Average Panera bread. Good location with convenient parking. I did not have small change, but the counter staff were accommodating, went out of their way to get change from their colleagues. Thumbs up for service!

Stood there for 5 minutes no one at the register. Asked a dark haired woman who had already seen me and was walking around if I had to use the self checkout machines. She had an attitude and said she would be right there. I knew from her attitude that I didn't want to eat there. I left.

Service is horrible. Made an order, it was charged to the the debit card, the Panera system didn’t get it. GM wouldn’t even get off the phone just took it from his ear for half a second to say “nothing we can do, deny it with your credit card” after seeing the charge on the bank app.

Good food but Service is terrible. This is the second time we got a messed up order. We ordered off the app and got the wrong soup and some parts of the order didn’t show up. Nobody even does their jobs anymore! We have been ordering from here for a while now and will be the LAST time we will order from here.

Panera bread where you pay diner prices yet order for yourself...serve yourself....clean up after yourself. The bathrooms a mess and this stellar example of a staff member spent the 45 minutes I was there on a FaceTime call in and outside while vaping. Charge fast food prices because everything here, including the mess and the service is basically fast food level

I must be one of the very few folks who never ordered from a Panera Bread restaurant since they went to using iPads for all their ordering! I was astonished st how easy it was to place my lunch order snd how fast it was to pick up my salad, latte and delicious chocolate chip cookie! And everything I ate was delicious and reasonably priced.

Oof, partner just got food poisoning here. First good try had in hours and was feeling it within minutes of leaving. Please be better at food handling! 😕

We ordered a Panini, asiago bagel, and a Mac and cheese entree, which arrived at the right temperature and tasted very good. The staff was helpful and friendly, and there was plenty of seating even though it was peak lunch time.

Panera is my go-to spot for a quick before work breakfast! I especially love their spinach and bacon soufflé - it's perfectly flaky, warm, and packed with flavor. The balance of savory bacon and spinach in a light, cheesy pastry is just right and makes for a satisfying start to the day. Be warned it holds the heat I've burnt my mouth a few times but it's still delicious! The coffee is always fresh, and the variety of options means there's something for everyone. Service can be a bit hit or miss during busy times, but overall, the quality and taste keep me coming back. I always opt to order ahead and hop in the drive thru line it's so much more efficient. I will say it can be difficult to hear using the drive thru from the traffic and noise from route 17 at times. Highly recommend if you're looking for a tasty breakfast and coffee treat that won't break the bank!

Is this a bodega? Sitting in the parking lot I can't even believe what I just stepped out of... first of all the place is filthy and it's blaring Spanish music. I didn't realize how disgusting this Panera is. I won't be returning. I'm surprised for an upscale area This can actually be going on. I mentioned it to my girlfriend's while picking my daughter up from school and they said the same thing about this Panera.. funny too how they're still with the paper straws while all the others have plastic in the area

This is a good, quick spot to get a soup, salad or sandwich. They have good option and the location is very clean. You can order on the app and pick up, or order when you get there.

BEWARE! Really disappointed by our recent Panera visit to the Paramus Park New Jersey location. Pricing for the "You Pick 2" item was not explained to us and it cost over $18 for half a sandwich and a small mac & cheese! (The menu shows $7 and change. The Chili in a bread bowl was over $12, two drinks $7.50 and our FREE cookie wasn't free! Total was $33.42 which is really unacceptable for fast food without table service! On top of that, we didn't get a printed receipt, or we would have known the free cookie wasn't free. For comparison, we ate at Applebees last week for $37: 2 beers, an appetizer and 2 entrees! The pricing up on the wall at Panera is clearly designed to be misleading (I challenge anyone to find the bread bowl price up on that wall!) We will probably never eat at Panera again.

food was good but old lady with glasses working at the front counter was super rude and raised her voice at my family for no reason, later we heard her complaining about how much standing she has to do. Maybe she was just having a bad day or something.

Worker told me to come inside instead of ordering a water from the drive thru. Sounded like she was giving me an attitude. I then proceeded to simply ask why I wasn't able to order and got no response back. I repeated myself multiple times and still nothing. This usually wouldn't be a problem to me, but at least say something instead of leaving me sitting in the drive thru.

July 2020 - curbside pick up through Panera app is good. Staff wears a mask/gloves and comes out to your car door with your order. When ordering delivery, I do not recommend using the Panera App because it took several days to hear back from Panera's customer service when they messed up a big order of mine ($85+). Calling their customer service was impossible as no one picks up. So if an error is made with your delivery through using Uber Eats App for Panera, you get refunded right away on the same day, no questions. Pre-Covid- The drive-thru messes up orders, so make sure you double check your bag before you drive off. The first time they messed up, they left out the oatmeal from my breakfast order. And the second time was 2 days later when they forgot to give my sister her drink with her dinner order.

I will say that they are quick and the food is good. Never had a terrible or pleasant experience. I always order for takeout. They always have it all. Never forgot anything before. The missing stars is because they don't usually have all the items on the menu and they don't go out of their way for customer service. They often run out of ingredients on a regular basis. For example, they never have the pickled onions for the green goddess salad. I kept subbing that for pickled yellow peppers but it isn't the same. Overall, nothing fancy about it and they do an OK job. They are just ok.

Very expensive considering the quality of the food. They even have an extra charge for an "operating fee"! Main course was ok but nothing special. bread was like rubber though. I have no plans to go back.

their only trash bin is @ the very back of the restaurant and the area they set the meals up for pick up is quite far as well, it's not in the middle of the building. the food's fine, their preparation just takes longer than usual compared to my experiences @ other paneras.

We ordered twice through the drive in service, both times missing something. Horrible customer service and would #notreccomend thanks for ruining my Greek salad...or therefore lack off...

Food is good. Portions are Excruciatingly small. The Mac and cheese is typically only 2/3 full and the sandwiches are not even half of what is advertised in the pictures.

i went to this location twice and both times I received a black piece of hair in my salad. When I called all they said was they can only give me a refund if I come back to the store. Honestly, this is completely disrespectful and I got no closure that the issue was going to be fixed. I received the dry comments and no apology. I do not recommend this location whatsoever.

Disappointed with my Bacon Turkey Bravo sandwich. I ordered a whole. For that amount of money I expected more than 2 slices of deli Turkey and I slice of cheese on each half of the sandwich. It was bulked up with plenty of lettuce and 2 thicker slices of tomato. I stopped here on a shopping trip with my daughter so it was my first time at Panera.And my last. Value for the money is poor

Although I am typically a fan of Panera's food, this location is terrible. Each time we order from here there is an issue with the food. This past time my frontega chicken sandwich was missing the chicken. It was quite literally a piece of bread with toppings and not one piece of chicken. There has been so many problems on so many occasions that even though it's a convenient location we will still go out our way to visit other locations if we want Panera.

This Panera was a convenient stop for lunch, located right off Route 17. I liked that they had a lot of self-service kiosks, so there was no wait to order, and it also made it easy to find out exactly what was in every dish. The food came out quickly, and we went at an off-peak time, so there was a lot of seating. The mac and cheese at Panera is one of my favorite things there, and I liked the baja version (with pico de gallo and avocado) that I got for the first time here. My tuna sandwich was good and what I expected based on previous Panera visits. Overall, we had a good experience here and would return if in the area looking for something quick and easy.

I came here on a Sunday evening, and it was low key. Not crowded at all, too quiet for a Panera bread in one of the busiest parts of Bergen County. Since the "Blue Laws" are in effect today there's no need to worry about parking and chaos. They share parking with other outdoor stores in this shopping center, but plenty of parking otherwise. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Very friendly and helpful staff, including an attentive manager. He came out to greet the customers, and to take away their trays and waste. I was impressed to see such kindness and hospitality.

This is easily the better of the two Panera Bread locations on Route 17 in Paramus. So you're on Route 17 North and craving a panini or a bread bowl soup. Where do you go? Depends on what you need. This Panera is located a little away from where you probably need to go, further north on Route 17 from most of the main shopping. But what you get in exchange is a higher chance that your food is made correctly. Easily one of the better Panera Breads you'll go to in the area.

I go to this Panera almost every morning for coffee. They are so nice, attentive, and happy to help. The manager is kind and is hands on helping the staff. The area is clean and food is great. We often get sandwiches from here for a quick weeknight dinner. they always get our order right!

This Panera is clean, friendly, and has expeditious service. It's never really crowded and there seem to be plenty of seating available. They have a sealed off "fireplace" towards the left but almost out of sight, out of mind. But you'll find that there are people doing work. It's a pretty decent space for that since it's mainly quiet... your mileage may vary. Last time I was here there were a lot of loud talkers. Food was good, the usual for a Panera location. And parking is ample, just don't miss the turn off Route 17 or else you'll have to drive a while to loop back around!

Came in for quick lunch and everything was great. The service, food coffee everything was good. The parking is a little pack during the lunch time but you will be able to find a spot or you can order a head of time.

Good service! Staff was attentive to cleaning tables and clearing plates. Spacious enough for people to enjoy a meal or to spend few hours working. I enjoy this location, they do a good job.

Very slow service. I ordered the Mac and grilled cheese sandwich. When I bit in the sandwich I almost broke my tooth on the hard pieces of cheese that were not melted. The sandwich was cold with hard chunks of cheese. I tossed it in the garbage.

This is a pretty good location. Food is always good and the service is fast. If your going north it's at a convenient spot on route 17. I've never been disappointed at this location.

This location has 3 stars. I have chosen to award it 4 on the basis of my Mac and Cheese. You see, I love an artist called Mac Demarco. He is a Canadian musician that makes love songs. His lyrics speak to my heart, not dissimilar to how this Mac and cheese spoke to my belly. When I get a chance to eat a meal named after one of my favorite artist I am definitely going to do it. $8.39 is a lot for a modest size portion of pasta. But when in some I suppose. Bathroom was in good spec. 4 stars

Completely unprofessional! Made an online catering order the night before for a pick up at 8:15am the next day, received a confirmation for the order and when we went to pick it up it wasn't even started yet. They claimed "no one printed out the order form" but said the order can be made and delivered in 15 minutes. So, we decided to leave and go wait AT THE DOCTORS OFFICE WHERE ALL THE DOCTORS WERE WAITING. After an hour, no one showed up so we call them only to hear "she left 5 minutes ago". Ok. Giving the Benefit of the doubt, maybe the driver did just leave I'll be patient. Fast forward another 45 minutes, still nothing?!?! (Delivery is from Paramus to Glen rock) I get it, mistakes happen. I worked in the restaurant business for many years, managed a few as well. But if the restaurant makes a mistake, you take responsibility not make excuses. Update:: it's now 10:10am and the order just arrived and they said the order will be cancelled and we will be refunded the almost $200. We will see. Needless to say, we will not be ordering from this location from here on out.

Panera grilled cheese is the worst!! They gave my 3 year old daughter one slice of burned cheese on overly hard bread.. she couldn't even bite into it and literally cried when looking at it !! This has actually happened to me at other Panera locations before. Awful.

Nice establishment - I like the size and layout. Plenty of self-checkout kiosks and the food is brought to you if you dine-in. I have a test for every Panera I go to - the French Onion Cheese Test. Basically, my hubby and I are diehard fans of French onion soup, but I can't stand cheese. I always customize mine to be without cheese, and you won't believe how hard it is for some Panera branches to remember to accommodate this request... yes nerdy I know. This branch failed the test of customization. Also forgot to get me my drink. And as others mentioned portion sizes can be smaller than usual. Even though it's a nicer physical setup than a lot of other (older) Panera locations, service is pretty much the same.

I had no idea there was a drive-through Panera Bread in Paramus! What a great concept. Even though there are countless places along Route 17 to grab lunch it's always fun when a new place pops up. I was skimming all of the places along route 17 and decided to try the new Panera. The drive thru line gets very long -almost all the way into the parking lot and it does take some time. Remember, you are not ordering a McChicken at McDonald's (which was my lunch yesterday - and it was quite speedy!) Some of this food has to be put together. I tried to be healthy today so I got half a Caesar salad. The sizes of the salads come in a quarter, a half, or a whole. I figured a half should be good but I was wrong! The salad was so tiny that I was starving after I ate it. Thank God for the free piece of bread they give you or else I would have had to stop and get more food. I wound up dipping the bread in the remainder of the Caesar dressing. Overall the salad was very tasty and fresh however very small. Always order one size up, in the salads at least.

A DRIVE THRU PANERA?! This place is the literal future. With touch screen kiosks and automated table trackers, there's no need for human interaction here! Computers and gps are all you need to get yourself a tasty meal. Seriously though, this was a good idea. Through the kiosk I was able to order the "you pick two" and fully customize my sandwich (which if I had ordered with an associate, would make me look like a huge douche.) The inside is super cozy, even sporting an elevated fireplace. Plenty of places to sit, just do us all a favor and clean up after yourself when you're done please! I don't see why this place is getting so much hate. So far this is the coolest Panera I've ever been to. I have yet to use the actual drive thru, but if and when I do I shall update!

THIEVES! If they don't have something for your online order they will tell you they will refund you but do not. If you are ordering a large order for pick up do it in many small orders otherwise your order goes to "the back" and they don't start it until you come in. Places a pick up order at 7:25, said it would be ready at 8:25. It wasn't started until 8:25 and then we were sent home without mini scones because they were out. Manager handed us the bag and we asked if the scones were in there and he said no we are out and then ignored us. We were told he would refund my payment and that was 3 days ago.

I ordered a Caesar salad without chicken. They have not only increased their prices but also reduced the amount of the food. It was like 2/3 bowl, even less than their other salads!!

Nice spot, has drive thru if your in hurry. Food was good and fresh. Price was average. Nice selection of soups , salads & sandwiches. Place is clean and comfortable. Will be back next time I'm in the area. On my recent visit there again, the manager was extra helpful when I was having a hard time getting my order customized on the self help order pad. It was refreshing to see a store manager make the extra effort to help a customer.

I have been super excited since I saw the sign come up on rt 17 saying Panera Bread coming soon, so much so that I drove thru the drive thru on the Friday before they opened thinking I would of been one of their first customers..NOPE. The told me they would open later that week and this past Saturday I had my first time trying this location. I pulled up to the window and placed an order for my boyfriend and I. I ordered two pick 2's with half frontega chicken sandwich and a broccoli cheddar soup with bread for both. The service was fast and friendly and the staff here was very pleasant to deal with. My food was packaged very travel friendly with the soups being placed in some sort of non spill contraption that I appreciated. My sandwiches on the other hand looked perfect until I took a bite and tasted nothing but burnt bread. They must of placed my sandwiches on an uncleaned grill and in the end it gave my sandwich a burnt taste overall. I will give them the benefit of the doubt being they just opened and could of been super busy but that is whats holding me back from giving them a 5 star experience.

There are 3 Panera Breads in Paramus if you can believe it. We normally go to the one in Paramus Park but wanted to try this one that's on Route 17 North -- this can't be more than 2 miles from the other location. Paramus Design Center is the new shopping area with Equinox and other outlets. Parking is a little tight. The inside is fairly spacious, a bit smaller than the one in Paramus Park. They have online ordering now, which actually seemed to make the process take longer. But the standard Panera menu. We like this location although we prefer the Paramus Park one overall for the milieu. This one, however, isn't subject to the blue law and is open on Sundays.

I stop here 3X a week on my way to work. My food is always waiting for me and the place is always super clean and the staff is amazing. The manager Aron runs a tight ship and the team members Wilma behind the counter is always smiling and uplifting. The Chef...Sonya makes great meals and always gets my order right! I have a lot of choices for my meals, but none compare to Panera Bread and especially this location! Jeff M.

You been to one you been to all. Let's be honest, a Panera Bread is made to look, feel, and taste the same no matter what location you go to. It is a solid pick for soup, sandwich, and coffee. What makes this one a little "cooler" is that it has a drive through - awesome! It also has one of those table beeper things (see picture ha) that actually results in them finding you and bringing you your food vs you getting up and grabbing it from the counter - a big plus! This is a newer location so they are still ironing out their kinks but location, drive through, and selection is good and a solid choice for lunch. The inside is also new and nice including the fireplace in the back.

Yes their soups are delicious. There is no reason why I should spend more than Ten dollars for an empty sandwich. It has happened twice already! I order a pick two and the sandwich literally comes with two pieces of bread and maybe a slice of onion and a small piece of lettuce!!!!!!! What is going on! I really despise when a company takes advantage of a customer! My husband and I both ordered the pick two and both tuna sandwiches came with no tuna!!!!!! Really? Route 17 the Design center location. Never returning, Never! Panera, you should be ashamed of yourselves!!!!!

The food is fine. My issue is with the girl working the register at 2:00 today who cannot add or subtract. My order came 14.09. I gave her $20.09. She gave me back 5.91. She closed the drawer. I said I gave you 20.09. She said I handed it to her too late. I said ok. Can you give me back the .09? She said no. She closed the drawer already. Ok but I said it the incorrect change. She said I cannot give you back the correct change. Seriously?!? What has this generation come to? She really thought I was the one with the issue. Entitlements. Ugh

The location is new but hate the entrance and exit as it is like a jig saw puzzle. Lanes crosses over each other as well as entrance is very close to an on ramp making hard to enter and exit. I like their food offerings as well as the ability to order online for Rapid Pick Up. Unfortunately 3 of 4 times the packed order was incorrect. Ordering from the counter resulted in pretty much incorrect orders as well plus the cashier/order individual on last visit was not that friendly. It didn't help that it was just one person with at least 5 waiting on the line to order. I gave them 4 stars solely on the quality and offering of the food. I als I like the way they utilize technology but unfortunately we as humans still make mistakes. Case in point we order two tomato soups and ended up with 1 potato and a pumpkin soup. We have learned to double check the order before leaving.

"Don't die while making the turn into the driveway." This Panera location is spacious and clean, with lots of tables. Several different WiFi networks to connect to, and there's no shortages of outlets so it's a good place to get work done. The food is the same as any other Panera location. Big menu, with both healthy and unhealthy food (looking at you 'Steak & White Cheddar Panini') options. Make sure to sign up for MyPanera rewards because it's a free, extremely easy-to-sign-up membership program that makes it really easy to get free food. It's cool that there's a drive thru, but you'll be stuck inside for a while since the food takes longer to make than standard fast food. And once you're in, there's no escape. Faster to order inside.

Good food, great service! Very nice staff...the only reason I drop a few is the bathroom...it's like walking into a cave how dark it was, the toilet did not flush on its own, and I know this might be weird but the hand soap dispenser is so low you kinda need to squeeze your hand between the sink and wall to get some soap...

This place is garbage the classic grilled cheese is the only thing I tried and I was greatly disappointed , the bread was cold and not even toasted or buttered the cheese was burned and my gf got the Mac n cheese and she got a small bowl and the bowl was half full , think got all I spent was 21$ but I must say it was the worst 21$ I've ever spent. I don't care for McDonald's but that's exactly where I went after .. this place SUCKS! And I only put one star because it's the only way I can post the review!

This Panera location has an outstanding manager and exceptional service. Ted is very accessible if he's needed. Jess, Suzanna & Lindsay are always pleasant and helpful. I work in the showroom next door. I'm so happy this place exists!

The workers didn't have their hair tied back which leads to biological contamination causing foodborne illnesses! The drive thru brings the food out to your car. We have gotten our food but the people in front of us have not so we are stuck waiting for an extra TEN MINUTES! Good food but extremely poor service.

We always enjoy our food at Panera, so it was wonderful that they opened one closer to home. The new establishment was a bit off. There are no real lines set up at the cashiers, so one would have to ask each other if they were on line or not or the cashiers & some don't say next. The other thing is the cold drinks were on the side next to the pickup area, meanwhile the hot drinks were directly in front of the cashiers which IMO sort of crowd the whole area. It's a new place, so the new cashiers need a little patient & more training, no complaints on the staff who have to deliver the food to the tables.

So this time they forgot the bread bowl that was ordered with turkey chili. Unreal how Panera can't figure out how to get an order correct - pathetic.

For having just opened recently, I thought it would be top of its game. Wrong... I purchased a Thai chicken salad, to go, so like all the other locations, I expected the dressings to be on the side, Wrong... I also expected the lettuce to be fresh, Wrong...I actually took pictures of the lettuce I pulled out and as black as it was, it was not caused by dressing. I will now just bypass this location and find a different place to eat. Very sad that it was this poor. Also the lady who took my order, cannot hear well, I had to repeat my order several times, and repeat my phone number 3 times. Oh well live and learn.
