Pancakes On The Rocks

You can’t visit The Rocks without stopping here. The atmosphere is cozy and buzzing, tucked away in a cool historic building. I had the Devils Delight (chocolate pancakes with strawberries and ice cream), and it was heaven! The pancakes are consistently fluffy and the portions are huge. Even though it gets busy, the service is quick and friendly. Perfect for a late-night treat or a big weekend breakfast. Highly recommend! Shame this restaurant doesn't do any mains for vegans but my meat eating family loved it!

Lovely spot to enjoy fluffy and rich pancakes. The lemon meringue pancakes were deliciously sweet, but not over the top, with a zesty zing! The stacks come with a choice of butter / cream or ice cream and maple syrup on the side. Bacon was cooked to perfection, crispy and flavorful. The pancakes are quite large, the stack of 4 pancakes can feed 2 adults, easy. The ordering system is via QR-code which I find impersonal, but service was quick and friendly!

Came here with some of my mates for breakfast and had a good time. Pancakes were really nice. However, I had asked for extra ice cream in my pancakes and they brought me my pancakes with the ice cream missing. Overall food still good. Staff kept people waiting at the front for quite some time before seating people even though many tables were open. Still a good experience there.

We had pretty good food, but despite saying they could take your order, no one ever came by so we used the web site. The salads were good. One chicken Caesar salad had a couple of small black leaves, but was mostly otherwise fresh. The eggplant pizza was very good as well. The fancy pancakes with ice cream were the highlight though and the rightfully fullfil hhrig name in a noble fashion.

Food - pancakes were good, soft and fluffy. Serving size was decent. The apple crumble flavour needs work, would not get again. Maybe try a chocolate one next time. Hashbrown was oily, didn't hold shape and was underwhelming in both flavour and texture. Service - staff were polite & efficient, but don't expect too much small talk, the place is busy. Atmosphere - well lit, spacious, very comfortable 🥰

Coming to Sydney, this was pretty much my most desirable visit. I'm happy to say that it lived up to the hype. The pancake stack was exactly as I dreamed - pure sugar! The pancakes themselves were cooked well and the accompanying sauces/icecream/berries complemented them perfectly. Truly an amazing sugar rush. I also had a proper breakfast dish with their 'Bacon Egg 'N' Hash' dish which was good. Everything was cooked well and what you would expect. Except for the hashbrown - I'm assuming it's an American thing but the shredded potato didn't do it for me, it could've used a bit of seasoning to be honest. Milkshake was good although nothing special.

There are many types of pancakes here, both sweet and savoury, and the portions are huge 🥞🤯 I totally underestimated it and ordered a dish for myself, and my partner did the same, and we were so full we almost wanted to give up—but somehow still managed to finish…… The pancakes here are excellent: full of rich egg aroma 🥚 loaded with toppings, soft and fluffy in texture, and just the right thickness—not too thick, not too thin 🧈🥞 There are two pieces per serving, but if you eat a whole portion by yourself, it can get a bit heavy after a while 😗 I ordered the apple crumble, and the apples were done incredibly well 🍎🥧! However, the potato au gratin was a bit on the dry side, and even with the sauce on top, it still felt quite dry 🥔🧀 So for next time, I’d stick with the pancakes and sweets to enjoy the cosy vibe and comforting flavours. ✨😋🍴

Good old pancakes on the rocks! Pancakes on the rocks is always been a favourite of mine for many of years. Handsdown 5 stars 🌟 every visit has great friendly staff & service, pancakes on the rocks menu is full of variety and has something for everyone whether it be breakfast, lunch or dinner! The dinner options from the grill is always nice with the brisket or the steak being my favourite! And then with some famous pancakes to top it off. Pancakes on the rocks highly recommended whatever the occasion with the friendly staff , great menu and great food!
