Parachute Ice Cream - Oak Bay

The ice cream is delicious. My daughter gave it 11/5 stars. It is some of the best ice cream I’ve had. Between four people we had 6 flavours. All of them were excellent. It’s hard to tell the size difference between the split single ($6.50) and a Double ($8.00). That’s a double in the picture.

This new location is PRIMO! I enjoyed a walk by the ocean after grabbing a single scoop of lemon cream. The waffle cone was still warm 🤤 The most friendly staff and best ice cream in town!

I think it's the best ice cream in North America. So creamy, rich flavors, made from scratch chunks of baked goods. And they make their waffle cones in front of you! I am beyond delighted that they opened a location at Windsor Park. The line out their door shows how excited the neighborhood is to welcome them.

I would give this place ten stars if I could! The ice cream is amazing! I’ve tried four flavours now (maple walnut, mocha, lemon cream and vanilla bean) and they were all incredible. If I were forced to choose, I would have to say that lemon cream is my very favourite but I really don’t think you can go wrong with any flavour here (and they are quick to offer samples if you’re unsure). The cones are so good too. Every time I’ve been, the staff have been super friendly even when the place is super busy. The prices are very reasonable, portions are very generous and the location is great right across from the park. Seriously, go get some ice cream!

Delicious! Scoop sizes are more then enough. Love the split single. Two flavors in a manageable size. Excellent location too...enjoy your ice cream in the park across the street or go for a walk along the ocean.

Solid ice cream, nothing too extraordinary but kudos for the cleanliness and variety of vegan options. The missing 2 stars are for the weird cashier who stared dead in our eyes while completely ignoring that we were waiting to pay and moved on to the group of 5 that was behind us in the line. Mind you, it was just the two of us and were there before the group of 5. After they were done paying for their order, she still did not help us pay. Me and my friend just stood there confused if we won free ice creams that nobody told us about? The cashier then went to the back and did not come for a while. My friend then finally asked someone else to help us pay, she apologized and helped us right away. We went there last Saturday (July 12th around 8:30pm and the girl in question was wearing a stripe top), but I’m only writing this review now because my friend brought this weird encounter up again and I have no plans this Friday evening so I have the time. If she reads this, I hope it was just a simple misunderstanding and not the fact that they have different service levels for different ethnic backgrounds.
