This was by far one of the best dining experiences that we have had. It was Mother's Day and the place was completely packed so we asked if they could take us early for our reservation and they said yes if we wanted to sit outside. The noise level was nil as we were literally only one of 2 groups outside so it was very quiet and calm and sunny with the right amount of shade and misters. It was an absolutely perfect day, excellent service and food. Our server was hands down the best server I have ever encountered. He was very attentive, polite and took care of us very well. This was a great experience. I highly recommend coming in and dining.

This place was amazing. The atmosphere was casual and comfortable. The staff was awesome and the food was out of this world. Our server David was so helpful and attentive. This was a birthday dinner gift from my mom to myself and husband. Our birthdays are on the same day and we both got an individual dessert on the house. Amazing! The bread was brought first and was really good. Had the hot honey alligator bites appetizer and they were really good. I’ve never tried alligator. Then a side of jumbo shrimp to have with the meal. I got the fillet mignon Oscar with lump crab and white wine sauce with the manchego (Spanish manchega sheep milk cheese) mashed potatoes and broccolini. It melted in my mouth. My husband had the aged ribeye with the same potatoes but got the dirty rice. David gave us a sample to try just to make sure we liked it and it was delicious. I picked the homemade strawberry cheesecake with strawberry drizzle and my husband got the banana pudding in a jar. Phenomenal desserts. There is not one single thing we didnt like. We stuffed ourselves and got the rest to go home. We have enough for dinner tonight in leftovers. I can’t wait to go try again and this time we will try some other stuff and be a little daring. My son is a fish eater so hoping we can take him with us next time. It was expensive but honestly it was all so worth it. I would highly recommend this place for top notch food. Thank you David for your suggestions and help. Next time we visit we will ask to sit in your section.

Google
(Would give 4.5 if I could) The food was amazing! We ordered the ribeye, red snapper with shrimp and dirty rice, Louisiana gumbo, hot honey alligator, and the turtle fudge brownie — everything was delicious and full of flavor. Was it expensive? Yes — our total came to $215 for two people (before tip). I’d love to give this place a 4.5 just to take a half-point off for the price, but everything else was top-notch. I’m not a seafood fan, but my husband loves seafood and Cajun food, and I still found plenty of great options for myself. Our server, DJ, was on point — attentive and had great suggestions. We’ll definitely be back for special occasions!

This place is an upper echelon restaurant. If you want actual good seafood, this is your place. But prepare your pocketbook ahead of time. My favorite was the red snapper with butternut squash. It was divine. Our waiter, Chris, was amazing, very attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and friendly. My glass was refilled before it was empty everytime. Highly recommend you try this place at least once in your life. You won't regret it.

First time eating at pappadeaux. It was a great place overall. For food, I had the andouille & seafood gumbo (shrimp and crab) It was delicious! Needed lemon and a bit of spicy nothing the waiter couldn't bring. I then ordered the aged ribeye with manchego cheese potatoes (their spin toash potatoes 🥔) Cooked medium rare. I must say it was perfectly cooked! For dessert, I had to have the banana 🍌 pudding. Words can not describe the flavor! So you must try it! The price for 6 people was about $360+ tip. Was this pricey? In my opinion it was very worthed I think the quality of their food and the freshness of their product was worth this experience. Blame inflation, maybe The service from our waiter Ben is worthy of being mentioned. As he was an outstanding waiter, he was very attentive to us and other tables around us. Great service Ben! Will be back soon! Peace ✌️ and Love ❤️

Not all Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchens are created the same. I got the same meal from a restaurant in San Antonio, Texas, and in Phoenix, Arizona, and the restaurant in San Antonio was much better! It would be nice if they prepared the same meal the same! I am disappointed with the mean here in Phoenix. I don't remember having pork in the rice in San Antonio. The fist picture is from the Phoenix restaurant and the second picture is from the San Antonio restaurant. The flavors are much tastier from San Antonio!

We came here to celebrate our anniversary, our server Ashley was absolutely fabulous. If you choose to visit, please ask for one of her tables. She is very knowledgeable and informative about the menu items. The food was incredibly delicious and the ambiance truly made you feel like you were in the French Quarter of New Orleans. We ordered a watermelon mint lemonade (non alcoholic), a ruby slipper, the Texas red fish, rainbow trout, honey glazed alligator bites, grilled octopus, oysters on the half (so fresh), the fried oysters were delicious and the dirty rice was on point! We rarely order dessert but we didn’t want to miss out. I had the cheesecake (flavorful and dense) and my wife had the pecan sweet potato pie a la mode. Overall, Papadeux is a beautiful restaurant with a fast, efficient staff and fresh seafood here in the desert! A true gem and a must try! Remember to ask for Ashley, she really went above and beyond to make our dining experience special and our anniversary wonderful! We now have a “Go to” spot for seafood!

Arrived Friday with no wait for two people in the evening. Was craving seafood so decided to finally try this place. The inside is spacious and ambience is like a romantic setting. The service was attentive and kept our drinks full and table clean. The seafood was great, but not mind blowing as I thought I would expect. The portions were decent and the prices are what I expected from a place like this. Also, got the garlic bread because I could never resist, but these were also okay.

Yelp
Pappadeaux is my favorite restaurant. I have visited both locations in Chicago and in Phoenix and they both are excellent.

Yelp
Every time I've come here has exceeded my expectations. Took my mother-in-law and her sister here, and we left happier than clams at high tide. The second we walked in, it smelled like the bayou invited us over for dinner. The red fish was probably the best fish I've ever had. And the Old Fashioned? Absolute perfection--smooth, balanced, and the kind of drink that makes you want to slow down and just enjoy the moment. We finished with the pecan sweet potato pie, which was rich, nutty, and just the right amount of sweet--basically, the kind of dessert that makes you forget you were full. Extra gold star to the staff for how graciously they handled my crying 2-year-old--zero judgment, quick smiles, and even a little extra attention to help calm things down.

Yelp
Food - Pappadeaux definitely serves up comfort food, but I found a lot of the menu items to be overpriced for the quality. It almost feels like a Red Lobster with a Louisiana twist, and I'd love to see about $10 knocked off of practically every item on the menu. That said, I didn't have any major problems with the food itself. I think the pricing and quality just don't align for me. I'd love to come back for a date night sometime and try the dinner menu, though, as it might offer a different experience. Service - The staff at Pappadeaux was incredibly friendly. Our waitress was very attentive, providing great suggestions and remembering our orders perfectly. However, there were times when she was gone for quite a while, and the food also took a long time to come out, which was surprising since we went in just before the lunch rush. While the staff was great, the wait times were a definite issue. Ambiance - The ambiance is very fun and lively. It reminded me of the feeling of places like Applebee's or Cracker Barrel from when I was a kid--a kind of nostalgic, bustling comfort. However, there was a noticeable issue with flies. I'm okay with one or two, but there were several hovering around us, which was a bit off-putting and distracted from the overall experience.

Yelp
We just went here for lunch today on the way out of Phoenix. It's one of my favorite places to stop whenever I'm in the area. I've been coming here for at least 25 years because of the amazing ambience and food and have never been disappointed. Today though was a slightly different story. One of my favorite things to get on every visit is blackened alligator, which has been removed from the menu. It was extremely disappointing. Another item I was looking forward to was crawfish or lobster bisque, which they also discontinued. There were three of us so we opted to get a dozen oysters and 3 bowls of seafood gumbo which were and always are amazing. The prices continue to rise, but I guess that is life. We had a total of two bloody Mary's and one lemonade along with the food. With tip $170 which is just starting to get a little pricey for me for lunch. The service was amazing as usual, but I'm not sure if I will always come back to visit every time I'm in the area if I can't get my blackened alligator fix.

Yelp
We took a drive and decided on lunch (actually an early dinner, wow) here. The blue point oysters were tasty! The crabcakes were awesome!! Generous portions of crab, seasoned and cooked to perfection. I opted for the Swordfish and my gosh it was some of the best prepared swordfish ever. Moist and tasty, with a nice lump of crab on top. Topped it with a Voodoo Ranger IPA on tap. Service was attentive, friendly and helpful with special requests.

Yelp
This place is so nice inside outside. Staff is great. The food is amazing. They have the best étouffée and their catfish is bomb.com. Do not miss out on the shrimp and crawfish fondue you won't regret.

Yelp
Pappadeaux is a special place. Pricy but so so good. Tonight I had the grouper with the lump crab and I added a side of the manchego potato puree. Every single bite was chef's kiss. Fantastic service- very attentive and professional and when you walk in you're transported to New Orleans where they know how to do seafood. It's normally packed so snag a reservation online!

Yelp
Before I begin my review, just know this: I have a deep love for this restaurant, tied to countless childhood memories. I've been coming here since I was 8 years old -- family reunions, post-road trip dinners, you name it. The service has always been top-notch, and the staff are consistently kind and welcoming. The environment and vibes of this restaurant always give me good energy. Food: We started with the fresh oysters, and holy moly -- they tasted like they came straight from the ocean. In Arizona?! HELLO?!?!?! Wild. But let's talk about the real reason we keep coming back: the fried gator. Sadly, they recently changed the recipe. It's still good, but I seriously miss the old one. The new version puts more focus on the sauce than the gator itself. It's got a spicy kick (which I don't mind), but it takes away from the true flavor of the gator meat. Just doesn't hit the same. I had the Atlantic salmon, which was perfectly cooked and served with broccoli. A squeeze of lemon juice brought everything together beautifully. My friends ordered the fried oysters, the catfish dinner, and the shrimp platter -- all of which were absolutely delicious. I found myself wishing I had ordered the catfish or oysters because they were fried to perfection without drying out. Usually, fried fish loses all its juiciness, but somehow, Pappadeaux keeps it fresh and crispy. Magic. Now let me put you on to this drink: the Watermelon Mango Tango Margarita (blended). GUYS. YOU. HAVE. TO. GET. IT. So, so, SO good -- honestly the best drink I had all day, especially in this heat. We wrapped up the meal with a slice of key lime pie, which they comped for us since they had run out of guava and strawberry syrup for one of our drinks. Super kind gesture, and the pie was delicious. Overall: I love this restaurant deeply, but I'm giving it a 4/5. The change to the fried gator recipe really threw me off. As much as I cherish the memories and everything else on the menu, that gator was the reason I kept making the drive. Still a great spot -- just hoping they bring the old recipe back someday.

Yelp
They're not a lot of seafood choices in the Phoenix area. At least I haven't seen many. This place is huge, but make a reservation if you come on the weekend, they can get pretty busy. The vibe of this place is pretty cool. Obviously, the nautical theme is present and it's really nice. The service is hit and miss, just like any chain restaurant. One time we came here and they were out of Tito's, and there was no one available to shuck oysters. I thought that was pretty peculiar, but that is just a sign of the times. The food is always pretty good, but maybe a little pricey for what you get. Most likely, I will be back.

Yelp
My husband and I had a date lunch at Pappadeaux's and it was awesome!! The atmosphere, service, and food is great. It is relaxing to where you can take your time eating a fabulous meal and sit while enjoying a drink with appetizers. My husband enjoyed his oysters. They switch out their menus every so often. This was great for us because they had the crab cakes with lemon caper butter sauce. Our main dishes were the Wild-Caught Swordfish with Jumbo Crab and Pasta Mardi Gras. You can't go wrong with either dish because they were a burst of flavor in your mouth and cooked to perfection. Try it you won't regret it!!

Yelp
I try to visit Pappadeaux whenever I'm in town and it never disappoints . The food was excellence it was my first time ever trying a grilled item and it did not disappoint ! Our server was friendly and very thoughtful even had them split the food for us since we were sharing . And the ambiance great per usual I'll be back when I'm in town

Yelp
One of our favorite Cajun spots in Arizona for special occasions. For appetizers, we had a dozen fresh oysters and the Hot Honey Glazed Gator Bites--definitely a must-try! The bread was softer than before but still delicious. For the main course, we had the Atlantic Salmon Alexander with shrimp, scallops, crawfish, and creamy white wine sauce--perfectly cooked. The Pappadeaux Platter was loaded with seafood, and we added extra fried shrimp and crawfish. The Shrimp & Crawfish Fondeaux was fantastic, especially with their garlic bread. We also tried the Seafood Tagliatelle Pasta and Pasta Mardi Gras, both generous portions packed with flavor. For dessert, we enjoyed the Key Lime Pie and Crème Brûlée, which had great caramelized sugar but could've been a bit smoother. Overall, fresh seafood, great flavors, and generous portions.
google avatar

Ismael V.

Yelp
First time here and I was greeted with open arms and a friendly smile. The Shrimp & Crawfish Fondue and "Louisiana" Seafood Gumbo were packed with flavor and absolutely hit the spot. The Crème Brûlée did not disappoint either -- perfectly done. Big thank you to David for the warm service. Great experience all around!

Yelp
Came here the other day for lunch, it was my first time! I loved the old school 90s vibe of the restaurant and our waitress was incredible, she definitely seemed like she'd been doing this a long time. She even noticed my ring and congratulated me on our engagement. The only let down was the red beans and rice which were oddly sweet, tasted like someone had used sugar instead of salt. Outside of that my shrimp was delicious and I would definitely come back try more

Yelp
Pappadeaux Seafood is the closest New Orleans ambiance you can find in metro Phoenix. The food is fresh and there is pride in their presentation and service. Getting fresh seafood in the Valley of the Sun is not easy and Pappadeaux delivers a full range of seafood selections. My swordfish pictured below was well prepared and delicious.

Yelp
While in the Phoenix area, we had dinner at Pappadeaux's. We had the best waiter, Wyatt, who made us feel instantly at home. His easy going personality and personal attention to us, really made our dinner special. We were given hot French bread and whipped butter before dinner. Wyatt's recommendation of Pasta Mardi Gras was fabulous; large portion, very flavorful and definitely a new favorite. Everything from the service, cocktails to our food was perfect. I would absolutely recommend a visit to this restaurant and see if you can be seated in Wyatt's section.

Yelp
We were on vacation with my brother, sister in law and nephew (my nephew lives in Arizona) The beautiful decor of this Arizona restaurant is peaceful and it gives you a tranquil dinning experience. Upon entering very friendly welcome. This was our first time... Our waiter Mike was very helpful and knowledgeable about the menu. Most importantly the food was delicious. We've heard about this restaurant and we definitely see why there is a buzz about it. You will not be disappointed with the quality of food. My only concern was the lump crab on my fish was only a tiny little slither and not even enough to taste. The prices are a bit higher than usual but the food is delicious and we also recommend the dessert. We do recommend this restaurant if you're ever visiting Arizona. (We were also celebrating 35 years of marriage.

Yelp
It had been a minute since we had been to Pappadeaux. Celebrating a birthday this was our pick. Three adults, a 6:15 reservation. Arrived 5 minutes early, sat at 6:35. Marshall was our waiter and he was great. No complaints about our service. Beverages ordered. One soda, one ice tea, one margarita. When our drinks were brought we ordered a calamari appetizer. Appetizer took about 10 minutes to arrive, not bad considering at this point the dining area was extremely busy. Calamari picture perfect with a great tasting coating, but..it was chewy and tough. Ugh. Entrees arrive. My husband said his filet Oscar was amazing even though he ordered medium and it was closer to medium rare. I had a taste of the sauce and it was very good. His baked potato huge. Loaded with plenty of toppings. Two average eaters could share this meal and be full and happy. My Grouper,it had highs and lows. It was picture perfect when put in front of me. Large shrimp with a big piece of grouper surrounded by clams, mussels and scallops ( scallop's' used very lightly here) The tomato seafood broth was a little too fishy for my liking. The clams even though large and meaty were again chewy. Mussels good, tender but on the small side, and several had gritty sand. Grouper cooked nicely and the sauce on top was flavorful but the large piece of fish could have used more sauce. I'm sure if I would have asked for more sauce our waiter would have brought a small container. Four large shrimp, nice texture, no complaints. The biggest letdown of this dish was the scallops. It was sweet and tender and cooked perfectly BUT I only had one. One scallop. The best thing about this dish was a total tease. Garlic toast good. Ordered dessert to share. The brownie was large and warm drizzled with caramel and chocolate sauces, topped with vanilla ice cream. Honestly the brownie didn't need the chocolate sauce. It actually took away from the gooey richness of this sweet treat. We'd order again. This dining experience was just average, a little red lobsterish with a higher price tag, nothing horrible but nothing memorable either. $300 for an app, 2 nonalcoholic drinks, 1 alcoholic drink, 3 entrees, 1 dessert. Will we return. Sure. The service and filet Oscar were perfect

Yelp
I finally made it for dessert. I have been eyeing the turtle brownie for a long time. Each visit I would go in with the plan to get dessert after my meal, but ate so much I would be too full to get dessert. This last plan was executed. I went with my sister and we planned to split a meal and order dessert. I am so happy I was able to try the turtle brownie. It was everything I hoped it would be. It could have come out a little warmer but it was still really good. I especially enjoyed the crunch from the pecans. I left very satisfied

Yelp
POV for the bar and a dessert only. Stopped by for last drink and a sweet dessert before bedtime. The place is big w/ their own huge parking and very busy after dinner time (9-10pm). It's very happening with the locals. Once you're inside, it feels like you're just getting ready for a fun night out. We sat at the bar and enjoyed our last cocktail from this trip and ordered a sweet dessert and just sat back enjoyed the folks. Great, friendly & attentive bartender. Great big set of menu but we couldn't drink nor eat anymore after eating/drinking elsewhere. Very tempting but have to be next time. And it's very convenient for us since our hotel is 5mins away and next to the freeway too.

Yelp
While visiting in Phoenix, since this place had been recommended, we thought let's try it out! I'm glad we did! The place is huge, clean, and upscale. The place was busy, however we were seated quickly. We all wanted to try the Greek salad, which is served table side. It was very good, all ingredients were fresh, and I liked the dressing. I got the wild fresh grouper with lump crab. It was Delicious, and perfectly seasoned with just the perfect Cajun spice. I thought the crab serving was unusually small and mentioned it to my server. He immediately made arrangements for us to get an additional side serving at no extra cost. The crab was yummy and tender and I loved the sauce. For dessert, we shared the key lime pie. It was a huge serving, big enough to share, and excellent. The place is clean, the service is excellent, and we all enjoyed our meals. We hope to come back when we visit Phoenix again.

Yelp
Last visit was over a year ago & I got the jumbo crab legs and pasta, but I was sad to hear they haven't served crab legs since JAN. (Visited 2nd time OCT 2024) I still ended up getting some crab with the crab and spinach dip to start off which was such a flavorful and bomb choice, the bread was so soft but yet crunchy. I love dressing up whenever I come because it fits the dark vibe the restaurant gives off. We got 2 drinks, the espresso martini & garden of Eden (spicy) All of the staff were friendly & highly attentive It was pretty busy and I'm glad we had made reservations we only had to wait about 5 mins. We ordered the house salad, baked potato which had some tasty chunks of bacon. For entrees we ordered the filet mignon, & the fried shrimp & fries. Pappadeaux never disappoints! Can't wait to go back, all the food had lots of flavors.

Yelp
First Timer!! Excellent Wow this place was so much more than I thought it would be. First of all the place inside is gorgeous. It feels good, I mean walking into this restaurant it makes you feel alive it's a romantic but bright classy feel. The food was hands down outstanding as well as the service. I will definitely be back in the future.

Yelp
So happy that Pappadeaux is in the valley. I believe Pappadeaux is Texas known or at least that's where I had always seen them located, so I was happy to see one in AZ. The staff at Pappadeaux are always friendly and welcoming. They are very well knowledgeable about the menu. The food is consistently good and comes out hot. I also love the classic upscale vibe that Pappadeaux gives. This location also has a beautiful courtyard which you can take pictures in as well.

Yelp
SO SO SO SO GOOOOOOOOOD!!!!!! I'm sad because they don't serve crab cakes any more! Please bring them back served over the crawfish etoufee!?? Please! Okay anyway, we love this place. We enjoy ourselves and the food every time we've dined here. Service is always amazing! The servers are attentive. Nice! Thorough of the menu. And our cups never got empty. I promise dinner came right out after apps so you're not left fingering the appetizer plate! I love walking into the place. The water features and patio is always beautiful. Kept clean and plenty of room while you wait for your table. Inside is big, pretty and kinda fancy okay! As long as pappadeauxs continues to serve up seasoned dishes.. and great attitudes, we are going to continue to eat here.

Yelp
It was just meh. I went for a Lunch meeting on a Thursday. It was constant but not busy. Our waitress was attentive and knowledgeable. She even offered meals specific to my pescatarian diet. I really just feel like I could've made the same dish at home and better. Oh I had the catfish platter. The group ordered the crab artichoke dip and it was good. I like my food piping hot and mine was not hot at all. I didn't want to be the one in the group to cause a fuss so I let it be. The restaurant was clean. It's been in the valley for a long time and I think I've been here before but now I know why I probably won't be back.

Yelp
PLASTIC in food!! A small group of my friends and I came in last night after 9pm (they close at 10) We got seated in the back business room. Our waitress was clearly annoyed that she had to serve us late, tho there were a lot of people still dining. *Rude, hurried service - didn't complain *Ordered trout w/ shrimp, was supposed to come with carrots. Served a chunk of broccolini instead - didn't complain *Beer (Shiner) was completely flat and gross - didn't complain *Ordered a side of the green beans w/ almonds (sides are $9) The green beans had no almonds, just boiled, bland and plain - didn't complain ** But finding plastic on top of my fish? Yelp will have to know about this. Unacceptable! The plastic was coated with seasoning and blended on top of the fish. I had to rub it off and bend it to find out this was not something edible! I Do NOT recommend dining here!

Yelp
This was my first time at Pappadeaux and the food was great. We had a party of 6. We were seated right away. Our waitress Annie was very welcoming and very attentive. I had the fried seafood platter with red beans and rice. There was one mix up with one of our orders and they corrected it and gave us that meal free for the mistake. If I lived in Arizona I would definitely return. Pappadeaux please come to The east coast.

Yelp
I'm from Cali and this place was definitely on my bucket list to try. I'm a pescatarian so let's go. My husband and son actually visited a location in Texas but since I didn't travel with them I missed out. They do have plenty of parking and the parking lot was full. I kind of dreaded it because I knew there was going to be a wait. We were told that the wait would be one hour. My husband was apprehensive at first but I said oh no we're going to wait. They took our cell number and we decided to wait in our car. After about 30 minutes we received a text that our table was ready. We were so happy that the wait was not an hour. Inside was very lively and full of chatter. The music played reminded me of when I was growing up in the '80s. It's was such a total vibe. Jessie, was our server. She was extremely helpful and attentive .She had tons of recommendations. #TeamJessie We started off with the garlic bread which was a delicious appetizer. They gave large pieces of bread and it was crusty and seasoned well. I was bummed because they were out of soft shell crab but I decided to order shrimp and the catfish. It came with fries and I also ordered a side of spinach to make everything look healthy, Lol! My hubby had shrimp and fries. My husband is my designated driver and he ordered a strawberry lemonade. I am the designated drinker and I had the Peach slide card which was a martini. It was very good and had that little kick that I needed. Everything was beyond delicious and seasoned. They totally lived up to my expectations. Thank you so much and hopefully we'll see you soon.

Yelp
Food was flavorful and piping hot on arrival. We got the shrimp fondue for an appetizer. Highly recommend! We also got the Atlantic Salmon Alexander to share based on the bartenders recommendation. I failed to get a picture of it but it was amazing. I liked that the seafood wasn't deep fried so felt it was a somewhat healthier option. Busy restaurant with a Mardi Gras vibe!

Yelp
Visiting from California , I'm must say I was very impressed from the service to our server Phillip. He made sure we was very well taken care of it's hard to get good hospitality during busy dinner time and he did just that. Food was excellent ,I tried to eat everything I could. Lol Start with crab and spinach dip then the fried catfish and red beans and rice was good . Spicy but good.

Yelp
We did not order appetizers as they are way overpriced. We stuck to the blackened catfish and I opted for crawfish étouffée. Catfish was a little on the salty side, but otherwise a good meal.

Yelp
This was a memorable evening. We went there with my mom who is 98 celebrating Mother's Day, Father's Day, and our 12th Anniversary. Our server, McKenna, was amazing. We were from the same area and it was such fun conversation! She knew so much about the menu, made good recommendations and was a very sweet person. Then the food... I shared the Mississippi Catfish Opelousas with my mom and oh goodness. It was mouth-watering! Amazing dish with such flavor, the fish was cooked perfectly and the shrimp was so tasty! Thank you for a wonderful experience. We don't go out often, but next time, I will order the same dish and request McKenna. At the end of our evening, the manager came over and spoke to us, which was so sweet! Love Pappadeaux!

Yelp
Always good! Had the gumbo this visit for lunch. They even have filet powder for the gumbo. If you've never lived in Louisiana it's a seasoning for the gumbo. Can't go wrong with this place lunch or dinner.

Yelp
We had the best time celebrating a birthday here at Pappadeux. I came not sure what to expect and left very pleasantly surprised! The restaurant was packed and there were tons of families out the same day. Everything we got was amazing. Our service was great as well. Everything we tried was so good and shareable. We started with the oysters pappadeaux. They were baked with a creamy sauce. They were HUGE and 1-2 was the perfect amount. My friend and I shared the halibut piccata. The fish was firm and light. My favorite was the grilled octopus. It was perfectly charred and had a good snap. I had a side of gumbo, which was flavorful and packed with veggies/shrimp. I forgot the name of my cocktail, but it was pretty strong. Everything was so delicious and filling. I will definitely be back in the future.

Yelp
The literal BEST meal I've ever had in my whole life! Our server, Mateo, was top tier!

Yelp
Hands down, this is the ceasar and emperor of seafood restaurants! period! I started my delectable journey with Pappadeaux's in the early 90's when I used to take business trips to Houston, Dallas & Austin, texas. then in 2005, i discovered that they were in Phoenix, Az. equally as phenomenal! now, over 11 years later, i'm back in the phoenix area and of course I have to stop back here! and its just as delicious and phenomenol as ever! you must order the new salmon & shrimp and the sea bass. they are both off the chain!!! If eating those dishes were a crime! it would be a felony! the catfish is omg, so, so, so tender, meaty and dreamy! I PROMISE ALL YOU NON-SEAFOOD LOVERS THAT YOU WILL CHANGE YOUR MIND FOREVER ABOUT SEAFOOD ONCE YOU'VE DINED HERE. They Ship in Their Seafood "DAILY, DAILY, DAILY"...,. Did I Stutter? I've Had 12 Conversations with Clients or Colleagues & Friends who Absolutely Hated Fish and Other Seafood, in My Extensive Dining Experience over the Years, at PAPPADEAUX'S in 2 Atlanta Locations, Houston, Austin, Phoenix and Denver. IF YOU'RE NOT CONVINCED OR CONVERTED AT THE END OF YOUR DINING EXPERIENCE THEN YOUR DESTINED TO RECIEVE THE BEST DESSERTS IN THIS UNIVERSE!!!, Not Because Your BEYOND HELP, But If You're a Virgin/1st Timer at PAPPADEAUX'S SEAFOOD KITCHEN, the Management should, at Their Discretion, give You any Dessert on the Dessert Tray on the House! Especially, if You Were Too Lame Not to Love the Seafood! BUT I PROMISE THAT YOU WILL BE CONVERTED! YES, THAT'S THE SONG THAT I'M SINGING! (05-25-25)

Yelp
It's that time of year again to visit our favorite restaurants in Phoenix! It was our annual trip to Arizona to watch USC against the Arizona Wildcats and we made a special trip to Pappadeaux's on 9-23-23 a day before my birthday. The food is just absolutely amazing. I ordered the fried catfish and it was amazing as always. Our server at that time was Benjamin Q. and he was professional and took excellent care of us. Looking forward again to visiting this restaurant in the future.

Yelp
Pappadeaux is one of my favorite seafood spots to visit. I eat here often when I have a taste for seafood. As usual, Pappadeaux stays busy, so it's best to make reservations. This visit, my server was Alex, she was working! I really appreciated her service and her hustle and bustle as she worked her tables. I ordered the Crispy Salmon & Jumbo Crab, I believe this was my first time trying this dish. Overall, this dish was good. I will be honest and say, I thought because the dish is called Crispy Salmon, that the salmon was going to be crispy, that's really the main reason I ordered it . The salmon just seemed to be pan seared, no crispy skin, no crispy crust. Don't get me wrong the dish was still good, but for me that was the only thing missing.

Yelp
A first timer for stopping into Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen and I dined alone. My server was phenomenal and I thought I had saved her name, but did not unfortunately. I believe her name started with a B and was like Brexly. My memory recalls it being fairly unique and I wanted to ensure I had to personally shout out her exceptional service as she was so friendly! My apologies if way off on her name and hope if the management team/owner sees they can provide recognition. When seated, I was greatly fairly promptly but did have some time to review the menu to be able to ask some questions while taking my beverage order. I ordered a Coke with lime, and loved that at the time of refill she brought a dish of limes to have at the ready. Also, I was given some recommendations and mentioned what I initially had my eye on (Jumbo Sea Scallops & Shrimp Risotto). Typically I stick to meat free, but I decided to see how I would fare with seafood. Grateful she mentioned this dish was great as I love risotto! Especially when there are mushrooms. The dish was $42.95 and was totally worth it! Delicate and rich flavors with such a large portion. One of my favorite risotto dishes out in the valley. Love the whole vibe of this establishment from the outside courtyard with water feature to the decor inside. Though I've never been to the French Quarter, from all the photos and movie depictions I feel this is spot on. Definitely a location I would love to return and will recommend to those who love seafood!

Yelp
For years now, Pappadeaux has served amazing quality and tasty food. They continue to do so here. You can't go wrong ordering anything here. Service was top-notch. Outside water features with exceptional gardening on a welcoming, red-brick entrance area transports you somewhere else so that you can totally enjoy the atmosphere and awesome food inside.

Yelp
3.5/5 I've been wanting to try out Pappadeaux for a while and decided to dine here with a friend for lunch. We shared the medium sized fried alligator and I had the lunch portion of blackened catfish and shrimp etouffee. The alligator was a bit too salty for my tastes but perfectly fried and presented to us quickly after ordering. The sauce, while good, was a bit too overpowering and it masked the actual taste of the alligator when dipped. The thin crispy potato strings included in the appetizer were tasty. The lunch portion of my entree was huge! There was definitely enough to share if you have a lighter appetite. The shrimp etouffee was way too salty for me but I did enjoy the catfish which had just the right amount of seasoning and was perfectly cooked. The dirty rice included in the meal was also salty for me but a plentiful amount. Service was friendly and on point from Kat. I was surprised to see that there wasn't any jambalaya on the menu. It's one of my favorite dishes so that was a little disappointing but they do have most of the iconic Louisiana style dishes such as gumbo, boudin, and the aforementioned etouffee. The other negative is the really high price point. My total for lunch was $50+ with one appetizer and one lunch entree. Details: - Seafood is flown in fresh daily - Online ordering available - Kids menu offered

Yelp
Stopped by for dinner and had a lovely service. I like that I can watch the oysters get shucked right at the bar. Only downside I would say is they were out of a lot of the drinks on the menu. The steak Oscar was prepared well and had great flavor. Overall I'd highly recommended especially if you like seafood!

Yelp
Excellent and friendly service Relatively quiet when we began our meal (around 5:00pm on a Tuesday) but definitely bustling and noticeably louder when we were finished (around 7:30pm) Texas redfish was delicious Pappardelle with seafood was delicious The only downside is the price, which is quite high.

Yelp
The service was not the best but the food was just okay. I don't know if we came at a bad time but it could have been better. The service was slow which was surprising because there was not many people there. I got the "Purple Voodoo" cocktail was very tasty and refreshing with hints of coconut lime juice, a very sweet cocktail I would say. I loved the roasted oysters and I was underwhelmed by the seafood + andouille sausage gumbo. Again, maybe it was a bad night I will try again another day most likely.

Yelp
I like the exterior of the restaurant and the decor. The staff is really nice and the alcoholic beverages are super yummy! The gumbo and Cajun pasta had a nice kick to them and were super flavorful.
