Tapas-style brunch done right!
Pantry Brunch & Coffee is a cozy spot in the Jewish Quarter that serves brunch in a unique tapas-style format. You choose 3, 5, or 7 items from their menu, and everything comes on individual plates, perfect for sharing or sampling a variety of flavors.
We ordered mushrooms, scrambled eggs, French toast, sausage, and shakshuka, and every dish was fresh and flavorful. The mushrooms were perfectly seasoned, the scrambled eggs creamy, and the French toast was a standout: soft, sweet, and indulgent. The shakshuka had a nice kick without being overpowering, and the sausage added a hearty touch. Portions were generous, and the presentation was beautiful.
The atmosphere is warm and inviting, though the space is small, so expect a short wait during peak hours. Staff were friendly and attentive, and prices are reasonable for the quality (most combos fall in the mid-range for Budapest brunch spots).
Tip:
Go for 5 dishes if you’re hungry, it’s plenty for one person.
Arrive early to avoid queues; the place fills up fast.
Coffee is strong and pairs perfectly with the French toast.
Would I go back? Absolutely. It’s one of the best brunch experiences I’ve had in Budapest, great concept, great food, and great vibes.
