Palmers Lodge Hostel

This place is nice and clean. The best is the front desk person. Not sure if she is the owner. But she was really nice person. The location is near both train and central bus stations. Also very close to both Sheraton and Canopy by Hilton. With that, there is some traffic near the property. It has kitchen to use. It is a nice place in city central and at good price.

My friend and I stayed in this hostel around late August ..We weren't very happy with the room given to us. We got the part in 6 bed dormitory in the lower part of the building, the room stank incredibly of urin, and the noise from the trams and people on the street talking until early hours made it impossible to sleep.. The bathroom too felt like it could have used a good desinfection, but the doors could be locked and it felt quite safe so..not to bad for this type of hostel all in all..Cheers!

Lovely environment and lovely reception staff. However I do have to point out I did ring in advanced and a girl named Ellie answered she seemed quite hostile and busy on the mobile phone discussing a personal matter, this felt quite unprofessional as I was enquiring for a potential stay and she seemed too busy to answer my queries. Alongside while enquiring I'm not sure if this was the lobby music but I could hear some profane music playing in the back ground as I called.

Walking far from city center. Have parking right in front of the hostal building but you need a card provided by hostel so you have to stop somewhere (not easy) and ask for It. Rooms are under main flor, like a cellar. Breakfast "included" a pot to boil watter and ad filter coffee. Not food or anything else. Urbantrain rail pass room Windows so a bit noisy night. Recepcionist kind and give some recomendations to go.

The location is fairly good as it is located right on the tram line and is walkable distance to many food shops. However the hostel itself I found to smell a little musty and the washrooms felt like they could have a good deep clean. I would stay here again though. It was nice enough for what we paid.

It was very conveniently located within walking distance from the bus and train station. The room was clean with individual heating. The staff were amazing and helped me out in many ways(their service levels the service of a 5 star hotel). Clean towel is provided with no extra charge. The only downside was the sound of tram at night but, unless you are a very light sleeper, it wouldn't bother you too much.

The rooms are directly next to a big street with trams and cars passing all night long. I don't have a light sleep. But that was just way to loud.... Couldn't sleep woke up all the time because of the tram or people passing outside. The rooms are really nice and clean with good modern bathrooms. The staff is very friendly too.

Great location very close to everything Staff where extremely friendly and accommodating did our washing for us quite cheap Sleeping area was comfortable and quiet 10/10 would stay again
