Pappi Chulo

I stayed at Paapi Chulo Backpacker Hostel during my recent trip to Goa and it turned out to be a really memorable experience. As someone who usually travels solo, I always look for places that have a friendly and social atmosphere, and this hostel was exactly that. From the moment I checked in, the vibe of the place felt very welcoming. The staff were very warm and helpful, and they made the whole check-in process smooth. The hostel has a very lively and vibrant environment where it’s easy to meet fellow travelers from different parts of the country and even from abroad. I ended up having some really nice conversations and made a few new friends during my stay. The dorms and common areas were well maintained and clean, and the beds were comfortable enough to relax after a long day of exploring Goa. The common spaces are perfect if you want to just sit, chill, and interact with other travelers. There’s always something happening around which keeps the place energetic and fun. Another thing I liked was the location. It’s quite convenient and close to many popular spots, cafes, and beaches, which makes it easy to explore the area without much hassle. Overall, my stay at Paapi Chulo Backpacker Hostel was a really good experience. It’s a great place especially for solo travelers who enjoy meeting new people and experiencing the backpacker culture. I would definitely consider staying here again on my next trip to Goa.

What an absolute gem of an experience. The bed was impeccably clean, the washroom spotless, and the surroundings just vibe perfectly. Hit up the crisp little bar grab the soju (that smooth rice wine) or the Cabo mixed with pineapple juice; both hit different in the best way. I came for a quick stay but ended up extending because the whole atmosphere had me hooked. If you're plotting a solo trip and it's your first go, book this spot for the weekend. You'll be thanking the stars (and this review) for the discovery.

Had an amazing time at Pappi Chulo! The vibe here makes it so easy to strike up conversations and connect with new people — every interaction felt natural, fun, and welcoming. The staff adds so much to the overall experience too. A special shoutout to Sandy for the fantastic drink recommendations — he truly knows his craft. And big thanks to Vishnu, Hanuman, and Bilal for the great conversations and for making the evening feel even more lively. Definitely a place where good energy and good people come together!

Amazing place, amazing vibe and amazing visions! The graffiti is trippy and the music trippier. In my 3 days of staying I had exactly what I came for; me time with just the right time of socializing. Bilal and his way with mixing drinks is astounding. If you're in vagator and don't stay at Pappi Chulo, my friends you're missing out on a lot of good memories 🌀👁️👽

My first ever hostel stay and I must say it was too good an experience. For the price charged the place is very well done up & maintained. Rooms are cleaned, washrooms deep cleaned everyday. The location is super centrally placed, walkable from the best places on vagator beach. They have a cute bar to chill at, some outdoor games and a lot of sit out space. The management is great company to be around, more like friends that you can end up chilling with. I walked out with some real good friends at the end of my stay and hope you all will too. Cheers.

A amazing stay for the good vibes, great ambience and some kick ass Graffiti. Must visit by the beach, met some kool people. But seriously this is the craziest party hostel in Goaaa, no cap. They play such amazing music, techno usually but yess hip hop vibes everywhere! Not just a party hostel, but a really welcoming atmosphere that grows in you, you become part of the people who run this amazing hostel. Specially KARAN 😎 Pappi Chulo has history and being part of that feels like being part of your own vibe circle and dare you once you come here, you can’t leave, it won’t let you go!

The only real reason to stay here is if you’re a group of girl friends who want to party late at places like Noah, Hammerz, or Raeeth without having to drunk drive back and forth to your stay because they’re all in walking distance. The beds are fine but no individual safe space to keep your belongings. There was no hot water to shower even during the day. Don’t expect a typical hostel experience beyond passcodes to enter the dorms. There are mostly solo travellers, though they’re social enough — so in that sense, it’s a good place to make new friends and explore together, I guess. Was not a bad first time experience but wouldn’t go again.

The vibe here is unreal. People from all over the country land up, and it’s ridiculously easy to socialise. You don’t just “meet” people, you actually make friends. I’ve been coming here every year and some of the people I met on earlier trips are still in touch with me. Location is a big win. It’s super close to party spots like Raeth, Jungle Origins, and the iconic Hilltop. So you’re never too far from the action. The food deserves a mention too. Don’t leave without trying their ros omelette. Trust me on this. The staff is warm and welcoming. At this point, they know us by name and face, which says a lot about how they treat repeat guests. Dorms and bathrooms are super clean, and the AC actually works properly, which matters more than people admit. If you want peak energy, go on a weekend. That’s when the place really comes alive. Music, dancing, good conversations, and that Goa freedom vibe. I don’t just stay here. I return here. Every year. That should tell you enough.
