Nice island, wonderfull beaches, good food, nice staff. |We booked a Spa Villa. The room was clean. But unfortunately in front of the AC very dusty... Not a huge problem, but when you pay almost 2000 Ringitt per night you could expect a cleaner room.|Food was good. The best food we had @the feast village and @ emeralde beach (lunch) and @fishermans cove (was excellent fish). Also the salads @Jamu Bar were tasty. Uncle Lim was unfortunately not as good as the other restaurants.|Spa treatments were very nice and the staff did a good job. We also had a very friendly barman at the spa bar. Our highlight was Emeralde Bay. Awesome beach! |Overall a nice place but slightly overpriced in comparison to what you get at other hotels.

Love the service, very warm. Room is nice and big, and a very large bath tub (took 1h to fill it up). Food is good. The emerald beach has one of the finest sand among the beaches I have been to. Great resort for couple. Activities for young kids may be a bit lacking. Recommend for 4d3n to fully enjoy the activities available

From the moment we arrived to the moment we left everything was great. The setting was beautiful…I spent the first day walking around humming The White Lotus theme tune to myself. The food, the friendliness of the staff, the pool, the beach, the wildlife…all was great. ||Nothing is too much trouble for the staff, they were always going the extra mile for the kids. You can have a chat with them and get to know them a little too.||Go for a massage whilst you’re there too.

Is our first visit to the resort, everything is good from check in to check out including transfers to the island. As it is private island, the place and facilities are very well taken care and clean. Is very quiet at night so feeling a bit boring after dinner time, which basically going back to our room. There's a karaoke room but I hardly see anyone is using it in our 3days 2 nites stay. Suggest resort to consider a live band near the pool area for certain hours. Thanks to all resort and transfers service staff, for their attention and great job.

The best hotel we have ever been to in our lives. Went for our honeymoon. The sea villas are beautiful and feel private. The facilities are 10/10 with an on demand shuttle to go around the island, walks to do, sunsets to watch, insanely good massages, emerald bay to yourselves, happy hours and much more. It’s a paradise.

One of the best hotel we have ever been to. Every from the lobby to the room. Everything is immaculate. Couldn’t believe this is a 40years old resort! The restaurant here is good too, amazing breakfast, the Chinese restaurant has a good menu. Pool side restaurant is a bit average. Sunset cocktail on the west side of the island with happy hour is a nice way to spend the golden hour, also amazing beach to swim. Spa village is really cool. Quiet without kids. Highly recommended. For the price to stay here during school holiday! Super good value. Would definitely come back for another holiday here.

A little piece of paradise! The private island is perfect for special occasions. Kudos to the management they have developed only a small part of the island and left the rest of it as pristine as possible. We stayed in the spa village among other things it was a great plus as kids are not allowed on this part of the resort. While staying here one must sign up for a spa treat. We signed up for the Malay massage and it was an experience in itself! The various baths and well trained masseuses make it a perfect package. Very professionally operated. Emerald bay is perfect for a swim and food at Chapman's bar is excellent. Uncle lim's kitchen is a must visit while staying here. People make the place even better, excellent staff right from the reservation desk on main land to everyone at the resort. Special shoutout to Mr Segar and Mr Mages (Maheswaran) for making our stay special. Pangkor is a must visit.

We have just returned from a wonderful 7 night stay in one of the resorts Hill Villas. From the moment we arrived at we were treated with such courtesy and experienced excellent customer service throughout our stay. After checking in we were given an explanation of the resorts amenities, quite a lot to take in after a long trip but useful none the less. We were then taken to our room which was fantastic, beautifully maintained, spacious with a large balcony and sea view. Flip flops and bug spray were lovely little touches. ||The resort has a serene feel about it and is truly a place to relax and unwind. It’s easy to get around, with buggy’s/cars available to take you around the island - we never had to wait long to be collected. ||The main pool was lovely, although they could do with a couple more sun beds but the real highlight for us was Emerald Bay! Such a gorgeous beach with calm waters and enough sun beds to go around. We tried the Spa once and had a wonderful massage and were able to use the facilities for the rest of the day. The spa area was much quieter than the main pool. We planned to eat lunch at the Spa but the menu was very small and not to our liking. We tried all other food options though, all were excellent and the food was good quality - Fisherman’s Cove and Uncle Lims were highlights but Feast Village was also good with a varied menu. The resort caters for all tastes and breakfast in particular was extensive. Some have said the resort is a little pricey and yes it is more costly than the mainland but I would expect costs to be a higher at a 5 star resort and I felt we had excellent value for money. ||The jungle trek (free) with Harris was a highlight, very informative and interesting to find out more about the island and local wildlife. ||Overall we had a fantastic time at the resort and wouldn’t hesitate to go back. We experienced second to none customer service and were treated warmly by every member of staff but particular thanks go to Jeff (our concierge, nothing was too much trouble), Tini, Kristnan, Budi, Adynana, Sakil, Harris, Apon, Michael and Al Almin.

Yelp
4 stars just due to the slow internet speed. Not sure if that is fair, as that was a minor detail. The rest of our days here was great. Friendly staff. Excellent views. Do get the resident package. Well worth the extra $$. You will spend more for food if you don't.

Yelp
Paradise Island! The island itself is absolutely fabulous. With rainforest, beaches and wildlife. We stayed in a Garden Villa with fantastic ocean view. This was one of the cheaper villas, however the best one for my taste. Perfectly located between pool, restaurants and reception area. Garden villas are also spacious (71 m2) with a huge bathroom, fridge, comfortable bed and a TV. During the stay we were provided with a 4G mini router. Housekeeping twice a day. Our stay on PLR lasted 5 nights, which was perfect. There are only a few restaurants at the island. Uncle Lim's Kitchen had good Chinese food and The Fisherman's Cove had fabulous fresh seafood. The Feast Village dinner buffet on the other hand was not a luxury resort worthy. It was almost out of food and even though we asked nicely if they could refill, it never happened. My tip - stay away! However in the morning, they serve a fantastic breakfast there. The Straits serve a pre set 5 course menu, so we didn't go there. I like to choose my own food. The Royal Beach Club serves pretty good (but unhealthy) food like pizza, noodles, fried rice etc. Fortunately I had brought my own granola and rice milk. The lunch place at Emerald Beach was horrible. Do not eat there! Finally there was a lunch place at the Spa Village, which had overpriced salads. Many guests bring their own food, drinks and snacks from the mainland. There are no real shops, except from a few gift shops. During our stay we went jungle tracking, played tennis, went to the gym, did yoga and Tai Chi. This place is absolutely worth visiting, however, they need more good food options.

Yelp
Beautiful location on a private island. However service is less than ideal and has the feel of a package holiday property as opposed to a luxury resort it is marketed as. Gym equipment is old and appears to be from the turn of the millennium. Resort does not offer room service. Rooms do not have wifi or television.

Yelp
The service here is hit or (extreme) miss. Some of the people are super sweet, while some are extremely unprofessional and even outwardly rude. The villas are beautiful but this place is limited by the culture of rules, restrictions, and expenses, which are unnecessarily strict and infringe upon the luxury and relaxation the resort advertises. The island is really cool with lots of fish and birds and boar, but due to the service and how obscenely over priced it is, I would never return to PLR.

Yelp
The resort is fantastic! The service is really good as the staff are very polite and friendly, but the only downside is that the room service menu is limited and when we ordered dinner, instead of a la carte, we were forced to accept a buffet dinner instead as they were very busy and packed with people. The pool and beach is really good though, it's beautiful and peaceful and they provide everything you need such as towels, food and drinks and so on.
