Panayiotis Governor's Beach

We stumbled upon this restaurant whilst driving back from a day visit to Limassol. Just off the main road, the place looked very quiet/disused from the front entrance but when we walked through the gardens we were met with a lovely view from the cliff tops and an awesome restaurant run by the friendliest people. |We recommend the Moussaka, as it was fresh made that morning and was baked in a ceramic dish but I’m sure everything on their menu will be delicious! They gave us a taste of their homemade cake and that was moist and fresh too! So kind, chatty and a really relaxed atmosphere. Could have sat there all day! |There are rooms to rent and a lovely little beach to sit on away from all the main resort hustle and bustle. It was just what we were looking for that day and hopefully we can return on our next holiday in 2026!

It is not possible to write a comment only for the small restaurant next to the pension. I will write the information about the restaurant only. It is small, the service is very slow. The view is beautiful, but it is very windy, so the sand will be in your head/eyes/food. The food itself is not so bad, for people who likes to eat fish with the bones, otherwise it is not your place. The prices are ok, since it is only one place to buy water/drinks/ice cream next to the beach, you have no choice.

I had lunch here with my family, and we absolutely enjoyed the experience. We ordered the fish meze, which was excellent. Fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. The service was warm and felt genuinely authentic. It was easy to bring kids to this place, and we felt welcome as a family. The restaurant is conveniently located very close to the beach, and the view over the sea was absolutely mesmerising, adding to the overall charm of the place. Highly recommended.

We had an enjoyable experience there. The fish mezes was very good with a variety of fishes and the amount was enough. The view is absolutely lovely and the people are very sociable and kind!

After completing the Limassol Marathon last Sunday, I was exhausted, sore, and absolutely starving. My family took me to Governor’s Beach - Panayiotis restaurant, and it was the perfect place to recharge. The moment we stepped in, we were greeted with a stunning view of one of the most breathtaking beaches I’ve ever seen. |As for the food, it was nothing short of amazing. We ordered the fish platter, and it was a feast: a rich variety of fresh fish, king prawns, and calamari. On top of that, the mezze dishes were incredibly flavourful. |The service was friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even better. I’ll definitely return to enjoy it even more next time, especially without the soreness from the marathon!

Mr Adonis is a great guy, he really has a special place in our hearts. We felt like family and had a wonderful time. Tavern is also great and the beach in front. We recommend this place for your holiday.

Very slow service, i ordered prawns (dont do my mistake!) They were soaking in oil, impossible to peel and had no taste. Chips also covered in smelly oil. And at the end, they added to our bill second pint of beer and cola, which we didnt order. Be cautious!

Amazing place, good food, huge portions, eleny is an excellent chef and lovely person, Andrew, the manager, is super cool. Very much recommended!! The beach near by is beautiful. We will definitely come again)))))))))))))))))))))))))
