PaPPo's Pizzeria & Pub Downtown Springfield

Our hostess/waitress was wonderful. The pizzas we tried were shrimp scampi and the steakhouse. They were different but really good. We also had the honey ricotta and bruschetta appetizers and they were delicious!

The place was great! Sweet atmosphere lots going on plenty to look at! Food was delicious!

Two words: flavorful and friendly. Visited for dinner with my mom on a road trip out west and was not disappointed! We sat at the bar and Caleb was our bartender. He had great beer recommendations and gave great service. The food was delicious. They make their own dressings and sauces from what he told us. The pepperoni pizza and the buffalo chicken pizza was also amazing! The celery added an extra crunch to it which I liked. Don't forget to order some of their brown butter cookies as well :)

Food: I got the “pappo’s famous 5 cheese” pizza. Excellent crust and soft dough. Waitress was hospitable and offered Parmesan and red chili flake shakers as additional toppings before she left. 3/5 stars because quality and quantity didn’t match the price — the pizza was a bit too cheesy with a redundant taste. In addition, the wait was long and the waitress wasn’t at her station upon arriving.

Absolutely love this place. Decided this is my go to pizza place some months back. Isaac was my server and it was because of him that made this place even better. Friendly, knowledgeable, and just a great worker. Unfortunately, I was informed that he’d been fired from this location. And from what I was told, it was all because of a mistake he accidentally made. Alas, although this is an awesome place, it was Isaac that brought this place to life. Wish he was there again.

From out of town and ordered pickup. Was given a 15 minute time and it was ready as promised. We got a Canadian bacon, pineapple( no discussion on pineapple here) and jalapeño hand tossed. Very delicious. Highlights for me was the crust and sauce.

Pizza is good. But the service is terrible. Me and my family sat with our menus folded for over15 minutes. No drink order, no regular order, not even a hello and some silverware. It wasn’t real busy no wait. 2 servers bussed other tables around us while we waited. A new table came in and was greeted by their server immediately. We saw the drink order for the other table show up, and we had yet to even be greeted. So we walked out. Too bad because I am a good tipper and we were gonna get 2 pizzas, a calzone, cheesy bread, and a salad plus drinks . Downtown Pappos has always had bad service compared to other restaurants in the area, but after no service I doubt we will go back. If you do want Pappos, do yourself a favor and get it to go

They seemed overwhelmed . The bartender was doing all she could and I think she was very polite but just couldn’t keep up. She was doing door dash, bartending and waiting tables. I ordered wings for an app and a small pizza . The wings and pizza came out at the same time and the wings were literally cold . There was minimal sauce on them and underwhelming. The pizza was ok, the crust had a decent crisp to it but had a big flop . The flavor was ok but it was a pizza that is forgettable. I think the place got potential and I may try again if they have more staff on.
