Panama House B&B offered a welcoming, homey place to stay for a couple nights before moving onto other parts of the country. The staff were all incredibly friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. There was ample common space to hang out, and a well-stocked kitchen to use for cooking or storing food. Everything was pretty clean. Breakfast was simple but good including the fresh juice, with heartier options available for a small cost. The room was small but had ample shelving/storage space plus nightstands and a sizeable bathroom with hot shower. My main complaint was the noise...there are no posted (or enforced) quiet hours, and it was frustrating to arrive exhausted after a 14 hour travel day and not be able to sleep, even in a private room, due to people partying and playing ping pong outside my room on the common space. The pet birds will definitely wake you up in the morning, which wouldn't have been bad if people didn't make noise till midnight. However it was a bit isolated from the street noise which was nice. Overall I would recommend this place, you can't beat it for the price!

Absolutely loved this place! I was in the 6-bed shared dorm, for just under $11/night and it was amazing. Really nice place and you can tell them have invested a lot in making it nice, and keeping it nice. It was quiet and very friendly. Has a good shared kitchen and a big backyard with eating area. I will definitely be back!

Excellent location within walking distance to metro stations, shopping and restaurants, without being noisy or on busy street. Super friendly attention. Nice and cosy rooms and social areas with table-tennis, billiards, library and a garden patio. Fully equipped kitchen, and still breakfast included.

This review is based on the birds that don’t shut up at 6 am. If you want to go to sandblast don’t be afraid. You’ll be awake birds located directly outside the room Check in at 630 and birds that shut up at 6 am

We had a lovely trip to Panamá House Bed and Breakfast! Such a great host. We really enjoyed our glamping room and the communal spaces. They offer a clothes washing service which is excellent too. It’s in a slightly quieter area but it’s not far to get into busier areas. The parrots are a little noisy but it didn’t really bother us :)

It’s a great hostel with amazing people who try to help you always. They even gave me their private mattress to make a workout. Clean, airconditioned during the night, nice dorm, billiard, kitchen for use, free drinking water and ice cubes. The price is amazing and subway close and super easy (and cheap) to use. Highly recommended.

When it was time to leave, I felt as if I was saying goodbye to family. That's how I'd like to start my review. The owners and the staff are wonderful - warm, caring people. They go above and beyond to assist you and guarantee that you have a great time in Panama. Location is very good - a 10 min walk from the Via Argentina subway station (I took public transit everywhere, including from and to the airport - and it costs 25 cents). Also, it's close to the Obarrio and El Cangrejo zones, both filled with restaurants and stores. The hostel itself is simple (you can tell it's an old house), but comfortable; I stayed in a dorm and also in a tent, no complaints. Breakfast includes toast, coffee, and a fruit, which was enough for me. Shared bathrooms were ok - shower with strong water pressure and cold/hot water. I also enjoyed the common area; they have a bird that starts "talking" early, so I never slept past 7 am (bring ear plugs if you're a light sleeper). WiFi worked well during my stay as well. In summary, I'd recommend Panama House B&B.

The owner, Alva, and her staff efficiently run a very comfortable hostel. They did their very best to accommodate me as I came and went several times during my vacation in Panama. The rooms are clean, the beds comfortable, the water hot. |Many best things about the hostel include a ping pong table, an open air court yard (right in the middle of the city), great morning coffee. Best of all friendly, helpful staff. My Spanish is weak. They appreciated my companion, Senor Google, who helped me communicate.|The location is very convenient to Estacion Via Argentina on the Metro (easy to navigate and cheap). In general, I think cabs are not as familiar with hostel locations so having the driving route available on my phone was helpful.
