Pansion Sibenik

We stayed in the studio and it was really quite stunning. Staff very friendly, helpful and organised. Room was very clean and comfortable. Good value for money. Very quiet and safe. Good location for tourist sites including gardens and cathedral. Breakfast good located on the docks so provides good view||||Bit difficult to find. Can see that parking would be a challenge but not something we had to worry about. Wifi available but slow. Towels were small. Breakfast at different location and limited options could be an issue for longer stays. Making a cup of tea also took forever on the hob! Not an issue though, overall would 100% recommend this place.

Pension Sibenik is not easy to find, especially when one arrives on a rainy day. We were allocated the newly refurbished studio apartment in an old building in the heart of the medieval city. The apartment had excellent facilities, including kitchen and laundry, and was very spacious. We did not find the bed very comfortable but it was a double bed as requested. The entrance to the building and the stairwell are certainly authentic and dark and we were dubious as we carried our bags up the stairs - until we saw the accommodation. The location is excellent, within walking distance to all the restaurants and the waterfront. On the negative side, once we were shown to our apartment, we did not see the proprietors who are situated in another building. Overall, it was awesome to stay in the middle of an old city and we were pleased with our choice.

We called at the night before and got a great room. We read some of the reviews so we knew they place was a little hard to find. We parked the car in the middle of two weddings and walked up the steep steps to the hotel minus our baggage. The owner told us our parking options so we re-parked and brought our bags in. The room was great. She suggested a lovely restaurant, Pellegini's overlooking the cathedral square where there was a wedding going on. Sibenik is underrated. The old town is very nice and there's great market just beyond the public parking. We could have stayed longer but had to catch a ferry in Split. The drive was about 90 minutes.

We are a young couple late 20's early 30's interested in cultural, and history filled holidays with a bit of beach/ sun bathing along the way. We have found staying at a number of holiday apartments the best way to get the most for your money and see a good portion of the country- with the added help of a cheap hire car! ||Pansion Sibenik is a hotel however we stayed in what seemed to be newly refurbished/acquired holiday apartment 30 meters away from the hotel.||It's right in the centre of Sibenik and as such there is no parking. We parked not far away in a public car park which was 3 Kunas an hour. So about 30p an hour. The owner Maja was lovely, really friendly and even came and met us at the car park to help us find the apartment. ||There might be Wifi in the hotel but in the apartment there was no wifi, however it was new and maybe something that will be added. ||The building is very old boasting an air of history and culture. As you approach the what must be 100 year old main door of the building from the street it feels very authentic and not hotel white washed. The old stair well could be off putting but any fears are immediately dispersed as you enter the newly refurbished modern studio apartment. The apartment is on the first floor with beautiful views of Sibeniks typically narrow stone streets.||For a studio holiday apartment in the centre this was actually quite large and a great choice.

We stayed at the apartment for 2 nights. We at night and couldn't find the location but after phoning the owner, he came and escorted is to our room. He was very kind and friendly and didn't mind that we arrived late. The apartment was set in a beautiful location in the centre of Sibenik. Our room was basic but full of Italian charm. A great place to stay!

Great location, the host has a wonderful sense of humor and made sure I had access to local information. The apartment is in a very old home, which was just very unique. One of the best places I have stayed in my travels.

I booked this place online. It came with a great reviews. What it didnt tell you was it is in the heart of the old town that can only be accessed on foot and the car has to be parked in a paid parking lot on the outskirts of the old town. Finding the place on Google maps is a challenge and finding parking lots is also a challenge. we got a parking ticket because we couldn't find the machine to pay and then retrieved the car at 5 past 7 am (parking is free from 2300 hrs to 0700 hrs). then had to walk down heaps of stairs to find the Pansion. Once we found the place we were happy to not have to climb up lots of stairs to our room, however the room was very small, the shower pressure was miserable and the water cold. the bathroom window opened onto an alley and lots of noise came in via the window there. We were very happy to get out of here.

Pansion Sibenik was hard to find. Everyone we asked had never heard of the hotel, from policemen to shop keepers. The secret is to park in the public lot in front of the library and theatre. Then take the narrow street behind Jadranski Bank and when you reach a set of approximately 10 steps you are almost there. At the top of the stairs on the left is 5 Andrjije Kacica.||We were greeted by Maija who will gave us a complete introduction to Sibenik. The pansion is a B&B without the second B, but everything you'll want to see is within walking distance. Our room was on the first floor. Even though there was no auto traffic on the walking street we heard every conversation that passed below our window. In the summer when the town is crowded this can be a problem. The room was nice, but not as pictured on booking.com. It was much more traditional. It had a firm bed. TV and free WiFi. In the bathroom, I had to hold the toilet seat up with one knee to use the toilet because it would not stay up on its own. Limited view [see picture] but better if you lean out the window. You can see the top of the dome on St. James.||Maija suggested we move our car to the parking lot next to the bus station. Much less expensive [35kuna for 24 hrs.] Maija recommended Pelegrini Restaurant for dinner and after a wonderful dinner I would second that recommendation. [Approximately $100/couple.]
