure and plenty of hot water available. Foyer - has a full-size closet with vacuum, iron, and laundry basket. Also has the AC control for the entire suite. This means that temperature will vary throughout the rooms. Also leads to second bathroom. Second bedroom - has two twin beds, ceiling fan, TV and full-sized closet. GMIT could close the door and watch as much Nick and Disney channel as she wanted without torturing me. Living room - Couch that folds out into a bed, two armchairs, ceiling fan, and dining table with six chairs. Kitchen - full-sized U-shaped, with full-size refrigerator and range, coffee maker, toaster, blender, electric skillet, dishwasher, pots and pans, dishes, flatware and utensils. Salt and pepper are also provided. You don't need to bring anything other than spices. The kitchen has a quaint raffia rug on top of the tiles. I did a lot of cooking in the kitchen, and wasn't inconvenienced by anything. Cooking and clean up were easy. The pool area features a kidney-shaped pool and a jacuzzi. The rec area is across the street in the main building. It has coffee (regular and decaf), fresh popcorn in the afternoon, a pool table, and a lots of tables. Free WIFI is available. In the lobby are 2 sluggish but free computers with internet access and a laser printer. You know those stinkin' kids who hog the lobby computers? GMIT turned out to be one of them. I did not know that. Computer use is limited to 15 minutes if others are waiting to use it. Housekeeping will clean your room daily in the studios in the main building. Once a week in the suites across the streets (although they will pick up your trash daily - maybe). After I found a Blackberry charger left behind by a previous guest, I started looking for hidden treasure throughout the suite. I found a sleepmask, paper and cheetos bits, and a note left behind by a previous guest. GMIT found a package of ice pops in the freezer. The raffia rug in the kitchen was set there to disguise a horrible hot pot scorch mark on the vinyl tile left there by a previous guest. We found this out after they called us to let us know they wanted to fix it during our stay - although they never showed up to fix it. The lights in the courtyard outside our rooms went dark and remained so, even after we told the front desk. So, cleanliness and maintenance could have been better. I appreciated the size and appointment of the rooms, though. Wireless internet to the rooms is spotty. I discovered that I got the best reception when sitting in GMIT's bedroom (the second one), or in the foyer. I also got so-so reception when sitting in the closet inside the master bath area. I got a great deal on this room, and I'd gladly stay here again.

Yelp
Just stayed here for the weekend and loved it. All staff were friendly and helpful. Diane, who set me up with a racquet and ball machine on the court, was very accommodating and personable. The young woman who checked me in Friday (Esmerelda?) was likewise very cordial and answered all my questions so that I was prepared for the very relaxing weekend I so needed. The room was super clean, and all the grounds are very well kept. I also love how quiet it was. I can't wait to go back.

Yelp
The room looks really nice, but the front desk is awful. We came late at night 1:20am, and wasn't able to check in because the person who was supposed to work that shift didn't show up. The security guard let us know he was as surprised no one from the tennis club was there and that there was nothing he could do (completely understand) and he had no phone number for us to call. Luckily if the rest of my family didn't have a second unit we would have other had to drive home to LA, rent a second hotel or sleep in our car. When trying to check in the next morning the man at the front desk was rude. When checking in we explained our situation about trying to check in at around 1:30 am to which he actually corrected us and said "it was 1:20am" as if that made it better some how? After that he gave us problems signing into the room despite the registered guest calling the prior night authorizing us to check in. I told him I'd make a phone call to get things sorted out. I then go back up to the front desk only to be ignored by him until I finally had my family in the other unit call the front desk. We finally got our room and asked for directions, to which he said it's on the second floor, to which I ask where on the second floor? To which he points up, I again reiterate my question as I am aware where a 2nd floor is located but not the specific room and asked if it's on the right side of the hotel (as if looking from the street) to which he replied yes... upon looking at a resort my which we were given by my family and not the front desk we discovered the room was in fact on the opposite side of the building. Overall we were unable to checkin without unnecessary attitude and received NO apology for being stranded in the middle of the night despite them having someone scheduled to be there! As mentioned previously we didn't even receive a resort map, or WiFi info sheet which are uploaded to be given at check in, the way the whole interaction went it feels like this was done on purpose. I'm not even upset with not being able to check in at 1:20am, I'm upset with the attitude we received and the lack of an apology. Maybe it's because we are in our mid 20's and clearly not the average guest but really, is the customer service usually this bad??? Last time I checked you don't pay resort prices to receive motel 6 service, though to be honest, the motel 6 in Victorville has better customer service.

Yelp
Dont get me wrong. Ive been coming here for 30yrs because a childhood friend's parents had a time share. Well she is getting married and so me and my wife are going there. The reservation girl is a turd. So rude and as a matter of fact. She told me the room wont be ready until 430pm!!! So im paying 185 for 17 hours! She said..and I quote. "Omg.. well I can tell my supervisor but he will tell you the same thing" Check out is 11am but check in is 430. Wtf!!!! She actually said that most guests stay 2 nights. I will NEVER EVER STAY THERE UNLESS ITS ABSOLUTELY POSITIVELY A NECESSITY. Airbnb folks. Check my reviews.. im a lenient a fair reviewer.

Yelp
The BEST brunch and breakfast! Whoa. Lobster eggs Benedict. So tasty!! We totally oinked out and loved every minute of it! Beautiful setting, has valet parking, and love the mix of clientele.
