I recently visited Pandav Leni in Nashik for a small trek and had a really good experience. The route is the same one that goes towards the Buddha Smarak, and you can easily park your bike right at the beginning of the stairs. The entry timing is 7 AM to 6 PM, and the ticket costs just ₹20, with online payment available. The ancient rock-cut caves have beautiful carvings and give you a glimpse into the historic Buddhist architecture of the region. After exploring the caves, I took a left and climbed further up the hill. The trail gets quite steep near the top and has loose stones, making it a little slippery. Also, there are no direction markings, so first-timers need to be careful while navigating. The view from the top is totally worth it — you get a wide and beautiful look at the Nashik cityscape. I tried continuing ahead thinking it would be a circular route (and it is), but since the sun was setting and there were no signs, I decided to return from the same path to avoid getting lost. A smart move, especially on your first visit! Overall, it’s a great place for a peaceful, not-too-crowded trek. If you plan to go in the evening, make sure you keep an eye on the sunset timing. Morning visits are safer and more enjoyable. 👉 Good experience, stunning views, but one star less for the lack of signboards at the top.

If you have intrest in history and love hiking...this is the place for you. Although as the names suggests there is no connection to Pandavas to these caves. There are 24 caves and you have to climb few hundred stairs to reach there. You will find these scriputiures ans carving related to Buddhism and Jainism. Will request authority to stop people taking polythene as you will find garbage everywhere and if you are going there pls do not litter If this place was in Europe it would have attracted millions of tourist.

Happen to visit on a fine early morning! This historic place has many caves on a hilltop, the caves are of Buddhist monks and they depict beautiful carvings of exceptional craftmanship skills. Must visit place in Nashik if you are enthusiastic of historical places. The climb to hilltop is little challenging but worth it. The breathtaking views of city from hill top is amazing.! This place is maintained by ASI with a nominal ticket pricing.

This is one of the most important buddhist site in Maharashtra, it has nothing to do with pandavs as it's commonly believed. These are rock cut caves on top of a mountain. There are many caves who served different purposes during the time they were used by Buddhist monks. These caves showcases the advantage rock cut architecture of that era. Not only they show the advance architectural planning n precision rock cutting workmanship. Most of the caves are in good shape, rest show the ignorance of government and concerned authorities. Also many caves are damaged by other kingdoms who dint followed or supported Buddhism. This is a beautiful place to explore history n real architecture of Indian civilization. Now coming to site, there are few hundred stone steps to the top of the mountain, mind these stairs as they are little tricky at few places. There is a small entrance fees. Read about the Archeological history of this site before visiting ...that will make your visit little meaningful...if you are just visiting for time pass than it provides a beautiful view of the city from the top ,those caves won't interest you. A must visit for people who love Archaeology and history and not for those who believe in mythology:)

Pandavleni Caves in Nashik completely surprised us! I honestly don’t understand how such a stunning and historically rich site is not among the most famous tourist attractions in the region. The moment we started walking up towards the caves, we could already feel the ancient energy of the place. These caves are believed to be associated with the Pandavas and were later used by Buddhist monks, which makes the site even more fascinating from both mythological and historical perspectives. The rock-cut architecture is simply unbelievable. Every carving on the stone tells a story of the craftsmanship and devotion of the people who created them centuries ago. The detailing is so intricate that you cannot stop admiring how such precision was achieved in those times without any modern tools. The peaceful silence around the caves adds to the entire experience, making it feel like you’ve stepped into another era. The moment that truly moved me was standing in front of the Buddha carved directly into the rock. There is something deeply divine and calming about it—almost as if the place radiates spiritual energy. It’s rare to find spots that blend history, art, nature, and serenity so beautifully. Pandavleni Caves is truly a must-visit place, especially for anyone who loves history, architecture, spirituality, or simply discovering hidden gems.

Pandavleni Caves – Nashik 🏞️ Pandavleni Caves in Nashik is a beautiful blend of history, spirituality, and nature. Located on a hilltop, this place offers a breathtaking view of the entire city. The climb to the caves is slightly steep, but once you reach the top, the view and the peaceful atmosphere make it completely worth it. These ancient Buddhist caves are full of fascinating rock-cut architecture and carvings. The sculptures and inscriptions reflect the rich heritage and skill of the craftsmen from thousands of years ago. It’s truly amazing to see how perfectly everything is carved in stone. While climbing, you can enjoy the beauty of nature — cool breeze, greenery, and a calm environment all around. The area is well maintained, clean, and has proper arrangements for water and rest. My personal experience at Pandavleni Caves was wonderful and unforgettable. You can feel a deep sense of peace, connect with history, and enjoy the natural beauty all at once. If you love history, nature, or trekking, this is definitely a must-visit place in Nashik. 🙏✨
