Palms City Resort

Wonderful three days in a garden bungalow next to the pool. Well équipes with plates, bowls, cutlery etc and a small electric BBQ. Large TV, good shower, Co fly beds. We had a fab stay. Location is great, near shops like Coles and a very good ladies fashion store and just a few steps for the Deckchair cinema and not much further to the bus hub (free buses throughout Darwin). We loved it and had a super time. Great staff too. Highly recommended.

We stayed for two nights in an Ocean View villa. Although we couldn’t see the ocean, the room was pleasant enough, the airconditioning was efficient and the tropical greenery was appreciated. A BBQ on the verandah was a welcome addition and there were all the small kitchen necessities required for simple cooking. We had the buffet breakfast one morning which was adequate. We enjoyed cooling off in the pool and having a glass of wine during happy hour whilst listening to birdsong. The young staff on the front desk are enthusiastic and helpful. This hotel was a good choice for our two night pre-cruise stay in Darwin. It’s not glamorous, but it is quite relaxing if you are looking for something different to the standard hotel offering.

We were so impressed with this hotel on a recent holiday in July. Do not stay anywhere else! This place is perfect! We’ve stayed at bigger brands and dearer prices in Darwin but never again. This place is spotless. I thought it had been recently renovated it was so clean. Renovated 2 years ago. The gardens are beautiful and lush an oasis from the heat. Location amazing, staff amazing, best value buffet breakfast anywhere. Wish we’d stayed longer. We will only ever stay here now. Pickles the parrot in reception is a nice touch and kept my kids entertained. Thanks so much.

Reception staff could be more helpful, having to wait while they finish chatting amongst themselves isn't great service; 3 counter staff but no rush to address customers. We also asked to leave bag in reception prior to check in, only to be told they don't offer that service. Bungalow rooms nice; clean and location fantastic.Grounds well kept and staff you pass are friendly.

We often stay at palms city, it’s like a little oasis in the middle of Darwin city. Great facilities, clean rooms and a beautiful pool. Also has secure off street parking which is a huge bonus.

Wonderful place to stay while in Darwin. Great customer service and the darling parrot Pickles at the front desk was such a delight. Room had all the amenities and was comfortable. Breakfast buffet was delicious, and drinks by the pool were great! Location was walkable to multiple areas. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks to all the friendly staff!

Good location, convenient. Excellent air conditioning which is so important in Darwin. The staff were helpful, the housekeeping staff were professional and kind.The location of the pool was great and well protected from wind.|The room format was unusual and certainly not user friendly but had the necessary items.

Staff, particularly reception are wonderful. |Resort is in such a great location walking distance to lots of restaurants and into town. The gardens are beautiful and rooms comfortable and clean. |We did 4 nights and it was a great base to explore Darwin.
