Papalo

We decided for one night in Nerja to try something more fancy and we found Papalo. Nice Place, very modern and very different from the places around in the city center. We have taken a main plate each and a cheese cake. Main plates ( fish based ) were nice, but they way how they were prepared, especially in the case of the Cod, It covered the taste of the Cod itself making it a little bit difficult to finish; for what concern Cheesecake, It was good. It's a personal taste here, but for sure everything was well prepared and well served!

We decided to come here on a whim as the people sitting outside were eating what looked like absolutely delicious food! Thankfully they had a cancellation so we got a table and ate a fantastic meal. Prawns were spot on tasty and the steak was fab. Lovely wine and a great coffee to finish off. A little more pricey than some other nearby places but you really do pay for quality and wonderful service at Papalo and it's very much worth it.

This was not only the best meal of our holiday but probably the best meal I’ve had in years. The first 2 photos are tapas starters which were perfectly cooked and extremely tasty. The 2 mains as you can see were sublime. If you are looking for cheap and average food this is not the place for you, as this restaurant could easily hold its own in Mayfair London. Will be returning whenever I come back home to Spain. Well done to Danny, Ben & the team. 10/10 Perfection!

Delicious fusion food! The prawns in the curry sauce were so good that I ordered another portion straight after! The fried Icecream was an amazing experience! Our host (Ben) was incredible from start to finish, a true gentleman. A delightful night, couldn’t recommend this place enough.

Excellent evening meal in Nerja. Run by British family I think but definitely not a disadvantage. Very well stocked bar but the house wines were excellent. Nice separate bar area too, AC in the modern restaurant area and street-side seating. Great service, especially thanks to our waiter Ben. Food was very well but together and prepared. Very generous portion sizes for the type of place which was nice, and amazing value for money coming from the UK where equivalanent food would easily be >£100. Especially recommend the prawn starter and the lamb main. We also had the pork main which was nice but a bit too salted due to the soy. We would 100% return and fully recommend to anyone visiting Nerja, need to reserve though (phone or email) as they book up. Also take cash if planning to give a tip as they can't add tips to card payments which meant we gave a bit less than we would have liked.

Restaurante - Papalo - A delightful experience, with great food, plenty of choice, super tasty and good size portions, excellent customer service, attentive and friendly and a nice ambience in a fully air-conditioned restaurant. Kids catered for too , price range €€€. For starters, Goats cheese salad and Gambas. The salad was super tasty, Gambas was excellent , plenty of them in a delicious jus. Main course, Salmon , Pork and Steak , well presented , good size and very tasty. Deserts - seasonal fruit salad and mango, mango sorbet , crème brûlée and baked ice cream - please please try the baked ice cream. Overall a really good experience.

Super delicious tapas and main dishes, service was also very nice. Good ambience, but gets very loud when restaurant is full. For a four people group or more - it can be hard to hear each other across the table. Desserts were not good - nicely made, but poor final execution & taste finish. CrèmeBrulle at least in our case was overburnt and taste was overdone with coffee.

One of the best meals we had in Nerja, the food was absolutely incredible. Don't miss this on your trip . Staff were lovely and attentive . We had a table down the side it was nice a quiet. Still a bit of buzz of people around
