We were very happy with our stay at Palmaroga. The service was excellent and the staff attentive throughout. The hotel blends modern amenities with historic charm — the courtyard is especially beautiful, framed by elegant arches and filled with light, making it a perfect spot to relax. Our room was comfortable and well-furnished, and the decor and furniture across the property give it a stylish, welcoming feel. Breakfast was very good, with plenty of variety and quality. The hotel sits in the heart of central Asunción, which overall may not be quite as vibrant or polished as one might hope for, but Palmaroga itself is a gem — and its street is among the best in the area (relatively speaking). Overall, a great choice in Asunción — both comfortable and memorable.

I stayed at this hotel for 6 nights and some of my clothes from my luggage went missing. Is a matter of fact a lot of my clothes. My green lands end dress. My Eileen Fisher long sleeve black shirt. Two pairs of pants. And my swimsuit. I think someone went into my room and was interested in my valuables. I always lock my money bag in the safe with a lock on the money back and two locks to enter the closet to enter the safe so it's hard to steal money from me. Came up missing so many things and they refuse to let me speak to the manager. Breakfast leaves a lot to be desired here in this breakfast staff has it crummy attitude. They burnt my omelet one day and if you want something hot they just stick it in the microwave. There answer the hot food is a microwave. Swimming pool is not heated so I was only able to use it one day and it's only 3 ft deep. The room was slightly grunchy also there was so much dust under the bed that it kicked up my asthma. I would stay here again but make sure you lock your luggage so none of your possessions get stolen. I was missing so many things that my bag was actually 2 kilos lighter than when I came in. Nothing was done imagine if I wouldn't have left my money locked?

AC was great, WiFi was great. Room was large and very comfortable as well as clean. Fridge in room…staff spoke english and were very helpful. Only complaint is that breakfast buffet could have used some more items….great location. $8 Uber ride from airport.

We stayed here for 3 nights. Our room was on the historic first floor and we loved all the architectural elements including the original tile floors. The location was great and the staff were so friendly and helpful. I would stay here again enthusiastically!

This hotel is very close to being perfect and I would certainly stay again. I tried to communicate prior to my stay via the email address listed on the website but unfortunately they went ignored. On arrival it was busy but the staff were welcoming, and they worked hard to prepare a room as soon as possible for my early arrival. The lobby is beautiful with some decent seating and plenty of reading material to help pass time if you need. The hotel is as beautiful from the outside and in a brilliant location - a short walk to all the key sights and surrounded by great restaurants. ||My room was on the first floor, reached by two of the slowest elevators ever, but it was seriously impressive. Large and modern, with four poster bed, living area and all the amenities and facilities you could want. Electric sockets were at both sides of the bed along with control for the decent lighting, air-conditioning was effective without being noisy and the drink facilities were of a good quality. The only issue with the room I could mentioned is the mini bar could perhaps have been stocked better with drinks.||The bathroom was equally as impressive - dual sinks, toilet and bidet, nice toiletries and spacious pleasant shower. Everywhere was spotlessly clean, robe and slippers were provided and there were plenty of towels too.||One highlight of the room was the small balcony overlooking the street outside. It wasn’t large enough to sit out on, but stood watching the world pass by was delightful and also a great way to get some warm fresh air into the room!||The rooftop pool is a great space with wonderful views across the city. There’s loungers, towels are provided and there’s a good number of general tables too. It’s a shame that there’s no bar service present but there are showers and toilet facilities. There’s a couple of restaurants on the ground floor which I didn’t sample for food, but despite being quiet late one evening it was a shame they didn’t allow a drink-only order, instead pointing me to the ‘cafe’ which wasn’t as relaxing as I was hoping.||Overall it was a very comfortable hotel in the perfect location, and I’d certainly stay again. With a few improvements to the softer service it’d be perfect but I’d still highly recommend.

This hotel is a perfect hideaway after exploring Asuncion. It's modern, the dining areas are nice, a complete menu, nice atmosphere. The surrounding areas in old/historic area are not very clean, in fact, rather run down and dirty, so this is the best place to getaway.

It was a very nice hotel sits in the historical area of Asuncion. I adorn the receptionist, Marcos and Oliver, always smiling and open the doors for you when you are in and out. I accidentally left something in the room after I checked out and they work diligently and help me to find it. It’s a hotel that I’ll be sure to come back to Asunción next time.

I stayed here 2x2 nights in the same 4th floor room. The building, exterior and interior is attractive, the room was a good size, nice decor, aircon and wifi worked well. From the 4th floor you can hear street traffic and noise, especially when a Saturday night local fiesta is on. The room had a kettle but oddly the only socket it fitted was in the bathroom where it tended to cut out. There was no sink plug or complimentary water in the room and the toiletries were minimal and not replenished. The breakfast buffet was good quality, not much hot food but a fair choice. Of the hotel breakfasts I had in Paraguay, this was the best but it does not match buffets in equivalent hotels in other capital cities. The "gym" is a very small room with no natural light, a few bikes and running machines, a swiss ball that needs blowing up, 5 sets of dumbells and some mats. It is neither well equipped nor a pleasant space to exercise. There are nice sunrise/sunset views from the upper pool/terrace but the pool is small, there were no towels when I was up there and the seating is not comfortable. More could easily be made of the space. Staff were friendly and helpful. For exchanging money they recommended Cambio Chaco not far away. Location wise this is a good choice to walk to Asuncion's sights, plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby.
