"Pangas Beach Club (Playa Tamarindo) Cozy and comfortable, it’s hard to leave Pangas. The hours fly by here, where the Las Baulas estuary meets the Pacific, at wooden tables, right on the sand; or beneath marvelous, sparkle-lit trees in a setting that’s practically one with the surrounding nature. A tropical fusion menu makes the most of local bounty, featuring innumerable fruits, grass-fed beef, and locally caught seafood; fresh-prepared cocktails intensify the vibe. Surf-racks and showers available to those coming off the waves; reservations suggested."

A guest at the W told us to visit here for the sunset and it was amazing but we also decided to stay for dinner. The food was delicious along with the drinks. Staff very accommodating even with us having nor reservation. They sat us in the bar area and served us there and then moved us to a table when one became available. Highly recommend to make a reservation before sunset so you can enjoy best of both worlds.

Recommended by my good friend who owns a home in Playa Grande. He said it was the best spot in Tamarindo for a sunset dinner and cocktails. From the moment we entered the service was excellent. We were seated immediately and given the opportunity to choose the best location for comfort and viewing the sunset. We got our drink orders in as soon as we sat and they came back quickly and were very tasty. We weren’t in a rush to order dinner and got in another drink order before we made our orders. Although the place was packed, our food came out in a short time and all together for our large party. As an appetizer, I got a lobster bisque with a lobster tail and it was delicious. For dinner, I ordered the Mahi Mahi and it was also delicious. Everyone’s food looked great and they all commented how perfect everything was.

This is a fabulous restaurant on the north end of town, tables are set up on the beach with beautiful views. We arrived before they were actually open for dinner, without reservations and they were so accommodating. Seated us in the sofa lounge area and served cocktails - a very strong “bartenders margarita” ! Once their tables were set up we were invited to be seated for dinner- we enjoyed the fresh and delicious grilled Mahi Mahi with tropical salsa … amazing! Definitely recommend this restaurant!!

Great experience! The setting was stunning with the view of the river and ocean. Very well maintained and clean environment. Very attentive waiters and service was great. Food quality and presentation on point. Price on a higher side but it is Tamarindo anyway. Perfect choice for a special occasion.

We enjoyed an incredibly delicious meal at Pangas was visiting Tamarindo. Pictured you will see the tuna tower, wahoo carpaccio which was hands down the best thing I’ve ever eaten, and a fresh grilled full red snapper. Everything tasted uniquely amazing and I wish we could have gone back a second time! The outdoor atmosphere was very laid back and beautiful. The staff was very friendly and attentive. If we return to Tamarindo, this will be at the top of our list!

We had a group of 20 for dinner at Pangas last Friday and had an AMAZINGGGG experience! They sat all 20 of us at one huge table. We had impeccable service, I can’t compliment enough how on top of it they were. It took us less than 2 hours for a dinner with 20 people! That’s unheard of! And the food was absolutely fabulous. And the views! So stunning! And the drinks were so yummy! I can’t say enough positive things. You MUST go here! By far the best meal we had in Tamarindo. AND they even let us split our checks :) the portion sizes are very large so beware when ordering! But that is not a bad thing! Our group loved everything they had. I specifically recommend the wahoo carpaccio and the grilled octopus. Thank you to Pangas!

This restaurant is nice, with plenty of tables and a prime spot for watching the sunset—if you’re lucky. My wife ordered the gazpacho and the surf and turf, which included steak and lobster. Everything was top-notch. The surf and turf comes with a '500° volcano rock' to cook your steak on after they sear it. It’s kind of cool and definitely gimmicky, but personally, if I go to a restaurant, I don’t want to cook my own steak—that’s just me. The service was solid, and the food was exceptional. A great spot for a date night in Tamarindo."

Went there for a celebration dinner. So yummy and beautiful ambiance. The best service we got our whole time in Costa Rica.
