Coastal Bear's Pizza

It was pretty expensive but the pizza I ordered was good, tho I feel the sauce could be better the chesse was very good. I also loved the milkshake i got. It is only 4 stars because it was very expensive and they forgot to give my friend their pizza.

One particular worker was extremely hostile and passive aggressive towards my wife and I when we were ordering and throughout the night. The pizza was not very great either and I found a hair in my milkshake.

I went there today, I have been there before and have ordered breadsticks, and this time the breadsticks looked very odd, it looked like they used shredding cheese and put it on after they baked the bread. It tasted fine but it took 25 minutes to get a messed up order of breadsticks. I did spend 25 bucks because I bought breadsticks, 4 sodas, and 4 ranches because I was having lunch with my friends.

Great place. We’re in town for 2 days before bear hunt. Had great pizza here served by Cassidy. Salad was fabulous. Fresh greens and lot of veggies. Gluten free version of pizza was excellent as well.

The food is ok, but the staff is friendly and the atmosphere is awesome

Every summer, we stay at the dock and get Papa Bear's pizza. It has become a tradition shared with many friends and family. The best pizza ever.

Sadly that Papa Bear's Pizza is up for sale. Anyone who is looking for an investment on a pizza palor come over to Petersburg, AK. If i.had the funds to buy it I would. It's a good place to eat and meet ppl. Someone come and save the place

Surprisingly good little pizza spot in a part of the world not known for pizza. The crust is extremely thick but tasteful and not dry. The toppings are generous and well done. Plus, you can order by the slice, which is really convenient for a quick lunch. The best part is they're on display, so just point to the one that looks good and say "I'd like that one, please". :)

Very good pizza, though the price is pretty steep. I'd get another veggie pizza there if I ever were in Petersburg again. A missing component is beer! It would be a great addition to a pizza place! The cheese shortage is a big bummer!

Excellent pizza! Thick crust, soft on inside & chewy on outside. Generous with the toppings. Great cookies and lots of other choices on their menu. Friendly service

My all time FAV pizza! Love the people & the food My daughter actually buys pizza here and brings them in zip-locks to Everett WA as it is her boyfriends FAV! (She took 2 large pizzas back with her after the holidays this year!)

Great calzones. The staff recommended the dish and I was very happy with it. The ingredients were fresh. The portion was big. They even text me when my order was ready. They have ice cream and milkshakes. The restaurant is clean. I definitely would return.

I don't live here, but tried this place tonight. I had an amazing pepperoni pizza (got a 12", but it seemed bigger!) The pizza was classic and delicious! I loved the bready crust, the sauce (might order extra sauce next time), and the zesty pepperonis! It's simple inside, but seems like a great family spot! I would try this place again!

Family friendly and lots of choices for toppings. Pizza is yummy for a deep dish, reminds me of the Shakey's from my childhood. Closes at 7.

Had the Pena sandwich - "The Viking"; having spent many years in NYC, you grow to have expectations when it comes to pizzerias - I'm happy to say that this sandwich met & exceeded what I expected. Can't wait until my next trip to Petersburg to try a different menu item.

This place was said to be something special and while I will not give it a poor rating it was certainly nothing better than average tasting pizza that took forever for them to serve us (I guess the secret is to order an hour and a half in advance) and came with a price that would have bought a nice steak in the 48 lower States. I agree with the guy that says this is geared for the locals and maybe in Petersburg that is how it has to be to stay in business but I was about to fall asleep before we finally got served I will not eat here again because the quality of food was not worth the LONG wait and HIGH prices

Best pizza in the state of Alaska?!? Nothing more then a decent pizza, they got big kitchen but yet one oven :((( long waiting one pizza ,more then 45 min and restaurant wasn't busy as much , pizza is not bad at all but pretty expensive.

The pizza tasted OK but the crust was floppy and soft. He sure to ask how long it's gonna take to get your pizza. They can be very very slow. We were the only two people in the restaurant and it took 40 minutes for us to get a 12 inch pizza. It turns out they had a lot of phone orders they didn't warn us about.

Pizza was the best we have had... here in little Petersburg! What a pleasant surprise. Quality of the food definitely ranked number 1 in the little fishing town. What was lacking in sophistication was more than made up for with hospitality and taste. Great place to eat.

Was visiting Petersburg for a wedding and stopped by for lunch. The dough was just perfect for my taste. Been to a lot of small towns and the mom and pop shops rarely ever disappoint! I can tell you they won't lack in toppings! Staff was so nice and courteous. We got a huge bowl of salad to share and it was more than enough split between 3 grown men. They have free Wi-Fi for those traveling from afar. Definitely allowed me to get some things done. Would definitely recommend it for lunch stop or snack while in Petersburg and craving pizza.

Very impressed, especially for small town Alaska. Pricing is reasonable for up here, food was awesome. High school kids, maybe recent grads running the counter/kitchen, but very polite. The Pane sandwich is a winner, I'll be ordering another one before I leave. Not a lot of choices in Petersburg, make this one you try.

I was pleasantly surprised to find such an outstanding pizza restaurant in a small town! We had a build-your-own pizza with garlic, mushroom, black olive and jalapeños and it was delicious! I noticed a framed article on the wall indicating their pizza had won second place in some type of international pizza competition. That part was not surprising.

I've heard the pizza is really good but since I can't eat gluten I cannot review it. Service is incredibly slow even when you're the only people in there!! I ordered a salad and I was super disappointed. It was not worth what I paid. The lettuce was shredded ice berg that you would see on a taco. Horrible.

Great Pizza, excellent prices also! Not many places to go to in Petersburg but this place would hold it's own in a large "Pizza friendly" city anytime. Closes at 8PM for orders.

Great meat lovers pizza! We ordered a large and thought we wouldn't be able to eat it all but we did. Fast service and delivery right to our hotel room. Reasonable price.
