Pão de Açúcar

Got what we wanted at a reasonable price, quite a large supermarket. Cashier was quite grumpy though.

Not the biggest supermarket, but you find really almost everything that you need, or at least basic versions of groceries. I appreciated big offer of fresh vegetable and fruit. Payment process was quite slow. The cash desk where I stood was very fast at all, despite not having that many people in a queue ahead of me.

A full scale urban grocery store. The fruits and vegetables are great and they have a large selection of groceries including some international options.

Nicely organised supermarket but customer service at the cashiers is terrible! They are working very inefficiently! Extremely slow! All the time long lines. Self checkout is a disaster. 2 out of 4 machines broken for weeks. Scanning never works perfectly. Fruits and vegetables have to be attended by a cashier. Terrible!

With 2 cashiers and non working self-checkout system this place is a total nightmare!

When I visited it was too cloudy to even see the top of the sugar loaf, but it was still so worth the visit. There are 2 cable car trips to get to the top where you will find shops and cafés. You can walk around a bit of the rainforest when you're at the top and see the beautiful trees and some marmosets. The only negative is that the tickets are quite pricey.

Tremendous views of the city and surrounding area. Easy to spend 4-5 hours just hanging around. Lots of monkeys that are addicted to sweets. :-)
