The pan sobao here tastes exactly like the ones made in Puerto Rico. Hands down, Legit. The puerto rican food as well is on point. You get huge portions for the price you pay. I would have to say this is my favorite place to eat on this side of town. It's difficult for me not to stop here if I'm driving by in the area. But again, that pan sobao tho 🤦

Google
There are plenty of pastries to choose from. Puerto Rican delicious food. Bilingual Spanish-English. Above all, service is top-notch.

Google
A delicious breakfast. Every time I travel to Orlando, I have to stop by this place. It has a variety of breakfast and lunch options, and the bakery offers delicious desserts. Highly recommended.

Google
Near the Orlando airport, this nice spot is delicious Latin food and baked goods! They open early for breakfast and have a great choose-your-own lunch option. Just a heads-up: there’s a 3% credit card fee, but the food is good.

Sabata Pereira

Google
Love this place for their empanadas/pastelitos and sandwiches. Their coffee is good too but not yet figure out which cafe con Leche I prefer. A must visit.

Google
Everything in the menu is fresh and made to order. The place is very busy being so close to the airport but the staff is very attentive and quick to take and prepare your order. Plenty of tables available. I will definitely recommend for a quick bite or lunch.

Google
Will never come back. We ordered our food with the tablet they have by the door. Before ordering I asked what typo of milks they have for the coffee, they only have regular and almonds. Coffee and food. Food came out first. Over 10 minutes later the staff was talking over the coffee machine when I had to ask for our coffees. They were not happy for the interruption. Only one lady apologized. They asked me who took my order and when I mentioned the machine, they had to ask me for my receipt. When finally made my coffee turns out they are out on almond milk. How do you have such a bad coffee service and ingredients and be called “el cafetal”.

Peter Rios

Google
I absolutely LOVE this place. You can always taste and feel the freshness of the food and pastries. I've been here 6 times now since moving here to Florida and I will not stop coming back. The girls that work here are all very nice and always happy. I definitely recommend anyone and everyone to come here.

Yelp
Always spot on with the coffee and the donuts. Like to get there around 9 and they are warm. Lol. Actually a terrific lunch spot with their large assortment of offerings!

Yelp
Highly recommend this place. All the sweets looked very delicious, nice variety as well. The staff was welcoming. We ordered Ladyfingers, Quesito, Plain Cheesecake, and another sweet for a total of $13. I plan to come back for breakfast soon

Yelp
This is a Puerto Rican bakery restaurant. They serve Puerto Rican delicacies and pastries, including Puerto Rican, coffee, particularly Mami coffee from Puerto Rico. They just opened this location on December 6, 2024. We were fortunate to go on December 9th an experienced great service and ambience. Typical of what you would expect in a Puerto Rican bakery shop. They are ready to serve and please you in anyway they can gastronomically I would highly recommend having a cup of coffee with pastries if you're in the Kissimmee area. This is the place you want to be. If you're in the general Disney area also.

Yelp
In Orlando there is a deep Cuban and Latino community which includes restaurants and...bakeries!! I love authentic Cuban pastries so I went on a search! Found this spot and it was perfect! A multitude of fresh pastries and a hot bar equally as impressive makes this a new home for me! Got an apple turnover and a cortadito shot to top it off and I was in heaven. Extremely clean, simple decorations and quality food sets this place apart!

Yelp
We were super excited to find this place while visiting our family in Orlando. From the line is well organized, to the number of ladies attending, it made our ordering and check out process very quick. We noticed they also have an automated ordering screen. Now, can we talk about their freshly squeezed OJ? Wow! Delicious! Their coffee was also delicious! I had a latte (cafe con leche). Their dessert selection is outstanding! Also, their savory dishes are great! Highly recommend!

Yelp
Stopped by here for lunch while at work and I was not disappointed. My coworker recommended the Cuban sandwich saying it was the best in town and I must say he might be right. Inside is very big with plenty of seating and lots of staff to help you out. There are plenty of options for food and even more for desserts or pastries. The Cuban sandwich was something else. It was so big I could only eat half and saved a the other half for lunch the next day. As you can see in the pictures it's completely packed with meats and cheese I recommend it! Definitely coming here again.

Yelp
Update: Food is still great but something is wrong with their AC. Brought a friend from NZ to experience great PR food. We went around 6pm. It was very uncomfortable. It was like they turned off the AC. AC worked b/c the bathrooms were quite cool. We were sweating just sitting there eating. If the AC isn't working, just get it to go. Great Puerto Rican place. Has both a bakery and hot lunch side. The bakery side has a variety of pastries and you can order sandwiches. That is the left side. If you want the hot bar side that is the on the right and you start in the middle and work your way down. They pretty much only speak spanish, so if you don't speak spanish you might have to do a lot of pointing. I wasn't exactly sure how the hot bar worked and I think I messed up and got 2 meats, I wanted to try 1 rib and she was surprised I only wanted one and I wanted the pork belly I think she went ahead did this for me to keep the line moving. The pork belly was good, incredibly crispy crust and tender meat side. My co worker got pulled pork and rice and yuca. Yuca was tasty but pretty mild. My tray was about $11 and more than enough for 2 meals. Great value and this place is always busy. Co Worker got the Cuban. Big sandwich they were very happy with their sandwich, only downside comes with nothing else but the price is really great so would rather save some money and get a great sandwich.

Yelp
Great spot for a really delicious and easy lunch. They have a menu of sandwiches and such to order that is accompanied by a hot bar. I was craving rice and beans so I went with a side of the yellow rice (arroz con bacon on their menu) and red beans. Absolutely amazing, and perfectly filling. I also grabbed a small coffee which was good. Parking is easy and there's lots of seating inside if you are in the mood to dine in. Next time I go I will be spending a lot more time checking out the pastry case. Lots of beautiful pastries, donuts, cakes, and breads to choose from.

Yelp
I need to move here for this amazing Cuban bakery and restaurant. We came here before going on a cruise knowing we'd be overeating and still prioritized this!!

Yelp
I went three days in a row!! Tried several of their bakery items. For me- all of it is a hit!!! Some of the best I have had! Their coffee is amazing! Service and Staff are sweet! Their Avena/Farina is amazingly delicious. Their bread is outstanding! Their more heavier meals, are good! But I do feel they need to flavor some of their stuff with a touch more of salt! But they serve great portions, and the food overall is pretty good.

Yelp
Penalizing customers who pay with a credit card is ridiculous. This new policy will drive customers away. I understand CC fees might be high but don't put it towards the customer or "hide" the fees in your prices. We have been visiting this location for years, it has become a tradition to stop every time we go to the airport. The food is amazing. The customer service can vary. The lines are not clear and if you walk in that's the line for the bakery, the lunch line is separate ( you will figure once people skip you and go the the other line).
google avatar

Yelp
Cuban/Latino bakery and coffee shop. Interesting food line, sort of like a Subway for Latino favorites. They make breakfast, too. Helps if you speak the language. The bakery goods are probably good, but I went for protein and coffee. The coffee is so-so; the protein was fine. YMMV. Noisy place, rough parking, reasonable prices.

Yelp
If you are waiting for someone at the airport or just on the east side, I would highly recommend this restaurant. There's a hot bar, sandwich options, and a bakery. I was a little intimidated as it consisted of mostly Spanish speakers, but we worked it out. The sandwich was made to order, and full of meat. I only ate half with papas fritas, and share the other half. It was extremely filling and delicious. There was a lot of people in line, ample sitting room, and a separate line for the hot bar. Little confusing but all in all, a great experience.

Yelp
Really blown away by the quality and taste at this Puerto Rican Home grown business. They started in the island and most definitely brought the flavor with them. I loved everything and will return on my next visit! Tripleta was exceptional and thee best I've had in Orlando. That says A LOT! My friend had a plate with salmon and chicken gizzards which were delicious. Not everyone can make this dish and they nailed it. Half bakery too so dessert is around the corner. Enjoy!

Yelp
I was happy to find a cafe that had mofungo! I ordered the plain mofungo, yellow rice, and red beans. They were all fantastic. The service was excellent. The stall were so nice and helpful with my order. I loved the simple cafe atmosphere that was full of happy patrons. This cafe is an excellent value as well.

Yelp
This is my second time here but the first time getting a sandwich. It was alright. The sandwich was $7 which is cheap to some, but compared to Cafetal's competitors.. it's hitting the pricier end. The area was clean, and not many people are here around 1pm, yet the ladies were taking their sweet time getting to me and my order. It might've been faster to just use the self kiosk. Again everything is just alright. The pastries were good but not beyond this world. The sandwich was good as well. Fries were very fresh. I will applaud how clean the entire restaurant is though. No mess anywhere.
google avatar

Genevere S.

Yelp
Stopped in for a quick lunch. It was very busy but they were working fast. Tried the sandwiches and they were very good portion and had good amount of meat. Coffee was also very good. Looking forward to trying their food next time.

Yelp
We came early morning after a airport trip and we were not dissatisfied!! We had breakfast and got delicious fresh baked goodies to take home! The flavors were on point, felt like at home in PuertoRico!! The lady that took our order I forgot her name, I think she was Cuban, she was so nice and attentive!! I will definitely come back!!!

Yelp
GOOD CAFÉ LATTE AND DESSERT We recently visited El Cafetal Bakery & Restaurant, a Puerto Rican casual eatery located in a busy strip mall on Semoran Blvd. El Cafetal and four other restaurants share parking located in front (crowded and chaotic) and behind the storefronts. We later learned that El Cafetal is part of a restaurant chain started in Puerto Rico. We enjoyed a café latte (large $3.29) and dessert ($2.50). I thought I was ordering a flan but my friend thought the dessert was a vanilla pudding. I liked the café latte that I think is made with more steamed milk than a Cuban cafe con leche. My very little Spanish was enough to place our order - while pointing to food works for me, service would have been better if the cashier was bilingual. Newbies may end up on the wrong line here. From YELP reviews, we learned there are 2 separate lines to order. One line forms near the entrance for the sandwiches and mfongo plates described on the digital menu board and the pastries in the display cases (no posted prices or descriptions for the pastries). Do not wait on the first line for the buffet. Walk past the front line to get on the line for the buffet that starts on the other side of the cashier. Based on YELP reviews, it appears that it is $11 for one side, one serving of rice and beans, one protein (that day, there were pork chops, roast chicken, shredded roast pork and ribs) and a bottle of water. But with no signs for the two lines and no posted prices or menu, it might be confusing for a newbie to do the buffet here.

Yelp
This is a restaurant I used to go in Puerto Rico and now here in Orlando is great. Great food, great sandwiches and dessert. They serve you big portions and prices are decent. I had rice and beans with roasted pork and very delicious

Yelp
This is the second time i try to come and cant even place an order Last time i was just ignored to the point i just left to go to wawa since i had a 3 hour drive ahead Today it was busy, i get thats not the employees fault but i hate to be rushed to place an order because thats how i end up ordering something i do not want. So i just left. Not doing this reviewed to be asked to come back but to see im maybe just maybe, The management would think of a way less stressful for costumers to place their order, specially when is busy and people who are not regulars come in

Laura J.

Yelp
Asked for a café con leche was regular coffee with a splash of milk. Toast bread with butter tasted old. Service took a minute.
google avatar

Taylor M.

Yelp
Tried El Cafetal a few days ago and I will definitely be going back! The pastries were so yummy and the Cuban sandwich was perfect! I was even asked by a few people where I got the sandwich from because it looked and smelled so good! I even forgot to take pictures because I wanted to eat it so bad!!

Yelp
A very decent and economical Puerto Rican restaurant and bakery for picking up a bite to eat for breakfast or lunch or simply pastries. i love to visit Ouertorican bakeries as where I live they have none so I enjoy them very much, and with a largely local and Hispanic clientele, which was a good sign of authenticity. We had a full breakfast and a Tripleta, freshly made, and good value with a large coffee with milk. Service was great the ladies at the counter were friendly and attentive and explained everything and even repeated the order to make sure all was correct. very short wait for your food. The ambiance was super lively with Spanish music playing and a very happy vibe. will definitely come back again on my next trip to Orlando
google avatar

Yelp
This place is unbelievable the food is authentic the atmosphere fun the service is exceptional. I will be back over and over again..

Yelp
Amazing food! Came for a coffee and pastry but stayed for the combo meal! The rice and beans were fantastic as well as the pork and plantains. Could easily feed two people with all the food you get plus a bottle water all for $11. Highly recommend!

Yelp
We found this place by accident. Meson sandwiches was inexplicably closed so this seemed like a suitable replacement. Cafetal is the exact replica of what you'd find in a typical Puertorican bakery. You can choose from a wide variety of made to order sandwiches, or prepared hot food consisting of rice, proteins, and root vegetables (vianda). We had sandwiches; I had the tuna and wasn't thrilled with it honestly. it was very much that cheap and tasteless tuna that barely had any mayo or anything else for that matter. However, others in our party had the chicken sandwich, and the tripleta and they loved it. The baked desserts are a must. They tasted fresh and delicious. The donut with cheese custard, and the quesito were the perfect ending to a satisfying lunch that was, I might add, very reasonably priced. The Mallorca was fluffy and slightly sweet, pillowy like a donut. A side note, they make a really good fresh squeezed orange juice at a reasonable price as well.

Yelp

Mara L.

Yelp
If you're Puertorican this is your place, all the Puertorican food and flavors are here. Coffee, tostadas, sandwiches excellent the coffee strong and delicious. I have to go.
google avatar

Yelp
This place is awesome. They open at 5am. NICE. Came in very early in the am. I ordered a Coffee and a breakfast sangawich. They made a big ham, egg and cheese sangawich on Cuba bread. Got my order pretty quick. Sangawich and coffee were both good and hot. I will be visiting again and again. Oh, and the bakery items look fantastic. The place was getting busy by the time I left. Service was good. Prices were OK. Food was fresh. I recommend it.

Yelp
Stuffed into a small parking with lots of business in and out, this hidden gem is often overlooked. One day a friend brought me to grab some breakfast and I've been back a dozen or so times since. Walking in you see all the tempting pastries, breads and pates. The smell and sight tempts you. Walking past the sweet counter, and normally a line of 3-5 people you'll get a whiff of the real food. Chicken, ribs, fish bbq, buttered or fried pull you in. Then an array of sides follow from plantain to mashed potatoes, rice, veggies etc. The prices are about what you'd expect or even a little lower for the portion of food you get. And it's always hard to not take a dessert home, sometimes impossible. Most times the inside has a nice sized crowd so seating may be scarce.
google avatar

Freddie Diaz S.

Yelp
Food : good Service: bad 1. The menu and the cashier (who takes the order) are not in the same place. The cashier, on our visit, was not knowledgeable. 2. They flip the iPad on you for a quick tip; before your dining experience (Something more and more businesses are practicing, unfortunately). 3. One of the employees yelled my name, so I proceeded to the "order pick up" area (it's labeled) and then she yelled my name again (and I saw her) and she yelled "I'm over here!" That's pretty unprofessional wouldn't you say. Ambiance: Noisy. And with the tip "panhandling"...you'd think they'd have someone cleaning the tables. We had to clean ours (when we sat down). We threw our trash away...and wiped down the table again. Maybe I should get a tip.

Yelp
A very decent and economical Puerto Rican restaurant and bakery for picking up a bite to eat after landing at MCO.   It's just a short drive from MCO and with a largely local and Hispanic clientele, which was a good sign of authenticity.   I had a generous, freshly made, and good value Bistek (beefsteak) sandwich for $6.99.   Wife also picked up some pastries and donuts to go for $11 and which were also quite good values.  They also have a lunch buffet available.

Ron G.

Yelp
First time at this restaurant and truly not a good first impression. Service was awful - no signs that direct you to do the line for the hot food line or a la carte. After doing the line at the hot food line, when it was my turn, I was told that that's not the line.... So I had to do the line again at the other end. Approximately 12 minutes just to order. I ordered a mofongo with churrasco (skirt steak) and mofongo with fried pork chunks. The mofongo is supposed to be deep fried green plantains, and this one was boiled with ripe plantains. Skirt steak was actually flank steak and was past medium well. Ordered two quesitos and they were not fully baked. Will not be coming back to this place.

Yelp
Love the food here. 1. Staff suck- when we order over the phone mostly sandwiches and omelettes, they are never accurate and twice there were shells in the omelettes. 2. The restaurants is packed sometimes and there are long waits 3. English is limited 4. Choose your plates based on what looks fresh
google avatar

Gilbert U.

Yelp
Decent , Affortable, buffet & bakery style environment. Quick in and out Parking is ok
google avatar

Carilyn M.

Yelp
Visited at 8:30 am, very disappointed with the service, trash cans full employees didn't know what they were doing, the food was ok, but I wouldn't return. Prices were affordable, but coming from the food and beverage industry, employees need more training specially making coffees, the sandwiches areas is not synchronized with the fryer area therefore our family received sandwiches done eating and then the kids meal came. No manager present and attitude of some of the staff is I don't care. Therefore no portion control lot of food waste and no overall attention .
google avatar

Zaida H.

Yelp
I have gone to Cafetal since it opened. I enjoy their pastries, especially the "quesitos." They really are fantastic. I typically buy their fresh baked bread for sandwiches, fresh orange juice, & as mentioned, the pastries. I am not a big fan of their sandwiches nor their main hot food. I find it to be a tad bland, but the main reasoning for the 3 stars is their habitual LONG wait time for small orders, such as juice/coffee & bread. As some have mentioned, it's not that the long lines are the cause of the wait, but rather customer service.
google avatar

Ryan W.

Yelp
Home of the One Hour bakery. It takes an hour to get a pastry. The place has gone seriously Downhill since it opened and the quality / flavor has really Taken a backseat, used to be so good!
google avatar

Sean R.

Yelp
What are exactly your hours of operation? I purposely arrived at 9:10pm, knowing you closed at 10pm because I didn't want to be "that customer". When I pulled up there were 5 employees standing near the counter not doing much. When I approached the door two motioned that you were closed. Clearly posted on both front doors says you are open until 10pm daily? Either change your hours, or hold your employees accountable. Done with you!
google avatar

Carlos H.

Yelp
Pastries, sandwiches and food are very good. Pastrami sandwich with mayo ketchup is my favorite. The owner also owns bakeries in Puerto Rico that is why is authentic. Pastries are always good as well as their orange juice. Food quality has been sketchy lately and service could be difficult sometimes.

Jewel E.

Yelp
Very good food and quick service. A definite stop by the airport but I wish I would have went sooner.

Yelp
Weekend trip to Orlando, woke up hungry and this place caught my attention PR Bakery, hell yeah. We ordered the bacon, egg and cheese sandwich in pan SOBAO, amazing, big enough for two. The cafetal capuccino, great too, large size with loads of whipped cream. All baked good looked great so it was hard to decide. We got the guava and cheese danish (OMG), quesitos and pastelillo de guayaba, all good. New go to place to eat in Orlando.
google avatar

Andy G.

Yelp
The cheesecake was SO good!! Do NOT order anything from the menu. If it's not on the hot bar or in the bakery case, do NOT order it. I made the mistake of ordering a salad. They forgot: the salad dressing, toppings, cheese. (They had actually forgotten to make the salad. We had to remind them several times which was uncomfortable.) Don't expect great customer service either, everyone we encountered was rude.
google avatar

Alex F.

Yelp
I've had Cuban sandwich almost around all orlando by far this is the best place they makes them! They are press on a flat toaster and have all the correct ingredients pork, ham,Swiss cheese, mustard and pickles on cuban bread! So if you're looking for a Cuban sandwich I definitely recommend this place!

Ed M.

Yelp
Excellent Puerto Rican bakery. Pan sobao is the best. They always have a lot of customers so plan ahead and expect lines to order and pickup.
google avatar

Kayla T.

Yelp
The Breakfast burrito and Cafe latte was very good! At 9:30 am they have a full Mexican buffet. The line was long for it so it must be good!
google avatar

Luis M.

Yelp
Love this place. I eat here a few times a week. I'm from Camry PR and I feel right at home when I come here.
google avatar

Yelp
Do they even enjoy working there? Hell NO listen up owner your establishment needs a serious facelift and this is in regards to its customer service aesthetically speaking. Your location is beautiful except for your horrible staff that do not even greet your customers the proper way they should be greeting them they were rude, dry, extremely unhelpful and have attitudes FROM the minute. I walked in. I received absolutely zero help until I had to ask for help, I will never return to this establishment. Why do I need ti eat in a place where Im being mean mugged by women that look bored as hell? Sadly it's in my neighborhood and I thought it would be a great experience. You either need new staff or somebody needs to give them reprimands and judging by the complaints on her I'm not the only one that feels the same way
