We've been to Juan Bananas several times for their excellent coffee made by barista Mar. Who also is a very nice, friendly person. We usually have café and a bollito (a banana bread muffin), but sometime a fresh baked coconut or coconut/pineapple empanada. They have house made yogurt, loaves of banana bread and other tasty items.

Fun, interesting place with awesome banana-bread muffins (bollitos), baked empanadas, and homemade yogurt. The barista, Mar, makes great coffees.

Great banana bread! Not as sweet as what you’d find in America but delicious none the less. The yogurt they do is pretty delicious, as well, definitely worth the stop. A great place, I’ve made it a daily stop in the morning on my way to the beach. Don’t miss this place if you’re in San Blas.

Quaint little panderia in San Blas with good coffee and banana bread.

A walk-up window bakery with a small but excellent selection of whole grain breads, muffins, and cookies, as well as dried fruits, sugar-free yogurt, and a few flavors of nieve (we liked the pina colada). They have a few other minor items as well. The people there were always very friendly and helpful and patient (even with a dumb tourist like me). I consider this a must-go-to place in San Blas. Their yogurt helped settle our “travellers’ belly.” Be aware that the icon on Google maps makes it look like the service window is on the east side of the building but it is on the west (Batallion Street).

Must give a try at the most typical banana bread with nuts San Blas style!
