4 Best Day Trips from Seattle | Condé Nast Traveler

"This charming family winery—run by a self-proclaimed garagiste (a term harkening back to French vintners who literally made wine in their garages and basements)—attracts small groups of friends and couples who are looking to spend the day in the fresh air while tasting their way through some of Washington's best wines. Sip through cabernet sauvignon, merlot, cabernet franc, malbec, and semillon while overlooking the serene vineyards." - Jenna Scatena, Allison Williams

Google
Had the best time doing a wine tasting here. Came here on a Saturday with my 1 and 3 year old. I was pleasantly surprised that the hostess handed us chalk for my kids to play while my husband and I did a wine tasting. It was pretty empty in the tasting area in the front so my girls were able to run around and play with a ball and the chalk and not annoy anyone. The backyard tasting area looked gorgeous as well. It was refreshing to feel so accommodated as a family because in the PNW, it doesn’t always feel that way at businesses. The wines were great too! Would highly recommend a stop here.

I have loved Palouse wines for nearly 20 years! And visiting the tasting room and property on Vashon Island is always a treat. Founders George & Linda make you feel so welcome, and both the indoor tasting room and outdoor patios are such a wonderful atmosphere. The location is very close to the north end ferry dock (Seattle end of island), so super easy to take a beautiful scenic ferry ride over and visit! Wine club members are treated very special with free tastings, a special patio with a view, discounted pricing on wines and cases, and invites to the special dinners! BUT THE WINE IS THE BEST PART. I still have yet to find deep red blends quite as delicious as the Black Pearl and the Eclipse. The Merlot in a wonderful! Love these wines.

Google
What a pleasant setting and lovely wines.new enjoyed a tasting flight seated under a shady umbrella on a quiet Friday afternoon in April. I’m not usually a lover of Chardonnay, but this one got me. Also loved the Merlot and red blend. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Come here and sit in the beautiful garden on a sunny afternoon.

Google
Welcoming to families! Great staff, lots of delicious options, knowledgeable team that really spoke to the care and process for the wines they create and offer. Absolutely worth a visit if coming to the area!

Google
Was mislead (and only given this information when we asked). Need to apparently purchase 2 bottles of wine to cover one tasting (which is super pricey at $30 or 35). Perhaps I'm spoiled by living by Woodinville where a bottle purchase of a certain amount covers a tasting. I can understand times are tough and the tourist crowd is dispensable to you but left a negative impression on me. Most wineries we visit are small family facilities. If we were told 2 bottles cover one tasting we would have stuck with one but our pourer said 2 bottles will cover the tastings. Like to support small businesses but when I feel ripped off, won't ever go back.

Google
We loved this classy winery on the north end of Vashon Island. There is a lovely indoor/outdoor tasting room and a members-only garden area. Most importantly, they have an interesting collection of wines; I definitely recommend the "extended" tasting menu. The ladies handling the pouring on this lovely October day were very friendly and informative. Looking forward to the next visit! Olympic Otter

Google
Amazing wine in an unassuming place. Talk about making the most of a location. What comes off as someone’s home and garage turns into being a winery worth going out of your way on a to catch a ferry from Tacoma.

Ian Hogan

Google
We came out to Vashon on an absolutely beautiful day and stopped randomly at the palouse winery for a tasting. It has a super home spun and local feel. You are literally doing the tasting in a garage and the patio is the driveway of the winemakers house. We had a great time learning about the different wines being made on the island. The staff was very friendly and it was a great stop t start our Vashon tour. $15 for the tasting is great for what you get. Would recommend anyone to stop in for a tasting!

Jennifer W.

Yelp
Don't waste your time here. We arrived on a lovely Saturday afternoon and members only can enjoy a garden venue, while other people have to sit on a concrete driveway and drink their wine. I'd rather spend my money and time someplace that welcomes guests.

Yelp
Great spot for some good wine! Both cabs were phenomenal. Napa valley level wines here could not try the port due to low demand but next time will be a must!

Heidi B.

Yelp
Excellent wine, marvelous atmosphere, and knowledgeable service. I highly recommend this winery to those who also share a love for beautiful and delicious wine.

Yelp
TASTE THE WINES, AND JOIN THE CLUB. That's what we did. My wife and I had never been to this winery, even though we frequent Vashon Island since her parents live there. We love the wine, the friendly service, and pleasant atmosphere. The back patio is reserved for members, and THIS is the place to relax and enjoy your free tastings as club members! It's free to join, and you must purchase a few bottles of their delicious wine every year. Win-win, So come on down. Taste the wine, and join the club!

Cornelius H.

Yelp
Very chill atmosphere. Employees are friendly, well-informed and helpful to people visiting the island for the first time! Highly recommend you stop when you come to Vashon Island!

Yelp
Lovely winery on Vashon Island! This winery is on the north part of town as you go to the ferry that goes to West Seattle. I went here with family as they like to frequent wineries more than Steve and I do who likes breweries more. Most of our traveling companions got red wine but I got white here. It was simply lovely! Sampled a few other whites that I enjoyed as well. I don't think go wrong with any selection you make. Great tasting room and a very fine patio to enjoy your wine. Very pleasant in the warmer months. Not too sure how the set up is when it's cold. Parking is a little tedious as you have to park on the side of the highway since they don't have their own parking lot but traffic isn't too terrible to make it a big hassle.

Maria D.

Yelp
Nice ambiance, nice wines and nice people! And it is on Vashon island so a great plus! Recommend! There were 4 of us and we did the tasting!

Yelp
One star because the wine was good. The two women were not rude however they defiantly were not hospitable. The greeting was blah, no smiles , no "How are you today?" ect. Most of, if not all, wineries will provide a flight of wine with 4-6 small glasses for a tasting at one time , you take it to your table and discuss with your friends/family the different flavors and then decide to either buy a bottle of your favorite or a few glasses. Not at Palouse Winery! There was a total of 3 people in our party. They gave us ONE glass and we stood at counter and passed around the wine glass. Handed back to woman , she rinsed out and poured next taste, once again we passed the same glass between the 3 of us. By this time a long line was forming behind us of customers. The attendant asked if we can move to the side so she can help customers. So we took our one wine glass with our ounce in half wine and sit at table. Go back up and have to stand in line to try our 4th 'tasting ' selection. Other wineries will come to your table and pour your next taste but at this winery you had to go back and forth and stand in line for the next selection. It was so awkward. The system to taste wines and or purchase is cumbersome as noted above. They did not explain how their tasting system worked. I had to ask, if we get a flight is the fee waived if we purchase a bottle? She said "you have to purchase two bottles". One of our guest inquired about purchasing glasses as she collects wine glasses, the woman helping us said, $12.00 per glass and the manger said $16.00. Found out later that another set of non member guests bought a bottle and were given two free wine glasses. This was not even an option to us even after showing interest in buying wine glasses. Decided we wanted to stay more than our 5 minute tasting experience and purchase a glass of wine ( yes , our very own wine glass ) We asked if there was additional seating other than next to the main highway in gravel parking lot. The lady at the front said yes, in the back but for members only. Well, we weren't members and opted to stay in front since we do not live nearby and would not see much benefit of signing up. I understand why they reserve that for members, it is quite beautiful ( yes, we took a peak , wanted to see if we should become members and enjoy the scenery) At this point other than lack of customer service and having to share one glass between 3 people , I would say the winery was ok BUT this is what turned their potential 5 star to a 1. We left winery to head back to ferry. While waiting for ferry we ran in to a couple that was at the winery at the same time. They proceed to tell us how great the back yard ( members only) was. They said they bought a bottle of wine and the woman said they can sit in the back since they bought a bottle of wine, they WERE NOT members.....WAIT.... WHAT?!?! That was NEVER even mentioned to us as an option. Palouse Wines, please be consistent in your 'RULES' and treat all guests the same. We definitely did not feel welcome.

Yelp
I was driving by and saw this place so just popped in for a visit. They were very welcoming and helped me pick out a great wine. I enjoyed a glass of a very nice White wine. The scenery was relaxing and made me want to stay longer. I will definitely be back and can't wait to bring my parents here.

Yelp
TEN stars (!) to Palouse Winery -- the beauty of the grounds, their immediate hospitality, and the perfection of their wines! Bravo.

Matt T.

Yelp
So I really wanted to like this place. The ambiance is nice, the live-edge serving table is gorgeous, the owner is the wine maker, French oak barrels, owner just (spring 2018) spent a month in France... all signs pointed to a good tasting experience. Nope. The wine was fine - like a really young Boudreaux, more oak and less cherry though. The guy giving the tasting was a pretentious MF. We were not expecting the sort of snooty that you find in a Chateau-Neuf Village 200 year old wine cave. We have been to tastings in the Rhine, Mosel, Napa, Rhône, Limoux, Bordeaux, Fonton, the Loire, Tuscany, Sonoma, the Douro Valley, etc. and have only experienced this level of snooty once before (Sonoma). So this review is more about the experience than about the wine itself. The tasting was $15 each, which you are not told you can split, and then you are up sold for an advanced tasting. The Port was OK, but at $90 with a tasting and tax...? No way in blue-blazes!! I can buy THREE bottles of Ramos Pinto 12, two Vintage Taylor Floodgate for that and get delectable port not just ok port. It didn't stop after we left, we got double charged for the tasting and when my wife called, there was something odd with their accounting system that had to be verified and then we got a call back and refund two days after reporting the issue.

Andrew J.

Yelp
Host was very rude and off putting. Yelled at our group for standing out back after two minutes. This is after we asked if we could go see the rest of the property. No one was waiting on a table where we were and we were not disturbing anyone. I do not understand why this was an issue and I 100 percent do not accept her approach or how rude she was in the situation. This is not how you should treat customers if you want return business
google avatar

Pepper B.

Yelp
My husband and I drove to Vashon specifically to visit this winery. It is someone's house directly off the highway so parking was non-existant and very dangerous on the side of the road. We bought a bottle to share which was $50+. The wine and service (we ordered from the counter) were good but since we are not club members we had to sit on their patio along the highway. Terrible ambiance. Only club members were allowed in the garden. The male server was wearing worn sweatpants which is weird (and inappropriately underdressed) for a winery. I don't think it's worth a trip.
google avatar

Ss S.

Yelp
The wine was very good! Enjoyed Eclipse the most. They practiced safe COVID measures so we felt safe. We enjoyed the outdoor seating. Make sure to make reservations.
google avatar

Sarah S.

Yelp
Great winery, superb grounds and really epic wine. I really enjoyed the reisling and the eclipse. I also appreciated the live music and my kids really liked the toys in the garden. It was a live construction zone!! They ship wines and I am excited to enjoy these back home in California. Will be back in my next trip!

Yelp
I wanted to like this place but I couldn't. If you're on Vashon & looking for an activity to do, skip this place. The tastings are for $25 for very tiny pours and it was not worth it. You're essentially drinking in front of someone's garage, which is fine -- but the staff members were unnecessarily rude so it really didn't help the situation. Personally, I can't remember the last time I went out of my way to leave a review. I will not be recommending this place to friends.

Jessica D.

Yelp
Loved this winery! First time in Vashon and at a wine tasting. The wine was phenomenal This is the best wine I have ever tasted. My family enjoyed the service, the garden, and the nature setting. We had a total of 6 rounds of wine tasting. 2 white wines and 4 red wines. - It's at a house garage where they create the wine in that place only - They make new wine every year - It's only open on Saturday's and Sunday's - You can join the wine club - And there are events such as live performances! (Which are really popular)
google avatar

Ashley S.

Yelp
Beautiful scenery and the wine was great! Their lowest cost bottle was around $32 and the tasting per person was $25. A little high for my taste but the views made up for it!
google avatar

Melissa B.

Yelp
I almost don't want to leave a post because this place is so incredible and I want it to be my little secret but that's not fair! The visit here exceeded every expectation I would've had of a winery not in 'wine country'. The wine was so good and the atmosphere unrivaled and the views epic. Highly and strongly recommend a visit here.
google avatar

Rebecca P.

Yelp
Beautiful stop after the dog trials. Wine is so pleasant and the people are extra friendly. A must see when here.
google avatar

Tom T.

Yelp
Palouse is the only wine club I belong to, and for great reasons! Linda and George are the nicest people, and they make fantastic wine! I particularly like full bodied reds and they certainly know what they're doing in that realm. All their grapes are from Washington and they run most of the operation from their garage on Vashon. The wine club gets discounts on all wines and gets free delivery on 3 or 6 bottles per month. Plus wine club members get to taste for free and even bring a party of 4 to taste for free as well. There's a standard and a reds only option. Wine tastings run the full spectrum of palouse wines from reisling to petit verdot...and now a port. They are complimented with complimentary cheese, crackers and meats. The tasting room is open 12-5 every weekend.

Yelp
We were vising the island and stopped by "this place". Which may have been one of the best things to ever happen to us. Let me start by saying I'm a beer guy, I prefer beer to wine and I am ok with this. I do love wine tasting and occasionally enjoying a big bold cab with a medium-rare dead animal. You know the kind of red that has enough tannin to suck your entire face inside out. OR ANY wine made by George and Linda at Palouse. After the first visit we became members and about a year later cancelled our other wine memberships because ...well honestly why consume an inferior product? Palouse really made me rethink what I thought was "good wine". I would use this analogy: why would you want to ride some Harley that hasn't won a race or hasn't even been a relevant piece of engineering in the last 60 years if it weren't for some T-Shirt/attitude they sell, when you can ride a beautiful Ducati? The same company that currently has 4 out of the top 10 bikes in the World Cup? (Just kidding George). I hate to admit it but one of my favorites here is the Golden pearl Viognier. I know!!! A white!!! Is it even legal to like one? I say it's one of my favorites here because I can't really find a white anywhere worth speaking about and this one is definitely worth Yelping about. This is the only white I drink. George described it to me as a "red drinker's white" I couldn't agree more. I can sit here and talk all day about how good the Eclipse blend is or how amazing the 08 Cab Franc is. As we know, taste is subjective and THIS is the real reason why I love this winery, it's the people behind the wine that make this wine great! George makes wine that he and his wife Linda enjoy. They just happen to share it with others. It also just so happens that most of their wines are rated in the high 90s and it also just so happens a few of them are Double Gold winners. Wait! There's a Double Gold? If you're on Vashon on a weekend don't pass this up and do try their wines. You don't have to like them but I'm sure you'll love them.
google avatar

Haley Z.

Yelp
We tasted 7 wines for $20 today. My husband loved them all and I really liked all except the red blend. Also we each got a refreshing glass of white and sat out back with our little picnic snack. It was such a great time. Sara was super friendly and helpful in the tasting room. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Taylor D.

Yelp
We came here spontaneously while driving around Vashon- best idea ever! The wines were wonderful, the views were stunning, and the staff were so accommodating, even going as far as to dig napkins out of the depths of the house (that the winery owners live in!) so we could carry out our cheese to the deck. We spent about an hour wine tasting on the deck with our dog, and 10/10 would return. Thank you Palouse!!!
google avatar

Sarah R.

Yelp
Beautiful, cozy setting. Feels like you're at your best friends home. Views are incredible and wines are even better. Every single wine- from the whites to the reds to the rose- exceeded expectations. Artfully done and bring out flavors you didn't know you could find in each respective category (IE the viognier is described as "the red wine drinkers white". They didn't lie). Staff are knowledgeable, funny and welcoming. I would return every weekend if possible. Club membership is a helluva deal- 3 bottles a quarter. You'll want to double your order every time.
google avatar

Lauren S.

Yelp
There are a few wineries on Vashon and I'm so glad we picked this one for a tasting! We tasted 7 wines and really enjoyed all of them. We particularly loved the rosé and the pinot noir. Besides great wine, there is a gorgeous backyard to relax on with a glass of wine. We also loved that they had some charcuterie to munch on as we tasted.

Evelyn K.

Yelp
We were excited to show some out-of-town friends this winery, but unfortunately we were disappointed with the service. The lady at the front seemed like she was annoyed with us since the moment we walked up. I wouldn't recommend this place and we won't be returning.
google avatar

Chase G.

Yelp
Great little tasting room. The tasting is a great value, and the wines were plentiful. I enjoyed the Riesling the most, and the staff encouraged us to head out to the scenic backyard with a glass. We overlooked the Olympic mountains and enjoyed the patio. The tasting room had a great selection and super helpful and charming staff. It's a great stop on the island.
google avatar

Rick P.

Yelp
Great wines, wine tender and atmosphere. The space is cozy and very laid back which is nice. Sarah was very welcoming and friendly. Being more of a red fan, I really loved the Black Pearl, Red Satin and Eclipse. We were here on a cold winter day, but there are garage doors and a patio so I'd guess it would very nice in the warmer seasons. I'd definitely recommend a stop here.
google avatar

Harsh G.

Yelp
Great place to taste local wines! Friendly people. Don't hesitate to take your wine to their backyard and enjoy the view of Olympics!George took great care of us and we had a great conversation with us.

Justin G.

Yelp
The wins are Palouse Winery were fantastic. The staff was very friendly and answered all of our questions about the wines. The tasting was great and included 7 different wines! This is a great place to check out when you are on Vashon Island.
google avatar

mcbealer X.

Yelp
Wonderful stop while visiting Vashon Island. The shiny red door welcomes you and sets the mood in the small intimate tasting room. $10 for a tasting of 2 whites and 5 reds. The gems were: Black Pearl Petite Syrah which won Double Gold (2015) (2909) and Silver (2006) $50 per bottle Red Satin Cabernet Sauvignon which won Silver (2015), Gold (2014) at both Seattle Wine and Olympia Food & Wine and a Bronze (2013) Seattle Wine. $35 per bottle Ask for Sarah, she's knowledgeable and very witty! Cheers!
google avatar

Daniel Q.

Yelp
Nice little place close by the ferry. So it's good for a stop before or after your ferry ride. The people working here seems friendly and their wine selection is pretty good.
google avatar

Kara C.

Yelp
I was recently on Vashon with a couple of girlfriends who wanted to do some wine tasting. I decided to give Palouse a shot since it had been almost a year since my last visit. We had a really nice time. Make sure to try the Tempranillo if they have it when you're there!
google avatar

April C.

Yelp
Fantastic little winery just up the road from the ferry dock (how convenient). It's actually someone's converted garage but it's done very tastefully. They offer quite a few varietals and you are sure to fall in love with at least one. Personally? Three. Their merlot is one of the best I've tasted in a long time. The VIOGNIER is very nice, but the Malbec, in my opinion, is their best offering. Their port is very popular and the Chardonnay is very creamy. Stop by for a tasting and decide for yourself. They do offer shipping and also have a membership to help reduce the prices. They are not the cheapest wines but I like the idea of supporting local businesses and the wine is top notch.
google avatar

Vinnie C.

Yelp
Wonderful open air environment. Laid back tasting room with pleasant service. The back sitting area had a gorgeous view of the mountains in July. The Riesling (Cloud Nine) was hands down our favorite.
google avatar

Rachel J.

Yelp
Great winery. Delicious blends of wine. Reasonably priced tasting and beautiful area! Highly recommend!!!
google avatar

Kristin S.

Yelp
Fun wine stop on our day trip to Vashon island! Love that they are dog friendly...and newborn friendly. The backyard was lovely to sit and sip our wines on while taking in the goregous view.
google avatar

Dale G.

Yelp
From the moment you walk in until the moment you leave you are in such a lovely atmosphere to taste these exeptional wines, handcrafted by the owners, who are charming . Never rushed and you can ask them questions directly about their wines. Their Portage Port is like nothing I've ever tried. Supple and rich and very sexy! Their Zinfandel, Z Spot is described by my hubby as a party in your mouth and I must agree. I wasn't surprised to see all of the award plaques on the wall. Join the wine club. You get to go to release parties and get discounts on the wine. They also have special multi-course dinners prepared by reknown local chefs that they pair with their wines. Beyond fun. Pure magic. Pretty location, too. It is a spot we now visit routinely on weekends.
google avatar

Joy R.

Yelp
The gardens and view are spectacular! A glass of the 5 Star the cab, tucked in the scenic gardens and life is perfect! Loved the wine and the experience!

Ed A.

Yelp
We went in for wine tasting on Friday. Over priced at $20 per person for 6 small pours. You need to spend $50 per person to waive a tasting fee, and we had to ask about it. Also, for the very first time in multiple years of wine tasting in the NW, the tax was not included in the tasting fee, again no mention of this on the menu. The WA state statue states that when the tax is not included, it needs to be explicitly noted to all. We won't be back.
google avatar

Bjorn M.

Yelp
From the island mists a contender is revealed! The Merlot here is surprising with notes of pepper and jam. The mastery of the winemaker is apparent in all wines proffered; so excellent is the cab sauv toothache over must speculate on dalliances in the dark arts! The eleusinian mysteries dance in this wine.

Yelp
Yesterday was my second time at Palouse and I already can't wait to go back! The owners and staff are my favorite thing about this winery, well besides the wine of course. George and Linda (the owners) are so welcoming and treat you like family. They knew a lot of the guest by name and if you are new they are quick to welcome you in and make sure that you are taken care of. George and I even had a conversation about our love of mushrooms and then next thing I know, he gave me a "mushroom log" so I could grow my own! It was such a random but wonderful gesture, and all he asked was to let him know how it turned out. Now the wine.... I believe there are 6 or 7 different kinds of wine with their tasting and you never feel rushed. I can't comment on the price because I went with a member the first time and then my boyfriend and I loved it so much we became members ourselves! Now that I am a member, I might be a tad biased but their Pinot Noir is now my absolute favorite wine. I think that alone makes the membership worth it! However, I also love everything else I have tried there. I really have no complaints about this wonderful winery. Palouse is conveniently located off the highway by the north end ferry, which was only a 15 minute ferry ride! Vashon Island is the perfect place for a quick trip out of Seattle or even a weekend getaway. Like I said I can't wait to go back and I am especially looking forward to visiting in the summer when they can open the large door to their tasting room! What to expect/ plan for: *They are only open for tastings Sat & Sun 12pm - 5 pm (reservations are not required) *Even though I don't know the tasting price, I know they take cards! *They also have events with great food so keep a look out on their events page *Their tasting room is small but wonderful so if there are a lot of groups it might get cozy (this could be a con for some people but I quite enjoyed the whole ambiance of the tasting room) *If you have any questions, don't be afraid to ask. They are very knowledgeable and proud of their product. *Be prepared to fall in love with their wine

Yelp
My wife and I took advantage of a beautiful sunny day in the Pacific Northwest to get away from the traffic in the Seattle area to enjoy Vashon Island and do some wine tasting. We had never been to Palouse Winery before, but it was quite a treat. The tasting room is a two-car garage style building located in front of the owner's house. It is a beautiful building with a simple yet fashionable design which has been very well taken care of. It is clean and well-maintained and perfectly complements the industrial/agricultural combination of oak barrels and steel racks commonly seen in winery tasting rooms. It is an agreeable combination of rural and modern design which appeals to almost everyone. The tasting table is a solid wood slab of a lighter wood (perhaps oak) about 3 inches thick and mounted on a stainless steel, wheeled base which matches perfectly the oak barrels on stainless steel racks immediately behind it. It is simplistic yet elegant. The varied smells of grapes in different states of fermentation highlight the winery atmosphere. The staff was very friendly and immediately asked us about a tasting which we happily agreed to. The tasting was large, as they go, with a basic tasting incorporating 7 wines for $15. We opted to get an extended tasting of three more wines for $5 more. They included multiple red and white wines. All were very good. As if this were not enough, the hostess brought out a meat, cheese and grapes plate with crackers for us to munch on with the wine completely complimentarily. It was perfect with their wine selection. My wife and I were extremely impressed with this winery tasting room and will definitely come back. Very happy with this place and pleased we found it. PS - this place is very dog-friendly. We asked to bring out for on and they were only too happy to have him around the tasting room. They offered water and tests too him, too.

Yelp
Happened upon this place looking for fun on Vashon with an out of town friend. We didn't realize that there was a members-only event happening, but the owners happily welcomed us and served us delicious food as well as wine tasting in a small but spirited setting. Outside fresh pizza was being prepared in a pizza oven while musicians provided a lively ambiance. I am excited to return to support this business and to enjoy their quality wines.

Carrie C.

Yelp
Such a great experience! Tasting was very reasonable ($15) for 6 pours. Each wine was better then the previous. We loved it so much we added on the extra $5 for the additional 3 tastings, which was so worth it. The "Poet" was absolutely fantastic must try was with the $5 alone. Ordered a glass and sat on the patio. So relaxing and lots of fun. The two individuals who helped us were very nice and incredibly knowledgeable. Well worth the trip to Vashon. Highly recommend.
google avatar

Laurel B.

Yelp
Lovely property, ambiance, and setting. Really wanted to like this place and buy wine, especially since the $15 tasting fee is waived if you spend $50. Unfortunately I did not like a single one of the 7 wines I tried. There is no accounting for taste, especially in wine, however the described notes of floral, berry and the like did not at all come through. I tasted punch-you-in-the-face levels of gravel, dirt, sour, and bitter. Think I'll go up the road and buy wine at the much less pretentious and better tasting Vashon Winery.

Yelp
The dog-friendly tasting room is situated in the barrel room, which gives it a cozy authentic feel. I have never liked any chardonnay, until today! Super clean, and refreshing! Very much worth the ferry ride over!

Yelp
Enjoying great wine on this sunny day. Beautiful views and friendly staff. The Eclipse blend is amazing! Must try if you haven't. Glad we decided to stop in today.
