"Deep inside beautifully designed Pandora — The World of Avatar is Disney's best ride: Avatar Flight of Passage. Soar around Pandora on the back of a banshee in this 'Avatar'-themed attraction. It's difficult to compare classic dark rides like Pirates and Haunted Mansion to the state-of-the-art, innovative attractions that have debuted at the parks in recent years, but this ride combines a super-immersive 3D simulator with top-notch theming to create a breathtaking experience you won't find elsewhere." - Travel + Leisure Editors

Pandora – The World of Avatar at Disney is hands down the most incredible theme park area I’ve ever visited. From the moment you step in, you feel like you’ve entered another world. The floating mountains, glowing plants, and breathtaking scenery are absolutely magical, especially at night when everything lights up. The attention to detail is unbelievable—every inch of the land is designed to fully immerse you in the world of Avatar. The Flight of Passage ride is one of the most mind-blowing experiences I’ve ever had. It’s thrilling, emotional, and so realistic that you truly feel like you’re flying on a banshee. Even the food and drinks are unique and themed to match the world, which adds to the immersive experience. This place completely exceeded my expectations. If you’re going to Disney, you absolutely cannot miss Pandora. It’s not just a theme park—it’s an unforgettable adventure.

What a beautiful piece of artwork this land is! Even though I wish it were bigger with an additional ride and restaurant, the effort and detail that went into creating Pandora is exactly what you’d hope for from Disney (please put that level of care and immersion in your new hotels). My only regret is I’ve never see this land at night. I assume the lighting is spectacular!

The Hallelujah Mountains come into view in a breathtaking way, as you get closer they become more and more incredible, it's as if you were truly in Pandora, if you like the movie, you will love this place.

All the Disney parks are truly magical! Beautiful moments shared that will become unforgettable memories…❣️🦋💫

When I first came to Pandora in Disney I was already a massive Avater fan and I had high hopes and expectations, they were NOT disappointed! It truly takes you Pandora and the emotional experience for a fan is amazing the background noises are spectacular, you hear the yelps and growls of viperowolves and other Pandoran animals, the food in the cantina is AMAZING it would have to be some of my favorite dinning in all of Disney, and the rides are also top tier Avater flight of passage is one of the most immersive and breathtaking rides in Disney, the Na’vi river journey is a nice way to relax and had one of the most life like animatronics I have ever seen and probably the best in Disney, in summery this place is worth the wait for the rides and one of my favorite places in all of Disney

Amazing details, food and attractions. Food is very well-themed, and very delicious. Both of the two rides are amazingly cool and amusing.

It really does transport you to the World of Avatar. The design and feel of it is stunning. Even for a person who hasn't seen any of the Avatar movies. I imagine this land to be all illuminated at night. That would be a sight to see. There's also a cool poké bowl restaurant here. It was my second choice, so we didn't get to dine there this time around. What's interesting is that the menu has boba balls as a topping. A cool little bubble bling with your bowl. It's definitely a place I want to try in the future. We did get to ride on Na'vi River Journey, but sadly didn't get to Avatar Flight of Passage. We started in Asia and ended in Pandora. The lines were too long by the time we got there in the afternoon time. I recommend getting a LL, or adding it to your early entry strategy. This is where many people were going after the rope drop. Hopefully we'll get to experience it next time. I wish we could have stayed here a little longer, but it was a long day for us. It will definitely be our first stop on our next visit.

This was amazing! Be sure to visit during the non-daylight savings time in order to see the big light show around the end of the day. When I visited recently, the sky was still too bright for the show. I got into the line for the ride about 15 mins before the park closed, so I'd get a chance to see the amazing job the Parks creative team did.

Yelp
Camera time. It's a work of art. The creativity and imagination needed to make this come to life. If looks and feels so immersive. Highly recommend seeing this once in your life!

Yelp
Pandora is definitely the highlight of Disney's Animal Kingdom. This place will blow your mind with all its attention to detail. Disney did an incredible job at recreating the feel of Pandora, and the rides are such wonderful experiences. Would have loved to have seen it at nighttime, but the park closing time and longer summer daytime didn't allow for it. We did, however, get to ride the Na'vi River Journey ride, so we got a taste of being immersed in Pandora at night, which was amazing. Such an incredible experience, and this place is not to be missed!

Yelp
Pandora- The World of Avatar is located inside Disney's Animal Kingdom. If I am being honest, I didn't even know this was a thing until I got to the park lol My friend and I stumbled upon The World of Avatar and were pleasantly surprised. The architecture and colors are gorgeous! It is so fun to walk around and see this amazing world that was created. I wasn't a huge fan of the Avatar movies- they were okay. But seeing how they brought it to life, was pretty awesome! I would say my only gripe, is the ride was way up- like you have to go hiking basically to get to the 3D ride. That felt very unnecessary since it is a ride that you just sit in a room and are giggled around in that same space. The hike was not fun and steep in some places. It was rainy the day we went, and my friend fell down on the ground. Other than that, this land is cool. And oh- we couldn't find French fries anywhere in The World of Avatar. Lame lol

Babette C.

Yelp
This was a beautiful ride and as it is with most dark rides, this is one you want to do to get out of the sun and the heat. We went on a stormy day and it was still night since the ride is a very wet experience. The vie is very Avatarish/New Agey which means it's pretty, but very zen and kinda boring. If you're an Avatar fan, I'm sure this plae is like heaven to you, but I'm definitely not a fan (in fact I loathe the movies, but I was game to give this a chance) and the ride was just okay from the outside looking in. At least the ride took awhile. Just really glad I got to try this as a Lightning Lane because I think I would have hated it if I had to wait in a long line for this.

Yelp
Animal Kingdom is my favorite theme park at Disney World. Pandora, the World of Avatar is one of Animal Kingdom's newest additions. The land is based on the movie series "Avatar." This area is absolutely breathtaking! It brings the world of Pandora to life! You can see floating mountains in the distance and bioluminescent flora. In the evening time, you can see the cement pavements lighting up. It feels like your transported into a different world! There are two different rides in Pandora. One is the Avatar Flight of Passage attraction and the Na'vi River Journey. The Avatar Flight of Passage is a 3D flying experience. When you're on the ride, you are virtually transported, as you ride on a back of a banshee and you soar through the skies of Pandora. It feels incredibly realistic! It is the most popular ride at Animal Kingdom. Be prepared for a wait, otherwise you can buy a lightning lane for the Avatar Flight of Passage. The price can vary from $10-$20 a person, depending on how busy the theme park is! The other theme park ride located in Pandora is the Na'vi River Journey. It's a boat ride, slow, and dark that takes you through a rainforest. During the journey, you'll see native flora and fauna in Pandora. Towards the end of the ride, you'll see a shaman of songs, an animatronic figure. There is a Disney Genie+ for this ride, however, it can get booked up if you wait until the afternoon to queue for this ride in the Disney Genie+. The Satu'li Canteen is the main dining venue in Pandora. The food consists of bowls such as beef bowl, shrimp bowl, chicken bowl and much more! This restaurant has some of the healthier options at the Animal Kingdom theme park. Windtraders is the merchandise store that you'll see as soon as you get off of the Avatar Flight of Passage ride. It has a wide range of Avatar- themed merchandise! If you're arriving at rope drop to Animal Kingdom, I'd highly recommend riding the Avatar Flight of Passage as the first ride. The wait time in the afternoon can get to be several hours. As soon as you see the tree of life, you'll want to take a left to get to Pandora. This is a must visit and awe-inspiring area at Animal Kingdom!

Yelp
Pandora - The World of Avatar, located in Disney's Animal Kingdom, brings James Cameron's Avatar to life. From the moment you step foot on Pandora, you are instantly transported into an otherworldly immersive experience like no other. While attending ADP Pro Sunmit 2024's Evening at Disney's Animal Kingdom, my colleague and I had the privilege of experiencing Pandora at night with all of its bioluminescence effects on its flora. As a fan of the movies and the video game, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, I geeked out when I saw so much world-building attention to detail with features such as the glowing fictional plants Bladder Polyps (Rawp) and Vein Pods (Värumut). Speaking of attention to detail, the Na'vi River Journey was bursting with it throughout its scenic rainforest boat cruise. My only complaint is that it didn't feature more Na'vi animatronics within it. As for the other major attraction, Avatar Flight of Passage, it was simply breathtaking. The ride makes you feel like you have your own Na'vi avatar and are soaring over Pandora on an Ikran. This is a ride worth experiencing multiple times during single day's visit. Unfortunately, the gift shop, Windtraders, was closed, so I didn't get to experience it, but I'll definitely check it out the next time I'm there. There is much more I look forward to experiencing at the park the next time I visit; nonetheless, to say I had fun while I was there would be an understatement. The next time you plan a trip to Walt Disney World, make sure to include Pandora - The World of Avatar on your itinerary.

Yelp
I barely remember the first Avatar movie. I fell asleep during it. In spite of that lack of exposure, I enjoyed my visit to Pandora in Disney's Animal Kingdom. Pandora has a fun look. I enjoyed the 2 Avatar rides we rode. I'd like to spend more time in this part of the park the next time I'm at Animal Kingdom.

Tiffany D.

Yelp
Avatar land! Must check out when in Animal Kingdom. It's very much like Avatar! Night lights on the cement pavements at night, is so magical and dreamy!

Brett J.

Yelp
The world of Pandora right before your eyes. What an unbelievable visual spectacular! Talk about an amazing feat of engineering! You have to see it to feel it! I was just stunned at what they have done here. It is truly mind blowing. I was in awe... I didn't even need the rides... the land they built is so completely amazing I was enthralled. It is truly a wonder and a must see. My pics pale in comparison to the live view... you just can't capture the feel of this in a picture. You must experience it in person!

Emily L.

Yelp
I absolutely love how realistic this is. It felt like you were a part of the movies. Love the variety of rides the beautiful detail that went into creating this section of the park. Everything is very clean. I also like that there was a good amount of shade to protect us from the Florida sun. 10/10!!!!

Isabella K.

Yelp
Very beautiful - one of my favorite places in Disney. The virtual reality ride is really popular and usually has a very long waiting time. It got me a bit nauseous but it's definitely a great ride. There's another slow boat ride. I also enjoyed trying the funky drinks and the cheesecake pineapple spring roll.

Megan L.

Yelp
I love the atmosphere of Pandora! It feels like you are in the movie. Just listen to all the sounds as you walk through Pandora. I recommend checking it out at night, it's so beautiful!

Madison L.

Yelp
We've eaten lunch here a couple times now and I have to say it's probably our favorite spot to get a meal in animal kingdom. While it's quick service style, the prices are decent, the portions are big, and the food is high quality. I'll also say that this is probably the healthiest meal you can find in the park. You pick a protein, a base, and a sauce for your bowl. I got the sliced grilled beef with a base of sweet potato hash and red peppers with the creamy herb sauce. The meal is very on theme for avatar and balanced. I've had the shrimp, the desserts, and the noodles previous visits and those are great too. If you want to avoid park nuggets and burgers, this is the perfect place!

Jacky C.

Yelp
I have never watched any of the Avatar movies, but from what I can remember seeing trailers, Disney really brought Pandora to life and it's amazing what they did. You really feel like you're in their world. This section of Animal Kingdom houses the number one ride in the park, which is Flight of Passage. They also have a very relaxing boat ride if you're looking to cool off from the hot sun, called Na'vi River Journey. Pongu Pongu is located here also, which I recommend checking out for some good snacks.

Thomas S.

Yelp
I had never watched the two Avatar movies. However, the dark indoor ride was visually interesting. The animation and artistic creations were very alien. I definitely felt like I was in a different world.

Joseph G.

Yelp
Full disclaimer. I'm not a fan of the avatar movies. However this world they created and ride are top notch. Disney really set the bar high for the future on this area. I kinda wish it was a movie I enjoyed more. However it does not take away from the beautiful visuals and fun rides in this area. I haven't gotten to return back from when it first opened but the lines and wait times were through the roof for this attraction. However it was newer. As fun as it was I can imagine it will remain really popular.

Beth E.

Yelp
I have ridden this ride many times and still love it. Even though the wait time is always long, you keep moving so it doesn't feel as bad. If you take time to look at all the little details throughout, it's also pretty cool. The ride itself is amazing. I am someone who has motion sickness, but for the most part I can manage this ride. There are a few points that I have to close my eyes. I love sitting next to someone who hasn't ridden it to hear how excited they are. It really is amazing and one of the longer rides at Disney.

Benny H.

Yelp
If you like Avatar then this is the place to visit! Couple of rides and plenty for the kids to do. They spent a lot of money on this place! A fun time to be had!

Boon C.

Yelp
Disney Animal Kingdom has transformed the alien world to reality. The flying rock in Pandora is unique. It is the icon of the area. Although there were no Banshee but it is still look awesome. There are two ride in the area. The first one is the Navi river journey. This one is the good ride to the journey of Navi night forest. I would suggest you need to do this ride if first if you come at the opening of the Animal Kingdom park. Because this line will get long. I like this ride is because easy, relaxing, great night scenery, good forest ride. You will celebrate the life of Forest. The second ride is the Avatar Flight of Passage. You will be simulated with Banshee and fly together as one. I would said this is the best ride of the whole Disney. Love it. You will go through the world of Avatar from the sky. Enjoy the drop down, fly through, tight turn and more. The 3D gargoyle make the scene more realistic. Just like you are flying. The Avatar world is very well done. Many picture spot.

Katy C.

Yelp
Pre-COVID review I hadn't been to Animal Kingdom since the Pandora Avatar land opened, so I was interested in checking it out on our last visit. My boyfriend and I arrived at rope drop to try to beat the long Flight of Passage wait times but weren't too successful. The queue for that ride winds all throughout the entire Pandora area, so we got to see quite a bit of it. I think the floating islands are pretty impressive but not that great to look at in daylight. I wish we could have seen this area at night when it's all glowing and colorful. During the day it's just a little blah with a bunch of green and brown things everywhere. The land itself is not as immersive as Galaxy's Edge in Hollywood Studios, but it also lacks the signage and wayfinding that I would expect to see in a less themed park. I was having a tough time finding some spots on the map. I still think it's weird that this was the theme that was chosen as I am not a fan of Avatar but I did enjoy the two main Avatar rides (Flight of Passage especially). If you're a big fan of the movie, you won't want to miss this area.

Amanda L.

Yelp
I still cannot get over how INCREDIBLE this land is! Animal Kingdom was always a fun park to visit but now since they had unveiled Pandora it makes it a must visit! From the minute you step into this land- you are instantly transported to the World of Pandora. The cast members here are great at their jobs keeping up with that immersive experience for all who visit. There's a great appreciation I feel towards the details the imagineers incorporated when creating and developing their vision for Pandora. It's beautiful to look at. However, I suggest if you plan on staying around a bit try to stay when it gets dark. The whole land becomes illuminated with the bioluminecense lights. It's a beautiful sight to see. There's two attractions here in this land the Flight of Passage Ride and the Navi River Journey ride. Definitely try to go on both but if you only seem to have time to wait for one- wait in line for the Flight of Passage ride! That ride was absolutely amazing! It's a 4D simulator ride where you ride on your own Ikraan and go on an adventure. It's worth the wait and a fun ride for all ages and the queue is extrenely interesting to experience. It's a great ride to cool off in to escape the Florida heat. There's also some little food kiosks/drink kiosks where you can buy some alcoholic beverages. Additionally, there's Sautuli's Canteen which provides a great selection of Pandora themed food dishes at affordable prices. If you're coming to Animal Kingdom be sure to make a stop in this land. There's so much to see and do that it may end up being the highlight of your Disney trip!

Anne F.

Yelp
I think Pandora is my favorite spot in Disney. Yes- out of every park and every mini-park inside of them- Pandora wins for me. Sorry, Galaxy's Edge. You are amazing- but I prefer the vibes here. It's a jungle oasis. Floating mountains. Green everywhere. Waterfalls. At night the whole world glows. The small shows focus on connecting with nature. There are little sustainable touches throughout the land as well (like there are throughout Animal Kingdom in general.) I love the food at the quick service restaurant and the snacks at the shack near the gift shop. I've never found anything that calls my name in the gift shop- but I always spend time browsing in case something catches my eye so I can take a little piece of this world back home with me. I adore the Flights of Passage ride, feeling the banshee breathe under me as I soar is just so cool. I'm already obsessed with the music from Avatar so hearing it on both rides and throughout the park gives me chills. There is shade and I can always find a great place to sit and people watch. My most recent visit was February 2020, with everything going on in the world today I'm not sure when I will be able to return. I do know when I plan my next Disney trip a visit (or two, or three) to Pandora will be a high priority.

Linn P.

Yelp
Try to come here at night. It's at its most beautiful and magical! We've seen it at the rising golden sun and at mystical night time. At night time everything lights up and comes to life! The towering mountains and boulders and waterfalls make it feel so immersive like you're in a different world that's magical!

Marci S.

Yelp
Lines for everything at the park today are incredibly long. This ride had a wait time of almost 3 hours. Disney is milking people with Genie and Magic Bands for very dollar after raising park admission prices. Not the happiest place on Earth.

Lorie L.

Yelp
It's gorgeous! I'm disappointed in myself for not watching the movie and understanding the theming better. You're going to take fantastic pictures here, with or without people. The two rides are popular and lines are lengthy. Try to get a fast pass for your ride of choice. Disney will limit you to only one in Pandora. Check out the percussion/drum show. It's out in the open and so energetic. We got caught up in it while passing by and I'm glad we didn't keep walking. Plenty of snack carts and places to get food are in Pandora. If you enter the park early some may not be open until later.

Vanessa S.

Yelp
I love Disney but I am not fan of rides; however Pandora was an exception! The Avatar Flight of Passage ride in Pandora was one of the best Disney rides ever! The moment you see Pandora the world of Avatar, OMG its jaw-dropping. It will make you feel like you are in the movie from every detail they put into it. The tall floating mountain background was very picture worthy! As we went inside, my eyes were overwhelmed by the bioluminescent forest, the laboratory setting, and everything in the movie that was brought to real life. For the ride, you will have to do a training to become a Navi and train you how to ride the Banshee. It was very interactive which made me feel like the 3 hour wait was short. The 4D Banshees-eye view experience of Pandora was something that I really enjoyed. It felt like I was really riding a Banshee as you will feel it breathing with the effects of wind and smells of the forest and sea! This is a ride that I recommend everyone to try and experience! But its definitely not something that people with motion sickness will enjoy. If you are adventurous, head to Pandora soon!

Manesseh I.

Yelp
Animal Kingdom's big Pandora /Avatar part of the park...Really hoping for more out of this ride. Stood in an hour long line to experience this attraction...was underwhelmed and felt they could have done more to represent the Na'vi characters. It is a "boat cruise"...in the dark with blue light features and water throughout. Similar to Peter Pan experience in Magic Kingdom if you will but slightly updated. Great place for parents to bring their kiddies not necessarily a WOW factor for teens. Team members aren't friendly and seem more put out they have to answer questions. You will also not be allowed to leave the queue if you need to use the bathroom. Pros: *great for kids 12 and under kids under 5 will not get it... *if your tired of standing in the line great to get off your feet and cool off *you want your kids to see "an avatar" the animatronics are good on the goddess. *it's visually colorful (blue light) Cons: * long lines 50+ is standard for this ride *can't leave to use bathroom *not allowed to drink or eat in the line *rude team members that act annoyed to be there If given the chance to ride again... I would not unless there was zero people in line waiting and I have had a double Tito's and water LOL... Great for kitties and that's about it

Tairyn A.

Yelp
It's about time for Animal Kingdom got a cool area We are people lined up for hours to get a peek at such is the thing with Pandora the world of avatar. I have been to Animal kingdom several times and the one thing that my whole family can agree on, is that while we like it because we love animals, it isn't the most exciting of the Disney parks. We actually planned this trip to be able to do the avatar ride my husband had been dying to do: Flight of Passage. We didn't have annual passes so we just bought one of those hopper 4 day tickets we came in first thing in the morning and proceeded to what was a four hour wait line. And yes, you heard it right, we waited over four hours for one ride, after which we immediately proceeded to leave the park because we have done everything else and we were frankly tired LOL. The area is very cool though they were able to incorporate many of the aspects from the movie and although I did not see it illuminated at night, it looked very impressive during the day time as well. All in all it is very impressive and leaves up to the hype. We shall be back but with a fastpass!

Bill S.

Yelp
What a great addition to Animal Kingdom, it's now my number 2 Disney park because of Pandora world. There are two attractions, the Avatar Flight of Passage and the Na'vi River Ride. Both attractions were incredible, let's review each attraction: Avatar Flight of Passage is filled with technical wizardry, it takes your breath away. I though the Tower of Terror effects were game changers, this attraction now holds the award. Think Soarin' except there are no rows of people being lifted up free style. Instead you straddle something similar to a motorcycle and a back brace skooches you in for support. When it starts, you are zippin thru Narnia! (Pandora? That place, just go with it) Getting off the bike after it's over, it's kind of a letdown, I wanted more. That's the Disney magic of it all. The Na'vi River Ride, think Pirates of the Caribbean style ride but updated for the 21st century. Your shown to a log style water craft and your drifting into the beautiful world of Pandora. There are so many visuals, if you look up you'll see big leaves moving with crazy creatures. The special effects throughout the attraction are incredible. No one does an experience better than the magic of Disney. The world at night is supposed to be beautiful, all lit up in color. I'll be back again to see this beautiful attraction. It's worth the time to get up at the crack of dawn and bum rush the line when the park opens to avoid waiting in line. Timing is everything. *Pro tip - If your a hotel guest, you're able to enter the attraction one hour earlier than regular park guests.

Johnelle C.

Yelp
Wow how did they build this?  Walking into Pandora is like walking into the movie.  It is just beautiful in the day and the night.  From the plants to the music to the floating islands.  This is a magical place.  The photopass opportunities are fun, especially the one with the waterfall in the background. I would recommend coming here first before the lines for the rides build.

Bunny G.

Yelp
Wow! As "First Time" visitors to the park we were pleasantly surprised with Avatar. It's an experience you shouldn't miss. Lots of shopping for treasures that bring the movie to life and the entire experience was super fun. You'll come home and want to watch the movie again. We went on the simulator ride and that was on my top 3 best rides of all time. We didn't get a chance to get on the boat ride, but hopefully we'll be back. See the park at night-it glows!! Wow, wow, wow is all that you will say.

Sarah S.

Yelp
Pandora is the newest, coolest land taking you straight into the world of Avatar inside Disney's Animal Kingdom. Sure, you're wondering why Avatar needed a land. I wondered the same. The movie was alright...amazing in 3D in the theater for all the visual effects, but just kind of meh when it came to all else (plot, characters, interest level). Well this Disney land brings all those cool visuals to life and then you quickly understand why they made a section of the park modeled after the movie. There's also the reasoning that there are still a few movies coming out in the franchise and this theme park will only help them in achieving higher box office numbers...but...ya know...it's a cool place. The World of Avatar has it's own language they kind of try to push on you (don't bother wasting your time with that) but is also full of nature & color! Truly a good fit to be situated in Animal Kingdom. When the rope drops at AK, it's a cluster!@$%. Be warned. Satu'li Canteen is the quick service restaurant and only actually food spot in Pandora. There is also Pongu Pongu a stand which serves drinks and have a few small snacks, but Satu'li Canteen is really the only sit down spot. And then the rides are Disney Imagineering at their best. So as you can see, for a brand new (opened June 2017) & super cool land, there isn't a whole lot going on. 2 rides, 1 quick service, 1 drink stand and 1 shop. As a Disney freak, sorry but I want more if you are creating an entirely new section of a park. Especially when both rides average 3 hour waits on a daily basis. If Star Wars & Toy Story open with those same stats, I'm going to be super sad. Must Eat in Pandora: ~The Pongu Lumpia filled with pineapple cream cheese and the Night Blossom drink full of sugar but way too pretty not to order. ~The Blueberry Cream Cheese Mousse from Satu'li Canteen. It's beautiful and delicious! Must Do: ~Both rides. +Avatar Flight of Passage is amazing but if you wait 3.5 hours for it (that's how long the wait while I was there, the slowest part of the year attendance-wise at Disney), you're nuts. Reserve a fastpass! Skip that whole madness and wait 15 minutes max. +Na'vi River Journey, sure there's no plot but i's beautiful! Again though, if you wait 2.5 hours (the wait while I was there), you're nuts. Go to this ride first thing in the morning at rope drop & skip the waiting. ~Windtraders which is the gift shop. There is so much going on in there and completely unique to this gift shop! Pandora is a visually beautiful new section of park in Animal Kingdom but leaves me wanting more! Develop this some more please, Disney, and I'll love you forever.

Yelp
As any frequent reviewer of my posts know, I like to periodically (annually) re-review my reviews as things can change. Sometimes businesses close, get bad, or sometimes, better. This is one of those posts. Yes, I know I've been bad about checking in, but I just had a son, so I've been a bit busy. Plus, since the Pandemic, we've been getting deliveries from here more than actually picking stuff up. Now that we've gone so much, for me, Animal Kingdom is now a MUST visit. It may seem crazy, but just for the Pandora rides alone, this park is worth at least one day. You may find yourself staying for a second, if just for that curry corn. But, of course, this ride, as with the park are currently closed. The Pandora ride is by far the best ride I have ever ridden, and I never moved. Is it worth the 4 hour line? Heck. YES. It's hard to describe this ride, but it really makes you feel like you're on the back of a Banshee, flying through Pandora. From the smell of the mud, to the spray of the ocean, and the breathing of the Banshee under you, it just all feels so real. If this is the future of VR, I cannot wait to see what is out there in another 20 years. Even the line is awesome. You really feel like you're in Pandora, and at night it all lights up, in true bioluminescent fashion. Trust me when I say, when you think you've waited enough, and you want to leave the line, DON'T. It is worth it. Resist your urge to leave. Trust me when I say, when you think you've waited enough, and you want to leave the line, DON'T. It is worth it, and because of this ride's awesomeness, Animal Kingdom is a MUST visit.

Yelp
Pandora is a beautifully created Avatar world. As I was entering the park, the view was breathtaking. It's impossible to capture the spectacular view through photos, but everyone tries. Definitely add this to your trip list when you visit the park.

Yelp
Pandora - The World of Avatar opened at Disneyland Animal Kingdom on May 27th, 2017. This land is set a generation after the events of the Avatar films; as the area is based upon the fictional exoplanetary moon of Pandora, and features Pandora's floating mountains in the Valley of Mo'ara, alien wildlife, and bioluminescent plants. FYI, this area looks so much cooler at night time, so be sure to make a visit here during the evening. There are only two attractions so far, as of January of 2018. They are "Avatar Flight of Passage", which is a flying augmented reality simulator attraction, where guests learn to fly with a mountain Banshee; and the other is "Na'vi River Journey", a boat ride attraction through the Kasvapan River, showcasing the native fauna and flora of Pandora, including Audio-Animatronics and 3-D holograms. FYI.., both of these attractions wait times are extremely long, so it's best to get advanced Fast Passes. The Flight of Passage attraction is so much better than the Na'vi River Journey. The land contains two food locations. The Satu'li Canteen, a quick service restaurant; and the Pongu Pongu, a food and beverage stand. At the end of Flight of Passage, the queue exits into Windtraders, the land's only gift shop. This is the newest land at Walt Disney World, but when Toy Story Land opens up in the summer of 2018, it should make Pandora less crowded; and even less crowded when Star Wars: Galaxy Edge opens up in the summer of 2019. Since there are only two attractions at Pandora right now, expect more to open up when the Avatar sequels are released in the movie theaters on December of 2020.

Yelp
WOW! This ride was AMAZING! Forgive me, but I've never seen the movie & I can tell from this ride, there was so much detail that went into it. My hubby & our son have seen it & I can tell the excitement on their face as we stood in line getting closer to the ride. We did not gave a fast pass, so we did ended up waiting 2 hrs to get on this, but it was so worth it! It is an animated screen ride, so if you're scared of heights or have motion sickness, I do not recommend this for you. I was getting pretty impatient as the first hour went by, then I got pretty excited myself as we kept walking in closer. I don't want to give it away, but from beginning to end, the features are so detailed, you can even feel the animal that you're riding breathing! I screamed in excitement almost the whole ride as I could not get over how cool it was. I really felt like I was in Pandora! I cannot wait to go back. This is actually my favorite park so far & we have visited Universal Studios, Magic Kingdom & Epcot. You also must visit the Pandora world at night. So much illumination, work & detail goes into this overall place. Disney is definitely a magical place!

Yelp
AMAZING!!!! If you are a person that is gifted in imagining impossible things and appreciates visual detail... then Pandora - The World of Avatar will be eye-candy for your soul. Currently it is a small world, but I'm hoping Disney will expand this part of the park over the coming years. I honestly hope it takes over the entire park! How cool would it be if they took the idea of the Tree of Life and gave Pandora a larger than life "Home Tree" like in the movie, or a animatronic zoo full of Pandorian creatures! I only regret that I was not able to stay until evening when Pandora lights up. Oh how I wanted to see that! The Satu'li Canteen Restaurant within Pandora is really wonderful! Other worldly in design and a great unique menu! Disney hit a home run with this one. Get one of the bowls, which you build the same way you would build a poke bowl. Also a home run, or rather grand slam, was the Flight of Passage (similar to Soarin' @ Epcot) and the Na'avi River Journey (similar to It's a Small World @ Magic Kingdom). Both are highly visual but Flight of Passage was so wonderful that I was quite literally sad that it was over! I could have and would have stayed strapped in that seat all day exploring Pandora on the back of a banshee. I wish this was the way you could watch a movie, where you feel like you are there. OVERALL my only complaint would be that I want more and look forward to Disney expanding Pandora in the future. Any fan of the movie should consider this a must visit destination! I typically write long reviews, but Pandora is a must see for yourself sort of place. Words simply can not do it justice. I'm honestly not even sure I was able to process all that I saw, but I am sure that my heart leaped as I turned every corner. As the Na'vi would say: "Hayalovay - until next time" and "Eywa ngahu - may Eywa be with you" 2019/100

Yelp
I cannot believe this is a real place. I cannot believe someone actually sat down and thought of this. The amount of creativity, effort, design, wow just wow. It's a supernatural magical escape, i felt like i was on another planet. The river ride was incredible. I couldnt get a fastpass for the flight of passage and we have back problems so we couldnt wait in the 180 minute line. I'll definitely come back to experience this. Truly a mind-blowing section of AK.

Yelp
# G O R G E O U S I loveeeeeeee how they did Pandora! Photos and words won't do justice to the place so I won't say much. You just need to go! We stayed late at the park JUST to see night time Pandora. My dress glowed, everything glowed! Make sure you get to experience both while you're there! Get the Night Blossom drink at the Pongu Pongu stand! So much fun!

Yelp
This is a really cool addition to the Animal Kingdom in Walt Disney World. It is nice in the day but it's AMAZING at night. If you are a person who doesn't like to wait in line.. well the wait times will bother you but the Flight ride (Flight of Passage) is worth it!!!! It's my favorite, out of all the rides, from all parks!!! it's a real experience... and I wait every single time I go to ride it but I don't mind (for this ride)..... Go and Enjoy!!!

Yelp
Pretty amazing section of Animal Kingdom! Disney really went all out in this section of Animal Kingdom. I feel like I've been swept away to the world of Avatar. Between the faux foliage and scenery, massive suspended rocks and mountains, and the bioluminescence, this place is an amazing experience even without stepping foot on a single ride. That said, the Flight of Passage ride is probably the best experience in any Disney park - get a fast pass, though. The wait is eternal otherwise. The river ride isn't worth the wait or pass in my opinion. Food in this section is a step above other areas of the park - there are healthier options and a larger variety to chose from. There's also a drum circle that kicks off every 1/2 hour that gets the crowd to join in and it's a lot of fun!

Yelp
5 stars to you Disney for pulling off what I thought was impossible; a land of floating islands and put visual delight! Located on the Walt Disney World resort in Orlando Florida within the animal kingdom and quite easily seen from the parking lot... Who could miss a bunch of mounds of floating in the sky? Pandora - the world of avatar is absolutely breathtaking. We visited during the day, but it was clear that the night would be the time to return. As you transition from the main thorough fare of animal kingdom and head towards Pandora you be going to see the transformation. Must be used to cover everything lighting fixtures become seed like pods hanging from polls, all impressive however during the day I would consider the awesomeness nearly 50 to 60% of the awesomeness at night. Wonderful and amazing views of the floating mountains incredible plant life stones and all sorts of natural features that you would expect to see in Pandora. There are photographers galore and many many photo opportunities all around the fly mountains really is sight to be seen in my pics. The rides are going price of, but a review in and of themselves. Let me focus now on returning to Pandora at night. Once we begin to enter Pandora glow-in-the-dark an effervescent paint all over the place things with light enough glowing black lights everywhere it was very very much just like the way you would have seen it in the movie. My children were an absolute awe at the visual stimulation and affects of Pandora. We did get stuck in Pandora in an extremely heavy downpour, and with their not being a substantial amount of shops and other indoor facilities it was somewhat hard to stay dry during the rain. But with that being said it's really not a design flaw because well we should've had ponchos or Umbrella if we wanted to stay dry! It is Florida so it's going to rain... Every day... During the summer. So point in case? It's totally awesome totally totally totally awesome. As I said please see my other reviews for specifics on the flight of passage and the river cruise... Bravo Disney you did the impossible. My only question is why did it take 10 years for this to happen?

Yelp
Get Fast Passes and Prepare to be Amazed by Pandora Plan ahead and try to score fast passes to both Flight of Passage and the Na'vi River Journey. With a Disney Resort hotel booking, you can try to book fast pass tickets to one of these attractions per day 60 days in advance or you can try to book 30 days in advance without a resort reservation. This will save you time as the rides had lines of 295 and 195 minutes each while we were there. The hottest ticket is Flight of Passage and it is mind blowing! The immersive 3D reality flying simulator allows you to "synch" with an avatar to fly over the Valley over Mo'ara. You will feel like you are soaring over the land as you experience the sights, sounds and even smells on your "travels." The Na'vi River Journey is a much calmer, gentle boat ride through a beautiful bioluminescent rain forest. You feel like you are floating in beautiful cave. Not sure that I would wait longer than 30 minutes for this though. We had almost no wait with fast passes to both. If I had to choose one--go for Flight of Passage--or get there when the park opens but remember that there are extended magical hours when Disney Resort guests can arrive one hour earlier. Have fun experiencing the magic of Pandora!

Yelp
I have no idea why Pandora is at Disney, let alone Animal Kingdom, but it is a really gorgeous land. We didn't even bother with the rides. Not a priority for fast pass (which I'm pretty sure were scooped up more than 30 days in advance, except for maybe the river ride.) The land itself looks amazing. It actually reminds me of zones in my favorite computer game Guild Wars 2, especially at night when bioluminescence lights up the area. Really, it's an attraction in and of itself. Plus Satu'li Canteen is an excellent restaurant with unique, tasty offerings and plenty of seating inside and out.

Yelp
This is an amazing visual attraction in the world inside of animal kingdom. You can spend all day there waiting in lines to be honest because everybody in the world is there to ride these rides. But all the cool visuals and things you can look at is well worth it

Yelp
As someone who only saw Avatar last year, I was suspicious of Disney's choice to build Pandora. Before visiting for the first time, I made sure to actually watch the movie, which I firmly believe is necessary to really appreciate the land and rides. Without context, you miss the underlying story and intent behind the whole concept. In other words, you could go in completely blind and appreciate the atmosphere for how cool it looks, but if you watch the movie first, you can increase your sense of immersion. Pandora is definitely unique in its architecture, with giant alien plant life abounding. It's colorful and exotic. One thing missing is the fauna. Plants are cool, but animals are more magical, especially to children. When you stand in line for Flight of Passage, there are a zillion plants but no interesting animatronics, statues, etc. to really capture your attention and immerse you even further. There are distant calls of invisible winged creatures, but that's it. Would a couple hovering banshees have been so hard? In my opinion, it would increase children's desire to scream at their parents in the gift shop to buy them a banshee puppet. Whether you absolutely love the movie or not, Pandora is pretty and worth at least a gander. To enhance your experience, I definitely recommend seeing the film first. I had just never cared to, but it was undeniably helpful in appreciating what the Disney team ultimately created.

Yelp
This ride is part of an amazing area in Animal Kingdom. Pandora is so beautifully done . The attention to detail is astounding. It's very cool in day but breathtaking at night when it's all lit up. This ride has a bruiser wait at all times, usually 2 hours or more. Fast passes seem impossible to get as I've had an annual pass for over a year and never gotten one. So I went for the walk up and wait and wait and wait method. The ride itself is a 3-d ride on a motorcycle type item that moves. The effect is amazingly realistic as you dash around on your banshees. It's a simulator but it didn't make me sick as most do.

Yelp
The most magical experience first time in this experience my family and I enjoy it this is my third time in Disney and I don't get tired of it first time to review it so I totally recommend it
