After over 20 years of loyally shopping at Pandora, I now will not return after being bare-faced lied to.
I took in some items, nearly all of which I had bought from Pandora in the first place, to place on consignment. I was insultingly lowballed, and treated very dismissively. For example, I brought a fur jacket that I bought from Pandora only 6 months ago for £1800. The lady in charge of valuation offered me £70 for it! And then lied and said that ‘this isn’t something we would sell’ despite them literally selling it to me.
Similarly, I bought a Chanel bag from them for approaching £3000 and she again lied and said it was only worth £500.
I should add that this was not part of an in depth or considered valuation process. She simply glanced at the items, didn’t even pick them up to inspect them or to check their authenticity, and reeled off figures like we were in a car boot sale.
This is my first time trying to sell through Pandora and it’s disgraceful that they would try to scam loyal shoppers into consigning their items with them at significantly below market value, to maximise their margins.
