Pappys BBQ

Very nice restaurant. We had two different burgers which were so good. Lot of French fries included Many TV on sports channels We will come back because the food is really good in a nice restaurant

We ended up at Pappy’s BBQ as Americans who honestly had no intention of eating BBQ in Antigua, but everywhere else was packed and this looked like a good spot. We were pleasantly surprised. Sammy, our server, was incredibly attentive, had terrific English, and really took care of us. We ordered the 3-meat platter, the smoked chicken, and the brisket burger, and everything was excellent. The chicken was super juicy, the ribs were true fall-off-the-bone, and the sides like the green beans and slaw were delicious. The local draft beers were great too, and the relaxed country-music vibe made it even better. For the quality and amount of food, the value for money was honestly outstanding. Highly recommend.

A Texan Review : we went to Antigua for a church conference and were totally flabbergasted to find Texas BBQ in Guate. We own a Texas BBQ joint so we were really skeptical. Ok. So we were REALLY skeptical. Imagine the smiles when we found out the brisket could compete with any top joint in Texas. The sauces were spectacular and the sides were really good. This place is legit. If you’re in Antigua and are missing home, head here. The staff was fantastic and friendly, and they do Texas proud. It’s not served exactly the way you’re used to seeing it in Texas, but the fat is rendered, the flavor is great, the point and flat are tender and well cared for. Come here. You won’t regret it!

I really didn’t expect much, but goodness - this BBQ is good. The pork ribs are tender, fall off the bone. My partner tried all 6 of the other bbq options and loved it. Corn, green beans, French fries, everything was tasty. Staff are so friendly. We’ve already been back 2 times.

The food was awesome, the portions were very generous. The food was fresh and it felt homemade. The waiter's were really attentive they were checking on you regularly. PSA is your an introvert and don't like much noise it gets pretty noisy here but in a good way. If you love a nice country ambient this is the place for you. And their beer variety I can't count it with both hands 🍺

Absolute must here in Antigua! Awesome atmosphere and interior. The food was great and beer tasty. Our waiter was super friendly and we got our food quickly. We definitely come back and gonna get one of the big BBQ platters!

These were by FAR the best ribs I’ve had outside the USA — and honestly, maybe the best I’ve had anywhere. They were literally fall-off-the-bone tender, and the honey BBQ glaze was amazing. My son ordered the ribs too and loved them, while my other two had burgers that they said were really good. The only small drawback was the temperature inside the restaurant. I went at the hottest part of the day, and a few more fans or some air conditioning during peak heat would have made it more comfortable. That said, it wasn’t nearly enough to take away a star — the food more than made up for it. I really hope this is one of those places that consistently puts out great food, because I definitely plan on bringing friends here in a few weeks.
