"Blending whimsy with indulgence, the Palm Springs Yacht Club (PSYC) is the hotel’s luxurious spa, featuring an indoor pool, hot tub, cold plunge, steam rooms, saunas and a nautically themed relaxation area where attendants greet guests with a hearty “Ahoy!”; the expansive menu spans essential‑oil rain massages to slimming seaweed body wraps across 17 treatment rooms." - Derrik J. Jaclyn (Jackie) was amazing!!!! She is the best aesthetician! I left my facial feeling so beautiful and relaxed! My skin was glowing!!! I’ll definitely be back! 💗 Luis was also the most professional and kindest man! He made my spa experience truly memorable with his service as soon as I entered the spa doors! He toured my friend and I in the spa and provided the outstanding service! Thank you so much!

Google
Be carefull this is a 100 % scam. We are from Canada and when we book a couple massage with the receptionist for 75 minutes we ask her 2 things that was really important for us and she lies to us all the way. Here’s the 2 questions…. 1- we ask her that if we were doing a massage, are we gona have access to the outside facilities. ( like the exterior pool, drink and restaurant) The receptionist said of course, yes. But it’s not the case, when we arrived there, we didn’t have access to exterior pool, any bar and any restaurant to spend the day. What a big disappointment, to have access to the pool, they want us to rent a hotel room for a night !!! That’s so ridiculous. 2- we also asked the receptionist if the $ 340 each person was in Canadian money for a total of 680$ Canadian …. Her awnser was, yes it’s in Canadian Money. She lies again, when it was the time to pay, we were very surprise to be charged $ 680 US. In Canadian, it’s 987$. That’s so ridiculous. Don’t get me wrong the massage we received was very good but the lies and the Tactics that the Spa use to make us booked at their place is horrible. So be carefull Canadian peoples before booking a spa there because you can be sure that’s we will never booked any rooms, any massage or any services at their place. NEVER NEVER NEVER GOING THERE AGAIN !!!

Had the ultimate relaxation day at Palm Springs Yacht Club! 🌴 Full-body massage, rejuvenating facial, cold plunge, and a soak in the jacuzzi. Sipped champagne and enjoyed a delicious lunch to top it off. Pure bliss! 🍾💆‍♂️ #RelaxationGoals #PalmSpringsYachtClub

Such a fun kitschy spa! I appreciated the theme, which was carried out across every aspect. The indoor pool area is steamy and not very refreshing, but other than that, this place was amazing. Massage therapist Tanya was incredible. A true pro! I hope to return to this spa one day, and I will absolutely be requesting her. The rest of the staff was also kind and welcoming, especially Emily who helped us around the pool and locker rooms.

We had the most incredible couples massage at PSYC from Angie and Penelope!! I can't begin to describe how thankful we are for the experience! I had a more classic massage with Penelope and she listened carefully to my needs and gave me the best massage. My partner was with Angie and shortly in to the massage she adjusted her style to more facilitated stretching. My partner had nothing short of a life changing experience. Due to previous injuries he is in constant pain and left that massage with more mobility than he had had in years. The entire experience was worth every penny and that doesn't even include the beautiful spa pool area you can enjoy!

Google
I had THE best massage with Tonia. I have been carrying a lot of stress and trauma in my body and muscles and she was able to work through all of the tightness. She was so sweet, I would come back often if I lived in the area!

This spa saved our vacation! We came to Palm Springs to see Frank Ocean for my birthday at Coachella. He dropped out, and it turns out my husband and I can’t hack it at festivals that are in the desert sun all day. The hotel we stayed at wasn’t our cup of tea. We just wanted to do something quiet, relaxing, and cute to recuperate from our pervious day walking 30k steps in the hot sun. We thought we’d give PSYC a try. We’re members at The Standard Spa in Miami so we know a good spa, and this one definitely impressed us! We came as walk in’s and they seamlessly accommodated us for facials. I wish I had the name of the woman at the front desk who worked it out. She was so helpful! We got a lovely tour from Cody and then went in for our facials. My esthetician was so sweet and obviously very talented! I have eczema on my face and she expertly worked with it. She even offered to take a picture of my husband and I post service in the gorgeous pool house. I started the day in a pretty foul mood from being exhausted from the previous day, but the beauty of the property and the sincere kindness of the staff made such a huge difference for me. We loved it so much we booked a massage for the next day! Once we checked out, Cody, who is just the sweetest and clearly loves his job, gave us some stellar recommendations for dinner. I am so grateful for our experience today. Everyone we encountered at Parker and PSYC was delightful. A hotel can be gorgeous like Parker and still fall flat if the staff is indifferent but Parker and PSYC really goes to show that you love a hotel that loves you back! So excited to go for my birthday massage tomorrow!!!!!!!! THANK YOU CODY AND THANK YOU PSYC!!!!!!

Google
The Spa was absolutely amazing!! Sam was my masseuse I enjoyed every second of my 60 minute couples massage! I was very relaxed and comfortable. I was greeted with a cucumber vodka shot followed with glasses of champagne after my massage. The ambience and decor was breathtaking. I will definitely come back for five star service thank you guys for this beautiful experience on my anniversary!

Yelp
Pull up to front and use valet. Spa is nicely decorated but aging. Treatment was excellent by Vanessa. I was disappointed a $300 service didn't allow me access to the outside pool. There is an indoor pool in the spa but I wanted to enjoy the sun. Locals get discount on service

Yelp
The massage was good, but the spa and rest of our experience was terrible. Our group of four did not receive our vodka shots as advertised and the girl who checked us in and gave us a "tour" did a poor job (I had to ask where the sauna and steam rooms were) and looked like she hated her life. I asked her for a steamer to get some wrinkles out of my dress and with a sour look on her face, she said "It's not guaranteed". I didn't ask again and just put up with the wrinkles because I know she never attempted to call housekeeping. The trash was overflowing in all of the cans, all of the toiletries were empty, and no cups for the drinking water. The ambiance was not very relaxing or welcoming. If you are looking for something zen, go somewhere else. We were looking forward to this spa and it was very disappointing. We will not be back.

Yelp
PSYC is incredible and made our 10 year wedding anniversary weekend amazing!! We have been there twice before as guests of the Parker but this time we just made reservations for PSYC only (staying elsewhere). Site was very easy to make reservations for both my wife and I. 24 hour cancellation policy is very reasonable. They even ensure that you can't miss the free cancellation by calling, texting, and emailing before the 24 hour mark to confirm. Walking from Parker front desk through the lobby to PSYC is a treat to at least get to walk a part of the grounds without being a hotel guest. Same cucumber infused vodka shot at PSYC check in!! Yum! Impeccable service. The 90 min hot stone massage was incredible. We then lounged and enjoyed the pool followed by poolside cocktails and lunch. What a great kick off to the weekend!!

Yelp
Highly recommend a massage by Carla or Rebecca. They are each immensely talented. Hot tub and sauna were fabulous, too.

Yelp
My fiancé and I got 90 minute massages here and we both agree that they're some of the best massages we've ever had! The facilities themselves were fine, I wasn't blown away by the design and decor, a little cheesy. The sauna got the job done, but the steam room was out of order so I was unable to try that. The ladies at the front desk were lovely and very welcoming!

Yelp
We loved our day at the PSYC - and I'm pretty sure we saw Jason Schwartzman there, which was pretty fitting since the whole indoor pool area looks like it is straight out of a Wes Anderson movie. Five stars for the facilities: we loved the decor, the fantastic locker rooms and showers, and the overall vibe of the treatment rooms. Wonderful towels, robes and products. Five stars for the massages: We had four 60 min massages and we all loved them. Relaxing, quiet treatment rooms, skilled technicians, good products and aromatherapy - just perfect. We should have just stuck to that: massages, steam and sauna, showers, champagne! But, we decided to add mani/pedis to this and that was probably a mistake. I think the nail salon is 3 stars at best. We are all so spoiled by top-of-the-line mani/pedis that are affordable, fast and technically perfect, we forget that these little tucked away spas don't crank out the mani/pedis. I also didn't see very many safety/health procedures like I'm used to. For example, I didn't see any great steps taken to use perfectly clean tools (didn't see them come out of an autoclave), they didn't do much to clean out the sink between two of us. We are family so I wasn't super freaked out, but my mani/pedi place at home uses a liner inside the pedi sink and a propeller so you're not actually ever touching the bowl and there are no pipes or drains that can harbor germs from the previous guests. They used a callus remover product that was too harsh and I still have a small chemical burn on the top of my foot from it. Finally, the nail polish I selected was old and gloopy, but the tech didn't switch gears, she just powered through, which meant that my mani didn't look good, didn't dry well, and didn't last. The chairs are also definitely form over function and I've never sat in a less comfortable pedi chair. Like everything at PSYC they look so pleasing, but they were not soft and did not recline. All of that to say - we didn't need to mani pedi here. The massages got us into the facilities, and everything else was perfect. We would have loved every single aspect of it if we had just skipped that. Still very much a good experience and highly recommend!

Yelp
You know your spa visit is going to be different when at check-in you're offered a cucumber-infused vodka shot. (Note to self: pay closer attention when agreeing to cucumber clear liquid. Haha!). They got my attention! So the PSYC (Palm Springs Yacht Club) is the spa at the Parker Hotel. Pros: -waiting area has a Moroccan tent -lounge chairs by indoor pool w/iPads -food & drink service -2 indoor hot tubs -wonderful hydrating facial -empty by day (just the way I like it) -secluded patio you can lunch -choice of music during treatment (Mozart, Chopin, jazz, etc) -staff is friendly & helpful Cons: -busier in early evening -showers are unremarkable -pricey Final note: hotel guests can use spa facilities for free

Yelp
I got a pregnancy massage and pregnancy facial. The massage was awful. They don't have the tables with a belly cutout so they have a body pillow for you to lay on your side which I think is just unacceptable for a pregnancy massage. The masseuse didn't focus on the areas that I had specified even though he confirmed that I specified them before starting the massage. And he had terribly rough sandpaper hands which is very odd for a masseuse. The pregnancy facial was fantastic. She was appropriately gentle and pointed out the gentle products she was using because of my pregnancy. She asked about pressure several times throughout. She spent extra time on the areas I specified. The chair/table was very comfortable. The attendant when i was paying at the end got a manager to do a 20% discount on the massage since I was unhappy but honestly, I don't feel like it was enough. For a $200 massage, I felt like I had moderate expectations but they weren't met at all and 20% seems like an insult to that. Just my opinion.

Yelp
This was the one of the worst spas I've ever been to. Way over rated. The massage was great, but the ambiance--loud rock music--and the run-down furniture and small indoor pool were very disappointing. I expected restful zen-type music, healthy food, and a setting conducive to relaxation. Instead, the push was vodka shots and dim lighting, too dim to read a book. If you go, you can expect a great massage, but don't expect the ambiance that will extend the relaxation beyond the massage.

Yelp
Not happy with this place at all. My wife made an appointment for a couples massage for us by calling and speaking to one of their employees. She set the date and time and they told her she was confirmed. So we show up on that date and time and they tell us we're not on the books (rudely). Then I push them to look for our names and they discover that they accidentally booked us for 4 hours earlier that day and we were considered a no-show. This would have been not that big of a deal as we could chalk it up to an honest mistake on their part BUT they proceeded to then blame us and deny they made a mistake. The manager was very adamant that it was not a mistake on their part and said "Well we don't know if you would make it up or not." Why would we make it up and purposefully show up at the wrong time?? It gets worse... Not only did we not get our rightful appointment but they told us they were going to CHARGE US for the no show! Which they did and we are now disputing it with our credit card. Their argument was that they sent us an email that showed the wrong time and it was our responsibility to catch their mistake. I disagree wholeheartedly. Not the proper way to handle customers. Definitely the fault of bad management.

Yelp
One of the most relaxing spas I have been too. When you walk in the Jonathan Adler design is so grand yet simple. A front desk with two smiling and pleasant employees greets you. Behind them a floor to ceiling, 20+ foot tall deep navy blue curtain absorbs light and set me at ease. Once they check you in, the offer you a cucumber vodka shot to help you was into a relaxed state of mind. While you wait for your appointment you have access to the indoor pool and lounge area with cabanas, magazines, and water with fresh fruit. I had a pedi with Cindy and she was absolutely amazing. She was calming and relaxing. I got to know her during my pedi and she was very funny. I enjoyed talking with her and getting to know her. After my pedi I was able to stay within the spa and relax. I highly recommend the PSYC!!

Yelp
This was the worst spa experience I've ever had. My husband booked a spa day for me for our 10 year anniversary. Let's start with the booking which I found out later he called twice and left messages and then finally went into the spa personally to book because he never got a call back. Then apparently they said they can only ship gift cards and not give one in person, so he wrote out my gift card to me. Weird. The minimal staff had no idea what they were doing. The steam room was out of service (even though they mentioned it was an amenity when my husband made my appointment 2 days prior). There were stains on the torn up furniture and carpets. There were even crumpled dirty magazines dated from February when the spa reopened in March. Gross. I have photos. The person up front offered me a shot of vodka at entrance- weird. Who wants vodka before entering a spa? How about a nice glass of champagne? Then she said they had a full menu. There was no one in the sitting/pool area to take orders. FYI the menus had crusted food on them. I had to go to the front desk in my robe to order. Then the drink came with an $8 room service delivery fee and someone else's name on the bill. So I had to go up front again to clear up that issue. I think it's a bit much to pay $34 for an aperol sprintz, but maybe that's just me. Then they brought me an amended bill and said I needed to pay with a card and cannot charge the one on file. So I guess I have to go to my locker to get a credit card because obviously you don't carry your wallet with you around a spa. This is so relaxing. Oh speaking of my locker, the key would jam, chipped paint on the outside, and bonus! someone's hair left behind. Gross There were obnoxious people talking on their phones on speaker and no signage to say this isn't permissible. Sorry but people need to be reminded not to be rude. Ok onto the spa treatments. I was shocked when a male masseur came to take me to my appointment. They didn't ask my husband if I had a preference (which I do) and it was extremely uncomfortable. I'm pretty shocked by this one. Spas ALWAYS ask if you want a male or female technician. Not this one. He told me I was booked for a 50 minute massage, which was decent. Then I had a nice facial afterwards. I didn't know it until I was checking out, but my massage was supposed to be 60 minutes. Even the technician didn't know this. They gave me 10% off because of it. The person up front didn't know if the massage was supposed to be 50 minutes or 60 minutes. She had to go ask her manager. Speaking of managers, I couldn't believe one existed. The spa is so poorly run, understaffed with untrained skeletal staff, dirty, and unprofessional. I was sad to give them $600 for my few hours there. Speaking of, they gave me a receipt when my husband told them it was a gift and to not do that. So there's another error. Btw, I planned to give this review privately over the survey email we received, but when I clicked on it, it said it had expired (same day). I guess they don't want to know what I thought. I can't blame them. If you're going to charge $250 for services and reside in what is considered the highest end hotel in the town (debatable), then the level of service should reflect this. It was really disappointing and made the experience really unenjoyable and upsetting. Avoid this place. Save your money and go to the Ritz Carlton or to Organic Glow in Palm Springs for a facial. This place is terrible. Shameful.

Yelp
One of the most relaxing and luxurious experiences i've had in my life. From the walk through the Parker to get to the spa, to the complimentary cucumber-infused vodka shot(....s) - we were all impressed and excited. We were in town celebrating a friend who is getting married soon and the 6 of us had an absolutely amazing experience. We all had custom hour-long massages. I had Jerry as my massage therapist - who was fantastic. He was personable, friendly, strong, and extremely considerate and accommodating any requests or tweaks I had during the session. I left feeling relaxed, refreshed, and at ease. We spent the rest of the afternoon lounging by the indoor pool - enjoying amazing drinks (hello Cucumber Kale Moscow Mule!!) and delicious food (a beautiful Ahi Tuna Cobb Salad) - and just enjoying our time together. When it came time to leave, I took a wonderful shower (private, lockable stalls) and enjoyed all of the amenities of the locker room (complimentary toothbrushes, razors, lotion, etc.). The space is beautiful, the staff is incredible accommodating and welcoming, and the entire experience was truly a special way to spend an afternoon.

Yelp
This place is amazing and love all the decor. I had the best facial ever by Sylvia. I highly recommend her. After we had lunch at Norma's so delicious.
google avatar

Aaron M.

Yelp
Amazing customer service. We had a little bit of a hiccup with the appointment we had booked, but PSYC went way above and beyond to make everything right. Could not have asked for a better overall experience.
google avatar

Nora F.

Yelp
The beat Palm Springs girls day! We started our massages after an awesome brunch at Norma's and a short walk through the garden. The pool area is welcoming and stylish. The treatment was amazing and the service was tops. Other than old locker keys and a shower head that needed replacing - it was truly perfect.

Liza S.

Yelp
I got a facial on Sunday and the service was great, but afterwards I had a bad reaction. The manager Christie was oddly cagey about admitting any kind of responsibility whatsoever, beyond offering me 20% off my next service. It left a bad taste in my mouth after a really wonderful visit to the Parker generally where the service was generally impeccable and the staff was helpful.
google avatar

Michael W.

Yelp
The setting is beyond fabulous, but the massage I received left much to be desired. It was the equivalent of jack rabbit sex, so fast and with little consideration for my own experience or requests. I'd ask the therapist to focus on my trapezius and rhomboid and he'd drive his forearm into my spine and shoulder blade instead of the muscles. I've been receiving massage on a monthly basis for over 8 years and this was one of the worst I've ever received. It was also one of the most expensive (about $220 for 60 min) which was upsetting to say the least. Massage aside, the spa itself was beautiful and I did appreciate the aromatherapy and personalized music selection. I really wish I loved the experience because I'm in PS often and would have loved to make this beautiful setting a frequent oasis in the the desert.

Yelp
Terrible customer service! I booked a same day appointment for a friend and I on their website (https://www.parkerpalmsprings.com/palm-springs-yacht-club) for two body treatments. I received a confirmation text and email for our appointments. A short time later I received a call letting me know that they would not honor our appointments because we were not hotel guests. I asked why it didn't say that on their website and was allowed to book it online. She said she didn't know. Then when I said what difference did it make if there's availability and she proceeded to lie and say the spots were taken already by hotel guests. Absolutely ridiculous! Don't waste your time or money here. There are plenty of nice spas in the area.

Yelp
One name. Ali. I am a massage connoisseur and I have to say that Ali at the spa PSYC at The Parker has given me the best massages of my life. She is really personable, very intuitive and a master of her craft! Her massages have me wishing I could be her sugar daddy! $$ Great job Ali!

Yelp
Absolute nightmare experience. First- I never leave bad reviews but I have no choice here. They stole $390 from us. My wife and I booked a couples massage for the next day. We told the spa at the time of booking it was our wedding weekend. We checked in early and were greeted by rude staff. We came back about an hour before our treatment and were told that they were overbooked because of "walk ins" and that we had to accept two individual massages from two males. So rather than having a normal romantic couples massage they told us we had no choice but to accept their alternative. Rather than behaving like normal humans they decided they would keep the entire cost for the service ($390). They could have just said sorry, offered an alternative and handled it like any low functioning business but they decided to essentially rob us of $390. They said they didn't have to refund the money bc of an iron clad 24 hour cancellation policy. They interpreted their policy to mean they can screw your over and change what you purchased and you just have to take it. Shameful behavior. Just go some place else- there are plenty of other trendy hotels in Palm Springs. We ended up getting a treatment and staying at L'Horizon and it was great.

Yelp
Had a massage yesterday at the PSYC. We are in Palm Springs for Mother's Day and wanted to treat myself. It was a very underwhelming experience. The facilities look like they could have been really cool once, but they have definitely not been kept up. Upon arrival the front desk staff quickly ushered me to the locker room. I was really confused about where everything was located and the tour they gave me consisted of a guy pointing at a few doors and acting put out that he had to show me around. Once I went back to the locker rooms I noticed that the room was trashed. All the toilets were clogged and overflowing with feminine products. Trash cans were also overflowing, and there were no spa shoes in my locker. I got changed into my robe and went out to the pool area. There was trash everywhere. Fruit peels and empty cups littered the tables. It looks like at one point they had a bar with a bartender back there, but it was vacant. The main pool and one hot tub had turned green (i'm assuming they hadn't been treated in awhile) and the whole place just felt kind of dirty. Once I went back to my massage I noticed that it was really loud and I kept hearing people talking during my service. The worst part by far was that the wall to my room must have been shared with the men's locker room because I could hear toilets flushing and people using the restroom throughout my entire service! The massage tables just had a scratchy towel over them so it wasn't comfortable or relaxing at all (not to mention the toilets flushing every 5 minutes). I spent $320 on this massage and I feel like I could have had a much more relaxing experience at a Massage Envy (for 1/4 of the price). The only reason i'm giving this a 2 star review is because the massage therapist was so nice.

Yelp
Patricia was a breath of fresh air today when I went in to the spa! She was professional and made me feel very comfortable. Thank you!!

Yelp
I came to the Parker with my husband for our anniversary and the PSYC spa is really not to be missed! I had an amazing Thai inspired massage with Jennifer R. - request her she was wonderful! PSYC is a gorgeous spa with a great sauna, yoga, awesome hot tub and great services! Well worth the price!

Shalini R.

Yelp
I stayed at the Parker and the spa (PSYC) was a true delight. With exceptional service and friendly staff, I could not ask for a better or more fulfilling experience. The packages are amazing and best of all, reasonably priced. My personal favorite is the Vanilla Sundae which takes care of all my beauty needs and leaves me feeling revived.

Stefon M.

Yelp
Wonderful experience here. The inside is unbelievably beautiful and incredibly clean. I felt like I was in Morocco! On to the massage I had, it was great. I have seriously never had a better massage anywhere else. The masseuse was able to deal with trouble spots without hurting me! Who doesn't want that?

Karen K.

Yelp
Highly disappointed. The spa was empty which would usually be a nice relaxing experience, instead it was cold, echoing and uncomfortable. The large open space had lots of seating, not particularly comfortable and I found myself trying to relax inside on an outdoor style couch. The wifi was not working, there was no music and when I asked where the magazines were (the hotel had told me that the spa had "lots" of magazines) I was told there were none. I cut out an extra hour before my massage to relax in the spa and instead of relaxing outside by the pool. I ended up stuck inside where the salt water pool was cold and the hot tub had mildew around the sides. I had no music or wifi and had not brought a thing to read since I had planned to indulge myself with trashy magazines. I sat for an hour on a hard pillow sofa in the corner while trying to charge my phone with the only working outlet I could find. This was an extreme indulgence for me in both time and money (full time single working mom with a couple of free hours and little extra money to spend) and I have to say I'm pretty disappointed about the experience.

Yelp
Just got back from The Parker, and an awesome massage and pedicure at PSYC. The staff were super helpful and friendly, even more so when they offer you some cucumber vodka in the lobby. My masseuse Kimberly was awesome - sweet, listened to my pains, and even offered some advice as to what I should be looking out for to avoid pains in the future. Angie, my pedicurist, was equally as great, and truly unearthed a new pair of feet for me. Overall, PSYC really upped my already glam stay at the Parker - don't miss it if you visit Palm Springs!
