My husband and I have recently spent 16 wonderful nights at this beautiful resort which was our second visit to The Panviman and we are eagerly awaiting another promotional package for a third visit next year. The resort felt like our second home with such a warm welcome from the wonderful staff, it is a lovely experience for us to have been remembered by many whom we interacted with on our trip in 2024. We would love to mention every single person from management, reception, hospitality, cleaning, gardening and drivers however way too many names but a huge thank you to everyone from us both. ||We had the pleasure of meeting Panja and must say we have never experienced such a wonderful general manager who greeted and interacted with all the guests every morning at breakfast and made us feel so much at home. Joe is also a wonderful F & B manager and always present to ensure everything was perfect with meals and the hospitality team whom were so accommodating. We were so happy to see the Pool Deck manager Sorn again whom along with her team took such excellent care of us. Thank you Tun for all your exceptional service along with Bank, King, Nat, El, Milan, Game, Ace and Beer and to Kay when we dined at Stone Beach.||Thank you Nikki for assisting us with any queries and all the wonderful reception staff whom were always ensuring guests were well taken care of. Once again the combined teamwork from all the Panviman staff gave us such a memorable holiday. ||We loved our evening entertainment and always looked forward to Loy’s (Loyd) performances twice a week, he is fantastic. We also enjoyed Nina and partner whom we had not seen on our previous stay and the fire show is always wonderful to watch especially having the beach and large rock for their very entertaining show.||Our only disappointment was the fitness centre equipment which is mostly outdated and very much in need of replacing with more modern weight training cable machines but pleased to say they had introduced a few new treadmills since our previous stay.||The overall feel of this beautiful resort is very inviting with lush tropical well maintained gardens and wonderful traditional Thai style hillside villas and accommodation offering magnificent ocean views. We stayed in their Villa Grande with gorgeous detailed timber on the walls and ceiling, they even incorporate natural large stone boulders to feature in rooms where possible. We can’t speak more highly of The Panviman and thank Panja and the individual managers along with their teams for our unforgettable stay with them.||Kerry & Wayne|Western Australia

We have just spent 5 of the very best days at the Panviman on Koh Phangan. Overall this place is just amazing with a couple of opportunities for improvement that I will suggest at the end.|From the time we arrived,to our departure, the staff here have just been magnificent, so attentive and always so friendly. Special mention has to go to Sorn in the restaurant. Her smiling face each morning and her wonderful service made our breakfast always so special.||Let’s go through the various parts of the resort:|1. As said on the title, this resort sits on a very steep hill so if you have a weak heart of or are very unfit maybe best to avoid as there will always be some walking to do, especially down to the pool area. Having said that, there are plenty of electric buggies on hand and a simple call to reception has one at your door in literally 2 minutes. Each night if we went out of the resort we would have a buggy bring us up the very steep hill and drop us at our room, and always with a smile.|2 If you can afford it, take one of the pool villas here. They sit close to reception and have their own pools and stunning views across the bay. Whilst we enjoyed being around the main pool, it was so nice to relax in our own pool with a drink and enjoy the views each day.|3. The beds, the air-con and all amenities in our room worked perfectly. The water pressure is good and we were very comfortable for our stay with the very best sleep each night.they even have a pillow menu you need a special type to sleep. Coffee, tea and milk were provided for us and nice to sit by the pool each morning with a coffee. each night there was also a turn down service with lollies placed on the bed|4. Breakfast each day was very extensive with lots to offer for all tastes. For me it was omelettes, bacon and hash browns and my vegetarian wife had plenty to choose from and was very happy with all on offer for her. We were on half board and had dinner on the beach on several nights. The menu was fairly extensive and, again, the food was great and promptly served by smiling staff. One note for management is that some of the hot food at breakfast, especially the bacon, was not kept warm enough and was often cold. Would be great if the manager could go around the restaurant occasionally and check temperatures as cold food is not good. Overall though, food is great and plenty of it.|5. The beach area is beautiful, small and secluded with kayaks and SUPs available for free. The water is calm and offers great swimming|6. Just outside the hotel is the most wonderful street of restaurants, massage and 7eleven for supplies. There’s Mexican, Italian and local Thai food there. Be sure to visit the”Cooking Class” restaurant. Very basic but fresh, hot food that was to die for and cost us $17 Aud for entrees, main courses and drinks, just brilliant.|7. Transfers to and from Koh Samui were also handled really well and were part of the fun of arriving here.||Overall,we have loved our time at Panviman. The room with a pool, the amazing staff, the great food, the beautiful pool area and the really good exercise walking up and down hills has made for one of the best stays we’ve had in a hotel. Our thanks to all at Panviman, you have stolen our hearts and we will be back at some point, maybe even with our family so that they can enjoy the beauty, the peacefulness and the smiling faces that make this place special.

What a magnificent hotel. We gad the most amazing room with a well worth private pool. The room was superb with very nice little features that made it even nicer, like the top notch HK speaker. The view from everywhere is amazing, and the breakfast was very nice. Walking up and down the hill was at times annoying enough for us to use the golf cart service

The resort is beautiful. We were with are small daughter and it was a bit challenging. It is on the hill and every where you need to go you need tuktuk. There are not enough tuktuk and sometimes we had to wait for 20 minutes. Another thing is the rooms, it is very very old. The garden chairs are the most uncomfortable chairs we evet sat on. They have to renew the rooms in order it to be 4 rooms as they say they are.

No faults.|Yes it’s an older traditional Thai hotel, it was built in the late 80’s but our room was HUGE (stayed in the pool villa grande) and the pool was big for a villa. |Pillow menu was fabulous- I got the memory foam and it’s the best pillow I’ve ever slept on! |Golf Buggy’s to get you around that are super fast, barely have to wait after phoning for a transfer.|Fantastic spot on the island, just buggy down to resort entrance and walk a few metres to cute little village with everything you could want or need. The food at the restaurants at the resort were amazing!!! We had a few Thai dishes but also tried the Australian steak and it was absolutely cooked to perfection, and a beautiful cut of meat. |Speed boat transfer was efficient, boat was not even full, only a couple of other guests on a large new-ish speedboat. |Now to the negative - |Breakfast was a little average, found the Thai food a little oily and the pastries not fresh but that’s nit picking! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and the staff were super friendly!!! |The beach out the front is also a little average, lovely to look at but has some “fresh” water flowing from somewhere else that looks a little dirty and comes info the beach area out the front of the hotel, so we walked down the beach a bit and swam in front of another resort area. |Overall we liked it though and wouldn’t complain about anything.

A great place to stay if you're after a relaxing holiday. A very scenic location on the quiet part of the island. The rooms are located throughout the resort which are built into the hillside. Not all rooms are equal and you may find that you end up with a room that is not like the advertisement. They aren't bad but just be prepared. Most rooms will require the kart to get around. This is a mild inconvenience and normally you don't have to wait any longer than 5 minutes. Probably not the best place to stay if you have any mobility issues. The food is okay, but expensive. You're better off going into the small town as there are some great restaurants with better value. The breakfast buffet is great though. The speed boat direct to the hotel from Samui is also a great addition. Overall, a very nice place to stay but potentially not for everyone.

A very peaceful and quiet hotel with a spacious area and breathtaking views from the room. There are plenty of great restaurants and shops nearby, so it didn’t feel like we were far from everything. The hotel staff are very friendly and always eager to help. Since the distances to the rooms are quite long, you can always get a ride with a golf cart. We were pleasantly surprised by their thoughtful gesture of congratulating us on our wedding anniversary.

My wife and I stayed here on our honeymoon in 2004. 21 years later, it has expanded and gotten nicer. Our second stay was wonderful again. Only 4 stars because the staff seemed disorganized, which led to a couple minor issues. Also, the food in the restaurants is not great, and expensive. The breakfast buffet, however, is awesome and we looked forward to it, including excellent coffee service. Overall a really nice place to stay.
