I am writing this review a few years after visiting Paradise Cove luau. Arriving was easy to check in, staff were friendly. There was lots of activities to check out, staff were great. The different performances were all amazing. The food was great. There was a little shop to buy souvenirs. My husband and I really enjoyed this evening. We didn't stay in a room, we were only here for the Luau.

Google
Loved every single minute. Many activities to do when you get to paradise cove. The food was amazing, along with the drinks. The dancers and musicians were amazing! Although I must say one of my favorite parts was riding on Bus #1 with Cousin T as our MC. Cousin T was amazing and kept the laughs and party going before and after the luau!

Google
Amazing experience! Even though there were quite a few people in attendance it never felt overly crowded. There was always something fun to do. Our entire group had an amazing time! I highly recommend this luau!

Google
I thoroughly enjoyed the Paradise Cove Luau — it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. The stunning oceanfront setting created a breathtaking backdrop, and every detail, from the vibrant cultural performances to the delicious traditional Hawaiian feast, was beautifully executed. The warm hospitality and immersive atmosphere made it not just a show, but a genuine celebration of Hawaiian heritage. Paradise Cove truly captured the spirit and beauty of the islands, making it a highlight of my trip.

Google
We got the middle option for the luau which included 2 free drinks and middle section sitting. We got there at 445pm to play Hawaiian games, enjoy the view, and get our photo taken ($25 for 1 picture). We had food from the buffet that was okay, nothing to write home about. We enjoyed the dancing and then it ended around 9pm.

Google
We had a good time and the food was good. Location is nice and parking is easy. The Luau show was good and they had some nice activities before dinner. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was that we all felt it was too long and they didn’t have high chairs despite many young children and toddlers being there. Our total time there was about 4.5 hours (ended a little after 9pm).

Google
15 years later this place is still the best. Great fun for all ages. Wonderfull show and excellent food. Drink menu has grown and everything was great. My kids loved the activities and the fire show and hula dancing was the best ever. When you think it's done they do more.

Google
I’ve done business with Nigerian royalty and this is the biggest scam I’ve been apart of. For the price this experience is laughable. Food is bland rice, chicken, pulled pork, fish and macaroni salad. The show was decent if you don’t mind sitting and eating shoulder to shoulder next to other people in cheap plastic lawn chairs. Beautiful location but you can visit the beach here for free and there’s free luaus on Waikīkī beach. For $150-$200 per person I was laughing at how bad this is.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing experience! Definitely a must do luau as it is much better than some others offered closer to Waikiki. Instructions for pick up were clear and our bus was very prompt. Our bus guide was Cousin T and she was awesome! Explained everything clearly and made each of us feel special and welcome. She told jokes and got us all excited for what was in store. Once we arrived, it was fun to walk around and take pictures. There were other activities too like spear throwing and Polynesian tattoos, which was fun. The bar also provided delicious cocktails. The food was also good. The pork and mac salad were delicious! Overall, the show was great. It moved at a good pace and we were never left bored as an audience. I loved seeing different performances based on the different Polynesian islands. It was truly beautiful. Sexy bus number 1! I highly recommend Paradise Cove if you are looking for a luau during your stay in Oahu!

Yelp
This luau came highly recommended, but we were disappointed. The pork was good, but that and the pineapple were the only things that stood out. The rolls were also good I guess. The rest of the food was bland and the desserts were terrible. The entertainment was OK, it got good at the end with the fire dancers and the closing dances. But the early entertainment was pretty boring. They also overpack the seating area, making it difficult to see if there is a tall or wise person in front of you. A more elevated stage would help.

Yelp
I thought this was a really good luau and value for your money. It was a super organized and fun filled night -They had a lot of different activities to do: jewelry stores, so many beautiful scenic sunset photo opportunities, taking pictures with the birds, henna art, spear throwing, and hula performance. -the dinner was surprisingly really good and we enjoyed the meal. While you're eating dinner, they put on a really good show of dancing and performances.

Yelp
This is just one of the things you never go to when you're from here but is fun to do and experience when visitors come into town to give them the full tourist experience. Parking was easy, drinks upon arrival, and cute little information sessions/games to play before dinner. The musicians were wonderful and boy, do the dancers really have to play multiple roles throughout the night. Kudos to them. The food was very approachable hawaiian food, so nothing really crazy so that those experiencing hawaiian food for the first time would be okay. Not many people took poi, but I sure got in my fill! We went on a friday night and it was maybe 60% full, but I feel bad for the performers as the crowd was quite dull. They deserved much more applause than they got.

Yelp
The 3rd time I went to paradise cove and this time with my husband and 3 boys. I love Hawaii and we have been married for 16 years and my husband surprised us with the visit. We both have been to Hawaii, but not with each other and now we're back and I was happy to have my kids and husband go to Paradise Cove with me. I love it because it's very authentic. The people are very welcoming the hula dancers and the fire dancers as well my children were amazed, and it gave us that Hawaiian vibe. Also, we loved our bus driver Cousin T. She was pretty amazing. I told her we would give her a good review thanks again paradise Cove for making our Hawaii vacation a blast will be back again. I'm so glad you are still open after all these years. The last time I went to paradise Cove was 1998 and then 2004 and it still as wonderful as ever! Mahalo

Yelp
From start to finish, we had an amazing time! We got the Orchid Package (middle tier) and were greeting with an orchid lei and a mai tai. The Mai Tai was delicious! We then followed one of the team members to show us where to sit, once we were shown our seats, we headed towards the "tattoo" stations and games. We didn't get a chance to create a lei, but that's pretty much the only thing we weren't able to do. We saw the "flower shower" and the special ceremony before dinner. Before getting our dinner, we were able to take pictures by the sunset. I think the pictures don't do it justice! The area is so beautiful and well taken care of. Since we knew where to sit, we headed to the buffet! Food was great for an event like this. We had Kalua Pork, BBQ Chicken, and Beer Battered Fish. They also had sides like bread, Mac salad, rice, poi, and green salad. I also liked that people are able to get seconds. F you still have room after dinner, they also have chocolate cake, haupia, and fruit. During dinner they start a "preshow" where you see the talented ladies do some dancing. Once everyone has eaten, they turn off the lights and start the show. You see dances from Tahiti, Samoa, and more! It was so entertaining that even my one year old stayed still and watched. My recommendation, arrive before they open their doors so you can get the best seat possible, if you want to creat a lei, make that your first stop, and tip the team!

Yelp
Booked as a solo traveler and had a great time! Did the basic package with pickup and drop off included. Got on the bus and met the host who went over the plan. Luau was wonderful; performers, things to do, good food, and people

Yelp
Best experience I've had on Oahu by far!! I've been to the islands many times, but not once have I gone to a luau. I came to this luau with my family to celebrate my sister's birthday and it's safe to say we all had the BEST time. There were so many activities to do and events to see. The dance performances were fantastic!! I absolutely loved seeing each and every performer dance and sing. My sister and I even got taken up on stage to dance with the performers. Everyone we came across was so welcoming and kind as well. I would say the food is good, but definitely not the highlight of this event. All of that credit goes to the workers and performers. I would absolutely come again.

Yelp
Saturday, August 24, 2024 (RIP / HBD, Our Beloved Grandson Logan): Thanks to Tickets & Tours at Joint Base Hickam Pearl Harbor I was able to get Orchid seating in advance via email (Military discount of $123 each). We had a total of 13 vouchers for family with 4 more family members joining us there. There's a lot of parking and the staff is very friendly. Check in time was 4:45 pm. We were all given "credit cards" with $16 loaded on it to use toward any purchases. The grounds are clean and wide open. We were directed to our reserved table, which was located in the middle with a perfect view of the stage. There is shopping, tattooing, photos with the parrots, etc. Events for the entire family to enjoy! There is a nice beach on the property. Our family spread rose petals in honor of our 17 year old grandson, Logan, who passed away last year from Fentanyl poisoning. We all wore his shirts in his memory. It was a most spectacular sunset & we know he was there in spirit. Just before that a most wondrous rainbow appeared across the Hawaiian skies and we felt that Logan was sending us a sign that he knew his ohana was all together there for him on his birthday. We miss him so much! They opened the buffet in an orderly fashion and we all enjoyed the food; some got seconds. It was very tasty. We enjoyed the show. My battery died so I couldn't take more photos. Honestly, the most impressive were the two fire dancers! High energy and precision were the earmarks of their amazing performances. Neither one dropped a torch! The entire show was highly entertaining! As some had reservations about the dancers & musicians walking off from a previous show there was no sign of any squabbles. The show went on successfully without a hitch. We had an enjoyable experience and would recommend!

Yelp
The luau was amazing and the experiences were great. Only complaint was paying over $550 to have my back to the luau. Would do again but not pay extra for deluxe seats if I knew our backs would be to the stage.

Yelp
Absolutely loved this experience! The people were so stinking nice here. The view was absolutely spectacular! Once the food came out I was super hungry and it all tasted phenomenal. The pork was the best part of it all. The dancers were incredible and so talented. I can't wait to come back!

Yelp
Cost for basic package: $150 There's a lot to do once they let you inside, most of the activities are complimentary with a choice of tip. There was a woman who made leis around your wrist, so I got one of those since the basic package doesn't give you a lei around your neck. The basic package give you shells around your neck. I also ended up getting a temporary tattoo which was cool, there was also a free kayak ride. There were a bunch of other activities but once the show began I was mesmerized by the women and men, they looked absolutely gorgeous in their outfits. The dance was beautiful and the fire dancers were amazing.

Yelp
The experience was amazing . If you're in Hawaii this is a place to visit . There are many luau around the island. The staff were so amazing and helpful. We got the top package and was walked to our table and had our doodle and drinks brought to us. The place sits surrounding water with beautiful views. The food was good and we got to see the pig get brought out from under after cooking . The show was amazing , of course my Fabian was the fire part of the show. I definitely recommend!

Yelp
The show was absolutely amazing! We all loved it. We purchased the pictures and were so glad we did since they came out beautiful. The food was not liked by anyone in our group. We paid extra for the Royal Seating and our food was cold and not tasty. Our seats were perfect with the stroller since we had plenty of room. Our server was attentive and friendly.

Yelp
This is our first ever Luau and I have to say it was a really amazing experience. I looked into different Luaus while we were in Hawaii and decided to go with Paradise Cove for our first Luau. We went with the Hawaiian Luau Package. On the day of event, we came a little late due to a bit of heavy traffic. We didn't miss much, and there were still plenty of parking! Once we arrived they guided us on where to go. We were provided with complimentary mai tais and then our leis. We were then taken to our seats so that we know where to go once dinner was ready. Hubby and I walked around and enjoyed the scenery and then went to explore and do some activities. It's such a beautiful place and the food honestly was really delicious! We both really enjoyed it and loved the music and entertainment during out time there. Will definitely keep Paradise Cove in mind, but wouldn't mind trying other Luaus for future visits.

Yelp
We had an incredible time !! 10/10 recommend!! Some of the nicest people I have ever met and they were incredibly wonderful to my son !!! Mahalo

Yelp
A luau is one of the must try activities in Hawaii but I feel like there has to be a better one than this. The location was great and picturesque and the show was pretty fun, but the price is way too high and the scheduling felt like it was completely messed up. My main problem is that there were a bunch of different activities, such as the bracelet or necklace making, taking a photo with parrots, and Polynesian tattoos, but there was no time at all to do them. There's also 3 major events: a hula dance lesson, a man climbing a tree, and taking the kalua pig out of the ground, but if you're preoccupied with a different station, then you just completely miss the event. I got there, took a photo with the parrots, made a necklace, and by that time missed the first 2 events. I feel like if I'm paying $240 (deluxe price), I should have time to actually do the things I paid for. The drinks were good here but not strong enough to mask my disappointment. The food was not that great. I thought the chicken and fish were alright, but the actual kalua pork, the centerpiece of a luau, was quite dry. I was also hoping for something more uniquely Hawaiian instead of things like just fried or bbq chicken.

Yelp
So for starters, I have attended multiple luau's on Oahu and frankly, this is not worth the money. There is a laundry list of things about this luau that makes it so commercialized that it's not even fun to attend. They are just strictly capitalizing on tourist ignorance. The only good thing about this place is some of the pictures of the west side of the island that you can get. So onto the luau itself, there are numerous events/games you can do prior to the actual show starting, which is OK but again geared towards pushing sales. Like the nonstop, pushing of the gift shop or bar. The little games or the photo area with the birds are all a little too much. However, with that all being said, I understand why they do it now because the show itself was a joke. By no means do I blame the performers which were good, but I do blame the directors of the show. For the life of me, I have no clue why these guys have been so highly rated. The only thing I could think of is that unfortunately other tourists have not been able to experience a different luau. The food was OK as you can tell it was all prepped. It literally felt like I was just watching a one-man show, especially having the "mc" singing every couple minutes obviously trying to be the star of the show. In good conscience, I cannot recommend these guys or this show until something changes. However, we both know that it won't because why give a good show when you could push sales to tourist that have no better understanding. Without naming names there's another luau literally 10 minutes down the road, smaller, and 100 times better of a show.
google avatar

Marija P.

Yelp
Booked the experience through Tripster little cheaper. It was fun, ambiance and venue was great, I felt like there were too many activities to do, and long lines to get to each one. Food was alright nothing special, the best was the last show that they left for the end. Overall ok, but wouldn't go to do it again.
google avatar

Sanea F.

Yelp
We ended up coming here for my mom's birthday and we truly enjoyed ourselves. The different activities they had were cool. The staff were nice. Even with a few mishaps that happened on the show, the saying that the show must go on was true! They dancers were great and lively! The food was pretty good as well! The desserts were alright!
google avatar

Amanda W.

Yelp
We arrived early to Paradise Cove Luau to guarantee the best seats possible. The space was beautiful, and they had plenty of activities to enjoy before the main show--I highly recommend the canoe ride. The food was just okay. I've been to many luaus in the past and this would be on the lowest end in terms of food and drink. The chicken and pork were a highlight, while the "beer battered fish" tasted like egg and was close to inedible. The show itself was disjointed and had too many breaks. The dancers were very talented, but it felt like they were off stage as much as they were on stage. This might be a good choice for a first luau, but I wouldnt recommend it if you've been to others before.
google avatar

Stephanie S.

Yelp
Nice luau. There was definitely some downtime between getting there and the show. There were some games and photo ops. The food was decent and the entertainment wasn't too long.

Amy L.

Yelp
I highly recommend this luau. My 18 year old son and I were very impressed with the organization, talent, and variety of activities and performances that were offered. Our tour guide on our bus was "Cousin Lui (Louis)?". She was so amazing, made everyone comfortable and worked so hard to ensure everyone was having a nice time. I am surprised of those reviews that complained about the food. This is an outdoor "picnic style" dinner where the main dish was barbequed in the ground. That may not appeal to everyone, but there was food for everyone. What stood out to me is how hard everyone worked to ensure that their guests (ohana) had a wonderful time. Well done. Highly recommend. Don't miss it. p.s. We didn't purchase the "best seating". You can see/hear from anywhere and meet alot of nice people.
google avatar

Yelp
When in Hawaii, you do the tourist thing and this luau was one of them. Since I was gifted this event, i don't wanna put a damper on it. The place is nice and the ocean views are fantastic. The luau itself was mediocre. The food was just okay, nothing too fancy. The show was an additional bonus and the hula and fire dancers were good. I was expecting a more traditional type of luau and this wasn't it. But I still had a good time.

Mark J.

Yelp
DO NOT waste your time and money here. I'm convinced that the 5 star reviews are posted by Paradise Cove themselves or people who live under a rock the other 364 days a year. This place was a complete sham from start to finish. We paid $900 for a family of 4 so I'm not sure where the $150/ PP comes from. I think we got the "Deluxe" package. This package included gift cards which covered 4 adult drinks, better seating, and table service. Super cheap plastic chairs and crammed tables. It was immediately clear to me that this place is past its prime and a cash grab. Overly commercial and people pushing you to spend money. The food was disgusting and entertainment was mediocre at best. Drinks were awful and weak. Everything was pre-mixed out of a soda gun. The only redeeming fact was you do get a beautiful lei when you arrive. We attended the Aulani luau 2 nights earlier for the same price and it was one of the highlights of our trip to Hawaii. Night and day difference.

Yelp
If you would have asked me a year ago, I would have given this place a solid 4 out of 5. However, after visiting for a second time, this score is way lower. We went on a Monday and from the moment we walked in to have our picture taken, the energy of some of the staff was so low, like they didn't want to be there. We got the most expensive package, for 6 people. Our server was great and attentive, but the dancers that night were bad. Like, only one of the guys knew what he was doing, the other ones look like children and were lost in a lot of the performances. Later, we found out from a local than this place had been bought out and under new management. They also got rid of a lot of the dancers. Not sure what exactly happened but the quality has gone DOWN. You can see it even in the simple things like our group picture. I'll share later but 2023 the picture is nicely cropped with a nice logo, 2024 1/4 of the picture is of an ugly wall and they got rid of the logo? Don't go here! Go to luaus owned by locals. I was recommended MAUKA WARRIORS, started by locals and ran by them too. Sorry Paradise Cove, I never plan on returning and have already advised my family of the new place we should be supporting.
google avatar

Andrea T.

Yelp
Beautiful grounds, plenty of activities for the family and a wonderful show. We got the deluxe package and it was well worth the price paid. Front row seats and table service. They had a nice variety of salads, main dishes and deserts. Will definitely be going again.

Yelp
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Paradise Cove Luau. We drove ourselves there in our own rental car and arrived about 5:15 but it was no problem that we started a little late. We did the lei making, Polynesia tattoo and we got to see a monk seal swim up to the beach as we were waiting in the tattoo line. We got sunset photos with the fire dancers (took our own photos but you can buy the professional ones if you want). The buffet (all you could eat) was delicious with plentiful options. The show was fabulous-the dancers did an outstanding job and there were audience participation sections that were great. The highlight of the show was the fire dancers and they were incredible. We purchased the mid-range tickets and sat directly down the middle from the front of the stage but even the less expensive seats on the sides would have been worth every cent. I highly recommend this luau if you are looking for quality.

Pretty Girl I.

Yelp
I don't recommend coming. The food and the customer service is very bad. I wish I read the negative reviews first because they all say the same thing. Everything is a cash grab (taking pictures with parrots, the gift shop, ETC.) but the most egregious part is killing the pig and NOT seasoning it. The food is not great at all. And there are not many options for pescatarians or vegetarians. I highly recommend going to a fine dining restaurant if you have the cash to spend $150 per person on dinner. Think of this as more of an assortment of shows with a free sub par meal than a good meal with entertainment. Perhaps then you won't be disappointed like we were

Yelp
Decided to take some family to this luau who were visiting, one who had never been to a proper luau before. The entire event was very well organized, some parts of it are extra cheesy but an all around enjoayabe time. Fire dancing was AMAZING! The food was 4/5, buffet style with lots of options. The staff were very helpful. It goes a little long, if you have small kids they might not make it to the fire dancing. And of course, I always love being greeted first thing with a mai tai!

Monique V.

Yelp
Wow!! This is an amazing luau! I've been to multiple luau's in Oahu and this one is by far the best! The location is stunning and the pre activities are perfect for families. My kids loved the parrot photos and tattoos. The food was really good and fresh and the show was spectacular! My daughter got to go on stage and hula and loved every minute of it. The gift shop had lots of cute stuff as well and having the cards that were included helped us get lots of cute souvenirs. The price tag is a little higher than some of the others but it's well worth every penny and my whole family agreed!
google avatar

Phil H.

Yelp
I got the Orchid Luau Seating which included middle seating, complimentary mai tai, fresh lei, gift card, hawaiin revue, and imu ceremony ($175). I was warned by local friends that the management had fired performers which led to walk offs of many of the best performers, but I had surpassed the cancellation period and went anyways. The luau was disappointing. After check in, you are encouraged to engage in some of the activities which included Polynesian tattooing (face paint), spear throwing, parrot photoshoots ($25/photo), flower collecting, canoeing, hula and shopping. You are greeted with one drink, although their mai tais were syrupy with very little booze. The food here was my biggest qualm. The food is buffet style with choices including salad, macaroni salad, fish, kalua pig, and lomi lomi salmon. Immediately after having my first few bites I began experiencing stomach cramps and nausea (which I determined not to be booze induced due to the fact that I did not buy any of the booze during to the high prices). I stuck out the performance because I had already paid a vital organ for the ticket and enjoyed the live music and dance, however the fire dancers were dangerously sloppy and dropped their torches at least three times on stage. This might have been due to the recent quitting of talent due to mismanagement. Additionally, there was a large group of young children a couple tables over who were disruptive towards the performance. Although excited children are encouraged, these children were disrespectful to the performance, and I alongside other guests were growing weary of the tantrums . I would recommend if your children are unable to sit through 1-2 hours of performance that you refrain from bringing them. All and all the views were beautiful but definitely not worth the money. I would recommend an upscale dinner or another luau instead.
google avatar

Yelp
10/10 must do! It's worth every penny! Make sure you plan accordingly for the time. I missed a lot of events I paid for due to not realizing I needed to be there earlier. Plenty of party is available. The earlier you get there the better the parking. Upon arrival we were greeted with Lei's, our picture taken and given a tour as we were taken to our seats. Our server was amazing. I purchased the deluxe stage luau. It included our food and drinks brought to us at the table. You can just tell your server what you would like throughout the show and he/she will bring it. The food and drinks were great! The drinks are strong which made it greater. I loved the show and the amazing performers! To put the icy on my night I was even called up on stage. To perform a dance with the dancer. There is a gift shop available as well for you to purchase souvenirs. I will be returning to do a full package next time. Best Luau on the Island! Go deluxe it's worth every penny!

Yelp
I loved all the places I visited in Hawaii except the Paradise Cove Luau. The only reason I have a two-star rating for this place is for Dee at the front gate. She is excellent. Besides that, the entire experience at Paradise Cove Luau is one of the worst on this trip. The show is boring. The buffer food is one of the worst I have eaten in my life. How can they charge so much money and have the food so bad? I don't think I want to see another Luau in Hawaii anymore after this bad experience!
google avatar

Jack L.

Yelp
One of those bucket list items for anyone's first time in Hawaii is undoubtedly: experience a luau. But with so many options, it really is hard to say which is best as few people have been to multiple luaus to compare, but I've gotta say this was a pretty great experience, albeit at a higher price than some other options. Make sure you crosscheck prices between their website, your travel tools, and possibly even your credit card resources. One major note, if you MUST have a flower lei for the experience, you'll need to book one of the better packages to get it. AND you can use the "drink credit" they give you at the merch store OR pay for your professional photos at the end of the night (you have to get them taken earlier in the day before dinner/show). We spent our credit at the merch store on some trinkets and regret not saving it to pay for the photos. This luau is a little further away but they have some shuttling options. We opted to drive ourselves since we would have a vehicle that day and it was a bit of a drive from Waikiki but not too bad. Arrive early so you can enjoy some of the festivities, music, and the beautiful ocean view. Specifically, the luau is shoreside facing west so you get a beautiful sunset as the sun dips into the ocean horizon. The grounds are large and they have a bunch of little things set up for people of all ages and is very family friendly. They also have a kayak where someone rows you out a little to enjoy the sunset! Food is buffet style with several entree options like pulled pork, bbq chicken, steamed fish, and plenty of sides to go with them. Decent food considering the volume they're making. Lastly, the show is really great as because they're very far from major sources of light pollution it gets quite dark and the lighting effects and fire dance are extra prominent.

Yelp
Paradise cove luau is one of the best family oriented luaus IMO. I love how welcoming and catering they are to families. I've been coming here since a kid and now as a parent I get to show my children what it's like! My daughters are pretty picky with their food but loved the options and love each dished they offered! Drinks are awesome along. They do offers family photos with a nice background! Take you own on your phone but don't forget to take the professional option as a great memory for the entire family! The show is great but the samoan chief fire dance takes everyone's attention! We got the general admission tickets is what we got and definitely more than satisfied. If you want or have the extra money to spend go for the deluxe option at least once! Overall this location is a must at least one time while in oahu

Yelp
The entire space is gorgeous. You get a clear view of the Hawaiian sky against the blue water bordered by the greenery in Paradise Cove. It's such a beautiful panorama to behold as you eat native food while taking in their culture. The food is alright. They take each table to the buffet area (and you can return as many times as you'd like). There is so much of everything but my favorites were the kahlua pork and the macaroni salad. The alcoholic drinks were delicious too - and compared to Los Angeles, priced really well. The seating was problematic. They squeeze in families next to each other to maximize space, but for $175 per head, I would have hoped for more room. I get that it's all supposed to feel like one big ohana, but having loud, messy toddlers (with parents who refused to soothe them) seated next to me ruined the vibe a little. The dances were beautiful but I wish there was some sort of a primer on what the dance moves or the costumes or the headdresses all signified. I was hungry for information about the culture but maybe this was asking for too much because they did a lot in the three hours allotted for the luau. Service was impeccable. Servers took away dirty dishes and happily obliged us whenever we asked them to take our family photos. They were also very patient answering questions they've probably been asked so many times (what is poi? What is lilikoi?) I'd recommend this luau for anyone who wants to get delicious, authentic Hawaiian food, entertainment and a gorgeous view at a good price.

Yelp
Wow, I'm a bit surprised about the current reviews. We went and had a good time. Our friends bought the upgraded deluxe package which included alcohol, an elevated VIP Royal box seating area where the food was brought to us, mai tai's, lei greeting, and a $20 gift card to spend at the gift store etc, pictures and a Paradise cove bag. It was totally worth it. My little girl had so much fun! She even went on stage with her friend and was able to learn a few hula moves.

Yelp
So wifey say we haven't done A Luau together this is our adventure to this highly tauted venue and eatery. I love the fact that transportation to the venue can be arranged to pick you up at key locations taking the stress of driving out of the equation so you can focus on filling your stomach. There was a lot going on vendors shops and the bars were lined up with many patrons to enjoy libations and cuisine. Our server brought our salads followed by our entree of pork, two types of chicken and fish all somewhat traditional in choice the atmosphere was filled with the sounds of the Pacific at all time what a energized operation the people were beautiful and kind which is reflective of the island worth going to see and enjoy....

Yelp
A luau is a must for any first time visitor to Hawaii. While there are many luau options to choose from, Paradise Cove Luau looked to have the best reviews. We did the deluxe package which meant dinner was served table side. I think there is a buffet option as well for another package. We arrived a few minutes after gates opened (5pm). Parking is plentiful here. As you walk in, you are greeted with your choice of a nonalcoholic or alcoholic drink. Once you enter the luau, there are drink lines, fun games, a gift shore, and a place for a canoe ride. The food portions are big here. I found the food to be fair. The real gem of the night is the fire dancing. That was fun to witness. This is a must visit for tourists.

Yelp
- for the show - for food and service. We were one of the last tables to be escorted to the buffet tables and as we were plating our food, the workers were taking away the serving utensils and packing away the rest of the food. We had to go searching around to the other buffet tables for whatever is left. My favorite was the purple sweet potato and the pineapple.

Yelp
This was an amazing show. The location is so beautiful. It's a bit of a drive from Waikīkī and we got caught in a lot of traffic. It was well worth it. The workers were so friendly and efficient. We were seated quickly and got our food quickly. The food was delicious. The singers and dancers were incredible. The band was awesome. Very fun. The sunset was incredible. The fire dancers really made the show.

Big shout out to Deyvon, Rhonda, Kailana and the golf cart drivers for giving their best service to all the guests! We will come again. Thank you for a wonderful experience of our Family. Mahalo much Paradise Cove!

Yelp
Unforgettable! We have been to several other Luau's in Hawai'i when vacationing and I could say that Paradise is my new favorite! We purchased the Deluxe package last year and saved quiet some bucks. Although still on the high end money wise this is the way to go. So worth the extra $$$! We of course got front row seats as we were there to celebrate Birthdays and more. Deluxe package includes transportation to and from hotel which is so convenient when you will be drinking and want one less worry. Don't get an Uber or taxi this will cost $100 back to Waikiki! We were the first stop pick up at Hale Koa. The bus is a party bus and the Luau starts on your way there, So freaking cool! Our host was amazing and made the ride so fun and fast. Bus #2 is where the party is at! Arriving and being greeted and welcomed as we got off bus was so special! Gold Deluxe sticker and your fresh single strand orchard lei will instantly make you feel different, lol! You will get free welcome drink and a $20 spending card that can be used for drinks or their shops. I personally used for souvenirs. Food was pretty good. Come hungry for sure because they serve a ton of food. This includes appetizers, entree and desert which I believe is all you can eat. There is so much to do here, crafts, tattoos, shows, shops, target shooting and so much more! The music and entertainment, fire show was so cool! The dancers were gorgeous and so were all the outfits they changed into. The show itself was beautiful! At the beginning all Deluxe patrons received a complimentary professional picture taken before entering luau (not sure if standard ticket holders get this free). This portrait is handed out at the end of show with a really cool tote bag. We hope to be back at the Luau in the near future! It's located very close to the Aulani Disney Resort and there is not a chance we'd miss it when coming back for my daughters Birthday! We 10/10 recommend if you are in the island of Oahu.

Yelp
Dancers need to be in shape. One dancer in particular had large man breasts, which were distracting for the entire show. The food was below average, the only thing that was somewhat good was the kalua pork and rice. Some of the workers looked like they didn't want to be there and were yawning and dazed out. The quality has certainly gone down over the years. The ambiance was nice but was disrupted by parrots yelling throughout the show which was quite distracting.

Yelp
The luau was extremely not worth it for the price. I really regret blocking out a huge chunk of my time just to come here. Upon entering, we were greeted with alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. One cup per person. Then, we received some beaded leis. The workers only gave certain ladies hibiscus flowers to wear in their hair, so it was weird that they excluded others. There was a nice area that overlooked the ocean with professional photographers stationed there. You can still take your own pictures, of course, which is what I and a bunch of other people opted to do. One rude photographer asked me to move as if I didn't also pay to enter and take pictures. The photographer could've repositioned her own camera. Other than take pictures, there really wasn't much to do before dinner. We caught some hula dancing, the showcasing of the pig, saw someone climb a palm tree, and threw a stick at a target. All that probably only took 30 minutes and the activities were nothing to write home about. The ticket that we bought included a $20 voucher for each person. So we felt pressured to spend it all before the dinner and performance started. The lines for the drinks were HELLA long, so we went to the souvenir shop. There weren't a lot to choose from... even the ABC stores in Waikiki have better products. And the "prices" were hiked up. We noticed that people were lining up to get food from the buffet when we were still in the souvenir shop so we hastily grabbed a tote bag, haupia mix, and something else that I can't remember. We went to get our food and was sad to see that there wasn't much variety to choose from. We made sure to get the kalua pig because that was one of their selling points. Sadly, the food was probably the worst we've had during our whole time in Hawaii. We ended up not finishing most of what we had on our plate. The annoying part was that we were carrying our trays of food looking for seats and then realized that everyone else got assigned seats except us. I was so annoyed by the disorganization and the need to wait about 10 minutes for a worker to assign us seats. It would've been better if they just let people sit wherever they want because can you really assign 200+ people?? Anyway, the performances started and I couldn't help but yawn. I was waiting for the fire show the whole night but that only lasted about 5-10 minutes. The smartest thing that we did was leave a bit earlier to beat the traffic. TLDR; Did I really pay $280 for 2 tickets?? Much regret.

Yelp
I made the executive decision to book this luau vs the luau offered to me at the Marriott in Waikiki Beach in which I was staying. In the hopes that I would see a traditional pig burial ceremony and some hip shaking Polynesian dancers for the $275 I paid. What I received was short of my expectations. It was never made clear or announced clearly when they would be doing the pig ceremony; therefore, I missed the event. The dancers were doing more of hand gestures than moving their hips, which leads me to believe they were not talented enough to do so. The last 10 minutes of the show, they did provide the movements in which I was hoping to have saw through the hour plus show. The chiefs spinning the fire was awesome, but again that was apart of the last 10 minutes. They do offer games, lei bracelet making, tattoos, etc. however, with the amount of people at venue, the lines were long and service was slow, so you may just get to do one or two things if your lucky before dinner starts. It's all outdoors, so good luck with the weather, it was a cold and windy night for us, to be outdoors watching substandard entertainment. I'm still trying to understand why the staff calls everyone auntie and cousin. The food was okay, 3 course meal and the staff were friendly enough. If I had to do all over again, O would have taken the hotel option.
