PALPATIO HOTEL

We very much enjoyed our 4-night stay. The hotel has a European feel to it. The staff were excellent. We felt welcomed. The food was good, especially breakfast. Great coffee. We loved it. Definitely recommend.

The hotel is beautiful. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We chose a small room, which was just big enough and furnished comfortably. It's very quiet here. The coffee shop inside was perfect. We had delicious cappuccinos and pastries each morning. We chose this hotel based on its good reviews and distance from Centro. While the location was convenient and provided the quiet we wanted, I would caution others that the street it's on felt a bit disconcerting because it's so deserted at night. Walking back from the plaza at 9:30pm felt sketchy. Any later, I'd have Ubered. We had no problems, but want to warn others. After visiting Mexico City, we were surprised at that it was so unpopulated just a couple blocks from the hubbub. Next time, I think I'd stay in Americana or Tlaquepaque and Uber to the zocalo. But, inside the hotel, it is a lovely refuge.

Old building which used to house nuns in the late 1800s and eventually turned into a hotel. Even with the old structure, the building is well maintained and exceptionally clean. The staff is extremely friendly and professional, undoubtedly the highlight of this building. Given the shortfalls of this hotel versus others, the service from the staff makes it easy to choose this hotel over others in future travels. Kudos to Salma and Axl.

When booking here, there is no elevator. So to get to your room you must use stairs. Overall, from first impression it seems charming and has a nice history; but it did not live up to a luxury 4 star experience.

We could not of stayed at a better hotel. Everything was perfect. The service was excellent. Great rooms, roof top deck and the courtyard were amazing. I really good value for what you get.

At first, the location didn’t feel very pretty and honestly felt a little sketchy, but the hotel staff quickly put us at ease. They were warm, professional, and made us feel completely safe and confident that the hotel and surrounding area were secure. My husband is Persian and very particular about where we stay—he only wants the best—and even he ended up absolutely loving it. The only downside was the TV, which never worked despite multiple requests to have it fixed. That part was frustrating, but overall, we had a great stay thanks to the amazing staff.

The hotel used to be a covent. It is seeped with history and calm. It is a historical site so the conversion is designed to retain and maintain its original features. You will see and feel and enjoy this. It is kept very clean. There is a very nice restaurant separately owned by at the front of the building. El Particular. We ate all our breakfasts there. Yummy. The staff for both the hotel and the restaurant are very cheerful, cordial, and helpful. The hotel is well located, 4 blocks from the center of town and the Plazas where all the action is. We went at Christmas time so even more action and lots of lights, Santa Clauses, an ice skating rink, a Christmas Tree and a Nativity Scene, and Christmas related activities. The hotel is right on the bus line but we couldn’t figure out how to use it.|The room had a scent that my husband reacted to. A cleaning agent? The incense in the room? We don’t know the source but we did remove the incense and that might have helped but didn’t totally eliminate his reaction. We would appreciate written instructions on how to successfully use the local buses since they are right outside the door.

I greatly enjoyed my stay here at Palpatio! - Very clean and nicely decorated rooms - The staff were very helpful and quick to respond to Whatsapp messages - The staff would easily arrange rides to/from the airport for a rate cheaper than Uber - The onsite restaurant is absolutely delicious! - Beautiful decoration throughout the hotel - The staff allowed my group to stay at the hotel after checkout and enjoy the pool and luggage holding services until our ride departed. The hotel is located a 5/10 minute walk away from several beautiful plazas. I never felt unsafe in the area walking around during the daylight hours.
