Pangea

Unfortunately was not impressed at all with the restaurant. I had high expectations for $25 appetizers but the serving size was underwhelming... You certainly don't get the value for what you pay for. I asked for a medium steak but it ended up being tough and chewy. I had it sent back but to my surprise, there was no replacement and I wasn't told about it. The waiter just took it back and voided the line item, and I sat there for 20 mins waiting for nothing. The service was also incredibly sparse. The place was empty on a weeknight and the waiter didn't stop by in between serving the meal to check up on us. It was also hard to get a hold of any waiter. You would think there would be more attention if we were the only table here. I'm starting to understand now why this shop is empty tonight.

On most of our trips to New York we find ourselves spending one night at Pangea for dinner & a show. They have a very intimate back room behind the restaurant. The tables are tight but that's OK because everyone there has come to enjoy the evening. Come early so that you can enjoy dinner before the show. The menu is small. The items are fairly basic. But the kitchen turns out perfectly enjoyable plates. We dined on a salmon burger & roast salmon. The shows start punctually & even at the back you are very close to the stage.Sight lines are great. The sound system is well set up. And to be honest, we have enjoyed every show at Pangea. That includes Flotilla Debarge, Raven O & Joey Arias. Service is congenial & accommodating. What's not to like: dinner, an enjoyable show with people who treat you nice ?

The service was great, Sue was great, the people were amazing, and the food is just WOW! I ordered the salmon and as soon as I took a bite out of it, the skin was crunchy to perfection, and the taste was absolutely scrumptious! Thank you to my friend for bringing me here ☺️♥️

We were invited by our dear friends to attend a art opening reception at Pangaea, which was fabulously good. The appetizers were coming everywhere and one after another sooo good and tasty! We did sit down after and had dinner, I ordered Spagetti Bolognese, because it's one of my favorite dishes ( whish I cook regularly since she 14...). It was delicious! My husband had the House Specials Egg Plant in Japanese style, anyway he loved it...The menu is very diverse and good. The owner, Staff is wonderful, a very unique place. Ooh, also order this fabulously smoky Margarita!

I had a great time and saw a wonderful show. Everything was perfect from start to finish. Definitely a place worth visiting.

Pangea is our favorite place to go to enjoy a delicious meal while enjoying fabulous performances. The care and attention we receive from the staff feels like we’re visiting family. Highlights on the menu are the lemon risotto balls and the salmon avocado burger…but I know that anything the chef prepares will be yummy.

This place is a neighborhood gem and it has never disappointed me. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and the food is reliably delicious. It has a wonderful kind of Moroccan flair. I often take out-of-towners to this place for a unique New York City experience, and they always love it, too. Recommended: the Roasted Cauliflower appetizer, the Moroccan Chicken, and the Flourless Chocolate Cake, which has a wonderfully soft, pudding-like consistency.

My fiance and I stopped in this cute little bar for some drinks before heading out for a birthday party! The sangria was delicious! We ordered a green tea shot and he made extra so we got more than we bargained for, which is no complain!!! They were super nice , they had a cabaret show going on in the back, we may be back to check out. People came in and ordered food and it looked delicious! The ambiance and decor of the place was so quaint and cute!

This is a neighborhood gem. We have never had a meal here that was not wonderful. The service is great, too - - try to get Luka as your server. Don't miss the roasted cauliflower, the hummus, or the Moroccan Chicken.

Can I just say..... do not come to this restaurant. I was kicked out of Pangea for turning off a light above our table that was already turned off. The server asked us if we would like it on and when he left the table we turned it off. The manager yelled at us to ask him to turn it off. AND THEN PROCEEDED TO BEG US TO ASK HIM AND IF WE DIDNT WE HAD TO LEAVE. So therefore we were kicked out. May I add no one was drunk or disruptive. I was genuinely so scared and weirded out. I will never recommend this establishment.

Jazz night at Pangea....."Autumn in New York. Why does it seem so inviting? ......where Deborah Auer is singing accompanied by Richard Clements on the piano and Motoki Mahara is on the bass. This is enjoyable as Deb has a lovely melodious voice and this trio is giving such pleasure to all of us.

Came here for "girl dinner" and had the special which was a duck tortonelli pasta and it was really good! Service is nice too and the ambiance is charming.

I have been here before to catch this performers show which I also caught in LA. No complaint there. Our party of 4 was seated in the corner which left me having to move every time my neighbor got up. Maybe the seating is too tight. I have dietary restrictions but I check out menus beforehand. And there was a way I could do it. They have a $20 minimum, but that wasn't a problem. But the last non alcoholic Guinness I ordered was never served. And they were out of the food option I wanted. I was covering for my partner, and she was happy with her order. Out of curiosity I took my bill after I paid to see if I was charged for what I ordered but was never served. After our show the venue was extremely loud, so I waited on the sidewalk while my partner met the performer. The waiter came outside to get the receipt, I explained why I had it and what I wanted to know. He said he had to have it but didn't answer my query. This place is busy, successful, and has been here a long time, But I have to take over an hour on the subway to get here. I wish them no ill. But I don't eat pasta, chicken, pork, shrimp, squid or ice cream. And I don't drink alcohol. And they require a bit of effort for me to get to from the other end of the island. If invited to return, I intend to not go. The show was fine, but I didn't feel respected. Good luck to them.

This is a great restaurant in the east village that's easy to overlook because it doesn't look like much from the street, but inside the decor is beautiful, the food is never disappointing, and the service is friendly and attentive. We brought some out-of-town friends there recently and they loved it.

This is a neighborhood gem. Great atmosphere, sophisticated, welcoming and fun. Live music is usually on deck. Authentic vibes for the creative and adventurous.

Me and most of my peers who are amazing performers but not always in the commercial world.Carol Lipnik, Flotilla DeBarge, Donald Arrington, Stephan Hayes, Bergman &Bloustien, Zora Rasmussen, Joey Arias, Rachel Garniez,and so many more of the cream of the crop of the downtown scene.... Much more interesting than that expensive stuff above 14th St! Food is luscious, ambiance is perfect... if you think you're a real New Yorker,you will be after delving into Pangea world!

A great place. Great to come see MUSIC here. The bar has everything you want. New York's old-school charm is apparent as soon as you walk in the door. Old wood floors and wonderful decor. What a great place.

Was meeting up with some friends and one had suggested this spot because he lives in the area and said it was amazing food- and I'm glad we went with his recommendation. I had the "pollo morraco" which was fantastic! The chicken was so flavorful- that I wished I had more on the plate when I was done lol The atmosphere is so nice and cozy too- pillows on soft cushioned seats and benches, nice dim lighting, soft music, nice strong drinks, and the service was great! If I could give it 6 stars I would. Especially on the food- wow so good! I'll be coming back for sure! Definitely make a stop in here for some really good food!

Attended a poetry & theatre performance in the cabaret space yesterday and really enjoyed the performance, sound system, space, service, vaccine screening, food, and out front gathering area. Attentive wait staff took precautions seriously, and worked busily to help a good-sized crowd of theater goers, graciously fitting in and serving some late arrivals, too. My Chicken Milanese was very tasty and succulent, and the salad was delicious and fresh. People next to me had pasta with chorizo that they enjoyed. (Another neighbor tried the roasted cauliflower but didn't care it.) I would happily go back for dinner with or without a show.

Had a delicious strong Casamigas tequila with soda and lime in the cabaret last night!

Sydney Myer. A one of a kind performer. So much joy and laughter. Lovely room. Fun art on the walls. Great service. Amazing audience. We all sang along with Sydney. Food was fine but we didn't go there for the food.

Wow, we dined here last week as a couple. We love in the East Village and were looking for something cozy and close by. The menu is Italian, mostly, however they do offer "pop-up" cuisines. We loved the squid ink linguine with calamari and shrimp! Delicious! Our server, Mac, was super nice, knowledgeable, informative and took great care of us without hovering!

This place is a great deal with great vibes! The food is authentic and delicious. The pastas remind me of true Italian dishes-simple, yummy, no frills. My favorite pastas are the alla gremolata ($10) and the tagliatelle ai fungi (in the specials). I would also highly recommend the burger (biggest/juiciest burger that you can find in the area) and the eggplant parm appetizer. The best part about this place is the vibe. The waiters and clientele are all super interesting/funny/fun. There is a cabaret theater in the back of the restaurant with shows almost every night. It's a great activity if you're looking to get a glimpse of the true East Village, files with artists, film makers, and performers. I can't recommend this place enough and I think it is truly underrated.

Wow! Server had some serious attitude and the food was just below substandard. Last time for us!

I came here on two separate occasions to watch a friend perform in the back room on a Friday night. The show was amazing but I don't want to solely base my review on that. I stayed at the bar after the performance and the bartender/waiter was amazing, he also tended to us in the back room during the show. He has a European accent and I wish I was good with names but unfortunately I am not. Either way you will be lucky if he attends to you, he was also quite humorous. Now, down to the food; my fiancé ordered a burger and fries and it was actually pretty good. I opted for calamari because let me be honest, I really just wanted to drink wine but needed just a little something to eat, needless to say, the calamari was good as well. Friends commented that their meal was great also. It's difficult to say that I would just stop in for their food alone because there are so many other options in the neighborhood but it's a great place to go to enjoy some food/drinks while attending a show.

The cabaret is intimate and fun, and the lounge and bar in front of the restaurant exudes a nice classy atmosphere. I've eaten at Pangea twice while attending one of their cabaret shows. The first meal I recall being fine but tonight I came to the conclusion that the management is not is really honest with their customers. I ordered a $12 (!) hummus dish, and it arrived several minutes later, but I am not quite sure I would call it hummus. The best description I can come up with is "bland glop." It may have been taken out of some big container, for all I know, but it barely registered as hummus. They put a lot of the glop/hummus on a plate, and along with a dozen or so tiny slivers of pita bread. If you are lucky, you can probably get about half the glop/hummus on all the pita slivers. If you order another little dish of additional pita sliver so you can actually finish the glop/hummus, that will cost you another $3! So you've basically paid for a whole lot of glop/hummus, enough pita slivers to finish it off, and it will cost you a scary $16 for your troubles. I suspect management knows they serve nowhere enough tiny pita slivers to eat the full dish, so you pretty much have to order the extra slivers. This is dead wrong treatment of customers and I left with a very sour feeling about Pangea.

Nice intimate venue. Saw a really cool band, The Royale Minks. Burger was of good quality. Fries were crispy and delicious. Service was attentive and friendly. Pretty good prices for NYC.

Pretty low quality. Food tasted like I could have made it myself but cheaper. Really empty place and it took a couple minutes for staff to even notice we were there to seat us

The food here was pretty good, but the portions were small. It wasn't too pricey and it definitely lined up with the portions, but I was still pretty hungry in the end. Service was good, nothing to really complain about, nothing to really rave about. I wouldn't be opposed to come back, but I definitely wouldn't come on an empty stomach. One of those places that are good to try once.

Pangea is a vegetarian's delight! My BF and I went there for dinner on a Friday night around 6:30-7 pm. We did not have to wait to be seated and the staff was very attentive. We ordered a little of everything and everything was delicious. Our favorite was the butternut squash bisque. It was perfect. We highly recommend this restaurant especially if you're looking for a nice alternative to meat and you want Italian food.

Not one for lengthy reviews so I'll hit the highlights, horrible service, HORRIBLE, food was not great only 2 out of the 6 people that went liked their food once we finally got it. Server never checked in with us but in all fairness seemed super understaffed and they all seemed over worked so that's on management.

A good cabaret venue in NYC seems hard to find these days. This certainly isn't one of them. Aside from the spectacular show, this overpriced and lackluster joint made me irritated that I'd given them my money. Not only are the prices on their menu NOT what they charge in the back room where the shows are ($9 glasses of wine become $12...$10 cocktails become $15)...they managed to bring me the worst burger I've had in the city. Cold shoestring fries and a charred, flavorless lump of room temperature meat (even though I ordered it medium rare) that cost almost $20 after tax? AND they don't honor the 15% off discount for checking in on Yelp? This place is a doozy of a misstep and I'll not be back to give them another try. A bad burger and crappy glass of wine cost $37 after tax and tip. I'm horrified to even recount it. Avoid this place if you dare. If your friend has a show and you MUST go, just be sure to reach your $20 food/drink minimum with drinks. The food should be avoided at all cost.

Been here a few times since my review. I still love it as do the people I have taken with me. My only complaint is the decor, it's hideous. There are troll doll pillows and star wars lamps, I just don't get it. Someone needs to come in and change the decor, because it looks like it was decorated from a garage sale. I think this will have a negative effect on the place and will deter people from coming in and eating because it would make me think if they decor is so bad than the food must be bad too, which isn't the case at all! I'm even a little weirded out by it and may stay away during the winter and opt to come during the summer where I can sit outside.

I never would have known about Pangea had it not been for the cabaret theater in the back of the restaurant. Food at cabaret shows is hit or miss. Feinstein's/54 Below is expensive and excellent (much better since the new chef). The Met Room food is terrible and overpriced. Only the "dip trio" is worth eating, but that's in Flatiron and most regulars just drink the minimum and eat before or after. But Pangea is like West Bank (Laurie Beechman): legitimately good food. The tagliatelle with shrimp and vegetables is excellent. 22 dollars but worth every penny. The burger with the heaping portion of fries is excellent. If in the East Village, I would eat here even if I were not going to a show. Performers at this venue are not of the caliber, mostly, of the Met Room (and certainly not headliners or Broadway people, as at 54 Below) but tickets are 20 dollars. The service is good, though, and even when shows are lackluster, the instrumentalists are always top notch.

Pangea is one of those places I've walked by for years and I'm so glad I finally made my way here to eat. First of all, this is a great place for a date. I came here with my boyfriend of 4+years and the couple next to us seemed to be on a 1st date. Love the moody lighting and twinkly lights in the back room. The food is also fabulous- I had the penne with roasted butternut squash and it was the best thing I've eaten in weeks. 5 stars.

Excellent food whether brunch or $10 pasta dishes. Art surrounds this multi-leveled space. Roomy, cushioned Bohemia.

This restaurant is amazing and has a great selection of wine. The highlight was really the amazing staff- will definitely be back and cannot wait for cabaret to start again!

Had the best experience for dinner at Pangea! Attempted to walk in to cacio e pepe next door on a friday night no less - terrible idea LOL. Luckily Pangea is right next door and had a table available for 5 immediately. Every bit of the service was impeccable thanks to Vinnie! Thr food was yummy - pasta perfectly al dente, garlic spinach was delicious, and we also had some of the best steak frites we have ever had. The creme brulee for dessert was just the cherry on top of a great experience.

Went here to see a show. The show was wonderful. Five stars to the performers and musicians. However, I waited about a half hour from when I was seated to when my server noticed me and gave me some water. (He seemed harried and overwhelmed. I don't think two servers is enough to manage a sold-out crowd in the performance space.) He took my order and then brought me my salad just before the show started. He never brought me the glass of wine I ordered, or any utensils. I tried to eat my salad with my fingers, but wasn't very successful. As the show went on, he came by to clear everyone else's plates but mine, and checked why mine was untouched. He sped by so quickly, I couldn't get his attention. Before the next-to-last song of the show, he brought me my wine with an apology. "Could I have some utensils too, please?" I asked. I didn't get my utensils until the last song. He took the wine off the bill. Look, I'm a server. I've been stuck the weeds plenty of times, and I've forgotten a guest's drink before. If I had somehow screwed up this badly at my own job, I would have apologized, comped the entire meal for the guest and sent a manager to apologize. Then again, the manager was grumpy and unpleasant while seating me, so I'm kind of glad he didn't get involved. It was a wonderful show, I'm glad this space is available to performers, but service was a mess.

My review only applies to the $10 pasta special they offer. I stopped by on a Friday night after a few drinks with friends and was on the hunt for some carbs. I love pasta in general so I was totally down for some $10 pasta. I got the spaghetti aglio e olio- which is one of my favorite kind of pastas! It did the job, nothing too crazy. I'd come back for more $10 pastas.

While I certainly appreciate Pangea's hosting last night's Yelp Office Hours, I can't say I'm a fan - yet. The food we had was delicious - particularly the chicken empanadas - well spiced and fresh tasting. Ditto on the hummus. But the drink menu wasn't really very creative nor were the drinks put together with much care or subtlety. I tried the Ruby Red martini and the Ginger Lime Ricky - both very promising sounding, but ultimately unimpressive and flat. Also, considering the Yelp crew was among the only people there, it was a little too hard to get the bartender's attention sometimes. I do like the decor, and the owner is very fun and friendly, but if I come back it will more likely be to try more of the food than for a drink. For that, I'll be a couple blocks down 2nd Ave at Blue Owl.

Pangea. Let's break it down. Ancient Greek. Pan- entire. Gea/Gaea- earth. What I want is the entire earth to be filled with Pangea. Our ordered brunch of French Toast and Eggs Florentine appeared precious, staged in such a way that all we could do was stare and drool. Tortoise & the Hare. We are the hares, foraging for food at a gallop as to not attract predators. The waiter is the unfortunate tortoise, dragging his body along the three steps of stairs. I fear the consequences of a full restaurant as I believe the tortoise would not know where to start. You best start with the hares.

HORRIBLE. Food = Horrible. I got the penne with mushroom ($17) which was tasteless and something I could have made at home. Seriously tasteless. It's like they didn't even use cream, just threw some milk and old mushrooms in a bowl with noodles. My boyfriend got the Coq A Vin and his first words after taking a bite were, I kid you not, "Did you order me curry and mashed potatoes?". The chicken was sooo mushy and buried underneath this horrid sauce. We got two white wines. My boyfriend said his was fine but when he tasted mine, he said "This tastes like....alcohol and water". Seriously. Tasted like rubbing alcohol mixed with water. The service was friendly but non existent. I know it must be stressful only having 1 waiter service the whole restaurant on a Friday night but um, why only one waiter!?! I felt bad because he was so nice but it took at least 10-15 minutes to even get a menu and then another 20 minutes to get the check. The bill was $54 for shitty food. Never again.

Walked in. Strange vibes. Server never even said hello. So we had to approach one of them to ask for food. They looked at us like we were crazy. We got seated but another 5 minutes passed and we finally got some water. We left. Too hungry for this.

I hosted my sister's bridal shower here, and Stephen (Owner) was SOOOOO AWESOME to work with. Before deciding on Pangea, I looked at so many other places. The owners at the other venues were such DIVAS! Hello, have you ever heard of good CUSTOMER service!?!? So happy I found Pangea. They have a wonderful private room in the back, which worked perfectly for a group of 30 girls. Probably could fit more people. we had enough room for a long buffet table, 3 long tables (10 girls each), separate tables for drinks, separate table for cake, space for presents, and enough open space in the middle for games / opening presents. Stephen was super sweet, helpful, easy to work with and ran things so smoothly on the day of the shower. I gave him my budget, and he provided a great menu. He also hung a curtain up for us to separate the private area from the kitchen / bathroom. It was great to have our own space and do whatever we wanted. He also let us borrow little vases. We bought flowers from the bodega down the street. Josh helped us arrange the flowers, so sweet! We basically had the space to ourselves, no one bothered us, and most importantly, my sister had a great time. It wouldn't have been possible w/o Pangea and its wonderful owners/staff. If you're looking for a space to host a private event and value great customer service, I would HIGHLY recommend Pangea.

The food here is so great. Not a massive menu which makes it easier to read the menu (can't stand 3 paged menus). Good music & good vibes. I even bring my son (3) on Sundays to watch Carol Lipnik perform live in the back with Mat Kanelos. He orders the grilled chicken with hand made fries. I have 3 favorite dishes (Atlantic salmon with lentil pilaf, mussels and their burger). Ive come here for date night and girls night. Summertime is nice out front with wine. Great service Danny and Douglas are awesome and the owners are always very hospitable.

Let's start with the atmosphere of this restaurant. Upon walking in, you're greeted with appealing decor. It is a cozy area with the bar right within a few footsteps. The seating was nice, the usual couch on one end and wood chair on the other, I did not sink into the couch and was positioned comfortably. The place is clean and organized with a upscale vibe but still welcomes casual dining. Now onto the service, it was great with a friendly waiter and an added bonus of live singing in the backroom. Last is the food, which was prepared in a fresh and healthy manner. For Italian food, I did not feel the sauce was overbearing or too many flavors going on in my plate. My only small issue is that I wish the menu had a bit more of a selection. However, I'm sure that'll come with time.

This place was great! Came here for dinner with a couple of friends right before Christmas upon the recommendation of one of the people we were meeting since he had been here before. We met at the bar area, it wasn't crowded at all for a Friday evening which was good. We decided to just get a table right away since we were all hungry. The waiter was super nice, and the place itself is very cozy. We didn't order any appetizers, we just got right down to business. I don't remember what my friends ordered but I had the pasta with crispy eggplant and it was delicious. The cocktail menu looked amazing as well but I ended up just drinking rose which was great. We perused the desert menu afterwards but decided that we were way too full from our meal. I would definitely like to go back and sample some if the other menu items. By the time we left it was starting to get busier near the bar area but our waiter never rushed us and was attentive but not hovering. Another great thing was when we checked into Yelp there was a discount code for our food bill and they did honor it. So since my friend and I both checked in I have one saved to use for next time!

FYI: Restaurant.com certificates are unwanted and not welcomed here. I was looking forward to trying this place but was told that they no longer accept restaurant.com certificates when we presented it to the waitress. The waitress was very nice about it and I was still planning to eat here regardless. So we placed our orders and our appetizer arrived. We ordered the Shrimp and I have to say that it tastes better than it looked. This place can definitely work on their presentation skills. After reviewing the gift certificate, we thought that it was kind of shady that they would not honor it since we have purchased it before they took themselves off restaurant.com and those certificates don't expire. So we called restaurant.com and was told that they are suppose to honor it so we asked to speak with the manager. I was really turned off by the way the manager handled the situation. It was barely a conversation. He kept telling us that there was nothing he can do and there is nothing for us to talk about and if we hand any issues to speak with restaurant.com directly. Before we could say anything he just walked away. That was when I lost my appetite and decided to end my dining experience there.

Came here for dinner with out of town family. The restaurant was pretty empty and quiet but it was a recommended joint. Overall I would say the appetizers that I tried were meh but their entrees were very good. I had the following apps: saladcrocchette di baccalasautéed- Meh, there was 5 it could have been potatoes i wouldn't have tasted the difference Fried Calamari was bland, and rubbery Chicken Liver Crostini - was rich probably the better one that I had Entree - Coq Au Vin - Stewed chicken with Merlot, mushrooms, pearl onions, mashed potatoes. It was very good, there was a combination of 5 spices anise and other herbs. The pearl onions and red wine gave it a hearty taste and sauce which I mixed with the mashed potatoes. If I'm salivating while writing I would say its a plus Steak Frites, flank stake was tender, cooked medium rare Salmon was fresh and not over cooked. Overall the service was good, and the entrees were great. If It wasn't for the forgettable apps and the weak sazurac it I would have given it a 4.

Aside from the china town type sculpture in the front lobby area, there was nothing Pangea-ee about this dull american restaurant. Adding soy sauce to a fish dish does not make it ethnic or fusion... While the food was fresh and tasty, it was boring and overpriced. Our waiters (all three of them) sucked too...snotty, airheaded boys. The bar looked luscious but I would never intentionally go here for a drink, or another blah meal for that matter.

I'm a fan of the chicken empanadas (I think they were also being billed as 'samosas') with the tamarind sauce and the yummy olive-tomato-chevre bruschetta, but there's not much else I got excited about. For as small a group and unbusy as it was, the bartender forgot my order twice (how hard is it to make a Sapphire Tonic? You just put two things together and you're set!), and forgot the ingredients to one of the house cocktails. I ordered a caipirinha with extra lime and cane, and she looked at me all confused; i wanted to yell at her for not knowing a house drink. The decor is cute (I love low ceilings), and the bar space is gorgeous, with the overflowing wax candle-cum-sculpture in the middle right next to the old-timey registers. But is it Asian Fusion just because there was a Buddha and a Thai sculpture in the anteroom? Probably not. The owner was gracious and affable, but hospitality by one person could only go so far. The rest of the staff needs to learn from the person they're getting paid by: have some fun while you're working, or at least smile when customers say hello to you. The two ladies who were working when I came in didn't even greet me hello. In sum: it's there. Momofuku's a few blocks away.

This place is a hidden gem. Excellent food and great service. Had the veggie meatballs and avocado greek salad to start. Excellent. For the entree, had the pasta w shrimp and puttanesca sauce. Also excellent. Douglass was our waiter and he is absolutely fabulous.

I went here with two other friends and we ordered the Pear Sangria pitcher. The pitcher seemed watered down, and a little bit like sugar water. We also ordered the calamari, fries, and curried chicken salad. The food is not too expensive, yet resembles diner food. You're better off just going to an actual diner and paying half. But on the positive side, there was good service, and we had a very charming waiter. This restaurant has a possibility to be much better given the location and the large space. Overall, I probably wouldn't visit Pangea again.
