"Catch the Sunrise at Pandawa Beach Before It's No Longer a "Secret" Catching the sunrise at Pandawa Beach, also known as the “Secret Beach” in South Bali , was an adventure from beginning to end. After learning about it from Rob, the owner of Suara Ombak Cottages (www.wavevoice.com) where we stayed during our SURF LIFE retreat, we woke up before the sun, hopped on our motorbikes and headed for the unknown paradise. Once there, we first stopped to admire the massive sculptures being carved out of the cliffs along the path to the beach. Then, down on the sand, as we waited and appreciated the natural beauty around us with only us three and some local fisherman, we witnessed the most magnificent sunrise that looked as if the sky was lit on fire. Riding our motorbikes to catch the sunrise at Pandawa Beach was spontaneous, powerful, unforgettable, and felt like our own treasured secret adventure. By Jenny Burbank"
I went to Pandawa Beach on a sunny day, the weather was great and the surroundings were quite clean and refreshing. The water was clear with nice waves, and the breeze made it feel cooler. It does get pretty hot though, so don’t forget to bring a hat or use some sun protections 👍

🌴 Pandawa Beach – An Unforgettable Experience!
One of the most beautiful beaches in Bali, with soft white sand and clear blue water. The road leading to the beach passes between massive limestone cliffs, giving a dramatic and unique entrance. There are also large stone statues carved into the cliffs — a perfect photo spot!
The beach is family-friendly, with sunbeds and umbrellas available for rent, and small local stalls offering snacks and drinks at reasonable prices.
🏄♂️ You can enjoy kayaking, swimming, or just relaxing by the shore.
📸 Great place for photos and escaping the crowds.
Highly recommend visiting in the morning or during sunset for the best views.

Peaceful and clean beach 🏖️ it was strong waves, so it’s good for surfing not swimming. Will come again when the waves calm, it’ll be amazing for swimming

Pandawa Beach is a peaceful gem, perfect for a sunrise or sunset stroll. Well-maintained and easily accessible by road, it offers a relaxing escape from Bali’s busier beaches. Once considered a "secret beach," it still retains a quiet, uncrowded vibe that makes it ideal for those seeking solitude and scenic beauty. There is however an entry fee to the beach.
The beach is framed by dramatic cliffs, and carved into them are impressive statues of the Pandavas from the Mahabharata—an iconic highlight that gives the beach its name. Be sure not to miss these as you enter.
The shore is lined with a variety of stones, making it a great spot for anyone interested in unique rock or shell collecting. The surrounding landscape is peaceful, making it perfect for a long walk or quiet reflection.
If you're driving or riding a scooter, the journey to the beach is just as enjoyable—winding roads with beautiful coastal views. Whether you're looking to start your day with a calm sunrise or end it with a golden sunset, Pandawa Beach is a serene, scenic, and culturally rich destination worth visiting.

The beach is beautiful and not crowded. Entrance fee local Rp. 8000 and Foreign Rp. 15000. We booked 2 sunbeds with an umbrella, and the price we paid for 3 hours is Rp 100,000.
There are a few "Warung" available on this beach serving local foods, etc. Nasi goreng, mee goreng, Bakso. We had our meals, one of the Warung and the foods is delicious, freshly prepared foods.
When we arrived, we didn't notice anyone surfing on the beach.
We saw many people were on paragliding and kayaking.

Really nice beach with many warungs lining the beach front. Entry was about 8k each (local price) and 3k for the bike. It was recently on The Amazing Race and easy to identify the places where the tasks were complete. Really worth a visit!

Visiting this beach was one of the best part of our trip to Bali.
So many great things about this place, road to the beach is amazing for photography, there are statuses of 5 Pandawas.
So many local shops which are very affordable.
We did kayaking which was a great experience and the price were so cheap.
Because of the coral reefs deposit, this beach gets very less waves so it's great for swimming.
This beach is still not heavily commericaliszed like some other beaches so it was less crowded and very enjoyable.

Gorgeous and cannot wait to come back here one day and just relax and explore and enjoy the entire day. I only was here for 3 hours and it was not enough time.
