Pan Pacific Melbourne

Jennifer and Chef Rishi were absolutely incredible accommodating my coeliac allergy at the buffet breakfast. I was provided a plate of hot food that was cooked fresh to avoid contamination from other guests. Jennifer looked after our table and she was absolutely delightful with conversation and recommendations for Christmas shopping surrounding the hotel. The coffee was amazing too and we tried their almond latte, decaf latte and chai latte and all were great quality. The only downside of the breakfast was the lack of sweet gluten free pastries. A small selection of fruit was available, however, some more sweet options for gluten free would have been great! This is our second stay and both times the staff have been beyond incredible with accommodating my complex gluten free allergy and I highly recommend for others. As we were celebrating my birthday, we were also provided with a gluten free dessert that was lovely! We also had the opportunity to use the club lounge. Unfortunately, due to emergency renovations we were re-located to the ground floor. Despite this, staff brought me a gluten free dessert and canapes as I was unable to eat what was initially unavailable. I was unable to grab their names, however, the lovely girl who was working her first day fit right in to their incredible service and should be commended! Her male counterpart showed incredible professionalism and was lovely to talk to.

We dropped off for a night at the Melbourne Pan Pacific and were very pleasantly surprised. Our room had a wonderful skyline and river view, it was spacious and very clean. The bathroom, walk-in shower and general design modern and clean. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. I would recommend this hotel and will be returning on my next visit to Melbourne.

We booked two Yarra Suites and were told at check-in that one had been upgraded to a Panoramic Suite. I still have no idea if that’s actually an upgrade. The Yarra Suite has a far better living space, while the Panoramic has nicer views and a better bedroom. The problem is the living room in the Panoramic Suite is small and awkwardly laid out, and it’s not a space you want to spend any time in. The views were great and the service during our stay was decent, but the hotel itself is extremely run down. There were multiple stains on the furniture and carpet, dust everywhere, broken shower, and even loose electrical wiring. For a room that goes for $895 a night, it’s unacceptable. The lounge was also disappointing, especially compared to the Accor lounges we’re used to. The breakfast food was always cold, and one morning they even ran out of eggs. The buffet downstairs was far better. After using express checkout, I got an invoice showing a $197.25 charge for guest laundry, even though we never used any laundry service. We also accidentally left some expensive, hard to replace electronics in the room. I’ve tried contacting the hotel about both issues and still haven’t heard anything back. I probably would’ve rated the stay as poor or maybe average, but since I now have to dispute incorrect charges through my bank and have likely lost our equipment, I’m leaving it as terrible. Avoid.

Excellent stay at the Pan Pacific hotel. We booked this hotel because it is next to the Melbourne Convention centre, where my daughter was attending an event. The hotel foyer is elegant and welcoming and the staff were helpful and efficient. We arrived late in the day and our rooms, on level 7 were ready. |The rooms are spacious and well appointed, everything was in excellent working order. The bed was comfortable and I liked the small 'pop-out' lights on the headboard as so many hotels lack suitable reading lights. The motorised blackout blind was great for blocking out any city light at night. |The seperate toilet within the bathroom area is always a bonus. However the new trend to have doorless, 'open' shower area's is not my favourite as these can be a bit cold. Nonetheless the bathroom was lovely and the Jo Loves bath and shower products divine. |There is a seperate direct elevator access to the convention centre from level one of the hotel, which is very convenient. |We tried the room service and I can recommend the Caesar Salad and Club. The cafe was perfect for a quick coffee and light breakfast before heading out in the morning. We also ate at the restaurant Dock 37 and recommend the Scallops and the Olive Cake (very generous portion!).|Would definitely stay here again.

Attentive, personalised service with spacious, comfortable rooms offering great views and great air conditioning. The breakfast buffet and lounge are good. Although the hotel was being renovated while we were there, the gym and lounge had been moved to an alternative location which still worked well. The rooms were very clean. Staff were helpful and attentive even on busier days.

Stayed in a Panoramic room 602. This is our third visit here and won’t be our last. My wife and I absolutely love this hotel with views along the yarra river. From the moment we were checked in by Jacky at the front desk we knew we were in for a great time. Pino the concierge is quite the character and is an asset to the hotel. Our room was exceptional, spacious with a separate lounge area. We had access to the Pacific Club lounge which serves canapés, wines, beers and even spirits. Danny was our club lounge director and could not have been friendlier and more accommodating. Another asset to an excellent hotel. Highly recommended.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. ||I was in room 1631. Beds were dreamy. Bathroom great with lovely toiletries. I loved the big bath - and the bath salts. ||The hotel is very busy but once in your room its exceptionally quiet. Added to that, an electric blind to help with light I slept so well. ||Reception area is lovely and not sure what air fragrance they use but the lobby area smells divine. ||Room service was fantastic on the two occasions I had it. Very reasonable in cost and simply delicious. ||Small shop for nibbles a few feet away from hotel and easy walkable access to many restaurants nearby. ||I'd definitely return if I return to Melbourne.

We had a good stay here! Staff was very helpful and friendly. We got a free upgrade and complimentary wine and chocolates as we recently got married. Very convenient location. Breakfast was good but quality could be improved. We had a lovely view of the Yarra and the room was tidier daily.

Great location clean rooms with amazing views. Excellent service and plenty of restaurants around location also a great workout room with same spectacular views.

I've stayed here three times over the past 6 months and have consistently had a wonderful experience. From check-in, the concierge and receptionists have been so welcoming and caring. Everyone greets you and ensures your stay begins on a positive note. They have a huge lobby with a lot of seating, usually decorated, the decor is lovely, and they have a water bottle filling station. The restaurant is connected to the right side and while I have never eaten here, I have heard good things. I've stayed in rooms on different floors but have always had a nice view of the Yarra river, even on the lower rooms that have the bottom view partially blocked from the roof of the mall. The sun rise does make the room hot but the electronic shade helps a lot! The evening views are beautiful and you can see the fire show from a few blocks down. The rooms are nice and spacious and has a lot of amenities like a mini bar, big tv, French press, desk, couch, toiletries, and bath robes. It's always been very clean at each of my stays. The bathroom is gorgeous! I love the tub with the complimentary bath salts and the open shower next to it. The toilet has a separate door for more privacy if you are staying with another person, and there's a night light in there for convenience. The location is great! The DF mall is connected and only a few steps out the front of the hotel. There's a convenience store and ATM just to the right when you walk out, which is so helpful! The convention center is right across the street, along with the huge parking structure that the hotel will discount for you if you rent a car. Along the river, there are tons of restaurants and bars (only 1-2 min walk from the hotel). Everything is so convenient! You can walk down to the casino to catch the tram if you're going further. Lovely hotel and staff. I highly recommend staying here. This is the only place I would stay at when in Melbourne.

The Pan Pacific Melbourne absolutely exceeded my expectations--everyone was very helpful and went out of their way to give 100%. The location is also clutch. Sure, it's not as close as the Crown Royale, but it's quieter and just a hop to all the other bars, restaurants and such off the water. Proximity to the convention center is clutch, and it's also easy to get to the airport from the main roads.

One of my favorite hotels to stay at in Melbourne. Great location. Right next door to south wharf DFO. Car parking can be expensive but DFO retailers give u a half price voucher when you buy something and the hotel gives you a voucher to reduce overnight parking to about $20 a night. The rooms at the Pan Pacific are very nice. The beds are amazing just like sleeping in a cloud. Have had the buffet breakfast a couple of times it's not bad but is better value if included in the accommodation package. The hotel is decorated lovely and often has works of art or exhibits on display in the foyer. There is also plenty of eateries at the back of the hotel on the waterfront to grab a beer or meal from.

I used to stay here when it was the Hilton from when it was brand new and nothing has changed building wise. It is a little aged in the fact that some items in the room show wear but as far as room comfort goes, it's terrific. The beds are so comfortable, the air conditioning is great and the block out blind is terrific. The bathrooms are beautiful and everything is 100% spotless. The staff are absolutely fantastic - you couldn't come across friendlier or more helpful people and I've stayed in a lot of hotels. When my son and I checked in we were chatting with the receptionist and she found out we'd just spent the day moving house and she immediately went on to offer ice creams to us both. It was little things like that, they made our stay feel very personalised. The only thing I can criticise is their food prices. My son and I had room service for dinner and for the 2 of us (my son having a kids meal) it was $94!! We didn't order drinks but my son did order a little tub of ice cream and I ordered a proper dessert. There was nothing wrong with the food but it wasn't great. And for the price I expected to be completely blown away. The next morning we were leaving the hotel and we had a 5 hour drive ahead of us so we decided to just grab something small from their cafe and yet again we were faced with inflated food prices. My coffee was $6 and my son's milkshake was $6.50. I got a slice and he got a toasted croissant and it was $31 in total. Our stay was lovely and I would definitely come back again, but in summary, stay here but don't eat here!
