I stayed in one of the units at Pandanus Caravan Park for a couple of months, and it’s the best caravan park I’ve come across during my travels around Australia. The park is immaculately maintained - the grounds and facilities are beautiful, peaceful, and clearly looked after with care. The pool, barbecue, and kitchen areas are always clean and genuinely enjoyable to spend time in. The managers are fantastic - friendly, approachable, and always willing to help. They really go above and beyond, and it’s clear they love what they do. All of the staff are great :)

Stayed there with some friends and we all thought it was a hidden gem close to the town in Port Douglas . The staff were very friendly and made sure we had a comfortable stay . The cabin was spotlessly clean and the grounds are well maintained . Will definitely stay there again and will recommend to others

I've been on the road now 6 months and over 50 parks and the crew out here are absolutely amazing people. They have a great energy and go above and beyond to make you feel welcomed and at home . Nothing but genuine smiles love and respect. Makes staying here one of my favourite stops. We all know its about the energy these days and these guys and gal's have the best 👌 💯🫶 The park has great facilities and close to town also. Thanks for everything . I Will always be dropping in whenever im in Port Douglas .

Loved the two days I stayed here on a lovely grassy unpowered site. Would like to have stayed longer. It’s a lovely quiet park, the facilities are very clean with a great camp kitchen. Ash was very accommodating and friendly, In fact all of the management staff here were very pleasant. It’s location is convenient in that it’s about a 20minute leisurely stroll to the Marina & Main Street area.

It’s a large park not too far from Macrossan Street, Port Douglas’s main drag with all the shops and restaurants. Marina and beach close by too.|Plenty of powered and un-powered sites, some cabins, a pool, camp kitchen and lots of trees.|Amenities looking very tired, old fashioned with peeling paint. Desperately need an upgrade.|Laundry has old washing machines and clothes dryers with some not working.|However, the new managers and two great long serving staff plus other staff are doing their best to cope with a sinking ship. Apparently, the park is going to be re-developed as a resort but no one seems to know when. Hence no funds for needed repairs and renovations.|Very sad, as it has been a great park over the years, always popular but didn’t seem so popular when we were there.|Come on park owners, spend a few bucks so campers can have a good experience.

You don’t have many options if you caravan at Port Douglas. Pandanus or Tropic Breeze. Pandanus is in need of a major upgrade as the facilities are run down outside the small kitchen in a corner of the park. It was noisy on two sides from the road and from the next door back packers. The manager I think his name is Ash is very helpful and his team did their best to keep the park clean and tidy. There is no view, no activities and an old pool. $70 a night is about $20 too much for what is provided. Sadly like too much at Port Douglas, no value for money.

If you have kids do not stay here! We stayed here with family for a week and our kids got told off because apparently they were being too loud in the pool. The manager rudely approached us and advised that there had been a complaint and he could hear our kids from the office. Our kids were just having fun! Even a couple a seat away thought he was very rude and the complaint was unfounded. As we were leaving the pool the old couple who complained tried to pick a physical fight with us from the verandah of their cabin and the old lady gave us the rude finger (very mature behaviour from those baby boomers especially with small children around). Maybe advertise the park for over 60s! Apparently the park is going to be demolished next year and units built so these reviews are probably pointless but I’m also looking forward to the unprofessional way in which pandanus staff respond to this review as evident in their other responses to 1 star reviews and their face to face conduct! Finally - just don’t stay here with kids!

Great campsite with good amenities, location spot on about a 20 min walk to town which you can do a number of ways, along the beach, along the main road or cut through the streets||Nice and quiet pleasant pool area. Staff are all very welcoming, smiling and saying good morning etc, makes my day if the interactions are pleasant.
