This is one of the town’s oldest eateries, famous for its Aam Ras Puri and budget-friendly thalis. The flavors are excellent, though the wait time can be quite long, particularly on weekends, expect around 45 minutes.

Nothing to write home about. Poori is tastier than sabji or chole being served. Aloo gobhi and matar paneer has better taste.

Pancham Puriwala serves a solid Pancham Thali with tasty puris and a standout dudh poha. It’s crowded, but worth the wait if you want an authentic old Mumbai spot.

Very close to CSMT. Bang opp to the bus stop in the busy lane of fort Mumbai there is this lovely little vegetarian restaurant and as the name suggests famous for its Puries. Don't miss if you are around that area. Always a wait time as huge rush specially during lunch hours one will find a big Que here. Small tables hences are always shared. Good people and excellent service even in this busy place. No AC but worth all the efforts as food here is excellent hot and fresh always. Try aamras Puri superb in taste. Their Pancham thali was also good but a bit too big and difficult for one to finish. People are good and always cheerful. No parking. Try once and you will love the place.

One of the oldest eating joints in town EST. 1848. More than 177yrs old. If you are in this part of the city this is a must try for those who love their veggies with deep fried crispy puris. They have a good choice of vegetable bhajis as well as lunch thalis. Their chaas is also really nice and not wattery like you get at other places. This place is non AC and tables are generally shared. Note that if you come during lunch time there can be a long queue and a wait for about 15-20mins. Parking is not available here so best to visit by public transport or park at a pay and park that is a 5 min walk from here.

This is supposed to be one of the best place around nariman point to have some Bombay style food . We visited this with family . If you want to try their all curries order the Pancham Royal thali . It will come with 3-4 curries , kheer, lassi and pulaw. I liked their masala and palak puri. Off course they were oily . Also ordered masala butter milk . The lassi and butter milk was not good , I would say worst I have tried till now .

It is very famous and one of the oldest restaurant. Their USP is five types of Poories served with different sabjis, curries and Kadhi combinations. You can opts for full size thali and Poori sabji combos also. The place is very crowded during lunch time. You have to wait for your turn. Sitting is very congested but it’s worth it for simple and tasty poori delicacy.

Located within walking distance from Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, this hidden gem in a bustling market area offers an unforgettable culinary experience. The place is almost always packed, and while it’s not known for comfort or attentive service, what it lacks in ambiance, it more than makes up for in taste. The food is incredibly fresh and full of flavor. Their poories are delightfully crunchy, paired perfectly with a well-spiced, home-style aloo sabji that tastes just like something out of a traditional kitchen. A true highlight, especially during mango season, is their seasonal aamras—rich, smooth, and absolutely mouth-watering. It’s the kind of meal that hits the soul. If you’re looking for authentic, freshly made local fare and are okay with a no-frills setting, this place is definitely worth a visit. Just be prepared for a bit of a crowd—it’s popular for all the right reasons.
