I landed in Charlotte and wanted a quick hostess gift for my family member. I looked on the website, but could find a basket that had exactly what I wanted. Sales associate Rebecca helped us to tee while we were waiting for our rental at the airport! She walked us through each item and allowed us to pay over the phone. Pick up was also easy and seamless. My problem began with the quality of the gift. The baskets don’t include cellophane or a bow to make the gift special. I purchased a ribbon to zhuzh the gift a little more but it was definitely missing something. But Rebecca did her BIG ONE! Big shout out to Rebecca.

So love this place! Exceptional selection of cards, gifts, funny things for parties, beautiful gift, wrap, and some of the best candles in Charlotte! Oh, and don’t ever buy that Chapel Hill Toffee they sell! Why you ask? You eat it all at once is that good😂. Last but not least the staff is always amazing.

Perfection! I finally had a chance to stop by to check out this store & I can say without a doubt, it blew me away! It’s packed with paper lovers dream products like stationary, exquisite wrapping paper, unique greeting cards & inspirational books & even gorgeous coffee table books. They even stock my favorite Dock & Bay 100% recycled (quick dry) towels. Let’s not forget the children’s section & a some really cool stuff for the guys in your life, home products, too! You absolutely must check out this store the next time you are in the South End area. It’s really close by & so worth the visit!

This is my second time, in this store so I decided to do a review. The Skyscraper has been around Charlotte for sometime. I hidden treasure for the locals and travellers. In fact, while the store, I heard two couples speaking French. I took pictures that are the oblivious store displays but saw some interesting items for the home, car and personal uses. Oh, yes the books on Charlotte. I picked up a guide of places to go around Charlotte. There is one for the Carolinas. 💕 Stop on by and support one of Charlotte's few places that remembers Charlotte then and now.

I walked in this store looking for gift items for a college and all I can say is... Reagan and Kam are the BEST! They listened and went above and beyond during my purchase. I don't have the best hand writing or wrapping skills. However, Reagan was able to assist with wrapping a book for me and writing a card of "thank you" for me. These ladies are a 10/10 when it comes to customer service skills. Thank you both!

I cannot say enough good things about paper skyscraper; it's a charlotte staple and my personal favorite place to shop for the PERFECT greeting card. their east blvd. is wonderful, BUT the davidson store might just be my favorite - easy parking, so much good product, friendly staff.

It's pretty much packed store full of gift items as everyone else has said I will say that the gift items range from hysterically tacky to slightly tacky to lots of socks with sayings on them and items that are locally or made in Asheville, etc. You can find a lot of the stuff on Fred website or Kirkland or world market so the uniqueness is not overly outstanding I think the thing that would make me come back are the kitchen towels and a really good selection of interesting books Overall of fun experience if you're in the mood

Listed as a stationary store, this does have that but a whole lot more. Starting with tchotchkes and puzzles and games ... and moving on to tea and coffee supplies and books/magazines this place has a little bit of everything. We came in looking for a few thank you gifts and left with some wine and appetizer plates, some stationary stuff, earings, shower steamers, fudge, cat stationary ... all to say this is a great gift place. Helpful people, and loads of different gift ideas. Hard to describe but worth the visit.

I've loved this place ever since I lived in charlotte. Luckily I am in town every 3 months or so and always stop by PS and stock up on cards, gifts- also great purses, accessories, pet stuff, fun home office things - and one of the best book and magazine selections in town. Service is fantastic, so helpful and friendly. Also a fun place to go and then eat and shop nearby w your Mom or girlfriends, it is close to a bunch of good restaurants

This is my absolute favorite gift shop and I always stop I'm whenever I'm in Charlotte. I don't even know how to describe it but if you need a gift for someone and don't know what to get, this place will inspire you! Or of course you could treat yourself too ;) so many unique and fun home decor items, books, kitchenware, art, etc and an AMAZING card and gifting section. I could spend so much time here, I love wandering around and I wish I could buy everything!

This is one of my favorite stores in Charlotte. You can find local products as well as fun and curious ones. Staff is friendly and professional. The store is easy to find, and the GPS will take you straight to it if you are not familiar with the area. There is plenty of free parking in front of the store and on the side. This is the type of store where you have a lot of fun shopping.

What a neat place! I had the pleasure of visiting this unique shop a while back and I was in love. I love the huge variety of products they have, from funny cards, toys, nostalgic games, notebooks, etc. It was honestly even better than I expected. I can't wait to come back. I do remember the staff there was very helpful and friendly, and that the shop was pretty busy. For a good reason too! Lovely options to buy, so much funny stuff there to enjoy and laugh about. Great place to buy gifts or something for yourself even! I got a Dali Llama ceramic mug with a llama on it! I use it often and always think about my visit! I remember, too, seeing many funny cards there that really made me chuckle. Little cards you could leave on people's windshields who parked badly!!! I thought that was unique and really hilarious. I will come back soon!

A one stop location for gifts, stationery, and a bit of a everything. The shop carries items like cards, wrapping paper, gourmet NC treats, books, and more in one shop. They have a lot but it is small with very few spots. (Best to try to go when it's not a peak time or day.) There is a variety of price points here so it's easy to find something you're looking for. Maybe a couple of the items might be a little higher, but you're usually going to find unique items that set your gift apart. I will say that some of the aisles are a bit narrow and can be tricky to navigate if it's a busy period. Usually other customers are pretty accommodating about getting out of the way for you if you need to move around, but did want to note that for people who might not love the close quarters. Staff are polite whenever I've gone. They usually leave people alone to browse in the shop.

Bottom Line: Yes, the hype is true, this is a wonderful gift store! Not only does Paper Skyscraper get five stars but so does my husband because he is the one who told me that we needed to check out this store. Paper Skyscraper is fairly large for a gift store and packed full of gifty goodness like cards, books, jewelry, lotion, calendars, mugs, housewares and such. I live close to some really great gift stores so while I did see some similar items to what I'd find back home I also came across some unique finds and some items specific to Charlotte. I could have spent a lot of time in here but it was a bit crowded when I visited so after honing in on a stress pickle (much more fun that a stress ball and equally therapeutic) and some whimsical, nautical themed dish towels I made a bee-line for the register. After reading various reviews that discussed a busy parking lot we decided to park several blocks down at the public parking lot and walk. It was a nice day so we were glad for the extra steps but come to find out there were plenty of open spots available in the lot on a Saturday afternoon. If I ever return to Charlotte Paper Skyscraper will surely be at the top of my list for places to visit!

I've been coming here for 20 plus years. The selections are always great ! You never know what you may find. If you're looking for that perfect gift, this is the place!! You won't be disappointed.

Found so many wonderful ideas today at Paper Skyscraper!! Went for graduation cards and found incredible toys for Easter baskets or birthday gifts! Plenty of hilarious cards and paper notes like my Dwight note pad or Schitts Creek card! And goodies for my kid like squeeze ball, bouncy ball and a bath/pool toy octopus! Wonderful staff to help and amazing ideas for gifts with unique and humorous gifts!! A CLT treasure!!!

Paper Skyscraper is my go-to for cute presents. They have a great selection and variety of products. I especially love all the Charlotte-specific options they have as well. The staff are always friendly and helpful. They provide great recommendations.

A lot of cute knick knacks. A great place to buy gifts. They have jewelry, cute cards, tea, household items and more. You can get Charlotte merchandise here too. It is pricey but super cute. They have free parking, which is nice.

This was a lovely stop for souveniors for our loved ones to bring back home! They had EVERYTHING you could imagine. They had clothes, kitchen utensils, kitchen towels, stationary, seasonings, candy, toys for kids, games, candles, local snacks, the list goes on and on. They have sentimental gifts, quirky gifts, gifts for pets, "dirty" gifts [wink wink], and gifts clean enough to give to your grandparents. The ladies at the front were super nice. They are a bit pricey. Hubby and I didn't go totally crazy, but we did spend close to $100. Cute. Great service. a bit expensive.

I was looking for a local business to provide thank you gifts to the hospital staff caring for my grandmother. Not only was their website easy to use, but a nice employee was available by phone to answer questions. My order was ready the same day. The quality was high and the prices were fair. I am pleased. I recently moved to Charlotte from California so I wanted to send little packages of local goods to all my friends out west. This place had everything I needed and more!! So many local snacks, paper goods, tshirts, candles. This store exceeded my expectations. An added bonus- they have parking and very friendly staff!

Paper Skyscraper is one of the cutest and most fun gift shops in the city. They have a little bit of everything, literally. It's such dope one stop gift shop, if you are shopping for multiple people (or yourself). I always recommend this place to people who I know like out of the box gift ideas or quirky gift ideas, or even very sentimental ones. They have something for everyone and that's what I love about it. It's not your traditional shop either because they also carry a lot of local merchandise or Charlotte themed merch. Which is always great to see around the city! This is one of my favorite stores honestly. Can't go wrong here!

Need cards for multiple different occasions? They've got it. Need candles? Books? Gift ideas? Locally made finds? Oh, they've got it! This place is great for all your gift buying needs. You can easily spend an hour looking at all the different stuff that they have. I like that they have locally sourced/made products mixed in with all other stuff. Staff is always so nice and friendly. Be prepared that parking can be a little bit of a nightmare as it's right off the street. Be careful pulling out.

Sadly, I can't recommend this little shop. What I wanted was a stationary store. What I found was a nick-nack store. You know the kind, with the "wine o'clock" glasses and books on millennial ennigrams? The kitchen towels with the sort of funny if they weren't so negative sayings that people buy but no one really wants? Like that. They do have a small selection of Cranes notecards, but nothing notable. Nothing local, and nothing like what I was looking for.

This place is outstanding for the unique gift for that special person. So many different types of gifts including original art & crafts from locals. They do a great job stocking items that are uniquely Charlotte. I went to several locations around town looking for something as simple as a Charlotte Skyline postcard only to be disappointed. Here I found several as well as some other great gift ideas. The challenge is going to be parking. It's right next door to Thai Taste so if you going during lunch, you'll be lucky to find a spot in their tiny parking lot.

This is a hidden gem! I love this store so much! My sister and her boyfriend were visiting us all the way from Scottsdale Arizona. They wanted to find some "Charlotte" items and this place came highly recommended by my friends. We got to check this store out and we were in here for about 2 hours! So many neat things! I found a book about Charlotte to buy as well as some crazy candy bars and some postcards. My sister and her boyfriend bought a handful of things too! They bought some oven gloves that were quite funny! They bought this little silicon thing that holds a pair of glasses. They bought some post cards as well as a table conversation game. I never got to take a picture of the stuff we got but I will once my husband opens up his gifts! The staff was super friendly. The place was very clean and well kept. They also had a dog lying around! At first my sister thought it was a rug but then it moved! Lol. I highly recommend this place to anyone who lives here or comes to visit.

New to the area and saw this store across the street from my nail salon. I thought it might be a stationary store, but it's the gift store of my dreams! Literally has something for everyone. With every corner I turned I thought of a particular person or friend in my life and how I'd come here for any occasion that requires a gift. From books to scents to games to appliances to toys to jewelry and local goods/finds. Funny gifts, dirty jokes/mature audience gifts, and gifts for those who aren't into the aforementioned categories, haha. They also have disposable masks at the entry for customers! It's on a very walkable street and has parking outside. Can't wait to go back!

After living in Charlotte for over 20 years, with 15 of those years in Dilworth, Paper Skyscraper is my go to spots for cards, gifts and some unique home items. Paper Skyscraper sells books, jewelry, cards, including some of the best Christmas card selection in Charlotte, toys, wrapping, home items and some unique products made by local vendors. Every visit I seem to find something new and love it. Although the shop may seem small/tightly packed, and may be a little crowded, especially during holiday seasons, take some time to enjoy it and you will not leave without making a purchase, I promise you that!

This is one of my favorite shops in Charlotte. I could get lost in here for hours. They have a very unique assortment of knick knacks. My favorite part is all of the unique to Charlotte things. There are books, art, maps, etc all done by local businesses. I love their kitchen section as well. It's really hard to describe what you can find here. Games, books, kitchen stuff, gift wrapping, local guides, art, socks, ornaments, the list goes on. It's a great place to find a gift for almost anyone. I would definitely recommend checking it out and spending some time browsing around.

This is one of the best local gift stores in Charlotte! It is spacious and filled with hundreds of thoughtful gifts for everyone in your life (especially yourself)! There is plenty of parking out front of the store or on the street before the store, so don't fret! Inside is packed full of goodies, so be careful when walking around. The workers are super friendly and make you feel seen if you want to wander in peace and heard if you need help finding something specific! There are plenty of gifts for men as well! To the right side of the store in the far corner there are a bunch of Charlotte and North Carolina gifts that I personally love! I recently purchased a Charlotte dish towel and coffee cup that look amazing in my kitchen! PS there is a doodle dog that roams the store and she is soo friendly!

What a gem of a place - they literally have a gift for anyone and everyone on your list! Some of their stuff can get a bit pricey, but they have such a wide variety of things that I can always find something to fit my budget. Love going here any chance I can!

My favorite store I in Charlotte for books, Bizarre finds and all the local goodies a girl could want. I popped in on a rainy Saturday to kill time before a massage and I roamed, read and touched every thing in the store and almost missed my appointment. Great place to get lost in time in and to find all the stuff you didn't know you needed.

Paper Skyscraper is the absolute BEST place to buy gifts in Charlotte. They have a very eclectic and cool variety of merchandise. I've been going to this store for over 15 years and the staff has always been wonderful and very helpful. If you've never visited Paper Skyscraper, you are missing out on one of Charlotte's gems.

Extremely cool store, loaded with tons of stuff you don't need. It's a tight squeeze so careful not to knock over anything, because you'll have to sell your house to pay for it. They're very expensive and I didn't get a friendly vibe from any of the employees. I purchased some postcards and a 5$ chocolate bar which was meh ok. I would recommend a visit to the store to see some of the cool things, but that's about it.

This is one of my favorite stores in Charlotte! It's my go-to store for gifts for people I know well and people I don't know well. And my go to store for cards and stationary. Staff is always helpful. Bummed to see negative reviews by people who were looking for something very specific. I'm sure the staff would have answered your questions before making a trip over and being disappointed. Not sure your disappointment warrants negative reviews

I'm not sure why I never popped into this store before, I've certainly seen it on Yelp often enough. So much more than just greeting cards and wrapping paper! The store is chock full of the sort of gifts you give to the person who "has everything" because for sure they don't have all of these things. Whiskey stones (like ice cubes but they don't melt) and an icicle insert to chill wine from the inside and "cheeky" fridge magnets and odd calendars and clocks and just too many unique things to list. It's just a really neat store and if you are looking for gifts, then this is the place you need to go. Prices are not cheap and they're not outrageous expensive. For most of the stuff I saw, it seemed to be priced about right.

This store has the great stuff and decor. Things that you do not normally find in box stores you will find them here! I rarely leave the store empty handed! Be prepared to pay little more and it's a small shop after all.

Great place to pick up Charolette swag from visiting! I am always on the hunt for an ornament from the city I am visiting. This place had the perfect one for just $10. This store also would be a great place for cute gifts and quirky home decor items. Fun place to just walk around and window shop quirky stuff.

So many great personal gifts, beautiful handmade wrapping paper, lots of great items for feminists, progressives, kids. Love that there are so many children's books featuring kids of color too; this is often hard to find. The only con is that you might become addicted and want to spend all of your money there!

This is such a groovy shop! I would say that when it comes to shopping in Charlotte, it's at the top of my list. It's great if you need to buy a card, or if you want to find a bigger gift, even if it's for yourself! Definitely worth a visit!

I love this store! Even when I don't end up buying anything, it's such a fun place to browse around and see what they have. Books, stationary, and all kinds of trinkets and great things for gifts...they've got a little of everything. The prices vary and are sometimes a little on the higher side but the uniqueness of the items makes it worth it. The staff is always very friendly and willing to help if you're looking for something in particular. It's a bit tight to move around the store, but it adds to its charm and makes finding that special item even more fun.

They have a lot of items but it was easy to get around in. I could walk around this store for a while. My favorite part is the dog that lays around the floor lol.

I have walked by and heard of Paper Skyscraper for a couple years but have never gone in until this week. I wanted to find some local gifts to mail to customers and was so impressed by this store. They had a great selection from games to candles to Charlotte themed gifts and more. The staff was super helpful, they did an amazing job with cleanliness and social distancing restrictions. I got some great little gifts!
